Whiskey fans, whiskey snobs, cocktail sippers, people or like it on the rocks, just neat, or straight from the barrel-ers, cannot recommend coming here enough.
Have you been someone that has witnessed the Bourbon craze blowing up year over year? Do you want to know why? - it is because good bourbon has been getting good attention and growing more and more! This place is a prime example of that!
It only grows and grows each year and their offerings have grown both in diversity and in quality.
For those that are just semi interested in whiskey, go here, have a flight tasting. The staff is friendly, well informed, and you should not be afraid to ask questions. Treat it no different than a wine tasting nearby. Have them walk you through what to do, how to prep your palate, how to properly smell spirits, and how to best taste straight whiskey (or with added water/ice - no judgment here).
Their flights and with a barrel aged Maple Syrup that is soooooo dang tasty and good. You will likely try their flagship bourbon, their rye, and then maybe a finished bourbon that was finished in something fun like Apple Wood (and you'd be surprised how much you can taste the difference).
For those that are the bourbon enthusiasts, the real visit is something you want to plan. They offer a tour that is only $100 which not only comes with wider amount of variety for tastings, a walkthrough with all the history of the distillery, but most amazingly, comes with your chance to fill your own bottle of bourbon straight from the barrel.
These single cask, straight from the barrel, distiller's picks are far more expensive in store, and when I went, we were able to choose between a bourbon or rye whiskey. You get to taste each, fill your bottle and label it including marking its proof at the time measured.
So for only $100, you get a straight from the barrel cask strength whiskey chosen by the distillers, multiple tastings on the tour, and some great history learning about a Woodinville gem that has been blowing up on the national (and maybe global?) scale! Highly recommend, very worth it. Even if you only "like" whiskey, it is very fun to do just to learn and get educated on all of the steps and processes it takes to make your favorite sippers or cocktail sprits.
Cheers
