I came specifically to try their cronuts. Pleasant bakery with friendly and helpful staff. Cronuts were ok...I've had more flakier ones that are more on the croissant texture than donut. These were more donut which tasted good in flavor but they were not the traditional cronut I'm accustomed to. They were very soft. I will definitely return.

Google
Cronuts were awesome! Was on a cronut hunt because it’s hard to find cronuts in PG county. About a 40 min drive from Southern MD not too bad traffic for an early Saturday. First time coming and first impressions of friendly staff and clean shop with lots of variety. Called a day ahead to place order and had no issues. The Cronut is huge, bigger than my fist. It was definitely fresh, very moist, but still had the flakiness of a croissant and the doughy n texture of a doughnut. It was so good, Definitely will be back!

This business has been here for many years. The items are different than most baker's. They have pies, special children's cookies, home baked donuts. While things add up quick the quality is average.

Stopped in Sunday morning for the first time. Great local pastry shop and reasonable prices. We got four donuts and coconut macaroons. Will definitely be stopping by more to try out their other items!

Nasty rude women employee, at 6:20pm today, I had arrived at this Bakery to generous support their business. Sadly, my generosity wasn’t appreciated and I wasn’t welcome there. During, a conversation this women employee was having with another customer she decided to look over at me and state a racially ambiguous comment about how the customer should purchase a fat big chocolate cake. As, she was conversing with him and looking at me with a big smile and chuckles. I had became extremely emotional and unsafe to the point that I had left the store as quickly as I had entered. Conclusion: I don’t recommend this bakery to anyone especially African Americans/Black Americans. Since, we will be subliminally and having this women experiencing a Tourette syndrome/episode to identified us like colours, flavours, and different shapes.

This was my partner’s childhood favorite, so I decided to explore last Saturday morning. This bakery is great; the selection, quality, and service were outstanding! The donuts and danish made me very popular! This bakery will become a regular weekend destination!

I purchased 4 dozen of the Parker House rolls a week ago [12/18/24]. They were soggy/not well-done dough in the middle. I checked if somehow moisture may have gotten to them; didn’t seem so. For the next meal, I heated them sliced open, hoping to get rid of the uncooked thickness or the not fully cooked dough feel when eating them. That made it better but I ended up throwing several out. I’ve been purchasing the Parker House for over 10 years and never experienced that before. Maybe they have a new cook. If it happens again, I’ll return them so they can see and correct the problem.

Very uninviting. 'Hilga' stood watching for some reason. Not one smile or a bit of enthusiasm by the three people in the front. Heard good things however, my experience was uninspiring. All baked goods were dry and not flavorful.

Yelp
Wow, they are open on Thanksgiving day! Was able to pick up some treats for our family. Had to try the cronuts. Nice selection of goodies!

Yelp
I love this small pastry shop! The cupcakes and cookies are my fav! The service is excellent, there is always someone at the counter to help!

Maria L.

Yelp
Love this pastry shop especially the amazing aromas when you walk in the front door! Lovely service and you don't feel rushed. Delicious everything. Cookies. Donuts. Cupcakes. Breads. Cakes. JUST YUM. If I'm driving and I pass this spot, I'm gonna stop in! Today I tried a cheese danish and my friend got the apple fritter! Both were yummmmyy

Yelp
This was one of my favorite bakeries for many years, but I bought 3 different desserts on my most recent visit and they were all unfortunately dry and bland. The carrot cake in particular was downright inedible. Clearly and sadly the bakers have changed.

Yelp
A local staple and a cult favorite, WPS always has fresh pastries of any and every variety you can dream of. Want cheese bread? Yes, they got it. Want eclairs? They have 2 a small and large size. Want wedding cookies, or to know to the rest of us as sugar cookies? There's an entire display case full. Not to mention another display case full of cupcakes and individual indulgences. We went home with a dozen when we only meant to grab a treat to share. We loved their eclairs for the creamy eggy custard and smooth chocolate encased in a soft choux crust. My personal is their personal key lime pie, perfectly tangy with a solid thick crust for texture. Their donuts are pillowy and light, so much better than -rhymes with pumpkin- in my opinion, so don't settle for mediocre. I'm planning my next cheat day dessert already because those pineapple upside down cakes are calling my name! Keep in mind, if you need a dozen or more of any goodies at WPS, call at least a day ahead of time.

Yelp
Saturday 11/11/2023 The spot was filled with many many different treats and baked goods. The service was solid and helpful in explaining the different items. I got a carrot cake slice $4.60, chocolate chip cookie $1.45, apple cinnamon nut bun $2.75, Oreo cupcake $2.85. The prices for the items are pretty good. The carrot cake slice was okay, the chocolate chip cookie was alright, the apple cinnamon nut bun was decent but I could see it being a lot better if it were more moist and less dry, and the Oreo cupcake was solid. Sadly I wasn't able to try their cinnamon rolls due to them being completely sold out at the time but I would be open to returning just so I could try them for myself. Its a decent spot for sweets and baked items that i could see people enjoying.

Yelp
FANTASTIC "OLD SKOOL BAKE SHOPPE" Late hours, are especially convenient if you're picking up a pre-ordered cake, but if you want the best selection, get here early. I love the atmosphere. Delicious fresh in-house baked pastries, cakes, pies, and cookies. The square cheese danishes are the best you can get outside of New York. I highly recommend this bake shop! If you want the best selection, do what my grandpa did and get to the bake shop when they first open early in the morning. PS: On weekends, there's already a line when they open at 7 a.m. LOL

Yelp
I live across the road from Woodmoor Pastry Shop and have been here maybe close to a dozen times over the years. At first I was not sure what the fuss was all about, but now that I'm more of a regular and have sampled most of their product types, I know what's good. What's great about this shop is that they have a bit of everything, and much of it is made fresh daily, especially when it comes to bread, morning pastries and doughnuts. Things like cookies and cupcakes are probably not made daily, and at times I've had some cupcakes that were a bit dry. Where they stand out is what they make on a daily basis - the doughnuts and morning pastries and they make some decent breads and buns. The cookies have often been a miss for me as well as some of the other baked desserts. The cupcakes I would overall recommend the specialty ones, such as the Hostess and carrot cake. But what ends up bringing me into the shop on some mornings after my Saturday parkruns? The cronuts! They are big, fresh and oh so delicious. Even the day after, the are amazing (even more doughy and dense, in a good way!) The service is always fast and friendly and the price is very fair too!

Michele R.

Yelp
This family owned bakery is a local gem!! So many things to choose from and everything is baked on-site. My personal favorites are the rye bread, cronuts, macaroons and hamburger buns - I will never buy a grocery store hamburger bun again! Great service from the owners and neighborhood teenagers who work there. The triple berry pie is a must buy!

Amy S.

Yelp
This is where my work gets donuts for special occasions or when there is a meeting. I recently introduced my other half to this place, and he absolutely loves the place. We have been back twice in two weeks. So what's good? We have tried the donuts. They are all good, but my favorite is the apple fritters. All the cookies are good. And the muffins... wow. We also like the basic cupcakes there. I am sure we'll be back.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this place. It reminds me of an old style bakery, which I always look for. Stepping in here seems like going back in time. Staff were very helpful in answering my many questions. I went with the cheese danish since it looked good. Pulling it out of the bag, it was a lot heavier than expected. It's more of a pie crust and is filled with cheese throughout. No cutting corners on filling. It was well worth $2.60. I also liked how it wasn't very sweet and didn't have frosting/glaze on top. This shop sells cakes, bread/rolls, pastries of all kinds. I'll return to get more items.

Cyril M.

Yelp
We have been here occasionally after church since we always pass this shopping area. My dad grew fond of their baked goods. I liked the doughnuts that they had and the cinnamon bread. The long one. Its soft and not too sweet. Service was good. There were a few people helping everyone around the store. It gives a neighborhood bakery feel, it reminds me of bakeries back home. Quite nostalgic to be honest. I haven't tried the other cupcakes and cheesecake yet. Maybe next time.

Laura K.

Yelp
Wonderful donuts and they were great with our order ahead for a birthday party! The location is a little tricky to get into driving wise but it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
Went here for Paczki Day 2024 (aka Fat Tuesday) and the paczki were the most delicious I have had in the area. The stacks upon stacks of pre-orders were a good sign they know what they are doing. I also picked up some valentine's items for my family and the cupcakes and cheesecakes were delicious. Note: they aren't open on Mondays.

Yelp
Woodmoor Pastry Shop is the best kept secret in Silver Spring...if you call being a stalwart in the community (https://www.woodmoorpastry.com/about-us.html) for 68 years a secret. I had a relative who previously lived in the area, and I remember quite vividly the first time she took me there back in the early 2010's. Now that she no longer lives in MD, I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Silver Spring to get some of the best baked goods in the DMV. I imagine that walking into Woodmoor is the same feeling that Charlie had when he first steps foot into Willie Wonka's Chocolate factory. There is that unmistakable smell of flour and sugar and a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes from the large (and I do mean large) assortment of baked items. I've tried most everything on the menu ranging from cupcakes, pound cakes, danishes, pies, cookies, their seriously underrated version of the cronuts, but usually I pop in for their super delicious donuts. These are not the mass produced deep fried uniform and boring versions you get at Dunkin or some other large grocery store bakery. The donuts at Woodmoor are all scratch made and (as of this writing) at less than $1.50, a great bargain. Although probably not the best for my waistline, I usually get a few Boston Creme and whatever seasonal donuts are in stock. The Boston Creme has some heft to it and doesn't skimp on the vanilla custard filling. On my most recent visit, I also snagged a few of the Blueberry cake and maple glazed donuts and they were heavenly. To call Woodmoor just a humble pastry shop does not cover the full array of items they produce. Be sure to also try some of their rolls, pies, and their freshly baked loaves of bread. If they have it available, definitely get their onion/rye loaf. Everything is produced on-site daily, with bakers starting at midnight and going throughout the morning; and they do not use any preservatives so you can always be assured that all of the items for sale are FRESH. Places like Woodmoor don't really exist anymore, so if you're in the area I 100% recommend stopping in for a visit.

Yelp
I ordered the most wonderful chocolate pecan pie from here. Everyone loved it. I also ordered a carrot cupcake and enjoyed it. I used to buy the cookie boxes all the time and see they're still very popular. So nice to have a gem like woodmoor with a variety of desserts from cakes to bread.

Jon S.

Yelp
The pastries and donuts were great. They were fresh and well made. The service was attentive. They were well staffed. The prices were a tremendous value for the quality.

Shumuel O.

Yelp
Great place. Very affordable. My coworkers love this place especially their cronuts. Called the day before and they were able to have my order for me the next day.

Semone J.

Yelp
Went here on a Thursday around 3PM I had a sweet tooth & I was close by. I purchased two cupcakes The chocolate with the brownie on top. It was ok, nothing to write home about. The carrot cake cupcake was extremely dry with a weird smell. I looked at the other desserts in the case & quite a few of them looked dry. I definitely won't be returning.

Jose M.

Yelp
In an era where the options for baked goods tend to be either very high end specialty shops, or low end supermarket or coffee shop alternatives, Wood Pastry Shop is a return to the classic neighborhood bakery. I can't say enough good things about this place. The service is always fast and attentive. They have a wonderful variety of pastries. Their bread selection is a little more limited, but the loaves are solid. Their prices are also very reasonable. Will it be featured on a Cake Boss type show soon? No. But that's not the point. Good pastries, breads, and cakes at reasonable prices, with strong ties to the community. That's what they are, and what they do, and they do it so well.

Anye S.

Yelp
This is a place people either rave about or don't like. Which could describe many places, but I've been twice, and I actually get it and think both assessments are probably accurate. My actual rating is about a 3.5, to reflect the wide variability in quality of the goods they sell. The first time I went, I bought an assortment of pastries to take to a friend's house and they ranged from decent to bad. The cupcakes were the best in that lot; in the middle was cheesecake tarts that were fine but a little light for my taste. The worst was the key lime pie tart which tasted like it had canned filling and was flat out BAD. For anyone who loves key lime pie as much as I do, you absolutely can tell a good filling from a bad one. After that, I didn't go back for months because I was so turned off. But people on reddit kept recommending various items there so I wondered, maybe it's just a place where you have to know what to get. They have such a HUGE selection that not everything can be good. So I went back and ordered a cronut because that's one of the items someone said was really good there. My husband got a mocha mountain, which looked and sounded really good. IMO, the cronut was the winner. It was actually very good. (Pro tip - warm it first!). The mocha mountain to me was just ok. It wasn't bad like the key lime pie tart, but the cake under the frosting was a bit bland. So, I think this is a bit of a minefield. Keep a spreadsheet when you try things so you can remember what you like and what you don't. And for g-d's sake stay away from the key lime pie tart. You have been warned. (I would bet that if they used canned key lime filling they probably also use canned lemon filling for the sister lemon tart, so I advise avoiding that too...)

Yelp
Nine years after the end of World War II, a family-owned pastry shop opened in Silver Spring, Maryland. Three generations later, Woodmoor Pastry Shop still opens its doors at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and 7 a.m. on weekends. Beloved by the community, patrons that are like family walk into the small bakery surrounded by doughnuts, danishes, cookies, cakes, pies, and breads. After all these years, their slogan remains- "A quality product for a quality price." My daughter and I went on a Thursday morning around 10 a.m. in August. Here's our experience: 1) Food: When you walk in, pastries and baked goods line the inside of glass boxes to your left, right and in front of you. Spend a few minutes to look at each item. They have it all- doughbuts, cronuts, cakes, pies, eclairs, macaroons, cookies decorated in many ways, etc. I ordered two of the chocolate glazed doughnuts and my daughter got a raspberry macaroon. (Their macaroons are much larger than the bakeries in D.C.!) Each item was well baked and with balanced flavor and texture. 2) Service: Two women were working when we walked in. Despite a line, they managed it well. Each customer was served with efficiency and care. 3) Space: It's tiny and looks untouched from when it opened in 1954. If you grew up going to it as a child, all the memories will flood back. 4) Area: It's in the Woodmoor Shopping Center where you'll find a large parking lot and other shops like Santucci's Deli, Silver Spring Stage, and a watch shop.

Yelp
IIt's a lovely shop with a tantilizing variety of goodies presented in display cases. Small bakeries are rare yet a part of what makes a neighborhood a wonderful place in which to live. The fruitcake I had this season from this bakery was tasty. I had recently ordered holiday cookies to give to some upper-level managers at the office assuming they'd be baked that morning, to order. I wish the lady who took my order would've told me they were baked somewhere else, especially when I requested "fresh" cookies. I wish she had suggested I consider something else once she heard my request for "fresh". My first clue they were of supermarket quality was when I saw they were not in bakery boxes tied with string but in Christmas boxes with that perfect-as-though-decorated-by- machine appearance. I had wanted to be on time to the gathering where I would be gifting them so I didn't have time to think about an alternative. The cookies were also were premium-priced vs a vs what the supermarket would've charged for their bakery cookies. My plan had been to surprise the giftees with goodies of quality they can't readily get and might enjoy. Rather, they gave them to the teenagers in their respective households. The other reason why I had specifically requested "fresh" was because I had previously picked up a batch of cookies from Woodmor Pastry Shop to take as a small gift and was embarrassed because they were stale. I haven't given up on Woodmor Pastry Shop. I'll just avoid their cookies.

Yelp
Cronuts. Holy freaking Cronuts. They are so good, got to grab a few early in the morning for coworkers and they were all impressed by how good the donuts were. I heard you have to come in early to claim them. This place IS across the street from a high school, so it's no wonder things sell out. I'd probably come every day if I went to Blair. Portions are huge. Glazed and crispy on the outside. Soft, buttery, and pillowy on the inside. What's not to love? I am a huge donut fan. I think I found my new favorite donut place. Thank you Woodmoor. I will be coming again to satisfy my donut cravings.

Maya D.

Yelp
I went here for the almond croissant which was amazing! I didn't expect it to be so soft and fluffy. The almond flavor was very present and tasty. The cheese Danish was only okay (not enough filling at all). The mini cheesecake was lacking in mmph, it just needed a little more something. ... But that almost croissant... I'll be back.

Carole P.

Yelp
My daughter ordered a "construction themed" cake for her 3 year old from somewhere in Virginia. 2 days before the party, no cake was available. I contacted Woodmoor Bakery and spoke with the owner around 5 pm Thursday evening. He managed not only to provide a very cool cake for our vehicle obsessed child by Friday, but the cake was delicious. The proof was evident when the kids not only crushed the icing, but along with their parents, enjoyed the incredibly delicious cake. I am very grateful to Woodmoor for their efforts, timeliness, and quality of the product at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this family owned business. Carole P.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and have a sense of urgency. Thank you for making my sister's 50th bday special w/ your the Napoleon cake- it was heavy goodness :)

Mekdela T.

Yelp
I love this place. I'm obsessed. I wish I lived closer, but God knows if I did.... I'd be a walking Cheesy Loaf Bread. The shop is small, very in and out. Walk in, everything looks amazing, freshly baked, get what you want and leave. Keep in mind, some of the stuff is so good that they sell out of things fast. We called early one morning and asked them to put cronuts and bread to the side and they did! You honestly can't go wrong with anything you get here. So far, I've had the CHEESY LOAF BREAD (an absolute must), the CRONUTS (another absolute must), and various DONUTS. Please come here before going to any franchise bakery, this place is just amazing. I've also heard their cakes are good, so I'll definitely be back for that. Now, the cheesy loaf bread, don't just eat it by itself, I mean you can, and it's still great, BUT I've used it for chicken sandwiches, avocado toast...I mean it's so so good with it all!

Real R.

Yelp
Love their fresh breads and cronuts. But they always sell out so fast. So get them when you can.

T. C.

Yelp
Want to love this bakery but every time I purchase something, it doesn't taste home made or fresh. Bought a pecan braid today and it was as dry as could be. I've given boxes of overpriced cookies to others as gifts and it's underwhelming. It seems nostalgic when you walk in, but it's not. Would love for them to take peoples feedback and upgrade somethings. Having a neighborhood bakery is a charm.

Dan D.

Yelp
Since moving to maryland, this bakery has become one of my favorite spots. Delicious, affordable, friendly. Thank you.

Veronique L.

Yelp
It's official. As long as I live in this area, I will trek to Woodmoor Pastry Shop for their paczkis, which have been selling out by mid morning. The two times I have gone this month I have placed orders for them so by the time I reach the front of the line to get in (they are only letting in three customers at a time), my box of deliciousness is waiting for me. The first time there might have been one left but the second time, the guy behind me inquired about them and was told they had been sold out for the day. At $1.49, I maintain they are an excellent value. The freshness of the dough and the abundance of jelly and powdered sugar have earned fans from all over. Everyone I have shared these paczkis with have exclaimed how great they are. Now that I know they sell them from January - March, I might have to go every other week! I'm also a fan of the gobs ($1.54/each). Very hefty and made with fresh ingredients, they hold for a few days. I was skeptical about the cronut but they have also lived up to their hype. Thank you, fellow Yelpers! Parker House rolls are another customer favorite and we have continued to enjoy them for almost a week! They are wonderfully pillowy soft and buttery. Perfect to enjoy on their own, or slightly warmed with some butter, anyway you eat them will be fine.

jo o.

Yelp
Ensure you know what you want before you enter this shop. Once inside and you see the many delicassies and smell the wonderful aromas you soon will be leaving with arms full!! Service was fantastic, varieties plentiful, and reasonably priced. This is a shop well worth going out of your way to visit.

Yelp
Great bakery in silver spring with a large assortment! Arrived late on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend. There were a few people in line and the store has a limit of 3 guests at one time. The woman working behind the counter was very friendly, answering any questions we had. She said that the best sellers are he Parker rolls and the danish/breads. She also pointed out that everything is made fresh. However, some items are in a refrigerated case while others like the danish are not, which may mean that the refrigerated case items are older and Hereford are refrigerated to keep fresh. Not sure but this is a guess. They also have items in the shelves against the wall that I believe were just baked. Walnut almond danish - very good. Almond paste flavor, soft and fresh. Maple danish - again very good, soft and fresh Whoopie pie (there is another name for this but cannot recall it) - two chocolate cake cookies with a buttercream frosting in the middle. Very fresh. The frosting was thick and sugary how a traditional bakery frosting should be. And the cake was light and flavorful. We also ordered an iced cookie and a peanut butter type cookies. These tasted good but were.m not very soft. If you like soft cookies, it may be better to stick with the cake like items or danish. They give you a nice white bakery box for the danish and pastries. All of this for $8. Very good pastries for a very good price. Probably as close to a jersey type bakery as you will find in the dc area in terms of assortment. Con: the parking lot is small and busy with tight parking spaces Check out this bakery if you love danish and other traditional bakery items.

Yelp
Cookies. Holy moly cookies. I'd probably come every day if I went to Blair. This place IS across the street from a high school, so it's no wonder things sell out. They are so good, grab a small box of assorted cookies for my friends to share. Portions are average. Buttery sugary and flaky on the inside. What's not to love? I am a huge cookie fan. I think this place is wonderful. Thank you Woodmoor. I will be coming again to satisfy my cookie cravings.

Katherine V.

Yelp
I was hesitant of going to this pastry shop honestly because of all the reviews of the bad customer service and the quality of the pastries. I went just to see because I ain't feel like going to washington dc for some cupcakes, so I prayed for the best. Honestly it's not bad the cupcake aren't as good as cupcakes from sprinkle, georgetown cupcakes, or kupcakes & co. The place is relatively small. The signs inside of the showcase need to be updated because I didn't even know the oreo cupcakes were oreo because the sign on top said chocolate chip and the red velvet cupcakes were on a different sign. The girl who attended us was nice so no complications the only thing was that she put my cupcake tilted like.. at least put it well. the quality of the cupcake isn't bad just dry not wet and the frosting doesn't make it better.

Mark C.

Yelp
Free parking in front of the store. Located in same shopping center with Chipotle and UPS store. This spot is a pretty decent bakery. In terms of pricing, it's very similar to other bakeries. Highly recommend their Apple turnovers and Berry pies. Also, the staff here are extremely friendly and their food looks fresh. Please note that they have limited hours and close on Mondays. Definitely will come back here to try out their other bakery items in the future.

Jasmine A.

Yelp
Very cute shop. I love the food here and it's always fresh everyday! Most times they sell out of the cookies or the cheese buns, but that means that everything is fresh the next day! I would recommend this place for sweet and quick pastries and snacks!

Alison T.

Yelp
My family has been coming to this bakery forever for the Parker house rolls, and pies. Thanksgiving and Christmas can't happen without them. They have always been consistent, and the lines around the holidays are indicative of how good they are. I love supporting this local business, you can't go wrong with anything here. It's pastry heaven!

Ashley S.

Yelp
I have been on the hunt to find the best doughnuts in the DMV area and Woodmoor Pastry Shop was on my list of places to try. I called a number of times before I began my 30 minute drive, but the line was busy. The purpose of the call was to make sure they still had doughnuts available. Unfortunately, no one ever picked up and I drove to the bakery anyway. (Honestly I think the line was just off the hook) Once I arrived I was told that they had no more doughnuts!!! At that point, I think I may have just stared at the lady for a good 20 seconds before I said anything, because I was so disappointed. A 30 minute drive from DC and they were out of doughnuts! ( stomps feet.. ) I decided to get a cupcake instead and I have to say I was not blown away. Now in all fairness, I did arrive at approximately 3:30 pm. And the fact that all of the doughnuts were sold out is a sign that Woodmoor may be selling some really delicious doughnuts. I think I will give them another try,I'll just make sure I confirm that there are doughnuts or arrive super early. It's a cute bakery, the staff was nice, and they did a very good job regarding applying restrictions due to Covid 19 ( only 3 customers at a time).

Yelp
Their cronuts are the best but they rarely have them available. Everything else I've tasted has been okay.

Yelp
Worst cupcake ever. I asked whether it was fresh and was told it was just baked. It was supper dry and inedible. Had to toss the $2.70 cupcake. It's the 3rd time I gave them a try. Wow.

Yelp
They sell Paczki here for Mardi Gras! They might be available other times but I bought them on Fat Tuesday. Of the dozen that I distributed, both were absolutely delicious but the jelly filled were slightly more popular. Great little shop overall that has done a great job with the pandemic in terms of how they run the business safely. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
There are not enough words to describe my disdain for this dismal bakery, but I will try. I live walking distance, and without another bakery in close proximity, I begrudingly patronize this shop when I need a baked good. I've gotten children's bday cakes, cupcakes, pies, other bakery goods, and nothing actually tastes good. The best I can say about the taste is "it wasn't terrible." Granted, I haven't tried their Cronuts, which is what most people are praising. Even more disappointing is the disrespectful employees who act like they don't care if you buy anything or not. They are not attentive when you walk in. They don't even greet you with pleasantries. A lot of high school students work here part time, but it's not even the youngsters who lack customer service skills. Many adult workers here are just plain rude--from giving stink eyes, to not even saying "thank you" after you pay for your item. They ooze an attitude of "I'd rather be somewhere else." I'm writing this review in a desperate attempt to get the owners to notice how poorly their shop is run. I don't know if the owners regularly work in the shop; if they do, perhaps they are the reason for the poor customer service. If they don't, they need to know how awful their staff is. This is a bakery, not a gun shop. You expect pleasantness from staff and sweetness from the treats. I get neither. I would rather pick up a box of Entennemans before I buy another thing from this place.

Yelp
One word: Paczki. That's already the best review needed, but whenever I hear Paczki, I immediately need to hear everything about it (where'd you get that?! Is it like home or are they fake naming a jelly donut?! How many can I eat before my pancreas turns in its resignation?) After a nearly exhaustive pre Fat Tuesday search of the DMV, Woodmoor Pastry Shop had only the best answers to all those questions-- here, they're legit, and they made enough that I gave it a sporting chance. (Sorry panc-pal!) Woodmoor is a small, cute little pastry shop with a really nice selection. The staff is nothing but friendly, attentive and helpful as can be. I'll be back to create many more of my own personal Fat Tuesdays with breads, cakes, and whatever other delicious baked good catches my eye that day.

Yelp
Had heard about them forever. Ordered cookies for an event. They were delicious! And the soda bread I bought when ordering the cookies was wonderful. Can't wait to try more of their treats.
