Woodstock's Pizza SLO

First thing you do is you order and pay and get a buzzer, then you go find a table for you and your group. We arrived there around 12pm for 2 people and noticed a line forming, luckily it moved quickly. We ordered 2 of their specialty pizzas, the Carnitas and the Butter Chicken, both personal sizes. It took around 20-25 minutes to get our order, but it arrived hot and fresh. The place is huge and it looks very well decorated; It has the feel of a sports bar/restaurant. The service was excellent and everyone is willing to help you. Overall we would highly recommend this place if you’re SLO and looking for a family friendly pizza place.

The best pizza I've had in years. Thick doughy crust that was folded over to contain some tomato sauce, heated perfectly throughout to a high temperature enough to keep the cheese stretchy and amazing for at least 20 minutes. I got an extra large and almost ate all of it myself. It was so good. I would eat there everyday if I could.

Pizza was delicious, point blank. Great flavor, plenty of heat (literally), and a decent atmosphere. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the ridiculous wait AT THE DOOR, simply to grab some slices and beers. Scrapped my first visit to settle for elsewhere because of it and stuck it out the second time for the sake of trying the darn place. Lots of youth, which is entertaining due to their bliss. Overall, decent visit.

Woodstocks is probably the best in town. I haven’t tried every pizza place, so couldn’t say for sure, but from what I have, it is. I love the cauliflower crust and get it well done. They almost always make it perfect. I love when a place pays attention to custom orders. The salads are always good and fresh, too. There is a ton of room to dine, but gets very busy during peak hours. Lots to love about this place!

Great food and great service. My only complaint is that I ordered a Medium pizza but was charged for an X-large Which i didn't even notice until we go our food because there was a long line and I just paid to move quickly. Other than that, the staff is amazingly friendly. Its a definite stop for us again.

Easily some of the best pizza I've ever had! Service was super nice and helpful. The price is a little on the high end but I was still able to feed a family of 6 for a little under $100. Highly recommend this place!

So we were craving a pizza since we had nothing but seafood since we have been here. I ordered a large cheese pie thin crust with extra cheese WELL DONE. I’m sad to say that Costco has better pizza than this. You pay $30 for a pizza that wasn’t well done as I asked for. And def not extra cheese which I was charged for. This is the first place I’ve tried with over 500 reviews. In this case it has 2.3k reviews and failed us. Def ruined my appetite and wish it wasn’t the case!

Walking into this place made me feel so nostalgic. I grew up going to their location in Davis and I hadn't been back in YEARS. My girlfriend and I were stopping in SLO for the night so I had to get me some woodstocks pizza!!! We got slices. Garlic bird and pepperoni. Both were really good. The garlic sauce is incredible and the pepperoni is a classic that makes me feel like I am 9 years old again. The crust will absolutely always be my favorite part!!! Where are all my pizza crust lovers out there? This place is for you!!!

Stopped by to try their promoted AYCE pizza deal (11 am - 3 pm weekdays). Great deal for $9.95. Pizza available is limited to what is in their display case for slices. They offer cheese, pepperoni, combo, and another. I don't care for vegetables on my pizza so I thought I would go for pepperoni. There was no pepperoni slices when I made my order. Staff said she would order. Forty minutes later, still no pepperoni. If it took this long to make a pizza she should have told me. I made the assumption like other pizza AYCE or buffet places that they made pizza for the buffet constantly. I would have opted for available slices or left if I knew it was going to be 40 minutes for a pepperoni pizza slice. Maybe it was my mistake for not asking and assuming it would be like other pizza buffet places. Manager(?) gave me a refund and offered complimentary slices. I said no but changed my mind to try one slice because I wasted 40 minutes of my time. Staff I spoke to were nice and welcoming but they should tell you how long it would take. I visited this place while on vacation, thanks to a recommendation from my sister-in-law. It was busy, but the service was quick. The family-friendly atmosphere was a plus, especially with my kids. The staff were very helpful with suggestions even with a long line. For sure made you feel like they cared. As for the food, it was good--nothing fancy, just basic pizza, but it was a well-made pie. The salad, cheese bread, and chicken wings were also a good choices. I might try the place across the street before coming back, but it's definitely a spot I'd be willing to visit again.

After date with my hunny after anytime anything Pizza is thee best! Ice cold beer! Let's not forget yummy Antipasto Salad. Woodstock is a favorite of ours for 21 years. Service is quick and friendly. Ambiance is very loud, fun college like. I like it. It keeps me young LOL plus beer, wine, darts, giant janga, shuffleboard... it's a great spot for family too!

My first impression was not good as our cashier seemed more interested in helping people at the bar than ringing up our order. Also she did not hand me the beer, only the buzzer, she put the cups of beer behind her and only gave them to me when I left my table and came back to ask for them. After that it was a pleasant experience. The beer was good and the pizza was delicious. I love when they serve it to you super hot and this one was. The combination of the crust, sauce, cheese and toppings was delicious. We got a large special and we couldn't finish it. If you train the cashier better, it could be 5 stars.

Mar2024 We had sat in for a group dinner and had a nice sized table in the back. They answered any questions we had at the front and were accommodating throughout the night. Check ins were frequent, water you can refill on your own at the soda machine. We got a couple of different pizzas to share: Woody's Waui, Pepperoni, the All Meat Orgy, and the Pesto Primavera with a couple of pitchers of beer to wash everything down. Everyone liked the pizza and the check ins were good to make sure the pitchers were filled. I was more partial to the primavera but I think I was the only vegetarian there so it made it a bit easier. All the veggies and the pesto worked really well together. Still a mainstay since Davis, it was good to stop in here and spend some time.

Great place! Been going there at least 1 a week for 25 years. The new renovations are locked on! Great service, especially with employee Noland who went out of his way to provide outstanding service!

I've never been disappointed with this place even when they mess up. Came after waiting for another place for 1.5 hours. We have a toddler and we just needed to eat. Atmosphere is very casual, loud, definitely a hang out spot. We ordered a large pepperoni, 6pc hot buffalo wings, crazy bread with cheese and a chicken ceaser. The timing of the food was great! Salad then wings and bread. Unfortunately after about 30 min our pizza was MIA, husband asked and the manager went to check. She came to our table and admitted the pizza wasn't made and had no reason. And honestly for me that was the best answer anyone could give. The honesty for me goes such a long way because there is a thing called human error. I've been guilty. She offered us a free slice of pizza for my toddler which was great! Every single employee there was WORRRKINGG. Plates picked up, multiple check ins, and just overall a great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back.

Freshest most delicious pizza in SLO. They use the freshest ingredients and you can taste it in every bite! Atmosphere is so fun, always bustling and feels like a family place. Service is some of the best you'll get ANYWHERE! Employees are always upbeat, diligent, careful, full of joy, they want to be there and they love to help you. Even over the phone they take such care, it's really special. The Gluten Free pizza is SO GOOD, even my friends without allergies love the taste and texture! And they take so much care with allergies.

False advertising. Bait and switch. Price clearly advertised on signage for pizza and beer special, no days specified only times. Rings up incorrectly. Asked cashier and she says they are aware but those were the signs corporate sent. Sounds like they need to fix their signs. I later asked for a refund of the difference which she graciously did for us after we sat. It was embarrassing but also for the principle of the matter. $6 and change difference is no small change. Wondering if management will fix their misleading signage.

I'm so glad I was able to go to woodstocks again to try the same pizza! This time it was very tasty and had a lot of flavor, the service was amazing and to top it off the wings!!! THE WINGSSSS are out of this world good!

One of my go-to late week night places! On Mondays, I love grabbing two large pizzas with my friends because of their BOGO deal. On the other days, the cheesy wild garlic bread hits different and is also a good pairing to their beers! After 9 P.M., their beer pitchers start at $9 which is great to share with my friends. P.S. Get your group to drink more before playing shuffle board, you're welcome ;)

Server offered complimentary cinnamon bread as it was my brothers birthday, I thought that was kind and tipped her additionally. When it did not come out he went up and asked and the same server told him to show the receipt and acted like she didn't remember. This may have been because she was super high with red eyes and smelled like weed. She has red curly hair if a manager sees this. Food was just ok

Came here at around 7pm on a Wednesday. Made the order online but came in to have a beer and watch the laker game for a little bit. Took the pizza home, got an extra large, half SLO Classic and half Meat Orgy. Also got the Loaded Tots. Everything was so good!

Like great swimmers... and other athletes who wish they were swimmers... the pizza at Woodstock gets cupped. Flip Over any slice and you will see evidence of treatment. A hundred tiny flames under glass cups work on this pizzas back side to induce maximum relaxation. It's finals week and after eating a slice of the margarhitta pizza from this place I too was ... relaxed. I wish I could give this place 5 stars but I can't. Sorry. Thanks for the study break. I'm from Fresno and I LOVE PIZZA... gotta say this is my second favorite place. We ordered 1 large pep and 1 large kickin carnitas and a side of 6 wings. Although juicy, the wings were a little fatty, I've paid about the same for more and better. I felt like I got a slight vinegar taste from the Buffalo sauce, a little watery too. Not bad but not great. The pizzas were good! The crust was amazing soft, fluffy, crunchy and consistent (not as thick as I thought it would be though). I will always recommend the pepperoni. The kickin carnitas is good! It has a flavor of its own and thats why I enjoy it but lacks sauce and I get that it may be tough to match a sauce to go along with the toppings BUT lacking and we know sauce goes a long way. The sizes of the pizza are smaller than usual I feel like the large is an actual medium but that just an opinion IDK... considering the price just expected more. The environment was good and the hostess was chill and helpful. I paid over $70, a bit much considering what I mentioned about the pizza size and I would've expected at-least 12 wings. No drinks were ordered. Eat up and enjoy!

Went there for dinner. Didn't see any parking but food was good. Ordered bbq chicken pizza with no bacon added pineapple. Have to order in the front first and they will give you a machine and bring the food on your table. Service was ok overall.

I came in at 1030pm and there was literally 2 other tables inside the front area. It was NOT busy at all. Especially when I looked over and saw the kitchen chillen and joking around with each other. They forgot to make my pizza because they weren't paying attention. Over it.

There is a reason they ranked so high both locally and nationally! Every ingredient is incredible and very fresh! You can taste it in every bite. Absolutely delicious doesn't do it justice! One of the best pizzas I've ever had AND the BEST "gluten free pizza" I've ever eaten. And they are really allergy conscious. Service was wonderful! I called to double check an order and they were so sweet, even made a change over the phone for me. They love what they do and truly passionate. It is a fun lively environment, but it can get crowded and noisy. Thankfully ordering it to go or delivered is very easy! Do not pass on this pizza! The Best! I do really wish they had more sizes available for Gluten Free.

Just moved here from the Bay Area. Every time we visit we get pizza. Now that we live here we thought we can order for delivery. Was on the phone for 20mins. The guy couldn't get my order correct and so a girl came on the phone and tried to place the order. She offered a dessert pizza but I asked if we can do a salad and apparently the manager said no. So I don't think we will be getting pizza from them again. 20mins on the phone and no order placed

This place is good. The pizzas really good, very american pizza. The crust is really good. Honestly, this place is good if you want a quick pizza this would be the place. But if you wanted nice gourmet italian pizza this is not it. But the ranch is so good here. It's kinda a good not great place

I've gone to Woodstocks for years (because it's an iconic spot, the pizza is ok), but I had an experience that made me not want to return or continue recommending it. I ordered a medium pizza with only a few ingredients on a night they weren't particularly busy, with most tables empty. Around 30 minutes in, I noticed people getting and finishing their food, even though they arrived after me. I didn't want to assume that they forgot, so I waited 10 minutes before going to the register. I talked to someone who I assume was the manager because they were dressed in all black. They told me to wait a second, and walked away. Someone else came up, I asked the same question, they looked at the pizzas, in the oven, and at more pizzas, then said my pizza was in the oven and that it'd be out in 5 to 10 minutes. I waited 15 before coming back (now waited 55 minutes) and returned to talk to the same person. They said it wasn't there, they were sorry, and that they'd start working on it. I didn't know how long it'd take, so I waited for another 20 minutes before coming back. The manager was there, recognized me, and handed me the pizza. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes, there were no apologies, no compensation, just a lukewarm pizza. I would have given more stars if there was proper professionalism, but I wasted so much time and almost missed the last bus of the day for a pizza that was just alright.

First time coming here and it was so much fun!! Very loud and fun atmosphere. My friends and I went here for trivia night and had a blast playing! While playing trivia night, we ordered this garlic cheesy bread and we just could not stop eating, it tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

Was introduced to Woodstock's Pizza SLO by my boyfriend and his friends and safe to say that it is one our staple hangout places in SLO now! We love their $9 pitches after 9 PM and their BOGO pizza on Mondays! We also love playing their board games and shuffle board! We get very competitive and makes the whole experience even better. A favorite late night order is the garlic cheesy bread! A great pairing with a cold glass of beer

Quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The dough has no chew to it and has the taste of cardboard and for some reason, the crust is much thicker than at other pizza places. Honestly, I'm not sure if this was just a bad experience or what, given the somewhat positive reviews. I may also have different standards for pizza growing up in NY. (Took the pizza to-go so I cannot comment on the ambiance or service.)

I want to give this long-time local favorite five stars. I really do. I grew up with this place. The crust wrapped over the sauce was always a highlight for this kid who has always held that crust is meant simply as the carrier of the good stuff: sauce and toppings; no bit of crust should be without. The upgrades and expansion over the years has certainly helped house more customers, but the cleanliness of staff practices on repeated visits has turned me away (pizza maker dipping his hand into his ass crack for a good scratch before dipping back into toppings for my pizza; salad maker dropping bag in floor, picking it up and placing in lettuce bin, then proceeding to use that lettuce to make salad, etc.). Yes, I contacted the manager on site at these times (as did the younger couple behind me in line who saw the ass crazy incident). No, there was no apparent reaction. I also wrote to corporate to let them j ow what was going on at the shop. I don't recall any response whatsoever. So, no, this isn't a sour grapes review. This used to be my favorite local place, but I'm putting my health and food safety first. Maybe enough beer served by the glowering employees will kill the germs, but if there's no safety and no service, I'll find myself another favorite local pizza.

GOOD DEAL ! My wife and I were on vacation in Cambria not long back with my wife's son and his girlfriend. Not much choice in quality pizza going on in Cambria so we thought it was worth the drive to San Luis Obispo to check out our dining options. Woodstock Pizza was our pick and we weren't disappointed. The four of us devoured 2 medium size pizzas which were the regular style crust with delicious fresh toppings. We knocked back a few glasses of the San Francisco Speakeasy IPA. Great service and we didn't have to wait long ! NOTE - Of course with over 22 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics in 2022 I can tell you what is great !

It was alright- it was a pizza. I didn't think the dough or cheese were spectacular. The crust was interestingly folded so the last bites of crust have some sauce. The medium pizza was rather small, more of a 1-2 person pie rather than 2-3. Service was really slow at 9pm on a Wednesday, we stood in line for 10 minutes before ordering. Mojito was refreshing! Not sure if I need to come back next time I visit SLO.

I came to SLO to visit my friend for the weekend and he took me to this pizza place. The food was AMAZING and our server Kate really made our night! We were seated at the bar enjoying our time, and she always made sure we were doing ok. This place rocks

A solid pizza in a lively atmosphere. Have eaten here in the past several years ago so it was a go-to when we wanted somewhere to eat without having to search and research choices. The place was hopping and as we waited for our pizzas we were watching the crew at work. No slackers here - everyone was doing their job full on and were friendly and accommodating considering how busy it was. The pizza is decent. Good topping load. The rolled crust is ok, not my favorite but it was freshly made. Had a couple of slices left over that were delish the next morning straight out of the fridge - the only proper way to eat leftover pizza for breakfast! Would eat here again.

Don't be fooled by the smell when you walk by. This is up there with the worst pizza I've ever had. Not sure why there was a line of people waiting to order. After we ordered the wait time was insane....almost an hour for our salad and pizza, once pizza arrived..it looked like a spare tire..the crust was thick doughy..it looked like a tasteless pretzel..the red sauce was not pizza sauce ..tasted like a spicy marinara sauce in a meatball dish. Sorry your pizza sucks

Apparently , if you sit at the bar and expect someone to help you, forget it. You will be ignored. No one is interested in service. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke, but no. And NO!

Girl taking my order stole my husbands ID claiming it was a "Fake" then the manager wouldn't give it back until the cops showed up. I stayed the entire time waiting and the whole time he's telling him "I know a fake when I see one." And my husband made a deal with him that if the cops give him his ID back that the manager owes him $20, they shook on it. The cops came, gave my husband his valid ID back, classes the manager and his uneducated overpaid waitress on how to check ID, then he took my husbands Venmo to send him $20. We still haven't received it. Not only are they not very smart and wasted his time, they don't keep their word when they shake hands on an agreement. The places ambience reeks of false promise. I'll take my review down when we get our $20. To be clear this was the night of 05/16/2024.

I have always make this a regular stop when I head back from Simi Valley to San Francisco. The pizza is great. I only get the "All Meat Orgie." Waldo was here too.
