"A new destination for booze-infused game watching called Woodtop Tavern has just debuted in Plano from the minds behind Turkish Cafe & Lounge. The brand new sports bar is located at 8408 Preston Road within a 3,400-square-foot space that houses a full bar, kitchen, pool tables, a live music stage, and more than 30 TVs for game watching. Plus drinkers will find another 2,000-square-feet of outdoor space on the patio. The bar serves up draft and bottled beer, wine, and cocktails. Drinkers can take advantage of daily happy hour specials like half-price margaritas on Mondays and $3 drafts on Wednesdays. As far as food is concerned, think typical bar fare: fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, nachos, spring rolls, and bruschetta for appetizers. Entrees include pizza and tacos, six kinds of burgers, chicken wings, grilled fish, and a 10-ounce New York strip steak. 'I love creating new concepts that are comfortable and inviting,' said owner Mehmet Shon Celik, who also owns the neighboring Turkish Cafe. 'We’ve done exactly that with Woodtop Tavern. We want it to be your go-to neighborhood bar.' Woodtop Tavern is now open and operates seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m." - Alaena Hostetter

Y'all come out and see Christina!!! She will be working Wednesday thru Sundays! Great drink specials, half priced pizza and wings during Happy Hour. Amazing deck out back, pool table, live music on Friday and Saturday nights and free poker on Thursdays with #CCP! (Off 121 and Preston. SE Corner, Next to Pei Wei)

Just left here and the service was ok. We were charged full prices until we mentioned to our waitress that it was Happy Hour all day on Sundays. They fixed the $120 bill down to $90, but we saw the two most ridiculous charges on the bill. $3 for ice and 18% service charge for gratuity!!! My husband had 4 drinks and we were charged $3 for every drink that he had! Absolutely ridiculous! We also had issues with service at the beginning and I would have given them 18%, but just to take it is crazy. I’ll never be back and I will definitely tell others not to go. What a shame because the food was actually decent.

We had an awful experience at this "tavern". The happy hour prices were good...but the service was horrible. First, there was 1 other table occupied when we arrived and only 2 other tables the whole time we were there. I ordered a pizza and my wife and son ordered tacos. Their tacos came out in about 15 minutes. We were told the pizza would be "right out". Fifteen minutes later....no pizza and no wait staff had checked on us. Thus, I went to the bar to ask about the pizza and get another drink. I was told the pizza would take another 5 minutes. Ten minutes later...no pizza. I asked for the pizza to be boxed and I would eat it at home. Five minutes later I paid the bill and received the pizza. For those counting...that is 45 minutes for a pizza and my family had their tacos sitting in front of them for 30 minutes. So, we headed home. To top it all off, the pizza was not cooked. There are way too many other restaurants in the area and we will not be back.

The tacos were loaded with onion and tomatoes which we put on the order no onions or tomatoes(did not eat) also had no cheese when we put a note for extra cheese, the other tacos order came with flour instead of corn(I can't have flour). The calamari was way too salty. The buffalo wings didn't even come sauced and were naked. I wasted $70 on food we couldn't eat. The only reason we ordered from here was the menu showed italian seasoned breading cheesesticks and they looked nothing like the pictures had no Italian seasoned breading whatsoever. Ordered on Uber Eats.

Uggghhh...really pricey (and for no apparent reason): $30 for a cheeseburger and 2 bottles so of beer. Burger was very good, but $13 for a bar food burger? 12 oz Shiner bottles were $5.5 each...that's what 16 oz pints of import or craft beer costs at other places. "That only adds up to $24" you say? "You told us it was $30" you say? That's because they add a mandatory service charge to the bill, pre-tip (yes, the server appeared to expect me to tip on top of it until I question the total!). I went in early afternoon on a weekday...place was dark, empty, and I had to announce myself to person behind. the grill. I wish I had left then. Waiter was very nice and pleasant. I hope he gets that exorbitant service charge as he was the one providing the service. I bet not, though...

Unbelievable! The bar tender Umit was so rude. I ordered 2 drinks and a glass of ice water which totaled $31.00. I asked to see the itemized bill and the bar tender told me, "I have other customers waiting." I said never mind with the drinks and he proceeded to take the glass of water away as well. He says, "I'm not serving you." We are here in this establishment and for him to treat customers like that is unexpectable. The manager Shawn did recover. Thank you!

Food was atrocious. stopped in on my home from work on 02/12/19 to grab a quick bite and a drink and ordered the cheese sticks or should I say "sticks" there was no cheese in the damn cheese sticks. Service was slow even though I was the only one in there. Bar staff had no idea what the hell they were doing. Very pricey for a sports bar. Only giving 1 star because they did have alot of TV's.
