"Woody’s serves the kind of saucy barbecue that leaves orange streaks across your face and dyes your cuticles for days. But the ribs here are worth the 3pm shower. People like to say “fall off the bone” in a metaphoric sense. But the way these bones nosedive away from the meat and bang onto plates is startling. And they have a few Nicaraguan curveballs on the menu too, like fried cheese with guava and ensalada de repollo. This is a barbecue spot with the spirit of a small-town bar. The dining room is lined with license plates and framed Dolphins photos. Friends bite into burgers at the high tops while ‘90s country hits twang over the stereo.
