The Best Restaurants In Miami Springs - Miami - The Infatuation

"Woody’s serves the kind of saucy barbecue that leaves orange streaks across your face and dyes your cuticles for days. But the ribs here are worth the 3pm shower. People like to say “fall off the bone” in a metaphoric sense. But the way these bones nosedive away from the meat and bang onto plates is startling. And they have a few Nicaraguan curveballs on the menu too, like fried cheese with guava and ensalada de repollo. This is a barbecue spot with the spirit of a small-town bar. The dining room is lined with license plates and framed Dolphins photos. Friends bite into burgers at the high tops while ‘90s country hits twang over the stereo. For big games and parties, there’s an outdoor patio with a stage (complete with spotlights), TVs, and the smell of smoked meats in the air." - Virginia Otazo, Mariana Trabanino

We were in town for a trip and decided to give this place a try since it was conveniently close to our hotel. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the experience. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, so we were seated right away and, to our surprise, received our food quickly as well. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. When we’re back in town, we’ll definitely stop by again!

The staff hosted our camp for special needs children during the summer. Not only was the food top notch but the staff were amazing and kind. Highly recommended.

This was some of the best barbeque we've had (and we just moved from Texas). We were already excited to come back after trying the burnt ends, but when the pulled pork and ribs came out we were in heaven. My toddler loved the little play area they have in the back too. The young lady who was serving us was so sweet and absolutely delightful, as was the owner, who came over and told us about all the cool evening events they have, from open mic nights to karaoke. We were having a great time, but we had to go so we could get my toddler down for a nap, and it started pouring. This was the biggest downpour I've seen since the last hurricane, and to my absolute shock, the owner showed up with an umbrella and helped me get both my babies and my Mom into the car. He just held the umbrella for us while he got completely soaked. I'm still in awe at this Man's kindness. He was beyond gentlemanly and you could just tell that he has a heart of gold. I had already started this review about the food being amazing before we left, but after that man getting soaked to his bones for us, I just don't feel that there enough words to express how wonderful this experience was. This level of kindness is not something you find often in Miami. I cannot wait to come back with my husband for date night. Their evening events sound amazing, and my husband is still talking about those ribs. It doesn't get any better than this amazing little local spot.

Could do better The four pieces of brisket I got for 20something dollars was good macaroni and cheese was out of a box you get a small amount of food for a big price I tryed to call my order in and stayed on hold for then hung up on drove 35 min there and the phone was still off the hook got to the bar and the bartender told me I need to find someone walking around to take my order Togo Nice atmosphere, but things could be so much better

The place was really nice, the food was delicious, and the girls working there were super attentive. The only problem? The drinks. The beer, sodas, and even the water tasted awful — everything comes from a dispenser, nothing bottled. When I got home, I told my brother (he’s the one who recommended the place), and he just said, “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you… the drinks there are always like that.” So I guess it’s just part of the deal. Great food and service, but if you go, stick to the wings and ribs and skip the drinks.

Food was pretty good, but the service sucks. I ordered a basic burger, cooked medium with lettuce, tomatoes and onion. The fries were probably the best part of the order, the burger wasn’t bad but felt too firm to the bite. Veggies seemed fresh but were so big that the burger slid around and got difficult to eat. The biggest compliant is the service. I was sitting at the bar along with 2 other people, and about 20 others among 5 or so tables. It wasn’t busy, didn’t seem like it, but after getting my food and having finished my beer, it took so long for a bartender to check on me that I was already halfway done with my food. Not to mention said bartender had walked near me twice and never looked up to check on whether I was okay or not. Put simply, I wouldn’t come back despite it being so close to my work. I’d rather sit in traffic and miss happy hour at Hole in the Wall than come back here.

Good food and good service specially when Laura is taking care of you. She’s always around always has a good attitude and is happy to take care of you. True rarity.
