Went to Woody's during the festival. They were not very busy, but they were acting as if they were slammed. It was a Sunday, they have a wing special which is a dozen for $10. They have a four dollar up charge if you want all drums or all flats. I got a regular order of 12 wings. When my wings arrived 45 minutes later there were, nine drumsticks and three flats. I'll eat drumsticks, not my particular thing, but usually when ordered are in even numbers are pre-portioned for half and half.
I let the Server know I have no desire for an order of wings that's 85% drumsticks. She literally told me I'm just trying to pay the bills and this is what I got after taking them to the kitchen, and then not wanting to cook a few more flats. For some people that don't discern the chicken parts thinking that all chicken is the same for them. Congratulations. But for those who have a preference like me it is a big deal. I would typically eat all of the flats, and then take the drumsticks and give them to a homeless person Just to not waste food. But I'm not gonna pay for some thing I'm really not going to eat. So this review is for the comments from the server, the lack of customer service in the kitchen and also the excuse that for $10 "this is what you get". No where did I see that stated on the menu. So buyer beware if you go there and happy hour because the apps are half off that means that you could potentially get a sub par item and you better suck it up because you're lucky to be getting it at that price. Pretty stupid if you ask me and I've managed bars and restaurants for 15 years.
This goes pacifically to the management if your staff thought they were in the weeds on that day where I wasn't very busy I suggest you get a better trained kitchen staff or you staff more people, because they have no idea of what in the weeds actually means then.
** if you are on Uber eats DoorDash GrubHub, etc. and that is the reason why your kitchen was drowning then you need to reevaluate your business model. From a consumer perspective, no one's gonna know or care whether your kitchen is in the weed from invisible to go orders. Just saying.
