"Woody’s Tacos’ house margarita is celebrated for tasting like authentic Mexican margaritas, made with fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and a generous pour of tequila. It's available for takeaway in Vancouver." - Eater Staff

I haven’t been to Woody’s since well before the pandemic and being back in Washington, maybe 6 or 7 years. I’m so disappointed, Woody’s used to be a favorite. Service was okay, I waited a few minutes before anyone even knew I was there, which wasn’t a big deal, but then I was greeted and promptly helped, I ordered two carnitas tacos to go, and they had them out in about 5 minutes. Got home and was legit so sad when I saw my carnitas were burnt to a crisp on one, the second they at least mixed it in, I guess? Couldn’t even eat the one, the mixed in one I was able to chew but it was still not the greatest. For how much y’all are charging for a single taco, you’d think it at least be….not served burnt? The salsa’s still good.

I ordered three carnitas taquitos which cost 14.50, and. chicken quesadillas which cost around 11$. My taquitos were so hard and the ends so burnt, I think I chipped a tooth, and they look like tiny spring rolls from the hot case from an ampm in 1987: I haven’t had Woodys Tacos since before the pandemic and I was hoping they had improved. Very disappointed. Won’t be going here again.

Google
Service was quick food was highly disappointing $69 for 3 tacos and a pork quesadilla fish tacos had no flavor quesadilla was not edible it was huge chucks of fat no meat.

After living in Vancouver for six years, I finally decided to try Woody's—after all, if it’s still in business, it must be good, right? We ordered the most expensive tacos I’ve ever bought, only to find they were nearly inedible. The restaurant operates more as a self-service establishment; the waitress simply dropped off the food, and we had to refill our own beverages. I hadn’t read the reviews beforehand, as I tend to get paralysis by analysis, but in hindsight, I wish I had. Unless something changes with the quality of their food, you’ll likely regret dining here.

Google
The only good thing about this restaurant was the grilled zucchini. 1. The chips about chipped my tooth. They were hard and stale. 2. The food way overpriced. 3.The grilled chicken was dry and overcooked and the shredded chicken tasted like boiled chicken 4. Very little meat for the overprice. 5. Refried beans tasted like they were from a can. 6. The Mexican rice was flavorless. Definitely will not recommend. The Travelling Taco King.

Listen, this place is absolute highway robbery. The service was GREAT. And I want to make that clear, the lady was very very nice. BUT I paid $60 for 6 tacos and two drinks. And we left 4 of the six tacos on the table. The food was awful, the chips and salsa should be complimentary. They aren't. The chips were house made but awful. I hate to do this but I don't want anyone else to waste money.

Hybrid: Fast-Food and sit-down restaurant. Prices are also a hybrid between the two. $11 burritos and $4 tacos. The food was okay, hot sauces need to be spicier, the green is the tastiest but very mild, which is unusual. I, like most people, judge a Mexican restaurant on the tastiness, spice, and heat of the salsa they provide and secondly on the meat in the burritos. This place can easily improve on the salsas by actually putting in some heat (hint, use the seeds and oil from the peppers and blend, I can tell you take those out because of the lack of heat and tastiness) It's a clean place, nice people but very boring as to the food. I gave it 5 stars because I'm not a jerk and you can tell they care about the food and the people they serve. If I go again and can find a tasty (not smoky) and spicy salsa, then I'll uphold the 5 stars. If nothing changes, I will bring it down accordingly. Normally, this would have been only a 3 star rating, but I believe with just a couple simple fixes, they will deserve the 5 star rating. I Believe 🙂 We shall see ....

I’ve eaten here in the past and always enjoyed it. It’s been ~18 months or so, but I went last week and had the worst margarita I’ve ever had. It was so sour it was not drinkable. The server said “we don’t have a blender” when I asked for a blended margarita. It seemed like an easy fix, but oh well. That’s okay. The chips were as thick as cardboard and didn’t taste much better. They now longer have any salsa out to add to your food, you have to purchase it separately. The fish toco and enchilada were fine, but that’s all. The sever was nice, but she was so busy cleaning up she didn’t pay much attention at all to the four people in the restaurant. I told the server about the margarita, she just blamed it on the limes. I’ve gone to Woody’s for years, but do not plan to return. This was very disappointing.

Yelp
Very tasty margaritas, I think the fish tacos are the best thing on the menu. They are 100 Clean Fast Friendly Reasonably priced

Yelp
This was a bummer, the food used to be my favorite in town. I probably won't order from here again

Karlee J.

Yelp
My mother and I went to Woody's Tacos, somewhere we used to come a lot. Other than the bill being astronomical, we had good service up front. They make the margaritas in batches, as per usual, this batch must be off, it is so sour, it's nearly unpalatable to me (an experienced margarita drinker) and completely inedible to my mother. When we asked a staff member for some doctoring to sweeten up my mother's margarita, she not only refused, she was dismissive in the rudest way (turns out this was the manager.) Woody should be enraged and embarrassed at his restaurant deteriorating to the point that we will not be returning, ever. It is so sad, we loved coming here for the delicious margaritas and pork belly tacos, that are now a sad excuse for food and drink.

Sara M.

Yelp
I had an incredible experience! The tacos were absolutely delicious, with generous portions of perfectly cooked carnitas packed with flavor. The service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Haven't tried Woody's for a couple of years. Had a huge dinner party tonight. Ordered a number of soft chicken and crispy shredded beef tacos. Also ordered a tostada and black beans. Food was horrible. Meat was bland and tacos were soggy and tostada was so greasy it was draining through the box. Didn't know ownership had changed. Price was ridiculous for quality of food. Food was inedible. The transit time was only ten minutes. When I called the manager she basically said tough. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Yelp
My wife had an upcoming surgery appointment at PeaceHealth up the street, and we didn't have a lot of time, so our lunch options were limited. Thankfully, we spotted this Woody's Tacos location, of which we were previously unaware of its existence, on the way to the hospital. With their downtown location being among my wife's favorite Mexican places, stopping here for a couple quick tacos was a no-brainer. True to form, our two soft tacos, one crispy taco, and one fish taco arrived in front of us in about five minutes after ordering, allowing us to wolf them down and still make our appointment on time! For the price, each is loaded with a significant portion of toppings (the fish taco being the most generous), and when paired with our chosen salsas and their house hot sauce, are one of the cheapest, most delicious and most filling meals you can find anywhere in the city. Fantastically friendly and efficient staff, a cute interior layout, and a nice, welcoming, sunny patio out front, and this Woody's Tacos has nailed the trifecta for fast, casual dining. Very recommended!

Liz T.

Yelp
I went there for the fish tacos and I was throughly impressed! They were soooo yummy! I will definitely be back :)

Yelp
Carne asada burrito. Meh. Bland with not much going on. I don't think there is even any cheese in it?? Server gal was nice, but this overpriced burrito pretty much sucks. Plenty of other quality Mexican eateries to visit!

Steve B.

Yelp
Just visited Woody's. Ordered $7 quesadilla for pickup. Added $4 shredded beef which is like biria. Ok, next fun, upcharge 1.75 for pickup (typical thinner cardboard leftover box), 10% tip for pickup, my choice, then I checked the order. About 2 tablespoons of pico de gallo, tablespoon of sour cream, 3 table spoon of guacamole, but no salsa. Upon inquiry, salsas cost. Got the 4 oz $1 option. Total out the door, 15.50 for a quesadilla with beef and cheese. Not too terrible and the food is good, but $4 in upcharges? Last trip to Woody's. There is a very good taco truck one block South I go to often. I think that will be my destination in the future, the taco truck. Oops the $15 receipt didn't include 1.09 for salsa rang up separately! So $16 total! 14.80+1.09.

Yelp
Finally stopped in here for some tacos! It's been on my list for a while, and since we were next door at Parkrose Hardware, it was a convenient time to check it out. We were greeted upon entering. You order at the counter, are given a number, and then you pick a table to sit at. The inside seemed smaller than I remember when it was Lindo Mexico. They've changed the interior quite a bit... no more booths, and they've added a small bar in the back. I love their cool, vibrant colored table tops! We ordered a pork belly taco from their Specials menu board and a grilled chicken quesadilla. My husband ordered a Dos Equis, and he was given the bottle, no glass or lime offered. We were given complimentary chips and salsa as well. The salsa was yummy and not chunky, which I prefer, but the chips were stale. Too bad. We received our food within 10-15 minutes or so. Everything was delicious. My husband loved his pork belly taco. My grilled chicken quesadilla was perfect. Love the grilled chicken option! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the tortilla had just the right amount of crispness. The sour cream, guacamole, and salsa side portions for the quesadilla were generous. Overall, it was a pleasant first-time experience here! We'll definitely be back! Would recommend.

Donna B.

Yelp
$23.00 for two burritos!!!!! Overpriced and not that great. They are huge but flavorless. You're better off going to Taco Bell or Muchas Gracias. The gal was very nice that took our order though.

Yelp
Let me count all the ways, I don't like this place. I am mad at myself for trying it again after two years, thinking and hoping that they would have improved. I don't want you to get bored of my review so let's just list some bullet points. * Communication is terrible! As you try to explain what you're looking for you are talked over. That means you're not listening to your consumers. You are also not willing to accommodate OR look at me while I am trying to have a conversation with you. *Margaritas are pre made and crap! Crap ingredients, too sour and too much artificial whatever is in it, and caused a headache within the first few sips. GROSS *Food - I didn't even order this time around because last time I had food here, it was mediocre at best. So if you do like their food, I am sorry you haven't had real flavored tacos before. *Again, service is a negative! Rude! Unhelpful, uncaring. Oh and I did watch how staff treated others and its the same, and we shouldn't expect this level of lack of service. I try to be mindful but gosh dang! I would love to teach this staff, management and owners a few things.

Yelp
This is painful as I've had one great, fantastic experience, but this is my second HORRIBLE experience at this locally owned hole in the wall, that also uses locally sourced ingredients (my favorite kind of place!) Before I begin, let me tell you that my personal goals in life are to be joyful, happy and kind. I firmly believe in the three rules of communication: Is it TRUE, is it NECESSARY, is it KIND? While my complaints weren't untrue, unnecessary or unkind, I did speak tersely and had steam rolling out of my ears and it was painfully obvious I was VERY upset. At 12:20 PM, I ordered two shrimp soft tacos, expecting three ingredients (four if you count tortilla): SHRIMP, ONIONS and CILANTRO, as the on-line and in restaurant menus clearly list. At 12:35, my order was delivered along with the meals of the folks I was dining with. Immediately I noticed a milky white substance and cabbage dominating the plate. Because of severe allergies, had I consumed the watery, milky liquid (turns out it was lime crema), I'd be in the ER right now with anaphylaxis. At 12:37, I went to the counter where an unfriendly, unapologetic staff member told me repeatedly that is how the soft tacos are served. I pointed out the menu and what it lists and asked for my order to be prepared properly. She didn't say one word to me, just glared at me, obviously irritated. At 12:50, I STILL hadn't received my meal. My co-diners had finished and were ready to go. I went to where the other staff member was standing- at the pick-up window- and asked what the problem was and why such a delay? She asked "Oh, are you the lady who returned the tacos" just as the cook is handing her my plate which was EXACTLY the same as the first go-around. I admit I was angry. I must've repeated a dozen times that I wanted SHRIMP, CILANTRO AND ONIONS only! She asked the cook to try again, but I was not happy or satisfied at this encounter and stated I'd skip the meal and would like my money back. She refused, offering to make it to go. I said "NO", I want a refund. She then asked the cook to prepare them immediately. Now, while I was indeed angry, clearly PO'd, her attitude and demeanor were completely inappropriate and quite snarky. I sat down, and at 1:07, I was served what you see in the attached picture: shrimp and onions. I huffed and sighed and asked her to please get the cilantro. She complied without a VERBAL exchange, but her face and body language spoke volumes. I thanked her and apologized for being bi**hy. She didn't really seem to care, but did mutter that they were understaffed and had new employees. This sentence was the final coffin nail. Business owners: if your staff and establishment can't operate at 110%, then lock the doors. This excuse drives me up the wall! If you're only able to provide HORRIBLE service and food, you have no business being opened. My final contribution to this review is about the quality, or lack of, the tacos were. The shrimp was cold, smelly and super rubbery. I choked one down as I was starving after waiting a total of 47 minutes. I'm sure if the business owner reads this, the rebuttal might be that I was rude, loud and inappropriate. That's fine, as I already admitted I wasn't Suzy Sunshine. However, teach your staff to respond kindly and apologize sincerely when they have obviously messed up! Mistakes happen and are forgivable; their attitudes and response are not. There will not be a fourth experience for this reviewer at Woodys Tacos.

Yelp
My friend and I came to the Woody's here on Mill plain by planet fitness. I hadn't made it to the one in downtown Vancouver before it closed down. I have been coming to this location for several years now I'm sorry to say it was a disappointment. I got the shredded chicken tostada. It was piled high with shredded romaine, lettuce, and a little Cotija cheese. No tomato or onions. The beans were so thick on the top and bottom of the tortilla that it was stuck to the plate in wasn't crispy at all. The avocado salsa was pretty sparse. All in all just not a Great tostada. My friend got a cheese and chicken Asada quesadilla. It was pretty good. Large tortilla fold in half with a good amount of chicken and cheese on the inside. Came with guacamole that was fresh, sour cream in a tiny bit of pico de gallo. It was OK and the best out of the two things we got We ordered margaritas. Yes, I have to hand it to the bartender, a good amount of tequila in there. However, the sweet and sour, and whatever else was in there, was so bitter! It was supposed to be passion fruit, but I did not taste that at all. Just pick her up! That definitely gets a two star. The service was OK. The same person that took your order served us and made the drinks. It was getting pretty busy and she was moving fast. The service was an attentive because of that. We had to get up and ask for utensils and napkins. Someone said that the original owner of Woody's has sold it to someone else. If that's the case, you can certainly tell that he did not follow the same recipes? I won't probably go back to Woody's. There's so many other great places these days. Very sad to leave this review.

Paul S.

Yelp
No ground beef anything. Not even a basic taco or burrito. Sad to think you can't simmer up some taco meat for cheap tasty meal.

Adrian C.

Yelp
The OLD Woody's Tacos was great. The new owners are losing it, my recent trip for lunch was painful. One lady at the register and no one busing tables or running out food orders just her! While we're waiting for our food the General Manager or new owner comes in, counts the cash deposit and helps take one order while the front lady, buses three dirty tables and delivers and packages to go orders. Then the GM grabs a soda and makes himself a bowl of chips and salsa and goes to the bar to eat. Again, leaving the one front lady to handle it all. Oh it was a busy lunch hour and the AC wasn't working so add that to the 45 minute wait for my delicious lunch. The food is good, but the management is not caring of the employees and the customers. I don't know if I'll support this local place again.

Malika U.

Yelp
My fiancé was looking for a place with fish tacos so we decided to finally stop in and try their food! We've heard such great things about this place. It's a colorful, cute, small restaurant. There is a little bar in the back left corner. The server we had was amazing. Super nice and so friendly! We ordered 2 fish tacos, chicken quesadilla, shredded steak burrito and chips and salsa. Everything was really good! Love the green salsa! The burrito and quesadilla were cooked perfectly, and the meat was juicy and tender. The fish tacos were good but seemed to have a lot of batter. Will definitely be back again to try other items!

Brian L.

Yelp
First, let me say that whoever this woman is who handles literally everything is amazing. Besides the cook, she is the only person there taking orders, serving the food, making drinks, clearing tables, and all with a smile on her face and thanking every single person as they get up after their meal. She is remarkable. With that, what the hell, Woody's? Why are you putting all of this on her? Fish tacos are always consistently good and once I understood the House Lime Margarita, I could enjoy it for what it is instead of complaining that it's soooo sour. Great food and the best service ever considering that Woody's doesn't seem to want to hire another person to help out. Minus 2 stars for letting this incredible person handle literally everything in your restaurant at 6:00 pm in the evening.

Ryan P.

Yelp
The crispy carnitas tacos here are LEGIT. I had some at a business meeting on Friday, then brought my whole family back on Saturday to try them! (I highly recommend layering on some of the spicy salsa.) The wait staff is friendly, the place was super clean, and the wait time for the food was short. 10/10 will eat here again. (In my haste to greedily devour my tacos as quickly as possible, I forgot to take a picture of the food. Whoops!)

Jason B.

Yelp
Very high-quality Mexican food with great service! I wonder how many Mexican restaurants celebrate Mexicos Independence Day? This has to be my favorite Mexican restaurant! Come on, give it a try and see if you don't agree!

Victoria W.

Yelp
Oh Woody's, what happened to you? We used to LOVE your tacos and would come here every Friday night. We always ordered shrimp soft tacos, but we especially loved the shredded beef crunchy tacos. We came here last Friday night and through we were at Taco Bell. The crunchy tacos used to be huge and filled with meat, but it was half the size they used to be, and looked just like a Taco Bell crunchy taco. The taste was still great, but the prices did go up (which I understand why) but the food shrank by half it's original size. I used to eat one taco and be totally full, but now I can eat two without any problem. If you're going to raise the price, at least keep the original size. It's sad that we won't be coming here as often.

Mac M.

Yelp
This place is always good. I've never had the Pacos Tacos before, but I was not disappointed. The fire-roasted sauce was spicy, but still so flavorful!

Italia L.

Yelp
Beware! They add ingredients that are not listed on the menu. Service is rude and deplorable. Food is good but served lukewarm. DO NOT TIP UNTIL AFTER YOU FINISH. You will regret it, if you do so when paying. 9/26/2024

Michelle R.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Go here! My mom and I randomly saw the sign and just stopped in. The service was fast and friendly but the tacos were spectacular! The shrimp taco was perfectly seasoned with a ton of shrimp and fresh Pico and crema slaw with the perfect amount of heat. We got a seat by the window in the small but lively dining area, and smiled.

Ivan Z.

Yelp
$16 bucks for a burrito!?! Trippin. I got the Asada and Chorizo burrito with rice, beans, a salsa, and extra for sour cream. See images for size. Super small for the price. Flavorless. Completely. The chorizo couldn't even save it. They forgot to add in the salsa and sour cream, and the burrito unwrapped in 3 bites! Wasn't even wrapped tight. Pro tip, wrap your burritos in foil. It'll maintain integrity, as you peel down the foil. Also they added potato to my burrito. I didn't even ask for it, and I didn't care for it. So anyway, after my burrito magically unwrapped, the waitress saw it and made a comment. I didn't hear, but she was kind enough the get me a another tortilla. The staff was nice! But this 1 star is for the food, not the service. Save your money! Got to Taco Bell! Serious disappointment. I

Mimi J.

Yelp
I think this place is under new management. I had the fish tacos which tasted the same as usual. But the chips which used to be light and flavorful are now thick and crunchy. My friend had a crunchy beef taco that hardly had any beef in it, lacked flavor, and the tortilla was overcooked. When she talked to the manager, the manager was rude and discounted her feedback.

Heath A.

Yelp
A popular Mexican restaurant. It's well priced and the service is good. They serve alcohol, beer, and wine. The menu is the usual fare for a Mexican spot. My only suggestion for them is to decide who they are. They seem trapped between wanting to be more like a fast food place as you must order at the counter, no wait-staff. My suggestion is to offer takeout at the counter but allow guests to sit and be served by a waiter or waitress. This would allow for shorter lines and provide the guest with the ability to choose which service type they want. Also, it will increase their revenue in drinks and apps as most people don't want to stand in line over and over again to buy more drinks and apps. Just a suggestion. But if you try it, when it works, please add a drink on the menu named for me. Chardonnay infussed with jalapeño. Call it the "Healthyby Heath Chardonay" Great signage, good atmosphere, and positive/happy vibes. I recommend it if your looking for Mexican food and drinks served quickly at a decent price and you don't need to be served, willing to get up from your table to order more or if you need more salsa, etc. Unfortunately, their salsas are very mild. I asked for the spicier salsa they had after trying the others, and it was a smoked variety, no other option such as a non-smoked salsa if you want any heat. Tip: combine the tastier green salsa with the spicy smoked salsa to taste. Pictures by HealthybyHeath & Heath Anderson, copyrighted. Yelp
The quality of the service and the food has really deteriorated since the new owners took over the restaurant. Woody's fish tacos were the best we have ever eaten anywhere, but not anymore. Woody always used rock fish which was batter dipped it and then fried it to order. It was so light and crispy. The fish tacos were delicious! The rock fish pieces were small enough that you could fold your taco and eat them with your hands. Not anymore. The battered fish they now use appears to be prepackaged frozen batter dipped fish which is far too large for the soft taco shell. We had to eat our fish tacos with a fork when we had them earlier this week for lunch. Their service there is provided by just one woman behind the counter who take the orders, delivers the orders, cleans the tables, handles the to go orders, and takes the payment. She was running around all over the place trying to do it all. It was the peak lunch hour when we were there and she really needed some help. After our experience there this week, we decided we won't be going back again. It's time to find better fish tacos elsewhere.

The P.

Yelp
Great food and service. Fish tacos and quesadillas are the best. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

Morpheous J.

Yelp
Always seen Woody's when I drive by but never had the time to stop but today I stopped by. The food and the staff are outstanding! Kinda mad at myself for not stopping in sooner. If you are wanting great tacos and friendly environment and awesome staff, then look no further than Woody's. Highly recommended!

Lily Z.

Yelp
If you're craving tacos in Vancouver, @woodys_tacos got some good ones, especially their pork belly tacos! 2 tacos and a bowl of grilled zuchinni filled me up! The tacos are loaded w juicy pork belly and plenty of cheese!!

cori ..

Yelp
2 stars because its weird. Not because of food. I absolutely love the pork belly burrito. Its perfection. The margaritas are poured from a pitcher and they don't have much table services. You walk in and order even for the drinks IN THE BAR.????? The staff heavy hits for the flavored margaritas (hibiscus etc) then you go sit down and they give you the margaritas and never come back. I have to flag them down regarding salsa. No tip

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Worst food ever, super over priced rice was old and crunchy! No flavor what soever! Wouldn't even leave a star if I had too

Martin F.

Yelp
Very tasty and huge burritos. The flavors are perfect. Be warned, some will drip (shredded beef). I like the house mild roasted salsa, the chips are fine however nothing special. Perhaps knock off a bit of salt unless you're a fan of extra salty. There is nothing fancy about the place all the money is for the food and that's ok with me. Several tables outside, a regular menu and there was a special menu today. I would have liked to try the sweet corn if I had more room to eat. (I couldn't quite finish the burrito). I don't think they charged extra for the guacamole or sour cream, nice for the wife who went for the grilled chicken burrito. Staff was attentive and friendly, service was quick, place seemed to be pretty clean. Certainly worth another visit.

Lyn K.

Yelp
Friend's recommended this place a few weeks ago. That had a great lunch and not easily impressed! So we decided to try it. The guy at the counter was great!! We sat down and our friend sat down and leaned back in his chair and he flipped right over. The chairs are flimsy and tip over easily. Our lunch was excellent, A few day later we caught up with a few friends and had a good lunch again. Micky, however seems to have an attitude when we ordered. We decided to join friends again for dinner and Micky again was there with an attitude. Our friends ordered and they got there food right away. We waited for our meal to come out. Another guy came in after us and ordered and his food was delivered before ours. (4 tables had people) looked liked he had enchiladas as well. Finally, our meal came out as our friends where half way done with their meal. They mentioned their food was barely warm. Our enchiladas were barely warm as well along with the rice and beans. On our way out we mentioned it to Micky and she just said, oh sorry. After thinking we may have found a New Mexican place to go to. We all decided tonight was our last.

Luke M.

Yelp
First time trying this place, it looked and sounded really good. I went there ordered the fish tacos. I get home I open it up, you get your rice and beans and the two fish tacos. Except the fish tacos were just like you would buy from the grocery store frozen battered fish. Rice was dry, and beans were good though. Staff was super friendly too.

M W.

Yelp
We USED TO LOVE this place but since the new ownership everything has gone downhill. The quality AND quantity of food had deteriorated while the prices went up. They got rid of a favorite menu item the Pocos Tacos by just putting a piece of paper over the item but no explanation as to why it was removed. Ordered a crunchy taco instead, since this used to be HUGE and a meal in itself, but got it home and it was tiny and not enough for a snack, let alone a dinner. We used to go here every Saturday night, never again! SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT! They also got rid of a great employee who tended bar. We will definitely not be recommending this place again, and we had told everyone about it before. I sure some changes for the better are made or they will not last.

Raya F.

Yelp
I want to like it so badly. A few years ago their fish tacos were pretty good. We tried again tonight and I can't even finish it. The fish is bland and mushy. I feel bad leaving a negative review for a small business but I'm sad I can't count on this place to be decent. I'd go elsewhere.

Yelp
Great tasting fresh cooked tacos. Fish tacos were large sized. Crunchy carne asada taco was delicious!!

Yelp
If I could rate 0 I would place needs help prices are outrageous for the amount ! Go check it out your self if you like to pay 1.00 for a squirt of sour cream and have zero taste buds I do not recommend this place at all!!!

Yelp
We arrived around 6:40pm on a weekday. It wasn't too busy. We ordered the horchata, fish & shrimp taco and the grilled corn, zucchini and poblano quesadilla. I was worried since the rating for Woody's is so low but it was all pretty good! The fish was crispy. Both tacos were XL size. The quesadilla was flavorful. I would come back again

Yelp
I had the chicken enchiladas and they were perfectly fine. The sauce was great, the chicken inside was abit under flavored. I don't think woodys will blow anyone away but it's a perfectly fine local spot in a city that lacks authentic Mexican food. Pricing is a bit steep for what you get. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Basic. Boring. Not well seasoned. Why is this place so popular? It must be the meat options. It's not the vegetarian menu.

Yelp
There should be a "didn't go, because of" choice, we've been to Woody's both downtown and at the eastside location, and the food was pretty good, much better than most around this end of town, so we decided to try some takeout. Their website is down, and a call to the store to see if they knew where I could see an up-to-date menu was not helpful, the guy I spoke to was busy but friendly, he just didn't know. We'll try again, or next time we go by, pick up a menu if they've got them to go.

Yelp
We are at the downtown location last night. We ordered the combo platter and shrimp pasta.. we asked them to hold the chorizo as neither of us eat pork. The steak on the platter was so tough we could barely cut it with a knife. I thought the 3 pieces of shrimp was the best part and I liked the added grilled octopus. The chicken was average with not much seasoning but juicy. We told the waitress that the steak was tough and inedible and she apologized. She said it was supposed to be tender and "so sorry".... the pasta was nice, a bit bland for my taste but creamy (it was supposed to be a jalapeño sauce.) I gave it 2 stars for the tough steak and the fact that we weren't offered any redo or compensation for the poor quality of it.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients, and delicious. Friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy lunch or dinner! Happy we found this place so close to work.

Yelp
Went there for a lunch with my wife. She ordered quesadillas with chicken. They came, were hot and tasty enough. I'd gone many times to their downtown location and was happy. This was at their Mill Plain location. I waited for my vegan option which was supposed to be mixed zucchini and onion with side of rice and beans. It took a long time to get mine but it was stone cold. I asked that it be heated up. That took so long we had to stop our lunch, pack up the take out and leave. The bill was an incredible $33.44. Turns out I was charged $10 for the tiny amount of chopped zucchini and $13 for the tiny scoops of rice and beans. Later I called them to get the itemization and expressed my shock. Eventually the owner got on the phone. She claimed the amounts were larger and the prices fair and simply didn't believe me when I said the platter came cold. Oddly she said she'd made a cell phone photo of the steam coming off the refried beans--but that couldn't have happened until they were reheated in the microwave. Anyway, I didn't get any satisfaction at all. She hung up on me. I won't darken their door again.

Yelp
We just ate here. It's 98 degrees outside and the restaurant apparently has no air conditioning. It was a miserable experience. Never again.

Yelp
Same great Woody's and with more room to enjoy fabulous fish tacos, best in show margaritas, carne asada burritos and best ever quesadillas. The traffic flow is a bit funky, but it's Woody's--it has to be a little quirky. Our service was fine--it's a pay at the counter, bus your own table affair, and we rocked it! Our order came out quickly on a busy Friday night and the counter ordering was friendly, efficient and organized. The fish tacos remain the best in the metro area, and the margarita recipe from the original location followed gloriously to this new--dare I say--clean location. I especially liked the colorful, painted tables. I hope we get the sunflower table next time. The art is bright and welcoming. The owners and crew put thought and care into their work and it shows. Maybe the warm weather will bring outdoor seating. I'm a fan and will reclaim my Duchess status with time and well-planned trips to the Couv.
