the cocktails were incredible here! our bartender was incredibly friendly (I forgot his name but he’s been bartending for 7 years) and the drinks were unbelievable. I recommend trying pillow talk or anything with egg whites. A very chill place to hang out, catch up if the weathers nice!

Beautiful space with about every spirit you can think of! The bartenders really know their stuff too. I asked them to come up with something and they made me an excellent lemon lavender martini.

I really liked the chill, relaxed and welcoming vibe here. The outdoor area was nicely decorated for the holidays with lights and a Christmas tree. There were a couple of fireplaces outside as well, which were perfect since it was a fairly chilly night during my visit. Inside were regular tables, sofas, and bar stools. Three bartenders were at the bar, so we got immediate attention when we sat there. I had the "Not a long Island" cocktail which was strong, tropical and refreshing. Everyone, guests and staff alike, seemed to be having a good time. A great first impression!

Good place for beers, cocktails and spending time with loved ones. They have fire pits in winter so you can sit outdoors. Good place to go on a date.

Dope vibe , laid back with a lot of great energy flow. Chilly houston night offset by heaters placed freely to keep warmth plentiful. Appetizers are actually really Hood and they have a huge selection of drink ideas.

Loved the place - even on a Wd night there was a small crowd. Cool patio with swing chairs - perfect area to have a drink with a dog. Great cocktails too!

Fantastic drinks and snacks. There are cocktails available for everyone on the menu. New seasonal cocktails are available every season, so the menu is fresh and fun. 1/2 price drinks during happy hour is a steal

Visited this bar on a late Thursday night to have a quick catch up with a friend. Worcester's Annex is directly next to Heights Biergarten. They basically share the same outdoor seating. There is valet parking and limited self parking on Shepherd. Could have walked from my apartment but it was too hot! Their kitchen was closed when we arrived around past 11pm which means I'll have to return to sample their food. I ordered a tropical cocktail to feel refreshed with Houston heat. I got the Hailey's Comet cocktail and it was sp delicious! The vibe was relaxed although it was still quite busy that time! Price wise, I would say is at par with all other establishments. Will definitely come back!

Great skilled bartenders whipping up a large variety of cocktails. The cocktail list is honestly so impressive I don't think I've had the same drink twice because you always want to try something new! Great happy hour deals on most of their cocktails and I even spotted an herb garden across the street on the backside of the building where I'm assuming they get their herbs from for the cocktails. Highly recommend a stop in.

Worcester's Annex- first time here, visited with a friend. The place is very spacious. I entered through the back and my friend entered through the front. Eventually we both realized that the beer garden is Heights Bier Garten, yep it's like two in one! We started at the annex though. Again, upon entering we noticed a reasonable sized crowd but it wasn't packed. Several people there appeared to be fresh out of the office. We were there during happy hour which I believe is Monday thru Friday from 4-6pm. Perfect timing for us. So anyway, we explored the menu and were at the bar ordering within the next few minutes. Bartender did his job, wasn't the friendliest but the drinks were good so that's cool I guess. We ordered food- sweet potato tots and the veggie flatbread. Neither of us knew what to expect when the pizza arrived, but to our surprise it was delicious! We went over to the beer bar and ended with ciders, very tasty and refreshing. Overall, the place was chill. The drinks were yummy and so was the food. Oh and the parking is very...different, can be quite challenging. My friend said the restrooms needed attention.

Stopped in for a midday drink and was surprised on how nice this place was. My drink was amazing + refreshing and the bartender was helpful soo welcoming!

These are true magicians of spirits of grape and grain. A semi-cool afternoon and I just wanted a holiday whiskey drink. My wife wanted a refreshing drink herself. These guys delivered better than FedEx. My wife didn't like her initial drink so they took it back and made her a custom cocktail with her favorite spirit. She had 2 more and I had to drive home, of course. The firepits added to a perfect Autumn Saturday afternoon.

The cocktails and the vibe here is spot on! Indoor/outdoor seating options take WA up even further in the ranks for me! I freaking love their cocktails. The bartenders are friendly and know how to make great drinks! (Joel is my fave!) I love that they have great food options as well. I'll be a frequenter, for sure!

Annex and chill. Bartenders have always been great here. Date night ambience. Indoor outdoor patio. Trendy location. I guess the only downside to this place is parking and would advise to take rideshare, especially on popular nights. It feels like the place is much bigger than the available amount of parking.

Got a drink and chilled. The menu is fancy and super stacked so I couldn't decide what I wanted. So I asked the bar tender for a suggestion . He asked me what I was into, I replied, vodka or tequila and I want it to be cute. He then said, "are you talking about a drink or a date, ha ha ha! He and some dweeb next to me shared a laugh as I stood there refusing to force it. This is what he gave me.

Definitely a family friendly local gem during the earlier hours of the day! Booze & kitchen to one side and crafty cocktails on the other. I love the open concept and adult size friendly swings at the tables located in between the 2 establishments, but hate the only food options have to go over to the booze side My only real complaint is I requested an ingredient to be left out of one of the drinks I was requesting and the bartender was very "passionate" it wouldn't taste right... (although, I order this beverage a few places around town) & adamantly disapproving my choice the entire time he crafted the cocktail... even after guarantee I would drink it either way...*inserts eye roll*

Came here on a Saturday night around 10:30 and got a gin and tonic, which tasted great. Simple, smooth, and high-quality. This is a great place for both small and mid-sized groups. We had about 8 people. The bar is beautiful, as are the glass windows. And for people who don't like cocktails, you can go right out the door to Heights Bier Garten! There is a lovely shared, covered outdoor space as well. Would love to come back and try some more complex cocktails!

Great place to hangout, pretty chill.. Good food, strong drinks, great service.. Although the signage of the business can be confusing.. It's attached (hence annex) to a bigger business (I forgot what it is, I wasn't prepared to make this review.. Yelp forced me )

If you're looking to mingle or just get comfortable, this is your spot. Tons of people but not crowded. Parking can be difficult. House cocktails are great. Bartenders are attentive and helpful. A few fire pits outside with heated lamps if you're thinking of visiting this winter

Stopped in for drinks at the end of happy hour. We LOVED their whiskey cocktail selection. We will definitely be back again for more cocktails. The atmosphere also shares common outdoor seating with the heights bier garden which we found helpful if you have someone who doesn't drink liquor. We had a great experience with the bartenders, social distancing, and the abundance of outdoor seating.

1st timer. Cool vibe, beautiful night. I was taken aback by the 2nd bartender when placing my order, he did not even let me place my order 1st instead ask for my method of payment - off putting. Well I ordered a cheese burger and sweet potato tots. The same male bartender really did not spark my taste of whiskey drinks, considering there is a plethoric of liquor available for creative drinks to be served. I tried the the Out of Season it was good. Food was good, drink was okay, ambiance was lovely.

Love this place!!!! The outdoor area is perfect even on a hot day because they have numerous fans that mist water on you. (Okay, maybe you do not love it if you just curled your hair, like my friend had but whatever) They have these amazing swings you can just sit and relax in, outdoor games and even on those 2 cold days in Houston, a fire pit! It is dog friendly and every time I have been there is always a handful of dogs tucked off in a corner. Best part about this place is not the outside though, it is the drinks. They have such an extensive drink menu that is broken up by flavor profile, which I LOVE! That way if you know you are looking for a spirit forward drink, or refreshing drink, or spicy drink it really helps you narrow down your choices. Which is great for those indecisive people that you know. Besides the great drinks, I have to say that the food is also delicious. We had the sausage platter which was delicious. There was about 8 different sausages on the platter with a few dipping sauces. We also got the pretzel, which was a great compliment to the sausage platter. But wait there is more, if you can believe it. The other great thing about this place is that it is connected to the Heights Bier Garden, which is on the other side of the outdoor patio. This way the MEN can get their manly beer drinks and the women can get their delicious mixed cocktails. It is a win for everyone people!

Love the ambience and the variety of cocktails! They have a huge selection of cocktails classified by taste (sweet, spicy, fresh, spirit forward etc.) that's I find really useful given I like to approach cocktails mood first, specifics later.

Cute outdoor area. There are fans to cool you off on a hot day. Service was quick and professional.

HAPPY HOUR MONDAY - FRIDAY (3PM-6PM) Worcester Annex is the cocktail side of Heights Bier Garten. I think it's cool how they separate the cocktail from the beer side because it does make for easier ordering. I believe Annex's happy hour actually starts at 4PM but you can order happy hour beer at 3PM I am a huge fan of Wooster in Midtown and Height Bier Garten is their sister bar so I had to give it a try. I prefer the indoor seating at Wooster more but the outdoor area at Height Bier Garten is a lot more inviting. I also noticed that Annex doesn't garnish their drinks as much as Wooster. It's not a big deal but does make it more appealing to drink. I will say that their SPIRIT FORWARD selection is nicer because they better mask how boozy their drinks are. Wooster's spirit forward selection can be intense but what do you expect from a strong drink. (5/5): BEET HUMMUS CROSTINIS: I was so surprised by this appetizer. It was so delicious! The color was so vibrant and the presentation was eye-catching. The grilled cucumber and leeks added this smokiness and depth to the dish. It was a great balance of sweet, savory, and crunchy. I would get this again!

Pronounced WOOSTERS :) The better: Great giant (dog friendly!) patio shared with the Bier Garten. Nice idea to divide and conquer the beer vs liquor lines. Fancy cocktails take way to long to make (typical), so when it's busy, I stick to wine or something with 3 ingredients or less. Yummy pretzel, good charcuterie board, fries, burgers. Maybe a revolving food truck outside, but it was a taco one while we were there. The lesser: parking is limited as it typical for the area. Those fancy cocktails get expensive.

LOVED this cocktail bar!! Fun atmosphere and great bartenders. Can't wait to go back. Only four stars instead of 5 because they charged me for an extra drink but was fine paying for it since the drinks were so good!

Not sure why there aren't many reviews, but I do need to say how wonderful my experience was. From the exquisite service from our bartender Ethan to the delicious drinks that he customized! If you just let him know what type of drinks you like and what kind of liquor you prefer, he will whip something up and you will be sure to enjoy it! The pork cracklings were very flavorful also! It came with this spicy buttermilk sauce that paired so well with the saltiness from the cracklings. Aside from the flavors from the food and drinks, the ambience was fantastic for a girl's night or even date. A great area with plenty of parking, same place as the heights Bier garten. The worcester's annex however was the highlight of my night. That section had a photo booth and so many cute chairs that swang or didn't swing. Perfect place when the weather is as great as it was. The weather was 75 degrees. It was Monday with 4 different types of drinks, perfect way to start your healthy week!

Locate a swing Now!!!! Came to Worcheater's Annex/ Heights bier hall to catch up with friends on a Saturday evening. The space which is shaped like a courtyard anchored by both a bier hall and spirits hall is a great place to grab the band back together. We particularly liked the swings and overall space. Parking is tough so uBEr/Lyft/bike/carpool to get their or use their intense valet service. I will definitely slide through again!

Adam and Ethan are amazing. We tried the Smoke and Sunset. I'm not the biggest fan of mezcal but this drink is dangerously fantastic. They have stairs behind the bar to access to higher liquor, and to me, it's like being in a library with sexy bartenders to access your needs in life. Love the ambiance here, the craft drinks, & the bartenders. Definitely coming back.

Very nice atmosphere and the drinks were also really good. Very spacious for larger parties. Family friendly and pet friendly. Great bar service. I visited during the day so it was pretty warm outside but they gave several large fans spraying mist to keep the outdoor area nice and cool. They have 2 large bar areas that have AC. One bar is entirely for cocktails and the other bar is for beer. They have a huge selection of both cocktails and beer options. Definitely coming back soon.

No one wearing a mask. People sitting at tables that have signs banning them from sitting there. Staff removing the signs after people sit down. No one practicing social distancing. Listening to people coughing. Several intoxicated people.

Heights Bier Garten is such a fun place--a giant yard with picnic tables, hammocks and two bars (Worcester's Annex and Heights Bier Garten)--one for cocktails and one for beer and wine. It's a great setup and the perfect spot for a group get-together. And the food was great too. We tried brunch and really liked the fried chicken croissant sandwich (with granny smith apples!) and the big soft pretzel--very good, especially for bar food. But the service was pretty sub-par. We went shortly after they opened, so they really weren't busy. But when the server dropped off the food, he walked away without giving us silverware, and he also dropped part of our food on the picnic table and then walked off as if he expected us to eat the food directly off the table. No silverware and leaving food on the table is pretty barbaric, if you ask me.

I only had drinks. Beer section and wine section and they do make mixed drinks. The atmosphere is amazing. I did not have any food.

This place has delicious drinks and a rather extensive menu that can be hard to navigate and hard to differentiate. We picked our own drinks the first go around and then each other's drinks the second go around. They were all delicious and thoughtfully made.

Wow! I have arrived. The absolute most inhospitable Bar staff in the history of the world...and this is coming from a serious bar attendee. The bar staff most definitely doesn't rely on tips. Points for nice digs but Holy bad attitude Batman! Dick's Bar without the intentional abuse. Here they really mean it.

I went here for a holiday party...finally. I've been wanting to come here for months. I wish I had known that the parking lot was so teeny tiny. I had to walk a few blocks or I could have paid $7 for valet. Anyways, I went to the cocktail side and ordered a hot toddy and a pretzel. I got really excited about it, then after the bartender took my order so came back and said they were out of the 'mix'. After that, she gave me nothing but attitude. She couldn't make any suggestions on what to get instead and asked if I still wanted the pretzel. I ended up with a drink and it was good. The pretzel was great and like a brioche pretzel. However the feeling I had ordering made me feel really terrible about being there. I felt like the bartender wanted me to be anywhere else and that she wanted the same. I won't come back unless someone else choses it.

The annex was definitely my favorite part of the Heights Bier Garten and is what really blew me away with their wall of every major type of whiskey distilled and their delicious cocktails. Yes, your tab can get pricy fast, but it's well worth it. The interior space remains well-ventilated despite the access to the central patio so you can comfortably hang out on the vintage tables to escape the summer sun.

This place is kind of like a beer garden with two buildings with bars on each side. They have many craft cocktails so something for everybody. Cute hammocks, swinging chairs and corn hold for relaxation and entertainment.

They had me at craft cocktails. I'm on a new kick where I love all drinks with a spicy kick... and this place has 'em. Along with an attractive crowd, extensive menu, swings, hammocks, and plenty of servers. We came for a birthday party and vowed to come back--often. You can't go wrong with this new addition to The Heights. I encourage you to check out Worcester's Annex.

This place has a great chill vibe with lots of outdoor seating , comfy swing chairs and cool decor. The crowd was in their 30s-40s age range with lots of dogs and a few kids. Cocktails were tasty and super creative; they leaned heavily on savory and smoky flavors so nothing was too sweet. Whoever made the cocktail menu seems like a big fan of absinthe so if you don't like licorice keep your eye out. I'll definitely be returning!

Went for my Birthday with my children and we had a good time. Love the outdoors and the idea you can bring your pet , blowed my mind! The weather was perfect. I really like this place a lot. I did not get food next time I will. Drinks were good, the atmosphere , was so good ! I recommend it.

I've spent a few weeks total in Houston over the last couple of months. I was so happy to find this place. After many restaurants, I felt that Houston was lacking in the cocktail department. Everything was always way too sweet. Not the case here. I couldn't find a menu listed online so that I could mention the names of the drinks I had! Apparently we were also here during happy hour. I didn't even bother to ask what their happy hour was! But it must be good, because I was shocked when my husband told me what our final bill was. I will be returning on a future trip!

I love this place. I love that its outdoors and pet friendly. The Drinks are good with great selections. The set up is very cute with the hammocks and chairs. I am definitely bringing all my friends here.

Great drinks and atmosphere. The bourbon selection is wonderful, but the prices are the highest around--pretty exorbitant.

We went last weekend which was the first weekend it opened and it was GREAT! When you walk in there is a wonderful, large patio with plenty of seating and Worcester's Annex is to your left. The bartenders were very quick despite the crowd and the drinks did not disappoint. I highly recommend a Tito's and watermelon juice to anyone that has never had one. Those that are more into beer, can wander over to the right side of the patio where Heights Bier Garten is located. They have a pretty substantial selection of beer so you get the best of both worlds. The kitchen wasn't open yet, but I got to take a look at the menu and I am excited to try the food when they open. Oh, and did I mention that they are dog friendly? I can definitely see this becoming our new go-to.

Great prices I love the food menu and the neighboring Bier garten! This is a great new place if you love the Heights area. Selection is so so for starters, but the location and the service is great so far. They do have a tendency to make drinks a little stronger, but I'm sure they will get better with time.

drinks were perfectly made. you have tho try the roasted cauliflower and the roasted broccolini ! both were mouth watering

This place is like a Heights version of Woosters Garden on Milam Street in midtown. Inside is fair but kind of small, and the outside patio is huge and combined with Bier Garten patio. Decor is nice and hipster. Drink cocktail selection is smaller than Woosters but comparable.
