"Fancy food court Workshop will shut the doors by late spring. Restaurateur Michael Shemtov tells Eater Carolinas that this closure is “more sweet than bitter.” He says that he is proud that Workshop was able to serve as an incubator for such a diverse group of budding concepts, but he says it was also a challenging business model with the constant rotation of new almost-restaurants coming in at different times." - Erin Perkins

The variety of food this location has to offer would easily become your new go to for lunch/dinner. From Jordanian, Asian, American, etc. You can find just about anything here to satisfy your taste buds! If you're looking to grab a few drinks after work on a warm day; this is an ideal place as well. The only reason I choose to give this location 4 stars is due to COVID; this location was a breathing ground for anti-maskers, college students and wondering children. Other than that, this place is highly recommended for your next dinner plans for take out.

I love the concept of a food hall and this one didn't disappoint. We tried two different places: Rebel Taqueria and Chuck & Patty's. Both were amazing. There were two other places inside that we didn't get to try. The interior is well designed. Each place gives you a pager so it's easy to know when you're food is ready. It's clean and there were enough places to sit on a Friday night. There's also a brewery and a full service restaurant outside of the food hall. There was a courtyard with live music when we were there. We had no issues finding parking. From what I've read, it sounds like the vendors rotate which is a really cool concept if you live nearby. If you like food halls, don't miss this while you're in Charleston.

Had the ahi tuna poke bowl from Beech test kitchen and a pork shoulder bowl from pink bellies. Both were great. Highly recommend this place if you want to avoid the chaos of most of king street. Bonus to workshop for being mindful of compost, recycling, and conservation.

Great place to go if you have a big group and need a lot of delicious options. It constantly changes so you can keep coming back and try new tasty restaurants.

Awesome concept, wide array of choices ( Vietnamese, Mexican, grilled cheese)nice design architecture wise, easy to access location, ample parking, this place will do super well. I would suggest sampling one item from each place rather than ordering Everything (which we did) from just one vendor.

Really interesting place! A bunch of different food options! I ended up getting a burger, while my wife got something totally different! Great family seating outside and awesome chill vibes! There is a brewery right next to it too if you are craving some beer!

Excellent assortment of various food incubator cuisines. Tonight we tried the Saha Mediterranean, this was the Saha Platter, lamb, delicious basmati rice with almonds & side salad. Beer from Edmund's Oast Brewing, Something Cold, a delicious and refreshing light Blonde Ale!

We went to Slider Gold for the Early Autumn Omakase eight course dinner and it was excellent. The wagyu croquette, the sashimi with aged soy sauce, and the pork belly were the highlights of the meal. I've never enjoyed fatty meat, but the pork belly just melts in your mouth and Chef Emperor made the most delicious sauce and rice to go with it. My husband was not as impressed, but I think the price and location played into his assessment more. The Workshop is like an upscale food court, and we sat at Slider Gold's bar instead of the the large area of tables the area shares. So, people were coming up to order several feet from us and once while the chef was explaining a dish he just brought out, a guy came up to ask him if there was a bathroom. I didn't mind it, but I can understand not feeling like it was worth $139 plus drinks. Versions of the items on the menu are available to order by themselves, though, so I would love to at least get another croquette some time or check out the dim sum menu when it comes out.
