Queens Food Hall World Artisan Market Opens in Astoria Fall 2019 in NYC | Eater NY

"Set to open later this fall in a renovated warehouse at 34-39 31st St. (at 35th Avenue), the 18,000-square-foot World Artisan Market is a multi-restaurant food hall in Astoria led by EJ Stevens Group. I understand it will feature about nine restaurants overall and aims to bring a European bakery, an Italian gelato shop and restaurant, Korean barbecue, and Indian cuisine to the neighborhood; each vendor will operate its own full-service, sit-down space so the project will feel more like a collection of different restaurants than a traditional stall-filled food hall. There will also be some outdoor space suitable for al fresco dining or a beer garden. The developers have already locked down tenants and are in talks with several chefs and vendors — including plans to include offerings from Middle Eastern, African, Caribbean, and South American cuisines — with the stated goal of reflecting the diversity of Queens.
