Had lunch at Hot Boys in Carmel and let me just say — from the moment we walked in to the time we checked out, it was an awesome experience! The greeter and waitress were on point, taking time to explain how everything works. Found out they’ve got live DJ nights, trivia, karaoke — definitely follow them on Instagram to stay in the loop. It was my first time there, so we came ready to rate everything: Chicken: A+ Waffle: A+ We were even given samples of the mac & cheese, greens, and chicken étouffée: Greens: A+ Chicken Étouffée: A+ Mac & Cheese: Great flavor, but I’m more of a baked soul food mac fan — just personal preference. Overall: Customer service, food seasoning, flavor, and atmosphere were all top tier. Will definitely be back — and bringing people with me!

Really enjoyed the chicken etoufee and the etoufee fries. The meals inherently have great seasoning and spices. Not too hot though, good flavor with all the meals. Great meeting place for friends to watch sports or just an inexpensive meal with the spouse. Friendly service also a plus!

We saw this restaurant on TikTok and decided to stop in. We were tired from traveling so we opted to do take out. The host who took our order was nice and explained everything. It didn’t take long for our food to come out. The food was absolutely delicious and was still hot when we got back to our hotel. We would recommend this place! We even plan to come back next time we are in Indianapolis to try something else off of their menu.

Bar atmosphere, staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Food, wings, and fries were very good. Very tasteful rub on the wings. In-house sauce for the fries was also very good. Alcohol a bit pricey, but you are in Carmel, soooooo. Definitely recommend

Definitely my go to chicken place. Welcoming staff and great tasting food. The tender sandwich is the best I’ve had anywhere…hands down! The etouffee has amazing flavor!! The owners, Kyle and Aaron are super friendly and welcoming. They make it a point to talk to all the guests in the restaurant. You absolutely need to go to here!!

Ok so for those that cannot do spicy hot...(Like me) This is a great place for you too! When your uncle with the cast iron stomach orders that flaming hot dish that just sitting next to it raises your blood pressure... You can enjoy a nice crispy set of not spicy chicken tenders that are enormous! Not a slim wimpy tender but what looks like they took a whole side of the breast and breaded it. Crispy fries and all came out nice and hot. Wait staff that help you through the menu and the best part. After paying the check he said " Thanks for coming in. Stay as long as you want." I felt like I wasn't being hustled out the door the minute they had my money. Good job guys!!!

Chicken & Waffles. Pretty underwhelming experience unfortunately. I had been to the downtown location a few times and think it’s one of the best experiences in the fried chicken game. The vibe there is incredible and the food’s always hot. The food here came out quick. As a former restaurant guy I know that’s not necessarily the best thing for fried food. Usually it means whatever you ordered was sitting in the hot bin. They’re definitely not busy like the one downtown so maybe I shouldn’t expect fresh hot fried food. I did togo but I live less than 10 mins away and the tenders were small, or maybe normal size and but not what I have come to expect from the Hotboys brand, especially compared to the downtown spot where they’re massive. They were not hot on the inside. The waffles were soggy and one was only basically 3/4 of a waffle. Honestly they were terrible and some of the worst waffles I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of hotel waffles. Who wants a soggy and not at all crispy waffle? This place is fine but there’s no vibe. I guess that’s what to expect when you bring a trendy spot to Zionsville. I’ll wait until I’m downtown for my next Hotboys trip, this ain’t it. $20 is way too much for this experience.
