World Famous Theo's Seafood & Pasta Review - Liberty City - Miami - The Infatuation

"If you’re only used to the stuff from Italy, Theo’s Caribbean-style pasta—specifically the Spicy Azz Chicken Rasta Pasta—will make a superfan out of you. But you might also get hooked on their wings and Alfredo pasta. It all hits. The menu is robust—with eight different Hibachi rice options, lemon pepper salmon bites, a mahi-mahi burger, and fried broccoli. If you’re looking to try Theo’s at a discount, go for their pasta of the day special. You’ll be able to try a new dish Monday through Saturday, which is quite dangerous if you come to love this place as much as we do. " - India Amos

From the moment I walked in to Theo’s, the vibe was amazing. The great music and a warm atmosphere set the mood for an unforgettable dining experience. The service was nothing short of impeccable. The cashier was nothing short of sweet, when taking me and my friends orders. She let us take our time with getting to know the menu and even helped us when we asked her a million questions. Super sweet lady!! Now about the food. I had the honey hot wings and Krab and shrimp eggrolls. The dishes were a masterpieces, both visually and in flavor. My friends had the oxtail Rasta pasta and they said that it was cooked to absolute perfection, it was tender, juicy, and bursting rich flavor on each taste bud. It was simply outstanding. It’s not rare to find a place in MIAMI where every dish leaves a lasting impression, but Theo’s Seafood and Pasta has mastered that art. If you’re a true foodie who appreciates bold flavors and dishes crafted with passion, this place is an absolute must-visit

Ordering was easy. Food was ready when I went to pick it. Staff was sweet. My daughter said the lemonade tasted fresh squeezed and delicious 😋. The food was good but I guess my expectations were too high.

Pasta was really good. Seasoned and nice. They did mix up my dh order. They forgot to add the oxtail to his pasta. Smh. I had the steak and pasta it was really good. The plain fried rice was also good. The corn. Omg the corn was the star. A tiny cup that looked like dipping sauce, hello good surprise. I ate the corn with the toast, it was amazing. Food was really good and is ready pretty fast. Just wished the staff would double check the orders before handing them out. I know that oxtail would have hit if it would have made it to the plate.

DAMN! Headed to Miami from DeLand FL (3.5 hrs +) and all I want is some good seafood, so I start searching. We're skeptical bc many places have sadly disappointed us. So I ran across THEO's and decided to try it. WHY DID I TRY THIS PLACE... WHY?? The place is a Mom & Pop joint with barely standing room. It's hot as hell and people keep flooding in. The staff was working hard to fill the orders but the calls and customers continued Non Freaking Stop! We're tired and hungry so we ordered the Oxtail plate with double garlic potatoes and yellow rice for hubby and Salmon Alfredo Pasta for myself. THEO's DID NOT play with us. The long wait (which was ordered online) was worth all that 38 minutes wait time!!!! We had enough to share with 2 other people. You better catch a cab, Wobble, Scooting ya Boots to get there- but GO! I'm still full and that was Mother's Day weekend. Order inside instead of online bc the live entertainment was also on point (meaning just the people coming in & out). And LAWD THAT CORN! Yes we going back and this time we bringing back up! Hell somebody gotta help eat all this and every human deserves the right to "REALLY BIG THEIR BACK". We not trying to UnBig NoMo...

Google
This food is soooo good. I recommend the Salmon rasta pasta with or the fried fish. The crispy chicken strips and french fries was also good It’s better to order through the delivery apps because the restaurant is located North Miami in the hood and not enough seating. I’m so happy I found this place because it’s definitely affordable and the food is 10 out of 10.

Google
The food is good. I ordered the Alfredo steak pasta that came with bread and cocktail corn in a small cup. One of the cashier was not very receptive. She won't even hand the alarm device for the food to me. She was waiting for me to grab it from her as she dangled it on her side. It's a small restaurant fit for 8 people to dine in. The music they play is very entertaining and the place is well lit and windy. Parking is at the back. It can fit like 10 cars on it.

The food was fantastic, the service was even better, and the atmosphere was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, the gentleman at the door answered our questions about parking and possibly sitting. As we walked in, Mya was incredibly welcoming and energetic. We shared that we were from Chicago, and she showed us all the love from Miami! We ended up ordering a lot of food, you would think we were doing a review, lol. Throughout our stay at Theo’s, Mya and other staff members handled business, and checked on us, gave us suggestions, and were overall friendly and community-oriented. One thing I want to note is that I believe we met the commission of their community and witnessed a young woman, possibly a niece or daughter of someone, being trained. Mya was one of the staff members providing explicit guidance, which was heartwarming. Because it’s important to give back to our youth! Not only should we teach them, but we should also provide them with opportunities! I personally enjoyed the entire experience! Thank you to all the staff and community from Theo’s! This was an amazing start to our stay!

UMMM SO GOOD!!! 5/5 stars. We had the Krab and Shrimp Egg Rolls and the Salmon Rasta Pasta and they were sooo yummy. It was so hard to decide what to order. If we lived in Miami we would be here every day

Yelp
I first thought the smell of food was coming from our poppas kitchen until I noticed they were closed, that's where I was originally going. After learning they were closed I followed my nose straight to Theo's! I was helped by Danielle she was super pleasant. I tend to ask questions before I order. Since I'm not from here I wanted a little guidance. I asked her what she recommended, she loves it all; I can see why. The portions sizes are big, I ate half will eat the other half later. I decided to get chicken fried rice with a 4pc lemon pepper wings naked combo, it came with a drink I chose the mystery flip. Wings were so good! Crispy just like I love them, I just knew I didn't have to tell them crispy. Them wings..... cooked to perfection, A nice crispy crunch the lemon pepper sauce was delicious not too lemony just right. As I ate the rice something was different, after a few bites I noticed they used what I'm assuming to be parboiled rice. A different touch to fried rice very good and light. They aren't stingy with their portions, when they say chicken fried rice they stand on business! You'll find big juicy chunks of chicken throughout your rice. I noticed 3 different sauces, I don't know the names. I didn't know what to do with them so I added them to my rice. The one I loved the most is pink, it reminded me of a sweet and sour sauce. The other sauce was more whipped I loved the consistency I tried it with rice as well. Very solid! The last sauce tasted a little mayo based, I enjoyed it as well. That mystery flop drink sooooooooooo good. Danielle was super funny I asked if they had any house drinks she said yes. I asked what was it she told me the name, I then asked what was in it she said it's a mystery lol. That house drink is a secret, definitely worth the $2 up charge. 10/10 highly recommend Thank you to the staff of theos everything was great

Yelp
Also will recommend to anyway who's in Miami. Food is made fresh and bussin! I've tried the seafood eggrolls, lemon pepper wings, shrimp fried rice, and salmon bites, all were delicious. This isn't really a sit and eat type place because it is pretty small inside.

Yelp
The food is good. The girl who answered the phone was coarse. She should work on her customer service skills. Especially in that environment.

Yelp
Food and pasta really good spot very overhyped, but the food is really really good. I'm not gonna lie to you about that service is great. It will be packed but service is great and if you're waiting a little too long, they do offer you something to drink, which I found that was really cool and not water something to drink which I found really cool. There's no real ambience because again it's a nice size You go then you pick up your food and you go there's a couple spots in there to eat, but because it's so packed, you just gonna grab your food and go definitely would recommend you go try to spot out.

Yelp
It was good. The vibe was welcoming. I would go again. The staff was patient and organized.

Yelp
Theo's is hands-down our team's favorite spot! We come here often and the service is always warm and welcoming. The seafood is fresh, the pasta is delicious, and the staff treats us like family every time. Consistently amazing food and service... highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here during my lunch break and I must say that was a good decision. They have lunch specials that varies from pasta to chicken wings to chicken strips and chicken sandwiches and what not. The prices were very reasonable. I was not trying to spend more than $30 on no lunch. (If you get what I'm saying). But the chicken strips with fries special was $8 and it comes with a drink. I opted to place my order at the place instead of online. And the staff were on point. They greeted me as soon as I walked in. Very efficient too cause it wasn't busy per se but it was a constant flow of people coming in and out the place. Next time I'll do online ordering. But the food was definitely fresh and solid. And for the price you can't beat it.

Yelp
Bro, I've been patronizing ur establishment since u opened up. On this very day, I ordered a chicken Alfredo pasta dish and it was totally trash. It was pig slop bro. From the beginning, The looks of it was discouraging and once I took my first bite, I knew for a fact that it would be my last bite. In my very humble, U should revisit ur roots, the very same roots that made a guy like myself come back for more. U're pushing out a bad product right now and that might be attributed to the success that u've earned from the past. Don't become lazy or complacent my brother. Clientele is very important in this very fickle business. Think about that

Yelp
Ordered from here yesterday because I had been hearing very good things about it. We ordered the grilled pork chops which came with garlic potatoes and broccoli, crab cake, and chicken pasta. First the bad, the grilled pork chops were terrible, flavorless, dry, and not seasoned. Had I known that they were going to be the pork chops without bone I would never have ordered them. The potatoes were good very flavorful and the broccoli was over seasoned way too much salt. The crab cake was ok, and the sauce that came with it was good. The chicken pasta was delicious pasta cooked perfectly and very tasty. I will order from here again, and remind my self that it's the pastas I will only order.

Yelp
This is a little hole in the Wall, in the City " Liberty City" for those who are not from Miami. But don't be fooled, they serve wonderfully amazingly awesome and great fresh soul food seafood dishes. I got the lemon pepper wings and a salmon Alfredo pasta, Man I was sad that I only had one stomach. The wings were delicious with a nice dry rub. They're one of the best in Miami. But the fresh salmon Alfredo pasta was the best. It was a fresh, flavorful, not salty, not overwhelming with the sauce, but perfect sauce to penne pasta ratio. This easily gets a 9.0 out of 10 score. If you're visiting Miami, please check this out, you won't miss beat. It's best you order online, they have very limited seating inside and order are made, when ordering has been complete.

Yelp
FINALLY A PLACE REASONABLY PRICED Ok so boom ! First stepped into the place and everyone was husslin, pots and pans flying everywhere...a beautiful site to see. I ordered the shrimp alfredo ($14) which in my personal opinion is just ok. 5/10 I also ordered the seafood egg roll which is made from artificial crab meat. Unlike other people who don't understand pricing and complain about the crab being artificial, if they were made from real crab meat that $4 per egg roll will change to $8. The sauce that comes with them is fire ! 8/10 The 10 piece fried shrimp was soft and fried perfectly ! The sauce that comes with it I can do without. The sauce has a strong mustard taste to it. The shrimp without the sauce is. 8.5/10 Shout out to Theos I'll be back

Yelp
Went too Theo's and order the spicy salmon pasta, krab pasta and steak pasta. Me and wife loved the dishes and the flop was" out of this world". We will be going too Theo's more often.

Yelp
Upon stumbling upon this place on instagram reels, I was super excited to try. Service was great, food took about 25-30 minutes but considering they were busy and made everything fresh to order I didn't mind at all. My expectations were definitely met. We tried the lemon pepper wings, Spicy Alfredo, steak Alfredo and their corn. A must try! Staff were very kind and even offered us free drinks for the wait. Definitely a must try in Miami.

Yelp
ZERO STARS This places has the worse food and customer services and I truly hate to say that about a black owned business. This place left me on hold for 5 minutes TWICE just to place an order for pick up. The employee over the phone tried to act like HE couldn't hear me over the phone after calling back several times. Then when they finally stopped playing they said they could only take my order over the phone if I paid over the phone. The people that work there are scammers and are doing ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES. Not to mention the pasta sauce was broken when I did have it. You can make better pasta at home

Yelp
My friends, and I stopped by this place after the airport, because it was the closest seafood spot. It was definitely a hole-in-the wall so I didn't know what to expect. The inside is pretty small, with two tables that fit 4 and some bar counter sitting. Despite the looks, to my surprise, the place was absolutely AMAZING. My friends had the fried broccoli and salmon lemon pepper bites. The salmon lemon pepper bites may have been the best creation and is my new favorite way to eat salmon. I initially only ordered the wings. I ordered the hot lemon pepper and it sure delivered. The wings were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and they didn't skimp out on the sauce. While I was eating wings, I saw people order the spicy-azz pasta. When I saw their food come out, it looked so good, that I went back to the counter and ordered my own spicy-azz pasta with shrimp. My eyes definitely did not deceive me because the pasta was just as good as it tasted. I wanted to finish it all but couldn't cause portions were all so large too. I think the waitress saw how much I was enjoying the food and gave me a free special drink. It was like a sweet - lemonade type drink. It was tasty too especially if you like sweet. I would definitely recommend Theo's to anyone in the Miami area. I would love to see this place blow up and expand to a large restaurant because the food is straight fuego

Yelp
If you want some of the best options for food, come to Theo's Seafood! It was a welcoming environment in a small space. I got the hibachi steak and rice with fried lemon pepper salmon bites. When I tell you that food was sooooooooooo good!!!! Cooked to perfection and the lemon pepper bites were sooo good and fried perfectly. Plus my meal was affordable. I will definitely return for more and if you go, go get those salmon bites! Lol

Yelp
Called the first time and someone answered, but could hear nothing. I Called back and was put on hold, without a hello or hold on. Waited 3 mins while in the background an order is being taken(no problem). Hung up called back (7 times) and each time call went to answering service. Finally was able to place order because I had my boyfriend call on 3way which wasn't until he pulled up in parking lot . Boyfriend picked up order, No drink which is actually on receipt, wings weren't fresh and bread was soggy. The fact I was calling from 9:14 and didn't get to speak to someone until 9:30, waited 30 mins to receive not even warm wings. The only thing I was please with was the pasta.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Theo's via Uber Eats because I had a craving for seafood and no desire to venture out on an Art Basel Friday night. Their menu offers a wide variety of foods to satisfy various tastes, such as appetizers, pasta, hibachi rice, wings, sandwiches, tacos, and of course, seafood. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The food dried up a bit on its journey to me, but was still good.

Yelp
Just got to Miami and needed something good to eat that was open late. Found Theo's and seen the reviews were mainly only UberEats, but still decided to stop by.. I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED! If you're the kind of person who enjoys well seasoned, flavorful food, with lots of food options... make sure you stop here! We had the 3 pc wing (garlic parm) w/ chicken Alfredo, and the 3 pc wing (mystery flavor was bomb!) w/ chicken hibachi rice. All very good!

Yelp
From food truck to restaurant. I love this freaking place with all my heart , the owner even more . His employees and himself are what makes this place so amazing . They are truly down to earth and ever respectful , as well as genuine . The food is always extremely fresh and so darn good . The portions is worth the price ! Which by the way are truly affordable . My latest favorite is salmon lemon pepper bites , their hibachi rice is to die for and literally can feed 2 people . The restaurant itself is so uniquely decorated. Going inside you will feel right at home EXTREMELY clean and absolutely breath taking . I love this place and I wish nothing but the best to Theo !

Yelp
One word for the food - bomb! I discovered this place on Ubereats while looking for some good seafood. Long story short I've ordered 4x in 3 weeks. It is that addicting. I've tried a variety of things from the salmon Rasta pasta, Alfredo, hibachi fried rice and grilled/fried shrimp. Everything is full of flavor and the portion sizes are more than filling. I have yet to visit the physical location but delivery has been superb. Food always arrives still hot, packaged nicely and order is correct. My next trip will have to be to the store as they do a different special everyday from $10 pasta to $2 tacos.

Yelp
This place is excellent. By far the best restaurant in the area. There is not one thing on this menu that I wouldn't order again. Fresh food, amazing flavor and great variety. I'm sure there's not one single person who has eaten here that wouldn't agree.

Miss M.

Yelp
The people were nice, but I didn't like my food very much. I ordered boneless wings. They tasted like unthawed Tyson's chicken bites that were freezer burnt. The fries were mostly edible, but too many burnt/hard ones. The seasoning on the fries was great. I was so disappointed in my food overall. My friend's food, the salmon bites, were good (I tasted it) which is why I gave it two stars. They're menu is huge, so there's something for everyone. Some of the pricing is a bit excessive for the amount of food, but it's just business, I guess.

Yelp
I called before placing my order via Ubereats to gauge the wait time. The gentleman that answered was very polite (thank you). However, when it came down to the food - yikes. How could everything be under seasoned? Seriously how? I'm not one to add salt or pepper to food because 90% of the time I am happy with my food (even when others aren't). Yet, this time wasn't the case. The food was so under seasoned I wish I had never placed my order. The wings were bland - couldn't taste the garlic parm seasoning. The rice and tilapia was also way under seasoned. When I say under seasoned it tasted as if NO SEASONING WHATSOEVER had been added to anything. Again, I'm not a heavy handed seasoner nor am I one to add salt or pepper to every dish but this was completely ridiculous. I could never risk $27 ever again and order from this establishment. Great customer service, but not $27 worth. I ordered a red velvet cake, but haven't yet tasted it. Hoping that is at least good.
