Disneyland Kicks Off Disney100 Celebration With a New Ride, Dazzling Nighttime Spectaculars, and Limited-edition Snacks

"The all-new nighttime spectacular in Disney California Adventure Park emphasizes how one small action can create a ripple effect, using towering walls of water to project classic characters and film moments — we watch Joe from Soul experience his first jazz show, Mulan ignite an avalanche to protect her compatriots, and Moana listen to her grandmother’s spirit — with lasers, fog and flames adding to the atmosphere; viewing spots are allocated via a virtual queue through the Disneyland app." - Chelsee Lowe Chelsee Lowe Chelsee Lowe is a Los Angeles-based writer with an obsession with good eats and interesting stories. The World of Color Show at Disneyland California Adventures Park, is an incredible sight to see but the problem is you have to wait over an hour plus to see the show in the "perfect" spot or you aren't going to see the show as it is intended, even than you risk Disney staff telling you can't be there. The moments I was able to see of the show we're magical, but the staff have a lack of care of guest seeing this show, my advice from experience is have a member from your group save you the perfect spot about two hours along the railing of the water if you want to see all that the show is intended to offer.

Absolute BEST nighttime spectacular show I've ever seen. Yes, it's a long wait to camp for a prime viewing spot, but the payoff is SOOOO worth it. This was the last thing we experienced at our Disneyland vacation, and it was the perfect way to wrap it up. We can't stop talking about just how amazing it was.

I've seen this show a handful of times over the years and it keeps getting better and better. Truly the best show that Disney does and is worth staying for / getting a park hopper if you only have one day at Disney. As of right now, they open up the virtual queue at noon, so try to snag a spot if you can. If you get into the yellow or blue sections, go down to the "splash zone" half an hour early and get a spot at the railing. You don't get wet anymore, it's more like a fine mist that'll rain upon you and it's the best spot. Even if a few people are in front of you because you can't get the rail, the projections are large enough that you won't miss anything. Imo, it's not worth getting a dining package when virtual queue is available and to be fair, any spot is a good viewing spot, even if you're on the bridge of Pixar Pier. My tip is to catch the second show as well as it's not nearly as crowded as the first. I was just there a few days ago and the second show had MAYBE fifty people waiting for it, at most. Given that it was really cold out and during this crazy weather California has been having, but it was insane to see how few people were there. Imo, this show outweighs Fantasmic and if you have to pick between fireworks, Fantasmic or this, go with World of Color. You won't regret it. It's like nothing else you've ever seen before. They utilize the ferris wheel, the lighting on Incredicoaster, the lamps surrounding you. There's fire, there's pretty lights, there's good music, all your favorite movies are shown. There's everything. The new show they've done for the 100th might be their best, though their 60th anniversary show was really well done too. Kids might prefer Fantasmic more because of the princesses and princes that show up, but they'll still enjoy WoC when they see movies they love projected.

Amazing show!!! So colorful and fun to watch!! only wished we didn't have to stand for so long before the show, and you need to reserve to get really close to watch it.

Super cool show, great for kids. Get up front at least 15-20 minutes early. It gets packed but good enough space to spread out and chill. Check wind direction to not get drenched. Because you will.

Disney's World of Colors is undeniably one of Disney's greatest creations! It showcases unparalleled creativity, taking imagination to extraordinary heights and delivering a mesmerizing spectacle. For the best viewing experience, head to the center of the viewing area, directly opposite the Mickey Ferris wheel. While standing in front of the railing, be prepared to get a little wet, feel the heat, and immerse yourself in the breathtaking display. Arriving early ensures a front-row seat to one of the most exceptional shows in the world. Even after watching it more than ten times, I still can't get enough of it. However, I believe that if Disney applied the same level of creative thinking to enhance the viewing and enjoyment of the show, similar to how we have in Six Flags' dolphin show, it would be truly outstanding. This approach should also be extended to the world-famous fireworks show and the fantastic Fantasmic show.

This post is for the new show attended on 8-9_25, as One was our favorite. My wife purchased the dessert party for our out of town guests. The event itself was a complete and unorganized disaster. Beware you are not guaranteed a great view as we have watched the One show from different areas with better viewing. We were sat to the very right side of the event and denied moving to a different table. At first they sat our party of 5 at 2 tables, last ones to the right. Then they returned and kicked us down to one table only, placing our chairs behind another party. Very rude about it. I chose to stand at the back against the rail at this point. Later we were offered a low table with an even worse view. Disney has lost magic over the years but this was the worst so far. We are definitely not purchasing any more extra event entertainment for awhile. Doubtful we will renew our passes. The magic is just gone.

Such an enjoyable show, I recommend doing the dining or dessert options. Bring a sweater or a blanket, it's a bit brisk out on the pier.
