Highly Opinionated: The 8 Best Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps in LA | Eater LA

"A 1990s chain and one of the originators of fast-casual wrapping, remembered here as the author’s teenage ``go-to Caesar wrap destination'' in Palo Alto. The chain embodied Y2K-era optimism and reimagined many dishes as burrito-esque creations; a June 1995 article in the San Francisco Examiner dubbed it “the clean-cut, Gen X answer to fast food,” adding: “After a World Wrapp meal, you can still play volleyball, ride bikes or go to the health club. After a Tex-Mex burrito, only a siesta will do.” The piece notes that the brand faded into obscurity before reemerging in 2016 under new ownership with an updated look and menu." - Hilary Pollack

Love, love, love this place! Located next to McDonalds in Stanford Mall and right across the covered parking garage. Small area but they’ve made good use of the space. I’ve walked past this place several times because I’m just not into wraps- until i saw people in the outside seating area with bowls!!! They have food selections- asian themed in taste. I loved the options they have for their Nori bowls and how you can choose between, chicken or steak. You get bang for your buck because they don‘t scrimp on the ingredients. You will get a generous portion and totally money well spent! Food is presented well & carefully prepared- it’s almost a shame to wat it! There’s something for everyone! Kids menu, vegetarian options… I like how they’re environmentally conscious. Waste sorting bins and the first place that i’ve seen use bamboo straws! Way better than paper straws because they don’t get mushy however long it’s submerged in your drink. Great ambiance with good music that plays from a central sound system. Nothing too loud but sends a good vibe. Staff are nice and polite. I got the impression that it was self service but staff behind the counter insisted we leave our trays on the table. I loved the bowl i got and left stuffed. I literally walked around & shopped afterwards because you will need that walk! Would definitely come back here to try the other bowls. I’m glad that there’s an option to get a bowl if you’re not into wraps. The bulgogi steak nori bowl i got was sooooo yummy!!!! I’m salivating just thinking of it right now. Bowl had some seaweed seasoning sprinkled on it which went really well with the dish. Orders can be placed on big touch screen kiosks at the counter where you can customize your order.

I wanted a chicken Cesar salad wrap and this place delivered. The potatoes were good too. I wanted to go back in the morning and get another one but they didn’t open until 11:30 on a Sunday and I had to leave earlier than that.

My parents visited this restaurant and came home excited to tell me how delicious the food was and how impressed they were with the staff. I wanted to see for myself if it lived up to their praise, so I decided to try it. When I arrived, the cashier, Julieth, helped me and recommended several dishes, which were incredible. I chose the chimichurri dish, where Geobany's attention made me feel welcome. At the end of this wonderful experience, everyone said goodbye and wished me a happy day. I really appreciate this kind of attention, as it's not common in many restaurants.

Google
Loved the Tikka Bowl, fresh ingredients, top flavors, and good portion. The Classic Fries and the drink were equally good/refreshing. Fries were perfectly crispy, not at all greasy!!!

Google
Very interesting food spot that is kind of like Hispanic Asian fusion. Think it a burrito bowl with sushi rice. I had the surf and turf with steak and shrimp. Absolutely fantastic. Very rich so be prepared. As I waited the staff was very nice and we talked about travel to different parts of the world. Great experience!

I recently visited World Wraps at the Stanford Shopping Center and had a great experience. The Tikka Masala Bowl with quinoa and tofu was healthy and filling, while the Vegetarian Fajitas were a delicious surprise. The staff were polite and friendly, making it a spot worth trying for flavorful, wholesome options.

Love love love. Fresh ingredients and healthy options that taste delicious. Had the tuna nori wrap which was good. Had better ones but this tasted good. Shout out to Hayes and Cesar for their warm hospitality. Hayes recommended the pineapple mint juice and gave me samples of others. Juice was refreshing and delish. Hayes hooked it up for 10% discount for first time customer which was super nice. Tipped it back and more of course. Cesar was super friendly and helpful, said they make their flat bread fresh daily made to order and that I should’ve tried that. Will next time. And he complimented me with a delicious chocolate fudge brownie which was yum! Nice chill ambiance, tall doors and ceiling which I liked—it allowed for plenty of fresh air to flow through. Glad I stopped by!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was super attentive. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and came out right on time. You can tell they really care about the details and making sure guests are happy. Gio was especially helpful and guided me to make a better choice when ordering — I truly appreciate it. It was my first time here, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
First time at World Wrapps, visited the location near Stanford as we were there for an all day Dr appt. My 8 yo and I both had the salmon, mine with the works and hers just fish, rice & a few veggies, plus a watermelon drink. My dad had the shawarma and a strawberry lemonade. We shared an order of fries. Everything came out fast and delicious. It was around $70 for everything, but it was fresh tasting and good portions. The staff were all super kind! We live many hours away, but if we're ever in the area again, will stop by for sure!

Yelp
Just were shopping and needed a quick bit to eat. Perfect place. We had the shrimp and steak wrap and it was delicious. Had some fries and two drinks. Services was easy with the automated kiosk and staff bring the food to your table. They have a couple of tables inside and outside. Would definitely try again if we were in the area.

Yelp
My second time 'trying' World Wrapps right by my work. The first time I got the Tikka Masala wrap and fries. It was ok-ish, the flavor was definitely not traditional Tikka Masala, fries were undercooked and soft, but it didn't suck. Now we come to my second time. I decided to get something I love....Chicken Shawarma! So I'm on my lunch break and I go get the Shawarma wrap. It's heavy, has to weigh 2 plus pounds easy. I get back to work and try a couple of bites. It's an oversauced wet mess that tastes nothing like Shawarma. So I wander back over, lunch is now shot, to get my refund. I paid with a debt card, they have my money, now my refund has to be approved by corporate?!? WTH? As they took my 2 pounds of nasty food back I was offered a VIP card, I declined. Not sure what kind of weird fusion stuff this is, but it left me disappointed as hell. The hapless staff are a bunch of nice kids, prolly the only upside. If you like Tikka Masala, or Shawarma it ain't being made here.

Yelp
The teriyaki chicken wrap was delicious and the fries had the right amount of garlic for my taste... Giovani was amazingly helpful!!! You need to open one in Pismo beach

Yelp
I had a great experience today at World Wrapps! Not only was this tastiest Caesar wrap I've had in a long time, I really appreciate how attentive and helpful the employee who helped me was. I have an allergy to apples, and I asked if the dressing had apple cider vinegar - she told me she would look, but made a point to ask me if I wanted any proteins as she was pretty sure they were all marinated in ACV and sure enough, everything except a couple things was in that marinade. She did confirm I was okay with the dressing. Most places are not as accommodating or aware of ingredients, and I was super impressed! Will definitely be a return customer.

Yelp
The ambiance is cute but small but there's not a lot of space to eat. Parking is insane bc the restaurant is part of the mall so parking can be challenging. Everything on the menu is so good, but my all time favorite is the Marsala chicken bowl with brown rice with quinoa and veggies. All the flavors are amazing and it's not too dry nor salty. The service is fast and simple. The staff's were great and amazingly knowledgeable. I'll be back for sure

Yelp
We found this little gem in between doctors appointments at Stanford. It is conveniently located in the Stanford Mall just down the street from Stanford Hospital. It's a little place with both indoor and outdoor dining. The crew there is very friendly and helpful. They had a wide array of choices. You order from a kiosk, which is easily explained. My son went for the surf and turf quesadilla, my daughter tried their chicken adobo burrito and I went for the chicken teriyaki wrap. Some of their signature drinks are premade and available at the kiosk. We know it's lots of people ordering and picking up. And the wraps are made on site, I believe. Everything was delicious. I would definitely not hesitate to return.

Yelp
I just love their samurai salmon wrap, I get it with no rice and it's just so fresh and yummy and filling. The tortilla is so soft and chewy and it's GREEN which is so fun. The servers are super friendly and the vibes are so nice with the outdoor seating. I always forget this place exists but I need to come here more.
google avatar

Carlie B.

Yelp
I got this as takeout. I got the adobo burrito. It was really good! Pretty big for me so I get to have it again tomorrow. Pretty heavy on the rice but I didn't mind because it added flavor. Would recommend!

Yelp
World Wrapps is a great spot to grab a quick, healthy bite while walking around the Stanford Shopping Mall. While the wrap was good, my standout favorite was their surf & turf kale salad. The portions are very generous and they don't skimp on the protein! The bowl is piled high with shrimp, steak, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes all topped with their garlic dressing. This is a great spot to stop for a quick lunch or dinner after exploring the mall or Stanford campus. Inside seating is pretty limited, but they have heat lamps for some of their outdoor seating.

Yelp
Got the poke bowl and the poke quality isn't really on par with other actual dedicated poke shops. Can't customize it and it comes with standard onion crisp, cucumbers and avocado. Is missing seaweed and wasabi and roe that would be otherwise be great with this dish. I also wasn't enthused about the mango tea Boba. The tea flavor was alright, but you can't really customize the sweetness. The Boba itself were not the right texture. Overall, it wasn't bad for lunch but to get really good poke or Boba I would go to other places.

Yelp
This place was conveniently near the Stanford campus and where I was staying in Menlo Park, and there are several vegetarian and vegan options. I tried the watermelon Fresca drink and the chimichurri bowl, which was ready in less than 10 minutes and tasted great! The bowl felt balanced and had a good amount of flavorful sauce. The staff were very friendly and even checked in on customers, something I rarely see in a fast casual restaurant. There is some seating inside, but most tables are outside. You also get $5 when you sign up for their loyalty program.
google avatar

Grace X.

Yelp
I had the argentinian chimichurri tofu wrap for delivery, it was delicious. Menu has lots of vegan options and is well labeled. Wrap was a little bit smaller than I was expecting, but very flavorful.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
We got the chicken tikka masala bowl and the spicy tuna bowl. Both meals were tasty, balanced, and fresh. I added avocado for $1.50, but I wish the portion had been more generous. I was also excited to try the watermelon aqua fresca, but it had way too much lemon juice. I could barely finish it.
google avatar

Zubair L.

Yelp
The bulgogi beef and shrimp with kale, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes had a perfect balance of flavors. Probably the best bowl from a restaurant that I've had. The beef was tender and sweet, the shrimp added a nice, fresh bite, and the sweet potatoes brought just the right amount of sweetness. The kale stayed crisp, and the mushrooms soaked up all the savory juices. It's hearty, flavorful, and feels healthy without sacrificing taste !

Yelp
Its located between McDonalds and Pressed and has clean indoor and outdoor seating. You go inside and order at counter and then food comes to your table. They dont bring cutlery or napkins with the order and they are not kept openly near the water corner or sauces so you have to go back inside and ask them for it. Deducting a star for that. In $26, we got: - chicken classic quesadilla - 3/5 average with cheddar cheese and plain chicken. Came with cold salsa and sour cream on the side. 4 pieces cut neatly. - chicken shawarma wrap- 1/5 it tasted nothing like chicken shawarma and nothing meditterean. Bland chicken with leavesand tomato with lots of white sauce in the bottom of the wrap. Big portion to fill u up but not tasty.

Yelp
Amazing food, even better atmosphere, the man Giovani gave such great service and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my lunch. Def coming back
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp
It's actually quite incredible that they managed to make a Thai peanut sauce taste this mediocre. The rice was a strange mushy texture, and the vegetables were also bland.

Yelp
This is our usual spot and we love it here! I can't believe I haven't left a review for our favorite place. I discovered World Wrapps from a catered meeting at work. We also have our usual order Chicken Tikka Masala bowl and the Salmon Argentina Chimichurri bowl. Ingredients also fresh, flavorful, satisfying and customizable. The salmon is always cooked perfectly. The chicken and beef also excellent. They have flavor profile dishes to suit everyone. Also the staff here are super friendly and helpful with the menu and I often see them helping customers with the kiosk ordering. Weekend staff are great, like Gio and the young girl who always asks if you need any help. And the weekday staff are equally friendly. I like the kiosk order system but I wish that we could redeem our rewards cause as it is you can only use rewards with online ordering (but that's ok it doesn't stop us from frequenting this place). Another great reason we come here is the outdoor seating as we love dining outside to enjoy the weather. Try this place, great fast casual spot and if you're in a hurry order online to go - you won't be disappointed

Yelp
The Thai Chicken Wrap was wonderful (perfectly spiced, plentiful and very fresh) and the food was matched by the kind and gracious service I received on Saturday afternoon, June 21. I had some trouble ordering/paying on the screen and the all of the staff behind the counter were patient and helpful. They never made me feel "tech deficient". The whole crew on Saturday was hard working, welcoming and very professional. I felt blessed.

Yelp
So fresh, so clean and I love the flavors. The new Bangin' Buffalo salad is my new favorite. A perfect lunch that fills me up without making me feel full.

Yelp
We ordered the ahi tuna nori wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, chicken tex mex quesadilla + the mango juice and pineapple mint agua fresca for drinks. The food came out super fast and the portions were huge. The spicy ahi tuna wrap was good. The tuna tasted fresh and is a great option if you're looking for a light lunch. It comes with a wasabi aioli inside and wow it is spicy. You can turn any of the wrap into a bowl which we think would've been better for the chicken shawarma wrap. It was heavily packed with greens and is better suited as a salad. Our favorite was the chicken tex mex quesadilla. We were expecting those thin quesadillas you usually get at a fast food place but this was loaded. Great flavor and really enjoyed it overall. The drinks were ok. They offer boba as a topping but they ran out this day. The mango juice was nothing out of the ordinary, tasting like typical mango green tea you'd find at a boba shop. The pineapple mint fresca was very refreshing and had a unique, herby taste, although it was a bit strong for my liking. Overall, pretty good option if you're visiting the stanford shopping center.

Nirmit S.

Yelp
I ordered the Tikka Bowl and Classic Fries, everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The portion sizes were amazing, the fries were crispy, and not greasy. 10/10 on the quality!

Yelp
Amazing service. Their chicken caesar salad wrap is a staple. Gio, the manager, is also great and phenomenal service.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is excellent; I recommend trying to wraps. I ordered the Hawaiian Poke wrap, and it was very good. The food is also nutritious, and a good value for the fresh ingredients. The drinks are also really good, and taste fresh. The staff was very courteous!

Yelp
I love coming to this location! The kiosk makes it easy to order. The food is delicious, the service is top tier - everyone is so nice! (Shout out to Gio!) and that playlist - whoever is in charge of the music - Great music choices! Recommendations: -Gaucho Steak (Global Quesadillas) -Argentina Chimichurri Steak and Salmon (Surf and Turf) in a bowl -(World Fries) Garlic Spice with Chimichurri sauce Also really like that you can get the sauces on the side :)

Millo M.

Yelp
Geo is so nice, during the service he was super caring about me. The food was delicious, especially the thai chicken wrap. Cute vibe also.

Anthony G.

Yelp
Really good food. First time I've been here, so Geo helped me with the checkout. Roasted potatoes were fantastic. You could actually taste the delicious potatoes as opposed to all the oil that you get in fried potatoes. The peanut salad hit the spot.
google avatar

Yelp
I always walked past this place in favor of the more exciting spots nearby, but finally gave it a shot and really enjoyed the food. Nothing crazy - just good, healthy, and filling food. Nice and quick service.

Yelp
My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at World Wrapps at Stanford Shopping Center. The menu has changed since we last ate there several months ago. I had the Salmon Argentina Chimichurri, while my wife had the Steak Argentina Chimichurri. We sat outside and the staff brought us our order, they were nice and always with a smile. It was really nice eating outside, only wish they had some ice cream like they had in the past.

Jean K.

Yelp
Food have always been decent. I ordered via kiosk and was charged a "service fee"....the absolute ridiculous and nonsenseness our society and dining have become.
google avatar

Ligia L.

Yelp
La comida está muy rica el service al cliente muy bueno Gio y julieta fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron a elegir bien nuestra comida gracias

An D.

Yelp
Food was great. We got all the fries and chicken/tofu tikka masala wraps. Julie was super nice and extremely friendly. She served us with her sweet smile.

Jessica R.

Yelp
Its my first time eating at this location, I asked a girl named carmen for a recommendation and she suggested the chicken wrap, it was sooo good, I love ceasar salads and the wrap was just the right amount of food for me. Carmen was the sweetest too, she took the time to give me her favorite options and I felt seen and heard. I will def. be coming back to this location

Yelp
Argentina chimichurri bowl was so good! Ingredients are fresh and filling! And super flavorful. My first time here and the service was really quick during lunch hour. Staff is super nice. Can't wait to come back to try the other items on the menu.

Yelp
Great meal, Angel was very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. Also very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Wendy L.

Yelp
World Wrapps always hits the spot after a Barry's workout. Good protein and always a healthy treat. Food is fresh. Love their samarai salmon wrap, the dressing compliments it so well together. Staff is great. It's always good to see Jovanny, he's pleasant and always checks to make sure we are okay while eating there. It is one of my new favorite dinner spots to go to.

Jimmy E.

Yelp
Great experience good customer service by julee. Great staff would choose again. Fries were great

Yelp
Today was my first time coming here, and the food was amazing! Geo was very helpful and customer service was great! Thanks geo. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Good lunch spot at the Stanford Mall. I ordered the Argentina chimichurri beef and salmon bowl. I couldn't taste the chimichurri flavor on the beef off the salmon, so I had to ask for some extra on the side to put on myself. The proteins were cooked well and I ended up enjoyed it after asking for that. The paella wrap was pretty good - it includes shrimp and chicken. It was a bit hard to eat, though, since the paper stuck to the tortilla which was a bit soggy. Something we didn't notice until we had ordered is that there's a 10% off discount for students, so make sure to look out for that! Overall the food was delicious, but the prices were a bit much, especially for the bowls where the base is just rice and salad.

Enuhj C.

Yelp
Excellent customer service!! If I can Give 10 stars I will!. Giovanni is very helpful and takes time to explain each individual items. Very friendly staff thanks

Shiv S.

Yelp
5 Stars -- Absolutely Stellar Service from Gio! I can't say enough good things about Gio at World Wraps in Palo Alto. He's the kind of person who immediately makes your experience better from the moment you walk in. Super friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure you're happy with your order. Gio went out of his way to make thoughtful recommendations, double-checked everything to get it just right, and brought a great energy to the whole place. It's rare to come across someone who blends professionalism with such a positive attitude -- you can tell he takes pride in his work. Thanks to Gio, World Wraps isn't just a quick meal spot, it's a place I actually look forward to coming back to. Give this guy a raise! He's a total asset to the team.

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Great place to eat. Angel was awesome! Amazing food and service! I had the Argentina steak wrap! A must try. Definitely be back!

Yelp
Geovani was such a great person. We loved the food and the amazing service and hospitality was an added bonus

Yelp
It's the second time I've been to World Wrapps and the serving size is huge! Definitely 2 serving size or more. Dining space is quite small and cozy inside but they have a handful of tables outside for convenience. I asked about their popular entrees here and was told the Argentina Chimichurri is a hit, yet I got the Wasabi poke bowl and it's sooo good and refreshing! Comes with lettuce, ahi poke, cucumbers, avocado, pickled ginger, sprout, glass noodles, etc. A bit heavy on the sauce with a wild kick of wasabi (watch out!) im a fan of it though. ---I ordered dine in so next time I'll ask for light on the sauce or sauce on the side for takeout. Flavors are 5/5.

Albert K.

Yelp
Normally, a great place. But, this time, ordered a Furikake salmon wrap. No salmon in wrap! Edited. Owner contacted me with a very courteous message. It was an honest mistake. All good. I can't help it, I'm still eating there and the Furikake salmon wrap is the best!
