"The Worthy Brewery and Pub, located on Bend’s eastside, is hard to miss with its large outdoor area, airy brewpub, and a three-story giant “Hopservatory”— a reflective telescope with a retractable roof. Inside, diners find well-crafted IPAs and creative one-off seasonal ales. Along with basic pub fare, menu items are named after characters in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and listed with beer pairings. The McMurphy Bowl is an excellent choice for vegetarian and gluten-free diners with sweet potatoes, root veggies, quinoa, and cilantro-lime cream. The clam chowder is well-spiced without being overbearing; its chunks of clams are tender in the generously portioned “cup” of soup. Or try the wood-fired pizza with unique toppings like Oregon pears or white beer cheese sauce. Thursday through Sunday, on clear nights, patrons can ascend the spiral staircase and stargaze with a beer in hand. Or visit the downtown location at Beers and Burgers at 806 NW Brooks Street." - Barb Gonzalez, Jeffrey Stull

I was going to stop at Deschutes but then saw this place off the road - the beautiful garden caught my eye. I found an incredible farm to table brewery with delicious beer and food to boot! Jasmine was a very nice server and gave me generous tasters, so I got to try a few of their beers before settling on the single hop Lorien which has salmon safe hops! The intentionality is very apparent here. I had half nachos and half beet salad and felt full of goodness and ready to go on with my adventure. Thanks for creating this inspiring community spot and feeding all the people and pollinators with your gardens!

All we can say is WOW! These folks are not just checking boxes, they are living it too. While the food (in our case a burger) was mouthwatering, it's the other experiences available to explore that makes the stop well worthwhile. Cool, clean restrooms (6 of them) accessible friendly, garden club and tour, observatory (hopservatory) in their case, live music, indoor outdoor dining and overlook decks, this place simply spells experience. We added them to our Central Oregon clean restroom directory as a result of our visit, which mind you was just to inquire about the observatory. Good job Worthy's!

Google
I LOVE the atmosphere at worthy brewing. They have a gorgeous HUGE patio, offer live music often, delicious food, great beers, and friendly staff that really bring the energy. I've never been disappointed at this establishment!

Google
What a great brewery and restaurant! Live music, observatory and wonderful staff A must visit when traveling through or a great daily watering hole

Google
Great vibe! Nice selection of beer and cider. The dessert was really good too. Outside seating was cozy with the fires going. This would be our go to place if we lived in Bend, can't wait to visit again.

Google
This is an awesome brewery and well worth your time! In addition to great beer, I highly recommend this particular location because of their Observatory. They have an actual Astronomer here (whose name I think is Grant), who is very knowledgeable and friendly. He was fantastic with the kids, enthusiastically answering all of their questions, and was able to answer some pretty specific curiosities I threw at him too. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Bend!

Google
This is a great place! We went there for lunch and sat on the patio. You can see they are dog friendly, a number of guest with their pups and all well behaved! The beer was very good. As it was rather hot in the sun we had the Thurst Trap and the Pilsner as well as the watermelon wheat. All very refreshing! The was very? Good too! Had the Dead Beet Salad and the Worthy Pizza with extra anchovies. Both very tasty! The pizza crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings plentiful. Even better, they care about the environment! The? Have a self-serve water station with reusable cups for the guests to help themselves to all the water they need. N9t to mention the herb and vegetables garden they have next to the brewery to grow their own greens. Looking forward to go there again to taste all the other delicious menu items!

Google
The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including a cool rooftop space. I recently moved to the area, and this quickly became one of my favorite hangouts. Great food, friendly staff, and an awesome local vibe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and enjoyed it. Portions are very filling. Our server was friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. Lots of beers on tap to choose from.

Drew H.

Yelp
Large space and ambiance was pretty nice. Went up to the observation tower. Was hoping for more but you get one look and that's the end of the viewing. The service was poor. We waited a long time for our server and she rarely checked in on us. Tool forever to get a box and our check. The beer was decent. The pizza was mediocre, but other food looked better. Would be fine for a first date spot.

Valerie N.

Yelp
I had tried to start a review here. Or somewhere else who cares? This arrogant Bartender on your books avenue restaurant Took it upon herself to not allow me a five point A d v beer After two stronger beers in almost four hours with a burger and a salad claiming my voice was too loud. Well, guess what?I was watching my nephew playing with the major league baseball team And expostulated my sincere dies Maybe. In a volume of fashion that was unbenunced her... She? Denied me the last point of beer in a four hour period with food That is a $25 purchase.I will never get back and I will never go back!!

Yelp
We just came here for drinks and views because they have a GIANT TELESCOPE OBSERVING DECK! Literally a tiny nasa moment. We got to see Jupiter! So epic. I thought it was cool they don't charge you to look, but they do encourage $5 donations! There was even someone inside the observatory who was educated about what we were viewing! We went in Janurary and although it was busy there was no crazy line to look through the telescope. I'd also encourage that this place is great for big groups. We saw lots of children and family's too. It looked like they had the restaurant side, the bar top, and then a whole other bar and they also have a huge outdoor area with giant fire pits, and a huge stage, you could tell they probably do some super cool stuff in the warmer months?!. We ordered a couple ciders beers and something that was along the lines of an "espresso martini" kind of vibe. They have a list of what beers etc they have at the time as well as a full bar and cocktail menu. We didn't eat but I saw lots of people eating the fish and chips. Our waiter was so kind and constantly checking on us. Will definitely go again while in Bend.

Yelp
2nd visit earns the 5th star! Even though they were out of a few things the food was good, service excellent and atmosphere fun and lively, with a band playing on the patio and lots of seating. We planned this visit to check out the hopservatory upstairs (Fri and Sat evenings 9-11pm, free) and loved the added extra of taking in the high desert nights sky. These guys are firing on all cylinders for sure!

Julie D.

Yelp
On our Bend brewery tour, we stopped for lunch here. Short wait for inside seating since it was 95 degrees outside. Live band was playing outside which attracted people there. The beer and cider were good, we were given some samplers to help us decide what we wanted to drink. The blood orange cider was the crowd favorite. My nachos were covered with real white cheese sauce that made them delicious. The chicken was soft and cooked well. I would order these again. My guy loves a good Reuben sandwich, he said this one was just ok, the meat looked pressed and was not piled high like the waitress said it would be. The salads were good. Overall, good food and ciders, would come back again.

Kennan K.

Yelp
Farm/Nature forward brewery with a scientific flare. Go check out the observatory with one of their local brewed concoctions. They also have a huge event space for concerts and plenty of seating. Very much enjoyed the French dip

Nathan B.

Yelp
Terrible service. Rude waitress. Beer was great. I work in Bend often and it used to be good.

Jim B.

Yelp
Nice place with good beers. Service was a little hit and miss and not that busy. Server was friendly. Ordered steak Fiiata (sp). Small amount of meat and a lot of fries. Building had good atmosphere and very large

Hali O.

Yelp
One of the weirder restaurant experiences I've had. I've been twice, and both times have felt very chaotic both indoors and out. People everywhere, lines for everything, and so many doors and rooms to get lost in. The food I had the first time was good (Reuben and soft pretzel) but the second time wasn't anything special (fish and chips). The beer is good but everything is expensive. Now for the weird part. On our second visit, our server came to take our orders. She complimented my hoodie, and before I could even respond, she launched into her own life story. She stood there and monologued to our table for like 10 minutes while we sat and listened politely. We were there to celebrate a birthday so this wasn't really the entertainment we were looking for. She managed to get almost every order wrong in some way as she was reading it back to us, and went to get drinks. As we took our first sips, she just stood there at the end of the table watching us, then started back on her monologue unprompted. Including how she can't wait for a new job and how bad one of her coworkers smells. I couldn't make this up if I tried. Someone piped up and told her we were just going to hang out as friends and she went away again. This repeated in shorter durations every time she came back to the table, complete with smiling while staring intently at us, and scratching her head violently. The whole thing was very uncomfortable and makes us not want to go back. Which is a shame because it looks like it could be a really cool spot!

kiathompson85 ..

Yelp
Visited here many times over the years. Great service and tasty beers. Vegetarian options are available, and dog friendly patio. One of my favorite breweries around.

Brent K.

Yelp
Great $12 happy hour burger! Highly recommend! Staff is great. Community hang out with lots of room and the bonus is fresh grown veggies onsite!

Jeanne Z.

Yelp
I really like their food and beers. It is nice to have a sit-down brewery option, instead of food-carts being the only food options at other similar Breweries in the area. Their prices seem competitive with comparable-breweries for food and beers. $6 for a pint is pretty good these days! Their service is really good, considering how busy it is. And, in the warmer months they have an in-house huge telescope with an Astronomer that guides the telescope it is really a unique experience!

Ryan M.

Yelp
There was a Bloody Mary Competition about to start when we arrived. We entered in the wrong door as there was confusion about how to get in. We went to the bar to order a drink and were told if we wanted food, we would have to wait and get a table, so we were sent to check in at the front desk receptionist. She put our name down to be seated outside where all the empty tables were, and sent us to the bar if we wanted a drink. We got a drink and were then called to a table outside. Bartender asked us to pay for our drinks before we left to go to our table. Got to our table and ordered food. It came quick and was good. The beer/food were good but the experience was not. Seemed like it was everyone's first day. I'd go elsewhere, if I were back in the area.

Haley W.

Yelp
Came in with my husband and ordered 2 beers and their Pretzel with beer cheese. Pretzel came out looking like it was reheated from a Walmart freezer pack and was only given mustard. When we asked for the beer cheese, the beer tender shouted "Fuck!" and said the cook said they were out. Common Man!

Sheri B.

Yelp
I wrote a review a short while back, and it was the first time I ever rated below a 4. I mean, even if something's not my jam, I'm not out here trying tank. Tried Worthy again, I'm not even mad at the service anymore....when everyone working there looks like they're in a hostage situation, you know something's up with management. Now I just feel bad for the workers.

Sydney T.

Yelp
Super chill ambiance, great concept, great food. What more can you ask for? Good priced burgers and they have non alcoholic beer options. I love their large outdoor seating area and their hopservatory. I'd be here more often if I lived close by.

Siv V.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped in for an awesome dinner and I enjoyed a few great brews. My server gave me a head up that's the happy hour was ending, so I order 4 beer and age was kind enough to bring them out at my convenience. I love Bend Oregon

R P.

Yelp
We were waiting outside when they opened, the manager needs to tell the employees to smile and be welcoming, as we walked in they all looked miserable. Waitress was friendly and we all enjoyed our food. I had the French dip, loved the Sparrow bakery roll! There wasn't a ton of meat in the sandwich seemed a little overpriced. The fry sauce was "off" everyone agreed there was a strange flavor in it.

Richard S.

Yelp
That's fine it's cool I was there so that tells you a lot brussels sprouts very good what oh the wings could add a few flavors to your repertoire yeah that's but don't make fun of me dork

Mehrnaz H.

Yelp
Placed our name on waiting list in advance on the way in. Waited for 20 minutes, party of 4 on a Friday evening around 6:30PM. Ordered the sausage pizza, beet salad and chicken tacos. The pizza was delicious, the crust was tasty, just a wished it was more crispy. The beet salad was amazing and love the fresh ingredients (seems most veggies are grown on-site). My friend loved the tacos and other friend really enjoyed the fish and chips with the sweet potato tots. It was nice and crispy. Can't comment on the beer as I don't drink any, but friends really enjoyed their orders... Service was great as well, and our friendly California transplant server was friendly and attentive. Not sure why this place doesn't have more stars!!!

Tyler M.

Yelp
I have come to Worthy many times with friends and my family and it's always a great experience (especially for a family w/ young kids). Today my 6-year-old son and I came in for a late lunch and we had CARI as our server... SHE WAS AMAZING! She's been our server before and was great then as well. - Even in the indoor seating, it's solid. Awesome when the patio is open! - Very good food and fair pricing, especially on kids' meals, and super especially for Bend. - Solid beer, good ambiance, and the staff are always very friendly, helpful, & professional. Thank you again CARI, you rock! Cheers-

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Great brewery on the Eastside! The most unique part is the observatory, which I haven't been too but it sounds like it's a great place for stargazing. The facility is huge with outdoor/indoor seating, fire pits, etc. The food selection is pretty impressive and they have vegan vegetarian options. I tried the Brussel sprouts which were delicious but could honestly use more of the tasty aioli! The Caesar salad was so lemony and the croutons were crunchy and just to die for!!! The fries were also so good! There weren't a ton of cider options or light beer options, so I think there is more for IPA lovers. Overall great ambiance and there is often live music :)

Jim R.

Yelp
Stopped for a beer and left with a full stomach. Brussel sprout appetizer was cooked perfectly. The Porto tacos were really good, rare when you find tacos this full Of stuff. Rueben sandwich with sweet tater tots was good and big. The Cubano also very good. Did I mention they have great beer?

Jim D.

Yelp
Service was quick and not too difficult to find when we needed something. Poutine was really something we should have not ordered . . . DELICIOUS and we scarfed it up, meaning we couldn't finish our other food. OUR ERROR. Chowder was great, my wife said there was a spice in it she didn't care for, but I ate mine had took hers for a snack later. RUBEN, all the elements were excellent although it could have had a better pickle. French dip was also tasty. She had a cider that was really good (I tasted it also). Cool setting, we may well be back next trip to Bend.

Dawn N.

Yelp
Beer and Cider is excellent. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food looked amazing !

Kristina P.

Yelp
Expensive, but delicious food. My favorite part was the observatory and live music. Don't tell the locals that you're new to the area.

Hallie S.

Yelp
Was seated outside to order from the window where the "bartender" who looked like he was bothered by our presence. Overcharged me for a beer. Desserts were cold and gross tasted like it came from the local 7/11 Only good thing was the many pups and great local band playing

Jean B.

Yelp
Love the food and beer here! The beer can't be beat (try Lights Out Stout) and the menu is varied and carefully prepared. Plus in summer don't miss the garden and chickens outside. Good kids menu, too.

S. Pet M.

Yelp
Beyond not ok. At first all was great took my reservation nice host. Time I waited not bad for my table but omg 1 20 hour waiting for my food 130 pm I got there I left after 3pm my meal had to be brought back because of it being wrong too. Honestly the atmosphere was nice but the wait wtf!!!

James D.

Yelp
Ok, I had the wings:) We were overwhelmed by this place. First impression was, it's huge. Some garden stuff out in the parking lot area, including chickens, garden vegetables and free flowing hops. The digs inside are equally enormous and simply delightful. I took my grandson on a full tour. We even climbed some three stories up to an additional bar area. We saw the fermenting beer tanks, art and some fine details of design/function, a Firestone pizza oven and more. The food was over the top bar/tap house grub that filled the pie hole and imagination. Of course the beer is what put this place in the map but they dress it up well. I raise my glass, tip my hat and loosen my belt buckle to you my friends...truly a destination dine.

George T.

Yelp
The bartender was awesome. Great service. The food was not worth the money. The beer is good. Not great. Cool joint. But very average in a very competitive community for food and beer. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. The service was great.

Noe ..

Yelp
Came here for our first meal upon arriving in Bend, and were happy we did. The space is awesome and looks like it'd be a blast in the summer when the patio and additional seating is open up top. Service was top notch (wish we had gotten the name of the server with the lip piercing), food was solid (cauliflower wings and French dip), and beer was worth the trip alone (did the flight). Plus, all types of people were enjoying their meal there, from little kiddos to older couples. Put this on your radar if you're looking for a good, laid-back dining or drinking experience.

David A.

Yelp
Great beer Great Beer Great Service. Outdoor seating is pet friendly. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Scott N.

Yelp
Service was poor (I ended up going to get my own water and to-go containers from the servers station and no one even noticed). Food took forever and wasn't anything to write home about. The live music was nice but did make people dining inside have to yell to communicate.

Peyton K.

Yelp
So, what you will love about Worthy is their cause and everything they do to protect the earth and raise money for those in need. For example, they did a fundraiser for Maui recently. You'll also love the atmosphere. Sometimes you'll love the bands that play, but not always. Unfortunately, their food has declined significantly. My girlfriend and I have been here twice in the last month and it has been pretty bad each time. I ordered a burger medium and it was well done (I accept this because the taste was still okay, though obviously medium would have more flavor). She ordered the chalula chicken sandwich of which was entirely overcooked and dry. She ate half of this $15 sandwich. Previously, I ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch sando. Beware that this mixture listed on the menu comes at you cold. I actually found it to be better heated up the next day. The service is still decent when you get it, this is waitress dependent. When visiting during the week, you'll be unlikely to have any service outside. Therefore, the suggested solution is to order take out and grab a table outside. Not sure if this was due to staffing or just the smoke. When you are served outside, it feels short staffed, but also seems a larger party will get more attention. I'd also anticipate waiting for a mixed drink for over 15 minutes or so. This has become one of those "better order while she's here" even if you have over half of your first drink still. I hate to say that Worthy has been disappointing us. They used to have delicious food and everyone from the hospital would meet up here after a long day of work to have great food and beer. Now we will only be going for the beer if we go at all. The strata hops provided in their beers are a saving grace and unique from other breweries. However, without the food being worth the $15-$20 you spend on it, it may just drive away customers.

Tony G.

Yelp
The facility is awesome, and the beers are great. The food on the Other hand is like most places too salty and not healthy. I would recommend improving the pizza crust, better cheese and less salt and sugar. If this is the case ,this place can be tip notch. The salt and vinegar wings were great, just a tad bit too salty. Try the place out and let me know what you think.

Doug F.

Yelp
Only giving a one start cause it won't let me give 0. Went in on Sunday night and it was dead. 10 guests at most. Our server was great very attentive and kind. When we finally got our food they had forgotten my wings. 10 minutes later my wings show up and on the second wing I bite in to was raw. Picked a few more apart and they are raw too. The solution that worthy gave was $4 off a $103 tab. This restaurant is a joke. PS. Their beer sucks too

Jana W.

Yelp
We meet here as a family often. It's a wonderful place to relax, enjoy good food, good service, and great beer.

Amanda D.

Yelp
First off, my husband and I have gone to Worthy countless times over the years & we have always loved it. That was until today. Our server sat down next to me to take our order and I could visibly see multiple bugs crawling through her hair. As she walked away she was scratching away at her scalp. I went to the manager and let them know. I didn't want to embarrass our server or to make a scene. Clearly it's not ok for her to be handling or serving food. It's a sanitary issue. She disappeared for a little while, our food was served to us by another. The food was not even close to the quality we have come to know over the years. A lot of it seemed as though it was from a frozen bag. Very disappointing. Then as we were leaving our original server came out from the kitchen and was walking about and wiping down tables. Simply not ok. This was one our favorite places to come in Bend and sad to say we won't be back.

Juan O.

Yelp
Awesome food and variety of beers. Fun atmosphere. There was a live band playing music. Great service.

Eric S.

Yelp
Hard to tell if this place is good/bad from the recent reviews so I decided to check it out for myself. I did a morning hike along the Green Lakes trail, so I was famished by noon. I went here because it's within walking distance to the local Hilton (at which I had some odd experiences...read my review). Beer good. Food good. Service good!

Pat C.

Yelp
Okay. Father's Day. Still, an hour wait after they sat us to finally order a beer and food and another hour to finally get food. Nice place but they need to step up service.

Irving L.

Yelp
Worthy is self sustainable! How awesome is that! This was my first time at Worthy and there was a lot to take in. First, the layout of the restaurant is very unique. We ate outside where they had a grass area and a stage where bands play. They had a couple of fire pits outside and I thought it was nice. They had picnic style benches and my party of 5 fit very comfortably. The beer selection was stronger than what I've normally seen. I wanted something light but almost all of the beer was over 5% and an IPA. I managed to find a mango IPA that was 3.5% and I enjoyed it. The aroma of mango came threw perfectly and the taste of fruit was very subtle with a well balanced taste of the hops. Overall the food was good. The smokehouse pizza was tasty and the crust was enjoyable all the way through. This was big enough to share. The Jalapeño Mac was creamy and hit the spot. They used fresh jalapeño that lacked heat but still paired well with the savory bacon. The bread crumb topping was a very nice addition. The Magic Bus Burger was a dance of flavors, pairing sweet and savory. They messed up the temps for everyone's burger and cooked them all well done and dry, but luckily this burger had enough toppings to still finish it. The fries were very tasty and delicious. I had a good time here with friends and I would come back if my friends wanted to but it didn't have many options for a light beer drinker like myself.

Kara R.

Yelp
Waited a really long time for a table. Then waited a really long time for our food. Was very specific on what we wanted on our burgers and they were both wrong. Didn't have napkins or silverware at our table so we had to steal some from the table next to us. Won't eat here again.

Paul M.

Yelp
Great Food and Drinks. Don't know what more you need. Had their brisket dip and seafood chowder. So good!

Amy B.

Yelp
Food was wonderful. They were super busy but our server was amazing. Love the observatory

Shawn B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere as you can see the brewery and operations. The food is amazing and beer is amazing

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Perfectly baked pretzel - golden in the bottom. Yummy stout as well!! Great service - relaxed atmosphere
