The Best Restaurants In Bentonville

"Wright’s does darn good Arkansas BBQ. In other words, you'll find lots of smoked pork and several bearded men massaging said smoked meat behind a counter. Order the three meat plate with brisket, burnt ends, and ribs to see how all that rubbing paid off. The brisket is juicy and tender, and their bacon burnt ends start salty before dissolving like a magic trick. We also love their collard greens with bits of pork, and the jalapeño ranch sauce is a nice change of pace from the main spicy, bold, and original BBQ sauce options. The Bentonville location is right by the Slaughter Pen Trail (maybe a bit on the nose), so come for a post-ride lunch under a big red umbrella. There are only three booths inside, so if it looks like rain, get there early. " - ryan bernsten

First time dinner, and being from Memphis I think they did a great job! I just wasn’t a fan of the sauces. The sweet was too sweet, tasted like jelly. I wish the bold, wasn’t so spicy. And the hot was delicious but not as spicy as the bold! We had pulled pork, and pulled pork sandwiches. Sides: greens, shells and cheese, baked beans, deviled egg potato salad and a pint of banana pudding. After eating all that we were stuffed, uncomfortably so. We ate out front on the picnic tables on the deck. It was actually cooler outside than inside. My only concern is that my parents being octogenarians had difficulty carrying their trays with drinks. I stepped-up of course, but the struggle was real. They were busy behind the counter but no assistance was offered and it was almost a calamity.

Google
A fantastic “Down-the-line” experience with patient service, quick and prices that are absolutely reasonable for fresh steakhouse food. Anyone visiting the area should definitely give this place a look and try! They offer in house bbq sauce, indoor and outdoor seating, and the meat is so tender and melts like butter! A high recommendation! I had the brisket sandwich and mac&cheese and they were delicious! Everyone at the table absolutely enjoyed it and are full! Thank y’all for the experience!

Google
Perfectly located right at the entrance of the slaughter pen trails and next to crystal gardens path. The place is small with lots of outside seating. It's a delightful style ordering line. You get in line order your main dish and move tonthe front and add your sides and drinks. The staff was amazing very helpful. The sitting outside was casual seat yourself. Staff brought us out our food. We both had smash brisket burgers with coleslaw. First the coleslaw was creamy and fresh very good! The smash burgers where well absolutely amazing, best burgers. A couple other highlights the picked red onions to die for and the homemade ranch!!! This place was so yummy and high-quality we ate again today and ordered the same thing. This is a must stop don't miss high quality comfort food/ big appetite type of unique stop

Google
From Texas, so I have tried a lot of BBQ. Pros: great location, near downtown right across from park and bike trails. Good selection on the menu Lots of outside seating Friendly staff Food was really good. Brisket had good smoke ring and flavor. Not the best, but up there with the best. Cons: Small indoor seating area and tight space. Soda is only by the can instead of the machine. Didn’t offer bread Small dessert menu They were out of the roasted sweet potatoes, but it was a Saturday night. This is a good place overall if you are seeking BBQ in NWA. A must try

Google
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this barbecue spot, and it was an unforgettable experience. The smoked brisket was hands down the best I've ever had—tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked. The sausage was equally incredible. What truly made the experience exceptional was the customer service. The staff went above and beyond, offering me great food suggestions since I'm from out of state. Every recommendation they made was spot on. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and try it out!

Google
Growing up in Texas BBQ is a religion, and living in Bastrop close to the sausage capital of Texas Elgin I feel like I can speak confidently about BBQ and I was impressed! I ordered brisket moist (ifyky and believe me not everyone does!) It was perfect, fatty, and with a beautifully seasoned smoke ring. Both the original and jalepeno sausage were great with juicy finely ground center and snappy skin. I like my BBQ meats un sauced but I got a spicy BBQ on the side and took my brisket for a few dips. The sauce was tangy and definitely spicy enough for my Cajun heart. 10 out 10 recommend and not just good for Arkansas but just dang good BBQ all around!

Google
First time trying wrights, and everything we had was great. We tried the pumba and pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw and Mac and cheese. It was all good. 3 selections of bbq sauces, all good. Nice patio outside too enjoy the weather.

Google
Seriously incredible BBQ! The ranch potato salad is the best I’ve ever had. Ribs and brisket were tender and flavorful!

Yelp
This was, by far, the most memorable food we had during our week-long trip to Bentonville. I think this might be my only must-stop food of the trip for any meat eaters. I got the pulled pork sandwich with chips and a coke. The pulled pork was exactly what pulled pork should be - tender, juicy, full of flavor. I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces, but the meat was so perfectly done that you didn't really even need any sauce. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. I wish they would do something about all of the flies outside. That seems like a little bit of a health-code hazard waiting to happen. If I ever find myself back in Bentonville, this is one place I would go out of my way to stop at.

Yelp
THE best BBQ in Northwest Arkansas!!! 2 meat plate is the best deal. Pro tip - get brisket 1/2 lean 1/2 fatty, pulled pork, Mac & cheese, & collard greens. It can be enough for 2 people or 1 person who wants to be in the best food coma afterwards. Despite a long line even before 11:30 AM, the service moves quickly. One of the managers even stops by all the tables to check how your experience was! Comfortable seating in the booths & plenty of space for everyone's trays of food.

Yelp
We are not from around here but needed dinner. Omg it didn't disappoint. So good. They were out of chicken and turkey so I had the pork instead. It was so tender, juicy and tasty! My husband had the brisket and really enjoyed it as well. The honey butter green beans were legit. The mashed potatoes were tasty too. The sweet sauce and the spicy sauce were okay, the bold is where it's at though. It is a vinegar base so if you want more of a tomato base then hopefully you will like the other two sauces, which are more of a classic tomato based bbq sauce. The service was quick and friendly. We ate outside, the flies were annoying but it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the quiet neighborhood and watch the bikes go by. I'm not sure that this is a gluten free establishment, I didn't ask or say anything , but the place they cut the meat is also where they assemble sandwiches and use the same gloves. I do not have gastrointestinal problems with gluten, just neurological problems and I did not have any symptoms so the contamination was minimal for me. Maybe if you ask they can accommodate. When we come back to Bentonville, we will definitely stop here again!

Yelp
We came for lunch on Friday afternoon around noon. There was little to no line when we arrived and the guys behind the counter were super friendly. I got the smoked chicken plate with roasted sweet potato and collard greens and my husband got the two meat plated with smoked turkey, cheddar jalapeño sausage, shell and cheese and green beans. I thought the smoked chicken was pretty outstanding but didn't really enjoy the turkey or the sausage. The shells and cheese were also just ok for me. The restaurant itself is pretty small but it was a beautiful day to sit on the porch for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed Wright's Barbecue and would highly recommend it. There was a short line when we arrived but it moved fast. They have a decent amount of seating in the front and back of the restaurant. Everyone in our group really enjoyed everything they got, so I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely worth the stop if you're in Bentonville!

Yelp
YUMMY YUMMY BBQ! Great service and nice vibez! Beware there are a lot of flies if you decide to sit outside. The brisket was by far our favorite. It was so soft melt in your mouth and flavorful. Brisket Burger (4/5) The potato bun was good and soft but I don't think it adds much to it...but if you want some bread with your brisket go for it. Probably would have been better if they actually toasted the bun and included some special toppings for the burger. Brisket (5/5) Cheddar Jalapeno Sausage (4/5) so flavor and juicy Pulled Pork (3.5/5) kinda dry Ribs (4/5) fall off the bone!! Side: Macaroni Shell (3.8/5) Mash Potatoes (4/5) Collard Greens (4/5) Got the 3 Meat Plate + Brisket Burger + Cider. It was about $60 including tax tip.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday and unfortunately were told that most meats were sold out. I only got to try the smoked chicken, and it was excellent. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. The sides were also delicious. The green beans were my favorite. It's sweet and flavorful. I recommend coming early before they run out. The restaurant has outdoor seating.
google avatar

Stacy W.

Yelp
Service was amazing and the food was great! One thing was that the brisket was a bit too dry but other than that, everything else was fantastic!bacon burnt ends with the jalapeño cilantro sauce was on point
google avatar

Bryon M.

Yelp
Good BBQ joint, right by my hotel. No wait when I got there. A lot of staff to assist and to put together your meal. The menu is handwritten on some paper and taped all around. Typical offerings. You order at the counter and then grab a table. I went with the 2 meat plate of brisket and the bacon wrapped burnt ends. And for sides I got the man & cheese and the smoked beans. Everything was pretty good. The meats were tender. Some parts just melted in your mouth. The smoked beans were spot on. Mac & cheese could have been a little creamier, and I could have added some pepper, but it hit the spot. Now, if they would have had cornbread, I would have been a really happy camper. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Wrights is a staple of NWA. The bentonville location is my favorite due to the staff. They are friendly and always seem like they are having fun. Great pulled pork nachos, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, potato salad, and smoked turkey. Most people get the brisket, which is wonderful, but don't sleep on the turkey and chicken.
google avatar

Christy S.

Yelp
So, we are visiting town and ate at the Rogers location yesterday, and we liked it so much, we tried the Bentonville location today. Same great meats and sides, but less seating. We found several open tables behind the to go order building; they are a bit hidden. It was a game day in Fayetteville, so there was a long line at the main building. So rather than wait in line, I placed a to go order online, and we picked it up from the to go/online ordering building. It saved some time, and everything was delicious!

Yelp
Wright's Barbecue. If there ever was a place that a BBQ aficionado could feel right at home, it's Wright's. You don't come here to eat BBQ. You come here to experience Wright's BBQ. They treat you like family and make you feel welcomed if you are a first timer. How to order? Take a look at the menu inside but don't fret there's another menu near the ordering station. You'll get to meet the person who will hand cut you BBQ right in front of you. They'll ask you what you want so don't be afraid to make your preferences known. Be sure to consider sides, and if you are feeling lighter ask for a salad. I can't express how good the brisket tasted. It's like I died and went to brisket heaven. So tender. Flavorful. And it cut like a knife thru butter. Go out of your way and get to Wright's. It's a small spot with indoor and outdoor patio seating. In other words a perfect spot to enjoy yourself and company. The ambiance is perfect for meat lovers and BBQ seekers.

Yelp
One of those places I have to weigh cost and value.....went there for dinner the other night with my wife. She had the brisket, and I had the 2 meat plate (brisket and sausage). For $48 she got a giant fat cap in her brisket, which was a definite turn off. I was pleased with mine, but felt the cost was more than what was delivered. Staff was friendly and courteous, and the spicy bbq sauce was to die for. Also collared greens were very very salty.
google avatar

Jordan C.

Yelp
Did not disappoint. Best BBQ I've had in years. Starting with the service, everyone was friendly and helpful. We went early to avoid a crowd and could take our time ordering. We ate outside which was nice, and they have heaters. My co-worker and I ordered a 3 meat combo, and a 2 meat combo. I opted for brisket, pulled pork, pickles, bread, and my sides were coleslaw and beans. Everything was top notch, great brisket, great pork, all the sides were good. My co-worker got brisket, sausage, and pork ribs. I tried her food too, was great. I enjoyed all 3 BBQ sauces: Regular, Bold, Spicy. Would return most certainly. No notes. Also tried a Yuengling beer for the first time, really good.
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
What a well run operation. Was expensive but you get quality that matches or surpasses that high cost. Was perfection from the bark on all the meats to the tenderness of the ribs, beef rib, bacon burnt ends, and brisket. Best damn potato salad I've ever had. Was slammed but moved quickly. Great meal!
google avatar

Brandy M.

Yelp
Food is definitely not worth the price. For two plates at $65 I would expect more than just two rib bones as one of the meats. The price that was charged and what was given didn't match what the menu shows. The chicken was very dry and not very tasteful. Someone else got the brisket and there was more fat than meat in the portion that was given. I was shocked that they would even serve the brisket with it obviously being 90% fat in the pieces that were plated. The coleslaw was good
google avatar

Yelp
About the best BBQ in town! Great ribs and brisket, bacon burnt ends, it's all great! Try the Texas Trinity (Brisket. Ribs and sausage), or a BBQ bowl for something different! They also have a location in Rogers.

Daniel H.

Yelp
I gotta say this place has some great BBQ. Just my opinion but they have the best brisket I have ever had period. The guys that plate your foods are super nice.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
Excellent bbq! Stopped by the Saturday farmers market in town and a local vendor said to not miss this bbq. It was phenomenal. Very tasty!
google avatar

Shahan A.

Yelp
Year later, food is still good, but ordering inside is confusing. Got the brisket burger, but wasn't sure when to tell them my toppings, and they didn't ask either. Suddenly they were already boxing my food up. Also hard to hear them sometimes. Anyway, still got some pickles and jalapeño ranch, so at least it wasn't just bread+meat. Cheese shells were also good, but as the name implies, REALLY cheesy. Price is a tad high - $15 for a simple burger, side, and drink. Would've felt better if it was a few bucks cheaper, but whatever, I was treating myself anyway. Again they don't give you utensils for whatever reason.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken, green beans with honey butter and Alabama BBQ sauce. Great service.
google avatar

Terry S.

Yelp
The food was excellent!! Hands down the best BBQ in NWA by far. The brisket is superior to anywhere else in the state!
google avatar

austin m.

Yelp
All the sides are great. The ribs and pork burnt ends were not worth eating. So dry and chewy. No moisture whatsoever. The sliced brisket was tender and moist though.
google avatar

Sam C.

Yelp
Drove there to get dinner to go for the family after the fair and made it at 8:33, they closed at 9. Guy said they were closed and couldn't even do to go. Door was open and people were still eating on the patio. Wrights is my favorite food place period and it's super disappointing.
google avatar

Demi N.

Yelp
Wright's BBQ is awesome! We ordered their jalapeño sausage, brisket, and turkey. The meats were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. And let's not forget about the sides - because they deserve their own spotlight. The shells & cheese were downright amazing; creamy, cheesy, and comforting. The mashed potato salad, a clever twist on the classic, was a delightful surprise. The staff at Wright's were as warm as the BBQ was hot. Their friendly and welcoming attitude added to the overall great experience. Yes, the place might be a bit on the smaller side, but don't let that deter you. There was still enough room to find a spot to sit. For anyone in Bentonville or passing through, make Wright's a must-stop for a genuine BBQ experience. You won't regret it!
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
Wrights BBQ is fantastic, and I'm not even a BBQ fan. Their brisket is AMAZING! I like to get some of the lean side and some fat for premium taste!!! I also love their Mac and cheese, sure it's like velveeta shells and cheese but it's delish! I also like that as a side you can get salad, which I always do, it's very basic, but good to have leafy greens! Sometimes the have beef ribs, and those are wonderful as well. Those are my go to's but I don't think you can go wrong with any of their food!
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Having read amazing reviews about the place we did the 2 hour trek from home to check it out. Place was cute, limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas which was perfect as it was drizzling. Was a small line of people inside, we were there about 630pm and they closed at 8pm, was worried they would be sold out of things but they had plenty of everything. I ordered a 3 meat platter with brisket, turkey & burnt ends with potato salad and smoked beans, my spouse had the same except with jalapeño cheddar link and sweet potatoes. Maybe we are spoilt with choice but my first impression was I thought the portions seemed miserable, never seen a scale right on the counter, only got 1 slice of brisket and 1 slice of turkey and 4 burnt ends. By the time we got checked out and got to table the meats were cold. I enjoyed the brisket, was very juicy. Burnt ends were yummy too. Turkey was dry and thin. Potato salad was a bit dilly for my liking, smoked beans were delicious. Jalapeño cheddar sausage was cold but tasted ok. Sweet potato was roasted but kinda dry. 2 of the 3 meat platters with drinks and tip was $80 which seems expensive to me for average bbq food. Staff were friendly and hospitable.
google avatar

Tanica B.

Yelp
The absolute best BBQ I think I've ever had! Definitely the best collared greens. Everything was seasoned perfectly and just melted in our mouths. This was the bacon burnt ends, Mac n cheese and collard greens. We'll definitely be back and will pick up some of their sauce. Everything was delicious.
google avatar

Eric A.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I came at 4 in the afternoon so not much of a crowd but the food was fresh and AMAZING! I've owned a bbq restaurant, I've done bbq competitions and I've had bbq all over America. This is as good as I've had anywhere. Top notch for sure. Friendly staff, and cool outdoor seating area. Only downside is parking is limited as is the seating. I'm sure it gets pretty crowded at peak times. But, worth it.
google avatar

Kendra G.

Yelp
We walked over for lunch right near our hotel. The line was long, but worth the wait. Could hardly decide what to order! Split the two meat plate w/ extra side & banana pudding. Meats: brisket (asked for it to be chopped) & ribs. Sides: ranch potato salad, creamy coleslaw, and collard greens. (I really wanted to try the mac n' cheese too!) Everything was delicious - no complaints. (And I was admittedly skeptical of Texas BBQ in AK as a Texan.) the meats and sides were very flavorful. If I had to pass on one of the sides it would have been the slaw, but not because it wasn't good, just because the greens and potato salad were must-tries. PLENTY of food. Don't skip on the homemade style pudding. My only frustration was the invisible to-go order line. We waited at least 30 minutes in line, had one couple in front of us, then were stopped for 10 minutes while they made to-go orders. Don't have a solution, but definitely a recommendation for improvement as a visiting customer.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
The Bacon Burnt Ends were amazing, the collard greens were the best both me and my wife have ever had and we both love collards. The Mac and cheese was average. The line was long we with good reason. A must try for sure!

Tanya W.

Yelp
Very busy place and rightfully so! Food is amazing - best BBQ I have had in the state. You will not regret a trip here.
google avatar

Nikhil S.

Yelp
What can I say about this classic! Recently moved to this area and heard a lot about this place. I stopped by with few of my colleagues during the lunch time on a weekday. There is parking in the front. The place was decently packed. We sat on the outdoor patio. I tried the brisket plate with some ribs and coleslaw on the side. It came with couple of burnt ends as well. Brisket was perfectly made and it was delicious and super tender. Burnt ends were amazing and wish I had more. Ribs were good but I had better ones. Coleslaw were creamy and was a great complement to all the meat I had. Overall, brisket was the highlight of my visit. Can't wait to visit again. Definitely recommended!!
google avatar

Rach D.

Yelp
Wow!!!!!! Just wow. This place is SO good, long line when we walked in but they moved through the line very quickly (also tells you how good it is how busy it is)! Super affordable, BBQ sauce and paper towels on the table felt very homey. Love love love. Will be back. The best pulled pork I've had. Sweet potato was cooked perfectly. Beans were very flavorful and not too sweet!
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
I have been to about 30% of Texas top 50 BBQ restaurants. That being said I would put Wrights as a top 5 all time for me. This place is great. Loved it. Highly recommend the banana pudding as well. Amazing food.

Ila W.

Yelp
I've only had carry-out. Some friends were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and got Carry-Out from Wright's BBQ. Their daughter and daughter-in-law made all the sides (mostly various salads) for the luncheon. It was ALL super delicious. I've only recently become aware that Wright's is now in Bentonville also. Can't wait to try it again!!!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
First off I have very high standards for BBQ. This local fav in Bentonville area was a great hit for our fam. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw as my side. Pork was great! Sauce is very interesting more on the sweet side. Coleslaw was on point! My kids and husband enjoyed pulled pork and Mac and cheese as their side and they were very happy. Line moves fast and seating is outside.
google avatar

Carlos E.

Yelp
Burnt ends, sausages, and brisket were good. Couldn't try the ribs because they were out of it. Seating is nice if you're tall. If you're short you might feel the tables a little high. Service was super friendly.
google avatar

Laurie D.

Yelp
Melt in your mouth brisket, great service, nice outside seating as well as inside. Great place to stop for a meal adjacent to the Razorback Greenway.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Wow, Wow, WOW is all we can say! This was our first visit to Wright's but it won't be our last when in the area. The food was the best tasting Barbeque we have had in a very long time. It even beat the taste and service of our favorite Alabama BBQ. They are doing something right when the orders and people kept coming in. The service was extraordinary considering they had a large order to fill before they got to us. The guys doing the meat cutting, the sides and the register had the system down to a T! They kept the orders flowing and people were happy. Thankfully we were able to see the different meats and sides before we ordered. I had the Texas Trinity (bbq, brisket [chopped for me] and jalapeño cheese sausage) and it was a delicious combination. The sauce was so tasty and did not have a lot of heat and bite that others have. My wife had the brisket (sliced) with collard greens. The greens were the best she (grew up in the south) had ever tasted and I agreed. The location is excellent even though the auto parking is somewhat limited, the bike riders had easy access and there were many the day we visited. There are 'Fat Tire' bikes sold and rode around the parks and streets. We loved this BBQ and the restaurant was very well managed, clean and well maintained.

Ron B.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Wright's Barbecue. I picked up my order to go, it was ready when I got there, it was warm when I got home and everything was there. Thanks Wright's for a delicious dinner
google avatar

Mollie H.

Yelp
We picked up food to go and it was awesome. The brisket and ribs were so tasty. The mashed potatoes and smoky beans were so delicious. Would recommend!!!
google avatar

Tim R.

Yelp
Food is outstanding, have to get the burnt ends! Great outside seating for nice weather.

Alan T.

Yelp
Great tasting food, ample serving size, Great serving crew! Tried several different platers, not a bad one yet. The brisket is perfectly marbled. We will be back!
google avatar

Glenn M.

Yelp
We were biking the Razorback Greenway. It came into the downtown area right at this restaurant. It looked and smelled very good. You get in line and order from the dude that is cutting and chopping the meat. We shared a brisket plate with beans and a sweet potato. It was plenty for two of us and so tasty! The brisket had a great flavor and the smoked beans were delicious.
google avatar

Renee C.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! Probably the best BBQ I've ever had. Friendly service and eclectic atmosphere.
google avatar

Christopher J.

Yelp
In town for a family reunion and decided to try out Wright's for an early dinner. The brisket was amazing - the bacon burnt ends tasty, but very rich. Potato salad uses ranch dressing as an ingredient and is so good! Local craft beers available. Only concern is the lack of indoor seating. Lots of tables outside, but in 95 degree weather, we were luck to grab one of the three tables inside.
google avatar

Crystal T.

Yelp
Good customer service is always at the top of my list and the customer service here was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful for our first visit(and the next day when we returned it felt like we were friends lol). The turkey was recommended and it did not disappoint. Choosing a side was difficult because they all sounded delicious but i went with the mac n cheese, which was very good, and their honey butter green beans, which were amazing. I did also taste the mashed potatoes and smoked beans which were also very good. While the food was delicious, the friendly staff made the overall experience that much better. Highly recommend:)

Yelp
This review is the Roger's location that is down the street from AMP. Could not find that location on YELP so posting here Overall (A) It's really good, knocks it out of the park. If you are visiting or a local come here for some great bbq. Service (A) The staff is super friendly and nice. Great fast friendly customer service. Took my team for dinner and the GM was so kind and nice that he gave us a tour of the smokers and taught us about the process. It was awesome. We had a bit of a line and they kept things moving. Quality (A) Melt in your mouth brisket. Get the brisket. I have had brisket in Texas, KC, Florida, Carolinas - this is the best. It's really really good. All of the food is really good. You can tell that they take time to do it right. Second best were the ribs and then pulled pork and the sausage. All were really good. The baked beans are an excellent side. Value (A) For this high quality bbq - it's a good value. You get plenty of food and it this economy the prices are not outrageous and feel about right for the quantity and quality. Just go and try it - you will be impressed.
