We had a lovely dinner at Written by The Seasons to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and locally sourced and it really tasted like a home-cooked meal elevated with finesse. We started with the sourdough and the carrot muhammara—both were fantastic. The muhammara especially stood out with its creamy texture and flavorful mix of tahini, walnuts, and olives. The grilled lamb T-bone was perfectly cooked and came with vibrant spring vegetables and a fresh mint pistou. Definitely a highlight. NY strip and Kimchi pancakes are great as well. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel warm and special. Highly recommend for a memorable, seasonal dining experience.

The kimchi pancakes are a popular dish and a lot of people really like them (myself included). We got the carrot muhammara, kimchi pancakes and the mushroom plate as appetizers. The muhammara with the pancakes was actually a good combo. I was surprised at how amazing the mushrooms were as well. My husband got the duck confit for his main and was very happy with it. I got the steak, medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The outside was crispy and the inside pink. We did end up asking for some salt and that elevated the brussels sprouts for me (I like things salty). The only thing my husband and I were not a fan of was the mashed potatoes. They had a creamy gravy mixed in and it wasn't a flavor we personally prefer. Overall, I think the appetizers were very good and I could easily have an entire meal of just the apps. At the end of the meal we were both very full and took most of our main course to go. Service: The staff was very attentive, knowledgable, and professional. The chef asks that all the food (except dessert) be ordered at one time and they will space it out when they bring it to you. I like this system, it made the experience much more effortless. Although, I think they are still figuring out the flow and pace of the customers because at times there was not enough space on our table for all the appetizers and they were trying to help us clear off mostly empty plates so that felt slightly rushed but I think it's something they will nail down soon. Atmosphere: I love the interior. It's cozy and has big windows. The furnishings are cool. I am a fan of the design. We did notice that some of the tables for two (like where we were seated) were very close to the other tables (so you can easily hear each other's conversations) if that is something that bothers you it may be a good idea to request different seating. It was not a problem for us as we were not discussing private matters but I wouldn't want to sit there for a first date or a business meeting. Parking: They have valet and cover the cost of this, so parking was not a problem.

I love this place! It’s going to be to be packed with foodies real soon because of the variety in flavor combinations. The simple way of putting it is the change it up! No dish is typical flavors dance around each other. Service is absolutely spot on. Every server helps the other. I’m definitely going back because the menu will be changing for the season. Also it was my birthday and they took care of me. Loved it!!!

Written by the Seasons always impresses me. Their dishes reflect a genuine care for their customers, and every menu item is a standout. You can taste the chefs' extensive travels and experiences in each thoughtful plate. The hamachi collars were amazingly delicious. The service was exceptionally attentive.

A coworker recommended this spot and since it was within walking distance, I had to try it. I’m so glad I did. It did not disappoint. The food tasted incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. This place is perfect for a date night. The attention to detail really made the evening feel special. Go around sunset or after dark. The open layout and ambient lighting create a great vibe. Our waiter Sam was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely come back with friends and family.

The concept of small and large plates made a family-style meal amongst us perfect. We secured a reservation on a busy Saturday, but did need to book 2 weeks in advance. The atmosphere is so sultry and warm. Each dish was a mind-blowing creation of pure deliciousness and color. What truly made our time there incredible was our server Rory. He really made our experience top notch! We cannot recommend Rory enough if you get the privilege of having him.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere. It’s a great place to share a bunch of plates to try more of the menu. The cocktails were great especially the spicy margarita. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and I was able to call on a Friday night and get a large group in without a reservation but it’d be better to get one if you can.

Amazing experience! We had been to the Bishop Arts location and this one we love! Big shoutout to Tony, Bailey and Juan! Wonderful service, everyone was on top of it making sure we had everything we needed and making recommendations. Love the seasonal menu, we went the last day of their winter menu and can’t wait to be back for their new spring menu! From the focaccia, to the pork chops, to the pavlova and our drinks, everything was delicious! We will be back! Enjoyed the patio!

Yelp
I am so thrilled WBTS opened in uptown. This is very much one of those places, if you know, you know. The food is such a great quality, the people are friendly and they did an amazing job with the design. This location feels like the older sibling to the Bishop Arts location, the bar centering the room, the red marble throughout, the low lighting it's so romantic and vibey. Definitely a local spot to stop by for happy hour or a great option for a nice date! The food is all amazing, it does change so I'd trust the team to point you in the right direction!

Yelp
This was a long awaited visit to Written by the Seasons at the Quad! The service was just how I like it...a lot of attention to detail. For dinner, I enjoyed the Dayboat Scallops. The savory scallops with the sweet potato puree and roasted squash was a sweet and savory combo that I literally seek for my special meals. The guava cheesecake traveled well as a to-go item. Welcome to the neighborhood WbtS! Cheers!

Yelp
I was so excited to try this suggested Michelin restaurant. The food and the atmosphere was amazing. The service was on point as well. The pork belly was mind blowing. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Great experience from the appetizers to the entrees. Had the duck for my entree and it was cooked perfectly, crispy skin and moist! Service was friendly and attentive. Prefect for date night or just because you want to treat yourself to a good meal with great ambience!

Yelp
Great new chef-driven spot in Uptown. It's a beautiful restaurant with beautiful food and impeccable service. We loved the kimchi pancakes and the ribeye. Going back this week!

Yelp
Sat on the patio with a friend and had the blood orange marg, cabbage dish, and buratta. The food and drinks were amazing. We switched to wine and were in love with the fabulous stemware. Although we enjoyed beautiful weather on the patio, the interior was romantic and a great vibe. We made fast friends with many of the staff - Adrien and Audrey are two names I recall, but everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I look forward to coming back to this uptown location very soon, and checking out alllll the stemware :)

Yelp
Truly a gem of a restaurant! This brand new location at the Quad in uptown Dallas is phenomenal!! Every bite was delicious, and I can't wait to try the menu for next season! Excellent service from Sam and Audrey! The music and lighting were absolutely perfect as well! I cannot wait until my next visit! I highly recommend the Duck Confit, it's absolutely resplendent.
