This cathedral is a stunning Gothic landmark in the heart of Ostrów Tumski. It offers breathtaking city views from its observation deck and a beautifully restored interior with intricate chapels and stained glass 🙌

❤️😇 The St. John the Baptist Archcathedral is the seat of the Archdiocese of Wrocław and a landmark of the city of Wrocław in Poland. The cathedral, located in the Cathedral Island, is a Gothic church with Neo-Gothic additions. The current standing cathedral is the fourth church to have been built on the site.

Beautiful Polish-built Church by Bolesław I the Brave, the first crowned king of Poland, around 1000 AD. I wish they would update their website and announcements outside more often.

Apparently, there is an underground crypt and a baroque style museum inside, but it was closed after 5pm. The church was a bit more ornate than others around here. There's a bit more to see as well. It's free. The choir was singing in the background. It's surrounded by a small park in the back, which was nice. Made out of bricks.

The Cathedral of St John The Baptist was built around 1272-1341 and is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in Wrocław. It’s twin towers soar an impressive 98 metres into the air and are an intertwined part of Wrocław’s skyline. The facade is magnificent and the interior is a work of art , it’s a stunning cathedral. The towers are open for climbing and the views are spectacular. Visiting Ostrów Tumski is a must while in Wroclaw. The sheer amount of history and architectural wonders is stunning.
