"Fast expanding xiao long bao go-to restaurant Wu Wei Din has its roots in Plano. Go straight to the dumpling and wonton section of the menu and take your pick. Other Taiwanese favorites such as the national dish, beef noodle soup, and street food snacks like popcorn chicken and scallion pancakes, are also solid choices. Expect a second Plano location on 15th Street later in 2024." - Didi Paterno, Courtney E. Smith

"We didn’t have much time to eat out in 2022 because I was busy opening Beatrice, but I made time for Ari Korean BBQ, Wu Wei Din, Thuy Nguyen Cafe for pho and banh xeo, and PTT for spring rolls, Pate Chaud, and Hu Tieu." - Courtney E. Smith

"The wontons and dumplings at Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine are very traditional. Fans of spicy food and soup dumplings have discovered this gem in Plano and are particularly fond of the spicy pork wontons and xiao long bao, or soup dumplings." - Rachel Pinn

The cucumber salad and golden kimchi is must try appetizers perfect to start of the meal, very refreshing. Scallion pancake was really crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Soup dumpling was delicious and the sauce it came with was really good as well, it had sliced ginger in the sauce. Every dish was good and definitely will come back for more food.

The preserved egg and tofu was light and refreshing. The sauce was missing a little tang for me. The pork soup dumplings were mad fresh. They were soupy and the skin was thin. The golden garlic beef was very good. The pork chop on the pork chop rice was tender but not crispy like what I’m use to. It’s still very good with a 5 spice flavor. Everything was good and I’ll be back.

The beef noodle soup has always been a favorite of mine since I started coming eight years ago. Wu Wei Din consistently serves excellent Taiwanese dishes, and while the flavors are definitely enjoyable, they don’t always feel the most authentic compared to other spots around. Still, it’s a solid go-to for a satisfying meal.

We enjoyed a fun get together with friends. The food was tastey. The drinks were good. Their menu doesn't label gluten free food, and they don't cater to special diets. I don't recommend eating here unless you research ahead of time. All the drinks are $10 with no happy hour. I found a manager who was able to help me navigate the items without wheat.

I visited Wu Wei Din on a Sunday afternoon. There was no wait which was perfect. I came for the xiao long bao and stayed for the Taiwanese beef noodle soup (extra spicy) and the pork chop. Both were amazing! I love how fast the food came out. I definitely will be back!

Been a "regular" since old location. Finally been to the new location and I think the quality of food, hygiene, service, and the restaurant vibe has been all upgraded! My favorite dish here is always the flat rice noodle with beef. But most of the dishes served at this restaurant are so good. They even have separate menu, called American's favorite dishes. This time we ordered pork&shrimp Xiaolongbao, pork chop fried rice, fried rice w/ fried chicken, and Taiwanese basil chicken. All food came out fresh and warm. (TBH, you can't really go wrong with these menu) Of course all tasted very great. Especially, the pork chop fried rice was beyond my expectation. We will definitely come back soon as we always do.

My wife was raised in Taiwan. We eat Chinese/Taiwanese food occasionally both at home and when we go out. Needless to say, we know our way around Chinese/Taiwanese food. Wu Wei Din is as good as it gets in the area. We'd previously gone to the Asian strip mall off of Greenville Ave. for Chinese food. Wu Wei Din is every bit as good as anything we could get there. The place is very clean and contemporary, and the service is almost over the top good. I like the menu itself because it's extensive, but not so extensive I couldn't figure out which page to be on, as is the problem in many Asian restaurants. It has a clearly delineated American/Asian section on the menu, yet it retains the heritage of the more traditional Taiwanese dishes if that's your preference. Some of the more traditional menu choices are of the order, as my wife put it, "my grandparents would order that". I usually don't write a review on the first visit; anyone can serve a good meal one time. So, we've been here twice and both times were great. This time we started with a cucumber salad (not pictured...ate too much before I remembered to pull out the phone), scallion pancake, flat noodle combo (this is actually shaved noodle combo for those familiar), and Mongolian shrimp. The portions are large, and everything was served family style, which is tradition. All dishes were excellent, and we'd return and reorder any of them. The location is super convenient and definitely worth trying out if you like Chinese/Taiwanese food.

Excellent experience all around!! I was excited to try their new location. It’s nice inside and well lit. The menu has so many great options it was hard to choose. We especially w joyed the Xiao Long Bao and the flat beef noodles. I wish I could eat here every day low key!
