"Tucked away in a small alley, Wulin has been serving authentic, reasonably priced Hangzhou food since 2008. The drunken prawns marinated in a wine sauce have a sweet aftertaste; the braised yellow croaker with sticky rice cakes is cooked with chilli bean paste and sliced pork for an umami extravaganza. Lamb, especially popular in winter, is prepared in myriad ways. The main restaurant area isn't huge, but there are a few private rooms available to book." - Michelin Inspector

Wulin Square (武林广场) is a lively central hub, great for people-watching and soaking in Hangzhou’s urban energy. Modern fountains, open space, and easy access to shops and transit make it a convenient stop. It’s not a quiet spot, but its vibrant atmosphere and city views offer a nice glimpse of daily life.

Wulin Square is not a shopping mall but an open public atrium. There are a few small stalls around the area selling handicrafts and snacks, such as sugar-coated fruit. We spent about 15 minutes here before heading to the nearby malls. One can skip this place if have short stay.

There's not much here except a really good local feel. From here, you can easily visit the nearby malls, grab some food to eat before you venture to the city and of course, the iced tea, bubble teas and all.

It's an average square during the daytime, but the music fountain show at the water fountain and the laser show on the China Construction Bank building was a memorable one. If you are too far or too lazy to get to the West Lake to enjoy the music fountain show, this place can be your great alternative, with less crowd.

Not much of shopping at Wushin Square. More highend shopping at those 4 Hangzhou Towers. The music fountain is good and worth a visit if you are Round and into this type of show. It's free.
