"The latest location of Wuollet’s Bakery in Southwest Minneapolis closed permanently, with the business relocating to Edina. The bakery faced complaints and a lawsuit for allegedly defaulting on loans." - Serena Maria Daniels

Wuollet Bakery has been a go-to for festivities in various families I have know for decades. This December’s birthday treats were no exception. I showed up for a chocolate with chocolate butter cream frosted cake and left with not only that but some smaller additional sweets of varying flavors as one does. The folks helping me out were very accommodating and helped me pick out the right flavor combo for my partner KT as she has some opinions on what she wanted =)

Cannot go wrong with Woullet Bakery... Yum! Whatever your sweet tooth is craving, they've got your back. We're a big fan of their donuts when they're fresh in the mornings. Cupcakes are a smash hit as well. We've had good luck with using them for cake orders as well. It's a great place to look into for a birthday or other celebration. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Great local Bakery and love supporting them.

This bakery is a family favorite....there are several locations across the Twin Cities...and I think all of them produce the same quality of goods. Today i got the rainbow cake and it was delicious. If you are near one it's definitely worth stopping in.

Stopped in to Edina location to grab a cake for my mom’s birthday. I paid for it and decided to come back for it the next day so a decorator could write my “Happy Birthday” on it. I came back the next day and they had what look like a brand new cake with flowers and frosting and the words on it for me! The cake was delicious and I was so happy with the decorations!! The cake was the Lady Baltimore with raspberry filling. It was like a traditional bday cake with the raspberry flair! It’s my new favorite 🎂❤️ We’ve gotten treats from them in the past and will continue to use their amazing services!!

My husband and I ordered a sheet cake from Wuollet Bakery for our son’s 1st birthday party. It was delicious and the cake design was so cute! Everyone at the party loved the cake. We will definitely go to Wuollet Bakery again!

Google
I have ordered custom cakes at Wuolett Bakery in Edina in the past and have been extremely satisfied! However, with this purchase I was disappointed. The frosting was air brushed on the cake. Love the colors and design! But when I took the cake out of the box the pictures show my disappointment. It appears that the air brush technique creates more of a “shell” around the cake. For some reason the cake fell as shown. I don’t know why exactly. Maybe because the shell is more delicate and driving home disrupted the shell?? Or maybe the frosting border was too heavy and crushed the shell? Regardless, it was disappointing and just wanted to share with others who may be considering air brush frosting to ask the company if there are any special instructions for air brush frosting.

Google
They no longer offer sandwiches, but you’ll find a lot of fresh pastry, bread, and cake options. I would rate the store closer to four stars for the higher prices and lack of whole grain options, but the staff I have encountered are friendly and do their best to help. If you’re looking to indulge while avoiding generic processed food, you should find an option to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Nearly noon on the day before Thanksgiving and there wasn't much left (good for them!) but I still managed to nab 4 of some of the best donuts in the area. I got 2 maple rings and 2 raspberry filled donuts, and they were each flawless. Big, chewy, sweet, and flavorful. Too many donut places these days seem to put all their effort into making their donuts look pretty, but end up making flavorless, unpleasant things they say are donuts. Wuollet is the real deal. Each bite is heaven and it's bittersweet when you reach the last bite. Well done, Wuollet Bakery! I'm a fan. Friendly service, sane prices, and the perfect local bakery atmosphere.

Yelp
Wuollet bakery consistently knocks it out of the park with their custom cakes. I am really writing this review as a thank you to the decorator who took the time to decorate my adorable mushroom birthday cake. So delicious and well done!!

Angela S.

Yelp
Because a picture is worth 1000 words... (no, I did not order a broken cake, nor did I order an "earthquake cake" or a "Grand Canyon cake". Someone suggested to me that maybe this happened because they froze my cake and then didn't fully thaw it before I picked it up and drove it home. Whatever happened, it's not OK. It's such a shame because this bakery used to be amazing before the ownership changed.

Dan C.

Yelp
I have heard a lot about the donuts here and had no idea that I lived so close. I came by on a Saturday with the kids after soccer for donuts. We got a couple of donuts and they were pretty good. What really jumped out and made the visit memorable was the impulsive cake slice purchase. The cake was dense, moist, and heavy with frosting. The slice must have weighed 5 pounds, made full of good stuff. It took my whole family to eat it. The service was pretty good, too.

Yelp
a Wuollet customer since the mid 80's. bought our wedding cake there in 1993. The current bakery is a shell of its former self. The place looks tired, is dirty, and just looks like no one really cares. Sad. Ordered classic Lady Baltimore. They cheap out on icing. It is so thin. The flower design looked like an amateur did it. Not even close to the picture on the website. By the way the donuts are tiny as are the cupcakes. They have ruined the legacy and I just saw where they bailed out on the Wayzata location - behind on rent. All good things come to end and this place is done. The lack of cleanliness is the worst part. At least take some pride in appearance.

Yelp
Went here for the first time thanks to Yelp's special celebration. While I did not like the famous Princess Torte cake, their Chocolate Mousse cake was absolutely amazing. It was so rich, creamy and so flavorful! If you are a fan of chocolate/chocolate cakes I would highly recommend this cake. If you are having a craving for carrot cake, I would also recommend their carrot cake cupcake. I need to come back to try the other items - cookies, donuts, bread, and other pastries! Can't wait!!

Yande M.

Yelp
Popped by Wuollet to pick up a birthday cake. It wasn't pre-ordered. Just one of their cakes in their case. I ended up getting their Princess Torte which is one of the best cakes I've had in my life. It's not too heavy, and not too sweet. I would get this cake again. It is delicious.

Amy P.

Yelp
I've visited Wuollet a few times now on separate occasions. I decided this would be an amazing place to order a cake for my mom for Mother's Day. I ordered their Princess Torte online (super easy, they even let you customize the cake with whatever text you want) and I set a pickup time and location. When I went to pick up, I ordered a chocolate croissant to go along with it (can't walk away with just one thing!). The cake was amazing (pictures below). I wasn't a huge fan of the marzipan but my mom loved it and that was the important part. As for the croissant, it is the only reason I'd bring my rating down a star. To me, this wasn't a croissant at all. It didn't taste flakey and buttery, it reminded me more of a chocolate pastry. But, I went and visited again! As a Yelp Elite, we were given the opportunity to attend a cupcake decorating class so I took home six cupcakes and a ginger molasses cookie (like I said, always more than one ). Y'all, this cookie. I cannot wait to get my hands on another one. It's soft, sweet and oh so perfect. Yum. And the cupcakes!!!!!! Please, treat yourself. This isn't an "off the shelf of a grocery store" cupcake. You can TELL it's made with love (and lots of butter). Absolutely to die for. Would highly recommend.

Liz P.

Yelp
ordered two cakes two different times. First time I go to pick it up and they have the order but no cake. The second time I order it over the phone five days ahead of time. i email them two days later regarding the decoration on the cake. They email me back and say they can't find my order! So I tell them the order again and now they tell me they stopped making that cake! You have to be kidding me.

Rida S.

Yelp
This place had amazing selections of cakes and desserts! I tried a slice of the raspberry torte cake and a regular cupcake , both had a unique taste to it and great flavor In the cake and frosting. I loved the fondont as well on the raspberry one, usually I'm not a fan of fondont. I saw they had a variety of other desserts too which I would love to try in the future!

Yelp
So I called Wouletts Bakery on 50th and France got a Rep from Grandmas Bakery spoke with a Shelly had her take my order and she fucked it up we were on the phone for about 40 minutes I clearly told this woman that I wanted a cake with replicaof a BeBe Branded Purse we decided on a 9 inch round I told her I wanted a satchel purse on top of the cake I wanted to duplicate of a black patent leather satchel purse on top of the cake she quoted me a price I paid her for the cake and what the fuck I got is a cake that looks like my grandkids could've or DID the artwork and the purse was a little bitty purse put on the front of the cake TF yeah it was the WORST EXAMPLE OF A REPLICA cake EVER taste good there wasn't much filling in it so I think I just paid for a bunch of freaking white cake with icing yeah I'm not happy and I'll never order from them again

Laura N.

Yelp
They admitted to making the mistake of forgetting a whole cake and had no intention of taking responsibility for said mistake. Went home extremely dissatisfied. :(

Yelp
I got a coupon online for a complimentary pastry and coffee from this bakery so I thought I would make my way over here. There weren't too many visible parking spots in the front to me, but you may have to wrap around the building and find a spot on the side or find street parking. Either way it's free, so it's a plus! I tried the drip coffee which was okay, not anything special but with some of my own creamer at home, tasted pretty decent. I also tried the chocolate croissant and decided to get an additional pastry - the lemon blueberry scone. The croissant was pretty good, though not like a typical french croissant. Not as flaky or buttery but still delicious. The layer of chocolate in the middle was thin but it still was a decent pastry that I would come back for if I am in the area. The lemon blueberry scone on the other hand, was a different story. It was harder on the outside and kind of had the consistency of bread rather than a scone. Although I was able to taste the lemon flavor, it wasn't very strong. It was just bland overall. I think if they hiked up the sweetness or maybe added a different butter to dough ratio, it has the potential to be a great scone. I did try a sample of their maple bar and it tasted delicious - like a pecan pie! I have regrets I didn't get that. I feel like this bakery is a hit or miss - so choose your bakery items wisely!

Yelp
Has been my go to cake place for 30 years. Just ordered a cake for a 60th birthday party. The cake looked like a child decorated it. When I called the manager at the Edina location and I told her my granddaughter could have done better she challenged me and said I would like to see it. Rude.

Anthony B.

Yelp
My experience here was really favorable. I stopped in a hurry to pick up a few dozen donuts for the office. The lady who helped me, was very efficient, respectful of my time, and did a great job of packaging the donuts. I thought the price was more than reasonable and those donuts disappeared in minutes when I returned to the office. I'll be back.

Yelp
Wuollet decorators have lost their minds - and my business.  I would let it go if this was the first time they'd ruined an event cake for me personally, but it's not.  It's the THIRD time.  This is the cake they tried to give me for my Marine son's 25th birthday party.  NOT at all what I asked for, very clearly.  Who would ask for this???  The cashier was very apologetic and clearly very embarrassed, and honestly, we laughed (who wouldn't?).  But also, who gave the okay to present this cake to a customer?   Then, when the cashier called the manager to get me a refund, they got told to ask me if I would TAKE THIS ABOMINATION HOME TO MY FAMILY in exchange for a 50% discount.  Um, no.  I got a refund for the difference between this monstrosity and a random cake from the case which was not what I'd ordered.  Personally, I think I should have been offered a full refund and a free cake, because this was just egregious. Moral of the story:  DO NOT buy your event cake from Wuollet.  They clearly cannot be trusted to deliver quality decorations anymore.

Duane K.

Yelp
I have been a customer since or before the 90s and the decline in the service and even some of the products have not gone unnoticed, but I had ordered a birthday cake for a family member as we have been ordering theses cakes on and off since the 90s and when I showed up to get the cake on the birthday which was 6/16/23 they told me the customer service had not sent the order over and they had no cake. I was really upset as it's the day of the birthday and as I stated we buy theses cakes all the time a strawberry soufflé which is a great cake. So I had to at the last minute find another option as we did not want another cake type from them , also I was told then in addition to the cake not being made that they had stopped making the cake so the order should have never been taken! And they never got the order! Wait for it! It gets worse, so because I have another family members birthday coming up in July I called the CS line to report this to the manager who was some what friendly but had no idea on how to keep a loyal customer. She looked into the issue then came back after I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and told me they have the cake still sitting in the freezer at the location, really, and then she insulted me more by saying she's sorry and hopes I will give them another try without offering any kind of gesture, of kindness from her business as they had excuse my language F@&$ up! I don't expect anything from anyone for free but even just offering say, on your next purchase from us I will give you a discount or something for your troubles and I want you to stay a customer and this was not your fault! And I want you to come back! Normally I usually decline but some times if it's a big mistake I take them up on it! Well they never offered! Instead , it's a weak sorry about this hope you give us another try, wow since the management/ownership changed it's seems to have gone down hill, even seeing flys in the bakery now, so I most likely will never go back as there are many other options and their management needs to know that! I'm a firm Believer in money talks and unhappy customers walk!

C D.

Yelp
This place has declined greatly over the past several years. Dirty floors, not much stock in the display cases, and product quality, size and variety of offerings has gone down. I am sure the original Wuollet family members are rolling over in their graves. The floor was so dirty when I visited that I almost walked out.

Yelp
Rude, Rude, Rude. Where do I start, Olga needs to learn manners and how to treat customers that keep her doors open. I took a cake that they made back because the decorations on the top were not what we had ordered. I asked Olga if she could take the icing off the top and start over. She said she didn't think anything was wrong with the way it looked. I said the cake looks like a 10-year-old had decorated it and it was not any of the colors that we had requested nor did the cake look anything like what we had asked for. Olga said, maybe you should've been more specific...I asked Olga if she would want this for her 16-year-old daughter and she chuckled. Then she asked me what did I pay for the cake? I told her and she said well you get what you pay for. Really... well that set the tone... I explained to her that the customer was always right and she said no they're not this point I really just wanted to throw the cake in her face (but I didn't). I will never ever again purchase anything from this bakery. Oh, and by the way, she told me to get the fuck out of her store (Olga's words) well I did have a word to say after that... Olga needs to take etiquette classes and learn how to be professional towards the customers. She also needs to understand who pays her bills. I can promise you no one I know will ever go into her store again..... bad business!!! Did you ZERO Star Rating from m

Tracy J.

Yelp
Today went to Woullet's bakery to have a correction made on one of the most horrific cakes I've ever seen and look like a 10-year-old had decorated it. The woman we spoke with was Olga I'm assuming the owner and when I asked her to redo the top of the cake, she said she couldn't do any better than what was already done, she asked how much we paid for the cake, we told her and she laughed and said well you get what you pay for. Then she said she remembered another cake she had redone for me and proceeded to say that that cake had too much shit on it (Olga's words to me). She was extremely rude, and unwilling to help we even asked her would she want her daughter to have this cake on her 16th birthday and she laughed. The joke here is Olga very non professional guess she doesn't really understand who pays or keeps her in business and it's the customers. She got rude with me so my fiancé got rude back and she told us to leave her Fucking Store, we said to her the customers are always right she said no they are not...I really wanted to shove that cake in her face. Never Again will I ever go back.... Lost customer forever and anyone I know I will make sure they don't go either.

Yelp
Used to be the best bakery in Minneapolis but am super disappointed now. I am visiting and was excited to go but after having their donuts they were not fresh, seemed to be a day old. No longer will be going to Wuollet after today.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I ordered a cake for our 50th Anniversary and asked that they decorate it with hamburgers, french fries, and champagne. The cake was delicious and the frosting artists did an incredible job on the decorations! The hamburger and French fries were 3-D, and the had a champagne bottle and a glass with bubbles. I could not have been more pleased, and my guests loved it all! Thank you!

Emily H.

Yelp
When I lived in Minneapolis I loved Wuollet Bakery. I was pleased to see they have nationwide shipping. I moved to California and ordered for a friend in Minneapolis this year for Christmas and she never got it. Wuollet will not answer their phone or return my emails but they processed the charge. Very sad that there is zero customer service at this place. The charm of this bakery is no more. No stars.

Hoa N.

Yelp
My daughter wanted something sweet after her swimming lesson and stated she wanted to go back to the bakery where I had picked up my cupcakes for my class. So I thought, "Hey, I got the $5 off coupon to use" but no cigars since I didn't read carefully that I needed to use it for online orders only. Oh well. Service was prompt since we were the only ones in the store. We got some snickerdoodles cookies and a slice of the Princess Torte to try. My little girl devour her snickerdoodle the second we drove away and asked if she could eat her sister's and dad's cookies too. I will use the coupon to get their Mankato bar to try for our next outing.

Kat T.

Yelp
Wuollet was my go-to bakery for cakes since my kids were toddlers. Moved from Minnesota 12 years ago but always got a cake every year when visiting. Because of the pandemic 2018 was the last time we had Wuollet so when my youngest was coming for a couple days last week the one thing they knew they were getting was a Wuollet cake. When we picked them up from the airport we couldn't wait to get home and have cake. After the cake on our way home my other daughter called me and when I asked what they thought about the cake they mentioned something was off with the frosting and I realized it hadn't been true buttercream. Both the texture and flavor were off (and now I know why the top had shifted and slid so it wasn't even with the bottom layer). I had also noticed the cake itself wasn't the same, it was more dense and the texture was coarse and not truly white (like it used to be). We both couldn't believe they would change something they're known for--if it ain't broke why fix it? When I asked my other daughter who bought it if they noticed anything they said yes right away. It wasn't horrible--we did eventually eat the whole thing. But it wasn't anything special either--I've had better from a grocery store. You can't make buttercream frosting without butter. After reading other reviews here I see they changed ownership a couple years ago and someone mentioned the butter substitute in the frosting. At least it wasn't our imagination but this is so disappointing. Wuollet will no longer be a must have when we're back visiting.

Halee P.

Yelp
This bakery is in a great location, surrounded by a lot of dining options & shops (I went to the Edina one). For Yelp's birthday they were giving us a free slice of cake, so obviously could not turn this freebie down! They had about 5 different flavors of cake to choose from. I went with the carrot cake. It was good, but didn't blow me away! Tasted like your traditional carrot cake. I'd come back and try something else!

Jessica K.

Yelp
I usually hate buttercream icing, but there is something about the buttercream here that is just AMAZING! I know I had a few cakes from here in my younger years (like ages 1, 2 and 3) but I don't remember them. I have now stopped in a few times and absolutely love their lady baltimore cupcake. The icing is delicious! I also purchased a doughnut which is fine, but not the star of the show. I have also tried the princess torte slice which I adore that you can buy individual slices of torts and cakes. I had never had a princess torte and it was great and not something I would get elsewhere. The staff is always so amazing and kind! I love that they are local and make everything in house from scratch!

Mike P.

Yelp
I bought a birthday cake for my mother from Wuollets. It was very good. Very fresh and good counter help. Thanks Wuollets.

Julia S.

Yelp
I ordered my Thanksgiving breads and desserts from the Wuollet location in Edina, because I like to support local when I can. I went to pick them up, and much to my surprise, only half the order was ready; I was told the other half was delayed and I was assured it would be ready by 10:30am, three-and-a-half hours after the scheduled time. Not once was I called or notified about this delay prior to stopping in at 7:00am, which was the originally quoted time to pick up my order. I stop in again at 11:30am. I was once more told the order was delayed but would be ready between 1-2pm. Surprise! I also wasn't called or notified in any way about this second delay. At 2:30pm, I call before going back. I spoke to Annie, who told me my order would not be ready until Thanksgiving morning -- a day later than scheduled -- but had never once bothered to send so much as an e-mail about this third delay (or any of the prior two delays, for that matter.) Apparently there was a "production issue" at wherever the breads and desserts were made. In summary, the store was making blind promises, not communicating and had ultimately not fulfilled my order. I requested a refund instead, as I was not going to continue this game with this store or with Annie, and I certainly wasn't stopping in on Thanksgiving morning because of *their* mistake. Annie gave me a refund and that was it. This lack of communication and continued, unexplained delays were absurd. There was no reason the store could not have communicated the delays -- it was a large Thanksgiving order, after all. I will never, ever do business with this bakery again. In reading other reviews here, I think that's the best choice. Do not recommend. Absolutely terrible.

Cindy B.

Yelp
I have been a loyal and frequent customer of Wuollets for over 25 years and am so very disappointed in its decline over the last few years since its sale to new owners. The altering of recipes, elimination of favorite items and downsizing of products has left me feeling that the product is not worth the price. I can get the same quality at the supermarket. Even the birthday cake I purchased the other day, which did taste great, was lop-sided and the message they iced on looked like a child did it. I miss the quality products they once offered.

Janae J.

Yelp
Thank you Wuoletts for brightening the weekend with your delicious cake!!! I also had a glazed donut which was perfectly flaky and sweet!! The princess torte is always a fav also I appreciate their commitment to safety only allowing 5 in the store at a time!!

Samantha S.

Yelp
Happy birthday Yelp! Wuollet has been a long standing bakery in Minnesota and a household name. Traditional classic and done right. They are the standard to treats and dessert. From a special occasion to treating yourself Don't hesitate to stop in a see what they have!

Karen K.

Yelp
I have loved having Wuollet's cupcakes and cakes at every birthday party and family celebration for the past 10+ years. They have reliably been a special treat for many occasions. That's why I chose to buy their cupcakes for our Mother's Day party. When I picked up my order, I saw that the cupcakes are about half the size they used to be. Nothing special at all, so unlike what they used to be. They looked like cupcakes I could make with a baking mix at home. The cashier told me new owners took over recently. They decided to change their wonderful cupcakes into what they are now, but keep their close to $4/piece price. Their website still shows their old cupcakes in the photos. That is what I believed I was ordering. What a complete disappointment. I will never again order from this once-treasured family-owned business. So deceptive to show the old photos and make no mention of the new changes to their product. Really sad to see.

Dave C.

Yelp
I was a customer of Wuollets for over 25 years. I stopped going after they were bought out in last couple years, but sometimes old habits and wishful thinking, tricks me into giving them another try, like this morning. My strongest recommendation is DON'T GO. Better off going to local grocery store. Their donuts are barely, and I mean barely edible! My bona fides are that I went there when they took over Olson Bakery location in Wayzata, then switch to Chaska, when the had a location there. Would drive daily to get an apple turnover, raised glaze, and others. All birthdays cakes were purchased their, and were worth the price! So I know what I am talking about They USE TO BE craftsman, light flaky pastries, cookies, cakes, donuts. I have never seen a businesses quality drop so precipitously. As a rec, Try The Grocer's Table in Wayzata if you want to try something high quality.

Molly A.

Yelp
Solid bakery. No complaints. Bummer some have had a negative experience. I did see one disappointing chocolate croissant photo. I forgot to take photos this time - not the norm for me - but our chocolate croissant seemed much more on point. Was very pleasantly surprised with the carmel pecan croissant as well. The donuts and danishes were good though nothing unique - decent quality common baked good to be found at most bakeries and def better than any grocery bakery. Would prolly give the baked goods 4-4.5 but pushing this review to a 5 bc was very pleasantly surprised at a really well done latte!

Argery G.

Yelp
I lived in the Twin Cities for 14 years. In that time I discovered the best bakery with the most amazing white cake with butter cream frosting, Wuollet! For years I held their cake up as the gold standard of all cakes of this type. I would buy it and take it with me out of state and even had my friend send it to me in the mail after I moved. Usually most of the cake survived the journey in tact but even if it got jostled too much and half of it was a pile of rubble, I didn't care because the taste was magnificent and most of the ornate and beautiful roses and flowers survived the trip. Now, forget about buying this cake! I don't have enough words to describe how disappointing even looking at it is. I should have know the moment the cake was picked up. What was once a beautifully decorated masterpiece looked like a grade schooler's art project. Seriously, I felt like I entered the Twilight Zone when I saw it. I specifically ordered a cake decorated like usual and like the one shown on the website. What I got was quite different. The flowers were dark purple and dark blue and orange and red and looked like someone rolled out playdough and then placed on top of the cake with cheesy hard sprinkles throughout. When I tasted the cake I knew immediately something was wrong. The icing was not the usual delectable butter cream taste that I was used to There may still be some butter cream in the mix but it also tasted like Crisco or some type of shortening was added. The consistency of the cake itself is also "off." It's also not as dense as it used to be. The end result is an overpriced, horribly decorated cake that tastes average at best. I gave a piece to my mom who also loves the cake as much as I do and she had similar thoughts as mine. " Meh..." I can get a better looking and better tasting cake at my local grocery store. My advise is to save yourself the disappointment and money and shop elsewhere. When I called the bakery the CSR was very kind and lovely and took good care of me with a refund. She told me that my phone order made no mention of the how I wanted the cake decorated (by the way I mentioned that twice to the person taking my order). As for the taste, well, who would have ever guessed that the new owners would have changed the recipe! If you are a fan of their cakes from yesteryear, look for a new bakery. I can't speak to the retail coffee and pastry end of things or other bakery items, but as far as my prized white cake with butter cream frosting goes, it is an epic failure.

Amy S.

Yelp
I have for the past 25 years ordered my cakes from here because the decorations are amazing. Last year the gave us a cake fail, but I ordered again because it's my daughter's favorite. This year epic fail, I believe they just don't care anymore. I requested specifically a cake with a variety of pink colored flowers with cat faces hidden in them. You can see what I got. It's a joke. I'm done with crazy expensive cakes. Not worth the disappointment

Yelp
I wish I did not have to write this review. But this may have been the worst experience with a bakery I have ever had in my life. We ordered a huge cake for 200+ people for a funeral. The order went through and we thought we were good to go. Then, we showed up today, the day of. They told us the cake never was prepared and they couldn't do anything. The young lady helping us with the order was nothing but helpful and obviously had nothing to do with this issue but it was incredibly upsetting given that this was a very important event and we did not have a cake for it due to this bakery's fuck up. I cannot emphasize more how much we will never visit this establishment ever again because of this mistake. and I would highly discourage anyone else who actually wants to get a cake when they order it from as well.

Yelp
I bought a Groupon for this staple bakery and it was totally worth it. I didn't spend the entire Groupon in one purchase so they gave me the extra $10 in a gift card to come back another time. Brownie points in my book! Although I didn't spend it all at once the doesn't mean the decisions were easy. They have an assortment of donuts, cupcakes, breads, decadent desserts and just about anything else that a bakery can produce. They are mostly known for their cakes which are perfect for any celebration. I will absolutely be coming back for more!

Yelp
So disappointing! Their pastries and sweets look ordinary. Nothing seems high-end like it used to. The brownies and pecan bars were absolutely terrible! The Princess Torte looks messy and different than it's original version. The donuts were moist but the genache was funky tasting, similar to the brownies. Wuollet sized to be a French style bakery with treats you couldn't find anywhere else. Half of those are no longer even made and the ones that are available are not even appealing. The cupcakes were literally falling apart and looked as though they had been thawed out. I'm so sad because the quality was not kept when ownership changed. I've tried twice now hoping it was just an off day, but no such luck.

Yelp
They seems to always have a Groupon option which helps with pricing. The Princess Torte, Svenska Torte and Chocolate Mousse Torte are favorites. Doughnuts and muffins are average.

Yelp
Ordered a cake for my daughter's baby shower, wanted a woodland creatures theme. I sent a pic that was for a baby girl shower and asked them to make it more for a boy. It turned out adorable. We had the strawberry soufflé cake. It was a huge hit. I got a larger cake then I thought I needed. Good thing, most guests had 2 pieces! Thanks for making our baby shower cake a foodie's dream! I've ordered this cake several times and it's always delicious!

Yelp
I have been here twice...a good indicator. I have had the cupcakes...fresh a little cold but still moist and $$$cheap compared to other bakeries. I next tried the brownies very moist just the right amount of nuts...but could have been a little bigger... tasty. I also purchased a chocolate chip cookie small but you can buy by the dozen at a decent price. Moist not over chippy very good. They have Danish doughnuts cakes and cookies. The service is friendly but parking can be tricky especially after 5pm.

Yelp
We have been coming for 20+ years to the 50th and France location. Everything has gone downhill lately. Cupcakes shrunk, pastries dry and coffee cakes used to be so good, but now can find better almost anywhere. So sad.

Yelp
Wow, Wuollet's has really gone down the tubes. Their cupcakes were our family's "go to" favorite for over 20 years, and we bought 6 yesterday to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. The cupcakes in years past were consistently delicious, with real butter frosting, the gold standard. Now they've downsized their cupcakes (which in itself isn't horrible, with inflation), but they are using a butter substitute. The cupcakes are dry and the frosting tastes like lard. I would put the tasting experience right next to Cub Foods or Walmart bakery. Horrid. We'll never go again. The family might be ashamed. Boo.

Yelp
Sentimental value... cheese crowns... five stars. Its like legitimately eating cheesecake for breakfast. Tried some of their other items, nothing else is a real standout for me. Coconut macaroons look amazing but they were dry, dull and uninteresting - especially for over $4 each. Worth a trip just for the cheese crowns. Blow your office away, or have a spectacular weekend treat.

Yelp
WOW. Satisfied is an understatement! The kindness of the workers warmed my heart the minute I walked through the doors. Don't even get me started on the Maple Frosted Cake Donut, it is the most delectable pastryI have ever encountered in my many years of life. Also, one of the beautiful young ladies working recommended an "Almond Latte" to me and my life is forever changed (Thanks Mary!). It is sweet, classy, and sassy... just like me! I also purchased a turtle cupcake because the charming girl behind the counter insisted it would change my life (you weren't wrong Ella). I can't praise this place enough and I highly recommend to anyone who finds themselves on that side of town!

Yelp
I have been to bakeries from Vienna to Japan, and I would say this is one of the best bakeries I've been to! I bought fresh bread, an iced latte, and four different pastries and desserts (for 20 bucks!!) and every single item, including the coffee, was absolutely amazing. The Princess Cake is out of this world. The service was also excellent; I like good service. The young man at the counter was fast and diligent and made sure every item arrived at home just as it looked in the store. So whether you want to treat yourself, surprise your mom with some fresh bread, thank a coworker with a card and a mini raspberry cheesecake, wow your dinner guests with an impressive dessert, or celebrate your special day with the marzipan and cream goodness that is Princess Cake, this is the right address!! I only wish I lived closer, but this might be my reason to move to Edina...

Yelp
I am so disappointed in the cupcakes I ordered for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. I've ordered Woullet's cupcakes (along with other desserts) many times and they have always been showstoppers. I ordered via the phone expecting my usual wonderful bright big cupcakes. These cupcakes were soooo small compared to what they used to be (and still roughly the same cost). I had no idea they changed the amount of batter to using way way way less. I also asked them to only decorate the flowers using their bright colors. I got about a third with the colors I asked for. My showstopping dessert was not to happen. I had to switch the size of my tray to accommodate the huge change in size and couldn't use my beautiful freshly cleaned tarnish free silver tray. I was so embarrassed! My son's future mother in law offered to pick up another dessert. I've been a loyal customer for decades!!! Wow!
