The Best Boba Shops In LA & The SGV

"Wushiland has some of the best milk teas around - they brew their teas strong and let the tea leaves’ natural flavors shine in each and every drink. One unique add-on that this shop located in Westfield Century City offers is a scoop of vanilla ice cream so that any drink can be turned into a tea float - perfect for hot days and for dessert. You can also get your boba in two different sizes, mini and normal." - audrey fong

WARNING CONSUMERS ⚠️ If you LOVE BOBA - COME HERE NOW!! Like RUN 🏃🏃‍♀️The ONLY boba shop I’ve ever been to where I request LESS BOBA TOPPINGS. They are SO GENEROUS with their boba - like too generous! Typically 1/3 of the cup is boba. I love their Roasted Oolong Milk Tea - all of their milk teas have a strong tea flavored which I looooove

Google
My son and I love boba. I believe there are 3 boba shops in century city mall. We chose this one bc it had the best reviews and I found it first. It was really good and had a LOT of boba in it, which I appreciated bc so many places skimp on the boba these days. They were the perfect consistency and sweetness. Would def order from here again!

Google
Ordered Black Tea Latte, and got what looks & tastes like straight milk. 2nd photos is comparing it the Straus cream, where you can see the color is almost the exact same.

Google
The boba here is amazing. I was feeling thirsty so I got a grapefruit one instead of milk tea. Very refreshing. The mini pearls are unique as well. Would definitely recommend. 😋

Ravi Jha

Google
Good quality, they have yakult tea and other special flavors that you might not see everywhere but for the most part pretty standard. Prices get pretty outrageous, especially because drinks do not come with boba or any toppings ($0.75 per topping).

Google
They have a very unique option, pearl, that is on the menu and hard to find elsewhere. I ordered their ice cream milk tea and asked for light ice light sugar. Unfortunately I think I got a full sugar one😅. The taste is very different from what I had in Taiwan, so I think they made some modification there.

Raul Ramirez

Google
Above average boba. They also have oat milk as a nice alternative to the usual non dairy creamer. All of the drinks I tried here were great.

Google
This is my first time trying this place and I am a huge milk tea boba fan so I already know that every boba place has a different flavor and let me tell you. THIS MILK TEA IS SO GOOD. I got it with no ice, 100% sugar, and mini bobas. The only bad thing I must say is I don’t like the mini bobas because they take too long to chew but they just look cute so that’s all that really matters right? lol jk but get the real sized bobas If you don’t want to take 1 hour to finish all the mini bobas. Would definitely come back here for the milk tea with (large sized bobas this time) Lol

Yelp
Superb look it's so cutesy! I had boba here and it was a bit pricey ($7) but it was very good! My gf and I sat here and took so many pictures!

Yelp
Basically a staple drink whenever I come to this mall. There's actually alot of options for quality boba which makes sense, theres alot of asians that visit here. Shopping you need some sugary drink to keep you high while during retail therapy. quality is always good, sometimes I'll buy another to bring home and fridge it for the day or 2 later, I call it a surprise boba. they are quick which is great because there's no seating just a bar and a line of folks outside waiting.

Yelp
So my boyfriend has been on a "surprise me with boba binge" lately and so I have the opportune time to officially compare all the different types of boba on the westside and give a direct comparison: Sushi land boba is Not as good as other boba shops as their boba is a bit watered down. Ambiance wise it's a super long wait as it's in the mall and people sometimes "steal" your to go boba drink and you either have to hold up the line and ask the worker to fix it or they just give you the other person's drink even though it's different from what you've ordered . * brown sugar roasted oolong milk tea - $6.75 - my absolute favorite go to for this spot if I had to order from here again I'd get this one. All the great perks of the strong roasted oolong flavor with a touch of added kick with the brown sugar + boba aspect. * roasted oolong milk tea - $6.24 - it's good in the fact that the roasted part makes the oolong flavor notes come out more. Taste wise it hits the spot but for sure it's a tiny bit still too watered down. I would get this one again though. * jasmine green milk tea - $6.24 - I prefer the roasted oolong milk tea. Such an interesting spot. You can definitely taste the Jasmine green tea flavor notes but it doesn't taste like it comes from tea but rather from a Jasmine sweet syrup and you also still taste that watered down water+milk taste. I wouldn't get this again unless you're really craving Jasmine that day. * brown sugar milk tea - $6.74 - good but not great. I could live without. It's more brown sugar toward as opposed to black tea forward. Sunright does a better job.

Yelp
Small selection of three tea drinks. Ordered a few brown sugar milk teas- we enjoyed them and might return to see if they have any other selections in the future.

Yelp
Wushiland Boba is located on the top floor next to Cinnabon. Before walking in, you can see the large menu spanning at the top through the glass windows. At night, it is super pretty with the glowy golden lighting. We got to trying out the Four Seasons Black Tea and the Golden Oolong Tea. The brewed tea for both drinks were delicious and we also liked how quick the service was despite the long line of orders. The boba they put in both of our drinks was also plentiful compared to other boba places! The boba was smooth, yummy, and had a great amount of chewiness. There's no seating inside; just a counter to order at. We went here for our last stop of the mall and enjoyed it for on the ride home. Had a pleasant experience!

Yelp
|[ s w e e t ]| Prob my fav boba shop in the west side atm! Roasted oolong MT is my go to, with mini pearl+grass jelly no sugar. The syrup in the toppings actually still make the drink kinda sweet so that's my only true critique. If they could either not soak the toppings in super sweet syrup or offer the option (for a true no sugar preference) then they would prob get 5 stars from me. But the drink itself has a roasted tea taste and I love it. Would also like to see alt milk options for the MT (milk subs only avail for tea lattes). |[ d e e t s ]| Quick service kiosk order, no seating area so ambiance is a grab and go. They have a rewards program if you download app. 1 hr free mall parking. :)

Yelp
There was a line when I got there on a Saturday around 5:30 pm. The wait was about five minutes before I was able to order. Once I entered the actual shop, the only thing I could think about was how uncomfortably warm it was. They had a cute enough Christmas tree and a bit of seating but I couldn't comprehend how anyone was able to work in such a warm area. I got out as soon as I could because it was not worth waiting for my drink in there. The cashier who took my order was nice but a little rushed. She asked me what sweetness I wanted but I just kept it normal and that was the right choice. The drinks took about five minutes so nothing above average. I got the brown sugar earl grey milk tea with oat milk and no boba. It tasted very nicely of earl grey and was quite sweet which was the energy boost that I was looking for. Compared to other boba places, I thought for the price I paid, it was a pretty decent deal. My one friend got the same thing as me but not with oat milk and he was not impressed. I had a sip of his and it was not as sweet as my oat milk one even though he had the normal sweet level so I understand why he didn't like it. But then again, he's also not that big on tea. My other friend got the orange grapefruit green tea with boba. She thought it was okay. She isn't a boba fanatic so she wasn't in love with it but she found it refreshing and she said she liked the pulp in it. My other other friend got the mango milk tea with ice cream. At first he didn't like it because he was only sipping the bottom and the ice cream just sat on top but once he mixed in the ice cream, he enjoyed it a lot more.

Yelp
4+ Boba drink chain that originated from Taiwan. i've been to this place a couple times now. The people here are always friendly, but usually you just order from a terminal at the front where you customize your drink and purchase. Depending on how busy it is, the drinks come out really quickly. The vibe here is a pretty chill relaxed spot where you can grab delicious drinks on the go. The location is on the north side of the center on the second floor. I ordered the orange Yakult drink on my last visit and added some mini pearls. I'm not the hugest fan of Boba in general, but I thought the pearls would've been fun with added texture. The drink was made really quickly. This is a great place if you have a craving for delicious beverages.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my fav boba places in west LA! Their quality is top tier and the drinks are pretty big. My friend ordered my usual go-to which is the Orange Grapefruit Green Tea, 30% sweet w/ mini boba; it's so refreshing and isn't overpoweringly sweet at all/I don't get a headache after. I love the perfect balance of sweet and tangy from the citrus bits! But today, I opted for a Jasmine Milk Tea (w/ the same mods as above). I enjoyed that the notes of the tea were still bold, the drink overall didn't taste artificial, and the boba had the perfect chewy consistency. Every time I come here, there is a line as the interior is small but service is quick and they had a self-ordering station as well. They're located in Century City mall on the second floor near the container store (or just follow the scent of cinnamon rolls...) (;

Yelp
After trying boba from another Wushiland location and being disappointed in the milk tea, I decided to try another drink, but this time with triple shot. Earl Grey Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, Triple Shot w/ Boba ($6.49) - That's what I'm talking about! After visiting another Wushiland location and being completely disappointed at the lack of tea flavor, it seems like triple shot is just what I needed. Super strong earl grey bergamot flavor here balanced well with the creamer and half sugar, heck maybe even a bit too strong! I love the fact that Wushiland allows you to customize the amount of tea you get. Normal tea is for people who hate tea and just want to drink sweetened creamer. Triple shot is for people who drink tea every day. The boba here is perfection, super chewy, with the perfect texture. The only knock against this location is that they seem to give a little less boba than the other one I went to. But that's not really much to complain about given how stellar this drink is. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Wushiland is the epitome of combined affordability, tea quality, and boba texture. This chain will be my go-to boba whenever I'm in LA.

Yelp
Finally stopped by to try Wushiland Boba! We ordered: Roasted Oolong Milk Tea Ovaltine w/ boba Got the oolong 75% sweet & the ovaltine 50% sweet. I really liked how you can taste the tea in the oolong drink. My favorite was definitely the ovaltine, it tasted like delicious chocolate milk! I definitely want to come back to try the other drinks on the menu. What do yall recommend?
google avatar

Shilah A.

Yelp
Tried their Jasmine milk tea with boba (70% sugar, regular ice). For being less than regular sweetness, it tasted too sugary and artificial for me. The boba itself was on the harder side too, might have been an old batch, but it also didn't taste like anything. Not that great and there's definitely better options out there.
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
Generally, I'm a fan of Wushiland; however, the service experience isn't great at this Century City location on weekends. They're just so busy and they seem understaffed, which makes it tough for them and for consumers. Instead of waiting for long lines to order on a kiosk, I'd recommend putting in an order through their Wushiland App and picking up the drink at the counter when the app says it's ready. My go-to drink is a simple jasmine milk tea with honey and boba.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
This is my go-to, I looove to pair my milk tea with mini pearls and it's always so rewarding to slurped a scoop of pearls in my mouth. I got the earl grey milk tea this time with extra mini pearls, no ice for $7.11 and it's totally worth it. The tea is not too overpowering which I love. This is just a small (pop-up) store in Westfield mall so you order through a kiosk. Fast service and nice decor.

Yelp
While visiting, I was recommended this place and it's one of the better boba places in SoCal. Located inside the outdoor mall, it's not hard to find. FYI, it's on the second (top) floor. Place isn't spacious but it doesn't matter since it's an outdoor area w/ shopping stores from left to right. There's only one kiosk to order from so the line can get backed up. I ordered the ice cream GT w/ 30% sweetness and less ice. Really good. It's not aesthetically pretty looking but it tastes so much better. Staff are very friendly and kind which is a plus. Will definitely be back the next time I'm here.
google avatar

Serene A.

Yelp
The four seasons tea macchiato with all the topping that's they recommend on the menu was amazing. The tea is very full and their toppings are soft and well made. I hate when boba isn't soft, but their boba was softy and nicely chewy. Service was quick and they did it with a smile. It's a small grab and go shop with a self service teller or you can get assisted by a person to take your order if needed.
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
Wushiland had been on my list for a while, but my first visit left me disappointed. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba, expecting something special, but it tasted pretty generic and overly sweet. The boba itself was the biggest letdown--chewy but hard in the middle, which made it feel undercooked. To be fair, I got the last batch of boba before they ran out, so that might've played a role in the texture. Still, for a first impression, it didn't hit the mark. I've had much better boba elsewhere, so I don't see myself rushing back anytime soon.
google avatar

Justine K.

Yelp
It's always busy at Wushiland Boba, especially at the mall, but the line always moves fast. There's an ipad where you can order and also a worker that can take your order down. There are many options that you can choose from - milk tea, tea with ice cream, etc. I appreciate that they have a top 10 list and a caffeine list posted on the side wall for those who maybe can't decide or don't want to have caffiene. I've had the roasted oolong tea with the mini bubbles and it was pretty good. I really like that they have the mini bubbles option! This location doesn't have anywhere to sit or stand and hang out inside, but you can bring it out to the benches nearby throughout the mall.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
This place is awesome... it's nice to have a decent boba option in Century City. Customize your drink choice and toppings, sweetness level... the options seem endless. I had an ice green tea latte with boba and coconut jelly and 50% sugar, and it was the perfect summer afternoon snack.
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
This is my go to boba spot at the mall! The line can get long, but it is definitely worth it. There is an ipad for ordering or someone will take your order at the front. There is no seating, but plenty of seats to hang out within the mall. My go to is the orange green tea. They always give a generous amount of boba that is perfect texture. The orange juice tastes fresh and adds some pulp to the drink. Wushiland is a bit on the pricier side for boba. It is a great treat and makes my mall trips so much better!
google avatar

Zhao C.

Yelp
Ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (OMT) because most places I've been to don't offer a roasted version, and I really enjoyed the overall tea flavor! The 30% sugar level is still relatively sweet so if you're debating between 50% or 30% and don't like too sugary of a drink, I'd personally go with the 30%. I loved their mini boba topping option because the tiny boba balls are so much more fun to drink and chew haha! There was a line, but if you live here, I'd recommend ordering the drink directly for pick up from their app.
google avatar

Katherine Z.

Yelp
The drinks are excellent. The weather is very hot in the summer and isn't aren't a lot of cover to shield customers from the sun, but that seems to be the norm for other shops in Century City mall. I recommend getting drinks on 70% sweetness if you want a balanced flavor. I really liked the Regular Milk Tea as it's not overly sweet or intense in flavor. I went with a more refreshing drink and chose Orange and Grapefruit Green Tea. However, I felt that the regular drink was equally as refreshing and easy to sip even in the heat.
google avatar

Lyn H.

Yelp
Pretty good boba spot in West LA! Got the roasted oolong milk tea with mini pearls and ended up paying around $7. It's nothing standout, though to be fair we got a drink as basic as it gets, so take that with a grain of salt. Ordering is all self-serve on a kiosk, which is pretty common nowadays, and with a decent crowd on a Friday night we got our drinks in 5 minutes! There's no seating inside, but Century City has plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your boba in one place. Will definitely come back here to try their specialty drinks!
google avatar

Joycelyn N.

Yelp
This was the only drink that I got it was the Ice Cream Milk Tea and I got the tiny pearls but I did not really like them but maybe that's just a personal preference. Chewing them just felt so weird I think I would have liked it better if I got the regular pearls I do not recommend the smaller pearls. The drink was pretty good but kind of average for boba.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Appreciated the service! Was quick and small thing, but I noticed the server even handed the receipt with two hands (if you're Asian, you'll know haha). The drink tasted very fresh and I appreciated that they didn't add sweetener into the grass jelly like at some other places. The earl gray was perfectly refreshing on this summer day -- Earl grey got recently discontinued from my local sharetea, so I was happy to have it now :)
google avatar

Bradley B.

Yelp
Not the best boba out there by any means but if you're in the mall and are craving boba, it's fine. The tea doesn't taste the freshest but it's not bad and the drinks generally come out quick.
google avatar

Sana M.

Yelp
3.5-4/5 stars! the tapioca itself was pretty good & soft! i tried the brown sugar earl grey milk tea as well as the brown sugar black milk tea - both were similar and tasty. definitely brown sugar heavy but personally the drink doesnt compare to bay area boba lol still good if you're in the area and want a drink! the place itself is pretty small and gets crowded very quickly but i like how the location is in UTC!
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Got my drinks fast and I got the Earl grey tea with the tiny bobas which I enjoyed. Best part is there are chairs outside so it was good to just sit there and enjoy the drink. Overall had good milk and tea flavor balance.
google avatar

Ariana L.

Yelp
Tried Wushiland for the first time because a lot of people say it's good, and it did not disappoint! I got the milk tea with boba and grass jelly for roughly $7. It was a pretty big drink, so I can't complain too much about the price. The drink itself was good I'm my opinion. I could taste the tea, and it was pretty sweet, but I tend to like boba drinks on the sweeter side, so it was just right for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this drink, and I appreciated that you could pick two different toppings for no up charge!

Julieta G.

Yelp
Self-service place (order and pay on a tablet) that is very clean and efficient. The jasmine tea with boba and 30% sweetener was delicious. Generous portions--slightly too big for my preference, but I know that's an uncommon take!
google avatar

Judy S.

Yelp
Sad that this is the only option for boba at Century City mall. I'd rather have no boba than this. Way too sweet and tart.
google avatar

Darlene D.

Yelp
Wushiland Boba is at the top of my list for milk tea with boba! They introduced me to a drink I have never had before: milk tea with ice cream! They also have mini pearl boba which I have never had before either. The two combined are heaven! It is so delicious and is made to perfection. You can choose your sweet level, in addition to the ice level. They can get a bit busy so just be ready for a wait if you are going on the weekends. Also, they do not take cash. It's card only so make sure you bring your card! Their drinks are very unique and just good. I've had their grapefruit green tea with black jelly. That was really different from what I normally get. But it was really good! That jelly though is bomb! They definitely create a unique taste that you won't forget. Which is why I find myself coming back to try a different drink. Soon, I'll probably end up trying every drink they make. Ha ha!
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
The good: I got the orange yogurt drink that was caffeine free because I was sharing a drink with my toddler. I liked the self-ordering tablet option and how you can adjust the sweetness and ice level on the drink. I liked that the menu separated the caffeine free options. The interior was modern and bright. They're located on the second floor of the outdoor mall. I thought my drink was refreshingly cold and tasty. The bad: My drink was ready and sitting on the back counter while the front cashier person stood there not noticing it. I had to flag her attention to the prepared drink as my active toddler couldn't stand still and wait much longer. The drinks here are the most expensive boba I've ever purchased. It was almost $9. I don't recall there being indoor seating. The interesting: I'm unsure why there's a fish mascot but it's unique and cute.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
THE YAKULT GREEN TEA + COCONUT JELLY I love yakult and this was the best drink ever. It literally taste's like what it sounds like. I've honestly had yakult or yogurt drinks before but this is definitely the best drink I've had by far. The service was great and the drink came out within minutes! I definitely can see why there was a line out the door.
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Green milk tea with mini pearls - ordered as 50% sweet with no ice. super generous serving of mini boba (filled up half my cup!), boba was chewy, soft, and warm. since I ordered with no ice, my drink had strong floral flavor from the jasmine tea. I thought sweetness was perfect at 50% as the boba also add to sweetness since they are coated with brown sugar syrup. Service - friendly and quick :D
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Ive tried a couple wushiland boba spots in the past while traveling around Socal but this location in Century city was the first time I had one local to me. I remember hearing about this place and the drink that stood out was the Ice Cream boba tea which is not something you see very often at boba stores. The milk tea its self was pretty solid and boba was good. The addition of ice cream does add to the creaminess of the drink and fills my sweet tooth. It is a little more on the pricey side but well worth a try. Inside the location is tight as you wait for your drinks, but there's plenty of outdoor seating in the mall for you to enjoy your drink.
google avatar

Esther M.

Yelp
The storefront is cute and clean. I don't believe there's seating, they close exactly at 8 so if your order is not in by then they won't serve you. The boba is pretty hard and not chewy but the drink is good. I think if I came back it would only be if I was shopping around and not get boba. However the drink quality is pretty good!
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
Tried the ice cream milk tea with boba and it was fine. Nothing outstanding but definitely a solid drink. I'm not sure what was going on that day, but there was a sign posted that said they were out of Four Seasons tea, and then just a couple customers after me they said they were out of milk tea. It was only about 7pm, so kind of unfortunate for a boba place to run out of milk tea! This is a counter-only place in the Westfield Century City mall, so don't expect lots of places to sit, though you can probably find a bench in the mall corridors. Also including parking rates as of March 2024 bc the mall doesn't post them clearly online, only saying that the first hour is free. Note you can get some sort of validation from AMC or Gelson's ($10 min purchase).
google avatar

Linda Y.

Yelp
Amazing boba spot located in the century mall. It's sort of hidden! I love that they have non caffeine options. I got the yogurt grapefruit with boba and let me tell you they do not play when it comes to portions for boba. There's so much boba it's basically a meal. The other one was the four seasons boba tea and it was great! The staff here are super friendly and would recommended if you're in the mall!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Cool place for boba. Theres usually a line because other customers hope to catch a glimpse of someone famous since its in Beverly Hills. I hope wushiland expands outside of Taiwan and LA. I got a milk tea with tapioca. Wow. I have never been to a bubble tea shop that gave that amount of tapioca. That was the first time I wished for a higher volume of drink liquid as opposed to a larger amount of tapioca. My spouse got a yogurt drink. We both weren't a fan of it. Parking isn't as bad as I expected. The nearby parking garage gives a free 30 minutes.
google avatar

Hurjane V.

Yelp
I honestly love Wushiland - not sure if its a nostalgia thing, but it definitely is one of those very classic/solid boba spots that you can't go wrong with. They don't mess around with the trendy drinks, and only keep the usual stuff. This location is tucked inside the mall on the second floor. You order through a kiosk, and the workers prepare it behind you and call your number afterwards. Overall, pretty fast and efficient. Wushiland is delicious! Highly recommend trying it if you haven't already in Taiwan.
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
Pretty much right across Ramen Nagi so had to try it! You can order through the cashier or through the iPad. I ended up getting the roasted oolong with mini pearls. I was hoping for stronger tea flavor, but it tasted ok for the price of $6 ish. Taste: 3/5 Service: 4/5
google avatar

Jason Q.

Yelp
Wushiland Boba is my ride-or-die for milk tea with boba! The pearls? Absolute perfection. The prices? A rare win in this economy. It's the kind of spot you can always count on--consistent, delicious, and never lets you down
google avatar

Rita L.

Yelp
Stopped by for some bubble tea and wasn't too impressed with the oolong milk tea, a bit bland. Try something else for a better experience!
google avatar

Bevan C.

Yelp
I'm so glad that they added oat tea lattes to their menu! I ordered a Black Tea Oat Latte with Half Boba + Half Grass Jelly, 70% sugar, and less ice. They decorated the latte rly nicely, with the layer of black tea on top. The latte tasted great, a good amount of sweetness and a hint of tea. The tea is on the lighter side compared to most boba shops, and this place runs sweeter than most boba shops (recommend getting one increment of sweetness lower). The boba had a chewy texture sweetened with honey, and the grass jelly was soft and silky. The grass jelly was my fav topping, but both toppings tasted good. I suggest getting half toppings at this place (eg. Half boba, half grass jelly) cuz they fill boba 1/3 of the cup if you order one topping. Service was fast and online ordering was early. I def recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. 9.5/10

Yelp
Great Boba Expect to wait in a long line to sip some tea. The boba is really good and they have a lovely variety of flavors. This would have been a go to spot in my college years. They have kiosks where you can order from or friendly staff that can also help. I plan on returning for my boba fix

Yelp
Cool boba shop! Find them inside Westfield Century City Mall on the 2nd floor. The place was hopping when we got there. Lots of folks, but the staff did a wonderful job of creating the drinks and helping the customers in good time. The Ice Cream Milk Tea tastes fantastic. First time that I've been to a boba place that has ice cream in the drink as an option. Give it a try people.
