Meal was excellent. Bison Sausage was flavourful and savory. It paired really well with curry sauce and cabbage. + Duck fat fries and duck sausage. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

(August 2025) Pleasantly surprised by how good their snitzel was considering I did not have much expectation. Batter was light, I liked thin layer of meat. Highlight was their curry wurst sauce. This curry+apple+gravish sauce was a killer. Also liked cheese fries with smoked kiesalba cheese fries with lovely caramelized onions & smoked gouda. Yum. Their draft beer selection was pretty good. Enjoyed Bellwoods Lager & Pilsner Urquell on draft. (September 2025) It was Thursday evening around 5:30pm. They were already very busy with after work crowd and was hard to get attention to get menu & order food/drink. This time I tried Wild boar sausage on a bun with sauerkraut & jalapeno. It just tasted like a regular sausage. Nothing spectacular or anything.

The dirty duck fries have the nice curry sauce in it. But the peppers on it are extremely spicy. So be warned. I had the calbrese sausage which was pretty dry and bland to be honest. Wasn’t worth $13 at all. The sausages on the street meat carts outside Roger’s centre are better. Service was a bit slow.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely phenomenal experience at WVRST Union Station! We celebrated my BFF birthday there recently & it was perfect. The Porchetta sandwich was out of this world—juicy, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered the Sausage Platter, which was an absolute hit—each sausage packed with its own distinct, delicious character. The Bavarian pretzel was warm, soft, and authentically German, and the Chips & Dip (especially the house-made French onion dip) was addictive. What really elevated our visit was the outstanding service from Elsa—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. We had their cookie for dessert & it too was scrumptious!! Add to that the great ambience and lively vibe of the space—perfect for a casual bite or a relaxed catch-up with friends. WVRST at Union is a must-visit if you’re in or around the station. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you Elsa! Great job! 💯

Ordered a Pork Schnitzel with salad. Good portion and visually appealing. The server bringing me the food was enthusiastic. One suggestion is that the food could have been fresher given the price.

How can you not like the idea of a sausage and a beer. Wvrst has been around for years and the location at union is perfect. Large bench seating or at the bar. Lots of beer choices. Good selection of sausages and the bun they use is excellent. Fries are always great. Upgrade to the duck fat ones for a treat. The side of fries is more than enough to go with a sausage. Service is fast and friendly. They understand they cater to the commuter crowd. Recommend if you are looking for something different on your way home, to a game or just a good place to meet.

Have dined at Wvrst many times in the past because of the fun variety of their hotdog meats. While there's been some shrinkage over the years, it's still a good spot if you want to chow down on elevated hotdogs. Went recently and got: - Oktoberfest: great hotdog as usual. - Porchetta Sandwhich: pretty good size, a but too fatty and not roasted crunchy enough for me). - Chips and Dip: chips were overly salty but the french onion dip was one of the best I've had. It's a lively spot especially with the post work and pre game crowds. You used to have to go to a counter to order but now table service is provided. Prices are what prices are these days. Space is benches and booths, which adds to the casual vibe. A good spot if you want a chill meal and fun atmosphere.

Interesting beer, and a little bit on the sweet side but good, the pork was a complete surprise as I never tried this dish before nevertheless it was good especially with the sauce. The service was good, and the atmosphere was quiet. We were there at around 1:00 pm.
