What a beautiful gem! My brother & sister in law had their wedding here! Even with the rain & humidity it was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Wear comfortable walking shoes here as there is some uneven ground. If going for a wedding, wedge heels or thicker heals work best otherwise just come in flats.

A nice place I stumbled upon while on a city hike in Germantown. A few nice trees. Half food garden & half landscape. They had some gardeners n volunteers working when we arrived. We talked and discussed our pests n failures n attempts to adapt. Very nice. The volunteers were weeding and I believe getting some produce to take home. I would be into that. The neighborhood has many nice gardens. I took some pics

This is our little slice of heaven. Completely enclosed, these gorgeous grounds are maintained by a wonderful staff and there’s so much to offer. Honeyfest in the fall(pictured). Celebration of the Roses in the Spring. Events throughout the year. Historic house tours year round. The community farm that is maintained by a staff member and then supplemented by “Farm Club” twice a week. Opportunity to farm and get fresh produce. You don’t have to sign up you can just show up. They can also host events like weddings, and parties here for a very reasonable fee Come anytime and explore the gardens and walk around in nature. It’s an oasis. My kids love it!

This is a horticultural hotspot especially when the roses are in full bloom in early June! There so much history in Germantown and this is the epicentre.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Wyck House. The house dates back to the 17th Century and my visit provided an interesting view of the life and possessions of generations of Wyck House owners. The staff were very informative, gracious and provided an excellent tour of the house and grounds. The gardens are beautiful and there is a lovely vegetable garden. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the history of Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.

Our tour guide Kim S was very knowledgeable about the history of the property. She also did a great job keeping our kids’ attention, from preschool age to high school. Very impressive! We look forward to visiting again.

The Wyck house is in Germantown where you would least expect it! The volunteer tour guides are so nice and helpful, and they let you roam through the homestead garden. Visiting this house really got me interested in horticulture; I absolutely love their set up and it inspires me to create something similar one day!

Yelp
Wyck House Farmer's Market on Fridays from 2-6. (As of July 2016) Local organic vegetables in top quality, reasonably priced. So far, I found all their produce great. Sadly, the blueberries (and other berries) are usually gone 5 minutes after they open. Their local honey seems pricey but is worth every penny - it's like honey concentrate, extra sweet golden ambrosia. Also, thanks to the Philly Foodworks program they offer "Food Bucks" for EBT (Access) card holders, which basically amounts to a 40% discount. Way to go! The Wyck house itself is a beautiful historical landmark in East Germantown. Visit the rose garden in spring / early summer for a real treat!

Yelp
I must admit, we did not visit in peak season. In fact, we were far from it. The grounds are beautiful, my fiancee and I were looking for a wedding venue but the deal breaker was that we could not get use to the beautiful historic house.
