"If you’re not staying at the Hotel Xcaret, be sure to devote extra time to arrive at this restaurant, as it involves some navigation. However, once you’ve found it, you’re in for a treat. The cuisine has a definite French bent, which is perhaps no surprise given Chef Carlos Gaytán’s training, but there is nonetheless a confident use of distinctly Mexican flavors and ingredients. This is cooking with a clear sense of identity and strong technique, and noteworthy for bold, creative flavor combinations. The mushroom beignet decorated with a frilly crisp of cauliflower in a creamy truffle and mint sauce is a standout, as is the seared filet mignon with crispy potato mille-feuille garnished with house-cured ikura. Choose the wine pairing to learn more about Mexican wines." - Michelin Inspector

It’s really big, so maybe you need to wake up early for it. They have a lot of fun stuff, some things special that you need to pay more for it if you wanna play it, like swimming with dolphins, stingray, stingray sea trek… however you gonna feel so happy with that, they still have a lot entertainment show all day, specially night shows admission, you can have a dinner table when watching the show. We highly recommend this park, the one you never forget when you travel to Mexico. Love it, we will come back

Google
Unbelievably amazing experience. The evening show left me in tears it was so beautiful. The entire park is gorgeous, a passion project of people who love their land, love nature, work to protect animals and plants and help them thrive. A love letter to Riviera Maya. Worth every penny for the Plus experience even with the high price. We spent twelve hours there and still didn’t see everything so we will be back. Don’t miss out on the River swim!!!

Google
This park was truly one of the best amusement parks I have ever seen! It is expensive, but if you can buy the plus experience, I recommend it as it includes free lockers, snorkeling, a free meal, and transportation from a resort. The underground river float was really cool, but a long swim for our young children who were freezing by the time we got to the beach. (Mayan river) The restaurants were awesome! We stayed for two meals to experience the show at the end of the day, and paid for the second buffet at $45/per person. The food was excellent at both and they both offered a great selection. The features were truly world class with the scuba area being my favorite. The beach was nice and well kept, just a little small. The animal experiences were cool as well and worth visiting. The kids area was unlike anything I’ve ever seen - it was a jungle gym course with the water slides built in! It also had swimming areas and other small things for kids to do. The shows and entertainment were world-class and some of the best I have ever seen! We spent an entire day here and STILL did not do everything, I may look at staying at the resort next time as this gives you access to all the parks.

Google
Xcaret Park is definitely a beautiful place with stunning scenery, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. We found there wasn’t much to do in terms of actual activities— outside of the additional fee activities… instead, it felt more like a sightseeing park focused on walking, historical exhibits, plants, and animals. The swimming areas were very crowded and, honestly, not well-maintained. The water wasn’t as clean as we expected for such a popular destination. If you’re looking for more adventurous activities, be prepared to spend a lot—many of the additional experiences come with a hefty price tag. Overall, it’s more of a leisurely, educational stroll than an action-packed adventure. While we appreciated the beauty and cultural aspects, it just wasn’t the right fit for us.

Google
What an amazing park. Even if you stay all day at the park you will not see or do everything in one day. The closing show is a beautiful experience, do not miss it. The underground river is amazing. The Maya show at Maya City was excellent. The colors of the costumes are so vibrant that it captivates your imagination as how it must have been at their top of their civilization.

Google
This park is excellent. This is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen the way that they constructed it around the natural beauty of the area is fantastic. If you plan to visit just don't miss the butterfly pavilion and the aviary they are some of the best I have seen. The park offers a wide variety of buffet style restaurants for your chosing. There are plenty of free as well as paided activities. I would advise arriving early so that you have time to explore and don't feel rushed. I would highly recommend the show as it is fantastic!

Google
Our visit to Xcaret Park was, without a doubt, a wonderful experience for me, my wife, and my son. From the moment we arrived, the entire check-in process was extremely smooth and well organized. Even though there were quite a lot of people arriving at the same time, we didn’t experience any delays getting in; the service was quick and efficient, allowing us to start enjoying the park right away. The facilities are impeccably maintained and have excellent safety measures in place, which made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the day. We chose the admission option that included access to the buffet, and it was an excellent decision. There are several buffets you can visit once per day, and the one we went to exceeded our expectations with the quality and variety of the food. Overall, it was an unforgettable day in a spectacular place, perfect for spending time as a family and creating memories we will always treasure.

Google
I'm delighted with the visit to Xcaret. Even when it was raining all day long, we enjoyed the day. I recommend taking a 2 day tour to the park because there are so many activities and areas to visit. The final show was a spectacle included in the ticket the place had so many amenities and fabulous restaurants to choose from. I'll visit again to enjoy more of it

Yelp
An amazing place. Natural entertainment park for all aged. Seatrek reminded me of the submarine at Disneyland, but this was with real fish next to the bay and natural surroundings. Dolphins experience was well worth extra expense and the premium was well worthwhile. We had the experience to ourselves and extra 15 minutes. These dolphins were so gentle. Swimming in the for 1/4 mile was very refreshing and a must. Natural river underneath the park is rare. The last show was one of the greatest I've seen and it was free for everyone. The story showed the history of the evolution of Mexico and we had dinner during the show. But pricey with 12 different dishes but probably won't do it again. Buffet that was included with our pass was awesome. Shashimi was in a big block which they carved the fish every order. Great variety with good quality and great taste. Some of the processes and technology was better than the theme parks in California. MUST see when visiting this area.

Yelp
What a Fun park! Xcaret was simply amazing! So much beauty and nature surrounding this location. Animal interactions and a lot of entertainment. This park was so clean and easy to get around it. You will do a lot of walking. Bring good walking shoes! I recommend getting the picture package! You'll get the most amazing pictures with the best angels and views. Def a place for children. It is on the pricey side of parks but we thought it was worth it.

Yelp
Pretty fun theme park to visit if you're in Cancun, especially with kids. You can book tickets directly or through 3rd party sites. I booked mine through Expedia for about $350+ for 2 people which included transportation from the hotel, a buffet lunch, entrance fee, and access to the Plus facilities. You want the PLUS because you'll get lockers, free access to their snorkeling equipment, and your own pathway to the underground river. Most important reason is really the lockers because--- who wants to be carrying a huge, heavy bag around all day? Buses drop you off around 9 ish. It was recommended that we hit the underground rivers first because it tends to get crowded later in the day. I'm not sure about this tip because I saw the rivers were practically empty after lunch time......Perfect for your pictures. When we went, it was hard to get pictures without random faces because people were everywhere. Also, either have water shoes or use their snorkeling slippers. It'll make you less tired. The river itself took 1-2 hours--you might even see bats in the cave. Note that there are no private showers, just open air rinses that are very chilly. For lunch, we were given a couple choices and were recommended Oaxaca Restaurant. For a buffet I guess its decent. Nothing super impressive. BE AWARE~the back table has a section with dried crickets. I sprinkled some on my food thinking they were dried spices.......only to toss the whole plate and go back for a new plate of salad not noticing more BUGS in the salad! Yes, they were meant to be in the food. On the other side of the park you'll have lots of sea animals and an entire section to snorkel. We didn't see this section until we got changed and were too lazy to go back in, otherwise would have been great! Lots of sea animals to see in that area too~giant turtles, alligators, sharks etc. Theres also a lot of other animals such as monkeys, flamingos, jaguars etc. We didn't end up staying for the nighttime show because the buses either leave at 4 pm or 9pm...something like that. Its all or nothing lol---we were spent by the time 2 pm rolled around so we left. Lockers also close early so you'll be lugging your stuff around the park if you stay. **Make sure you get the photo package!! Expensive but well worth it. You'll scan your wristband throughout the park and get photos with great backgrounds. They count your pricing per head.

Yelp
Before going to Mexico, I spent some time reading reviews on Google Maps to get an idea of what to expect. Everyone said stay for the 7 PM show at the park and I second that. It offers a captivating journey through Mexico's history through acting, dancing, songs, and storytelling. However, be prepared for a full day of exploration. We arrived around 11 AM and stayed until 8:30 PM! Renting a locker is advisable, and bringing an empty water bottle to refill throughout the day proved to be a wise choice. We opted not to rent towels for drying off and instead settled at the Rock bar for a late lunch. This decision saved us from spending $40+ on a buffet as we didn't have big appetites. Afterward, we headed to the tidal pools to swim with fish (I brought my own goggles, but snorkeling gear is available for rent elsewhere). Taking advantage of the chairs and hammocks for a nap was a much-needed respite, especially after a morning of walking and river adventures. For those who aren't confident swimmers, rent fins to help you move along...it's almost a mile i think. The park's surroundings are truly enchanting. Make sure to explore the bird and butterfly exhibits and marvel at the giant sea turtles. Don't miss the beach inlet with its floats for use - it's a serene spot for relaxation. Among the many parks I've visited, this one stands out as my favorite, thanks to its rich infusion of Mexican history. As you leave the butterfly area, be sure to go up these outdoor stairs (about 60 of them and it looks like a pyramid) and admire the mini structures, offering insights into Mexico's architecture. Remarkably, this park is quite affordable compared to others of its kind. Additionally, the weather during our visit was perfect, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

Yelp
I'm going to start by saying it's the price that immediately lowers the stars for me. We paid nearly $400 (park + bus transportation + lunch) and it did NOT meet expectations. If you're staying *at* one of the hotels and it's included, great. If you're making a day trip from Cancun, not so much. The bus picked us up bright and early (7am, but hey, it's vacation!) and everything felt very organized. For much of the 45 minute drive, the host explained what to expect, what to do, where to go, etc. It was in Spanish and I could catch a lot of it but the condensed English version was appreciated. We did every possible included activity, trying to make our $400 worth it, but it was just...meh. The best part of the day was the underground river which is more a light swim than a float for those trying to decide. It was cool and relaxing and had some beautiful spots along the way. There are multiple buffet restaurants but the one we chose was just all right. It did have a great view. Seems like the first one closer to the entrance was the most popular. Honestly, we just couldn't imagine staying all the way to the night show so we took the early bus home. For the record, MANY MANY people did the same based on length of the lines to board and our completely full bus. I love nature and adventure and exploring but FOR ME, this was just not worth the money.

Yelp
I would recommend going to the Xcaret park towards the beginning of your trip because it can give you a wonderful little insight into Mexico's biodiversity, is a relaxing atmosphere, and keeps you energized with all the walking you can do traversing back and forth to explore all the nooks and crannies. It was also one of the least confusing activities we did all week. Because we we there during the day, it was very refreshing to spend 40+ minutes swimming down the partially underground tunnels. We did one tunnel without the free fins and the second go around in the other tunnel with the complementary fins (which I loved). Your all-day Plus entry gets you access to some live performances as well as the Espectacular show at 7 PM, one admission to any of the buffets on site, two river swims, a locker, and more. There are many more paid activities and several resort-style beach relaxation areas. We paid $136/person for the Xcaret Plus (bundled with the Xplor Fuego) with the photo pass. I was very excited for the Espectacular show which has a display of the Pre-Hispanic Ballgame where the players hit the ball with their hips. They also, to my surprise, played a sort of fire hockey that was exciting.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. Two stars only because it has a pretty view. I wish I could get my money back. I can't believe I got suckered into coming to this money pit of place. I really wanted to like it, but with all the natural of beauty this area of Mexico has to offer, I'm sad I wasted a day here. First off, they round you up like cattle and if you look a little lost, and ask for information, the people there look at you like you are crazy. They aren't helpful at all. Finally we made it to the tunnel which is freezing cold. If you purchase the photo package, you can wait in lone with all the other people taking pictures holding up the line in the tunnel. It's so cheesy the way they try to make it look so natural. I almost felt as if I was in an interactive zoo. For 4 adults, $900 I was not exited to be there after stepping in. We were there a total of 2 1/2 hrs. And it was about 1pm when we left. There was no way we were going to try and make it to the later show. We did get the plus which included a buffet lunch. Do not eat the raw seafood as good as it may seem! My husband went against his own rule and he payed for it. When I go back with my kids, we will definitely skip this and go explore a cenote or anything else.

Yelp
We did the Xcaret adventure we did a couple hours of the park going on one of their boat tours in through the parks. We went to the evening show, which was absolutely amazing and well worth the hefty price that we paid which was over $700 in US dollars it was a seven course meal during the show. Which my favorite part was when they brought out what appeared to be elderly people with masks on doing a dance, then come to find out it was actually elderly people and it's not often that elderly are seen a part of the community at their age, which was amazing, and actually made me cry. It was so beautiful to watch the different regions and their dancing and clothing attire.

Yelp
El mejor lugar para visitar estando en Cancún co rios subterraneos, snorkel, animales marinos a tu alcance y el espectacular show musical al final.

Yelp
I truly wanted to like this park. We booked 2 nights at the Xcaret Arte Hotel just to have access to the parks. I know you can purchase tickets just for the parks, but after crunching numbers, even with the $900 per night, it made sense financially. The hotel/resort, is amazing! I will review that separately. On to the park. There isn't much to do there that isn't "additional cost" yes there are dolphin encounters, speed boat rides, swimming with sharks, snorkeling and more. All additional. For the hight ticket price of this place, it's not worth it. I guess once you've been to places like Disney, Sea World or any zoo (small or large) what it's offered here is pretty lack luster. The best of it all to me was the sea turtles swinging around in one of their ponds, and the aviary. There is a butterfly house as well but it had 3 butterflies total!!! Absurd really. The biggest "included" activity here is swimming along a river, which I could not do. That's all it is, Swimming as long as you want along this river. There are other things to see such some animals and whatnot, but like I said, very little. There are shows you can see. We saw the Flying Men, which is an intangible Unesco sight. That was pretty cool. There is also a horse show that was good. The buffet style restaurants, including alcohol, were included with out stay at the hotel. Which at $50 USD per person (alcoholic drinks not included) was a great savings for us. We did one for lunch and one for dinner. This all leads to the biggest culminating show of the park which is the Xcaret Espectacular. It is a look of Mexican culture through song and dance. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It was unnecessary long and loud. I can appreciate the effort they put into it and the pride of their culture, but it was just not for me. It's two hours long and after half an hour I just wanted to end. The worst part is that we would not be able to catch a bus back to the hotel until the show was over. All in all it wasn't a great experience for me. When I got back to the hotel, I was so exhausted and it was so late. Most of the restaurants at the resort were closed. I feel I could have enjoyed staying at the hotel that I paid top dollar for, all day and not I miss a thing. At least I did it, I know what it is and know I wouldn't do it again .

Yelp
This place was so much fun and amazing. If you're in Cancun, you need to spend a day here. There are 4 different buffet style restaurants, food is yummy and from different parts of Mexico. They have lockers and so much to see and do here. The show and the end of the night is an absolute MUST, so get your tickets as soon as you arrive at the park in the front cause it sells out quickly every day. We got our show tickets with dinner and the dinner was spectacular...I think it was an 8 meal course. Bring money, sun block, towel, shoes, and a hat. And you're all set. Oh and bring a waterproof phone holder so your phone doesn't get wet when taking pictures. We had a blast and I'm so glad we went. They do sell snacks and drinks everywhere including at the beach locations. Have fun!

Yelp
I recently had the opportunity to visit Xcaret Mexico this past week during my birthday trip! It did not disappoint. My family and I joked that this is the equivalent of Disney for Mexico, but so much better. I cannot speak for the value of the park alone, as we stayed at Xcaret Artė and all Xcaret parks were including during our stay, but needless to say, it did not disappoint. I only wish we had more time to explore all this park has to offer! This is one of the only Xcaret parks that is open on a Sunday, it is also their first park and by far the largest. Just a few minutes away from the resorts, it offers a full day of activities from relaxing to more active! This park is MASSIVE! Though it is helpful to have a game plan of what you want to do or see, they do have maps all through out and suggested routes that are even color coordinated on the pathways. You start the entrance in their huge gift shop, where you can also book additional excursions that require a booking or additional charge. From there you can head to the lockers, listed as Xcaret Plus on the black route and store your goods and get a life vest if you want to float through the river. We opted for the "white" route first before we went floating, which highlights the Jaguars (Sadly this exhibit was under renovation), the butterfly and aviary, beautiful pathways through waterfalls, the Community Event Invitementary, shops and lots of other things in between! It is a gem. I was able to feed a butterfly straight from my hand and the animals in the park were absolutely beautiful. The shops they offer are so unique, from leather goods, to carved wooden goods, jewelry, clothes and are surprisingly affordable. It was really a beautiful path and offered a lot of natural fauna and nature highlights as most of the park does. Once we finished that route, we grabbed our jackets and went floating down the blue line! Refreshing needless to say, bit chilly at first, but comfortable on a hot day. The map offers many exits and lets you know the distance to the next week. It seems as all the paths spit you out in a similar area. it is such a unique experience floating through the caves. Most of it seemed around 6-8 ft deep. Once we completed our float, we walked along the beach, took a brief nap in the hammock and enjoyed the views. We did not even scratch the surface, but as all vacations, there is never enough time! They have ample restaurants, that were also included in our visit! A massive buffet, with delicious margaritas and ample food options. They even brought me out a birthday cake! In the evening, they host a show highlighting Mexico's culture, we wish we had a chance to see it, it runs about two hours, but it will definitely be on the list for our next visit. This is an amazing park highlighting Mexico's nature and easily can spend the entirety of one's day here! Was a perfect way to spend my birthday! :)

Yelp
You can definitely spend a few days exploring the park. Lots of fun activities and many are paid activities... some require reservation. Bring cash (preferably in Peso). Lots of cool parts in the park to explore and hang out. Most of the seating areas by the beach are used for guests ordering from the restaurants. Even if the park is empty, you have to order food to use the beach seatings. Don't miss the Underground River activities- super worth it. Water is refreshing

Yelp
Came recently during vacation, and Xcaret was great!! Highly recommend the lazy river swim, which took about 40 minutes from start to finish. It was so much fun! For most of it, you can kind of chill and the current will bring you along the river. There's a few areas where some kicking will be involved, but definitely check this out. Following our swim, we walked through the park for the rest of the day. There's plenty to see - the aviary, butterfly pavillion, aquarium, sea turtles, beach, and more! At night, there's also a 2-hour show that is widely popular, so get there early. Admission price for a day pass through our resort booking was $116 per person, or $156 with the all inclusive food option. It was close enough to Occidental Xcaret that we decided to just make the walk back to our resort for lunch. I only wish that there were more AC'd spots within the park for even a bit of relief. It was insanely hot and humid when we visited, and a bit of AC would have been AMAZING. The only spot we managed to find with decent AC was the aquarium, and quite a few others had the same idea to just stay there for a bit.

Yelp
We chose Cancun as our vacation destination because of Xcaret! It was everything we had hoped for and more. The activities were easy to purchase and very easy to navigate to once inside the park. One thing to Note! If you plan to take your hotel shuttle to and from Xcaret there are only 2 return times 4:00 and 9:00pm. There can be up to over 30 stops which is just insane. Take a cab back to your hotel.

Yelp
Had a great experience here . It's worth the money . The show wasn't bad but I was so tired and was ready to leave.

Yelp
Soo fun! I visited XCARET! Both times when I visited Cancun. The activities are so fun and buffet was yummy, had lots of fresh foods. Highly recommend the river swim, visiting the aquarium, and taking lots of pics! The photo package they offer was pretty worth it since I came with a big group. Xplor was my fav park out of the xcaret parks

Yelp
This is another place that I visited where there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. If you are visiting Cancun and haven't been to Xcaret before, it is almost a MUST do. It is an ALL day event so make sure to bring comfortable and water friendly shoes as well as a change of clothes for the wonderful night show. We started off by snorkeling down the river which was so fun! not exactly phone friendly, so I strongly recommend you get the photo package they offer. The photo package comes out to about $33 per person for unlimited photos at the many "Xelfie" stations they have as well as personalized photo shoots with the various photographers located throughout the park. DEFINITELY worth it, the photos were amazing. The night show is incredible and certainly worth staying for. I highly recommend taking a hammock nap by the beach at some point in the day for a recharge! The natural pools are also out of this world.

Yelp
There are more than one Xcaret Park! It should be separate out on yelp to provide better distinctions! # RESERVATIONS ACTIVITIES # + Xenotes Enigmatic Waters Tour (5/5) = Xenotes is the only Cancun tour that takes you to visit the four types of cenotes (sinkholes) that exist in nature: semi-open, the open gran cenote, ancient, and the cavern blue cenote. Our tour guide ... made it so much fun!! This activity does require a little physical activities... Because we did a day full of assisted rappel, zip-lines, kayaking, exploration swimming, and cliff jumping. If you cannot swim, the guides can help you and teach you to conquer your fears! Lunch and snacks was provided throughout the experience. + Xcaret Xei Ha Hidden World (4/5) = Xel-Há in Tulum is a natural water park, with unlimited snorkeling, food, and beverages! There are plenty of activities you can do that makes this trip unique, such as (require additional money): Dolphin encounter, manatee encounter, power snorkel, and more. If you do not wanna pay extra for these extra encounters... There are plenty of free activities included in this park. + Xavage (5/5) = This was one of my most favorite parks!! Xavage by Xcaret is an electrifying park where you can see how adventurous you want to be and feel the adrenaline pumping. Six different activities are waiting for you. Enjoy the Zip-line Xavage, a Monster Truck ride, Rafting in the only whitewater rapids in Cancun and having a full-speed adventure on a Jet Boat. + Xoximilco (4/5) = The Mexican parties are the best, and on the water, even better! Hop on a colorful Mexican gondola that will take you on a tour through the canals of Xoximilco Cancun while you taste the best of Mexican cuisine. Get in the mood with an open bar of beer and tequila, in the company of new friends, mariachi music and a fun personal host. Surrender to the party ambiance of Xoximilco Cancun. Make sure the people you invite are the fun party type! # ACTIVITIES NO RESERVATIONS # + Xplor (5/5): Challenge the heights with the fourteen Riviera Maya and Cancun zip-lines including the highest in the entire destination. On the surface, you will drive an amphibious vehicle (ATV) in the jungle, over bridges and through caverns. Live the thrill of rafting down our Toboganxote, a 5-in-1 waterslide that ends in a wave pool. Underneath the planet, you'll raft and swim through stalactites rivers, as well as go on an underground expedition to reveal the secrets hidden beneath. + Xsenes (2/5):Xenses is the only half-day theme park in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya to rediscover your senses. Feel like a bird on the Bird Flight zip-line or slide in the fast waterslide that leads into a cavern. You'll question reality when you visit Town, where you don't know if you're going up or down, if up is down or down is up, and let your senses guide you in Xensatorium, a cavern in pitch black darkness that houses all the ecosystems of the planet. Open your perception to the hidden optical illusions in Xenses, a Cancun theme park where nothing is what it seems. + Xcaret Mexico (4/5): Spend a whole day among underground rivers, jungle, the Caribbean Sea, shows, tropical wildlife and much more. Enjoy more than 50 activities in Cancun included in your admission ticket to Xcaret Park. Fall in love with Mexico at the presentation of Xcaret Mexico Espectacular, a show in Cancun with more than 300 artists on stage that takes you on a journey through the history and legacy of an entire country. And of course, be sure to visit the Coral Reef Aquarium, the Aviary and The Butterfly Pavilion. OVERALL = I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO ALL OF THEM!

Yelp
Such an incredible park! I recommend bringing a lot of pesos as most things are in pesos. Average price of doing activity is $90 per person! But it's worth it! We did the floating down the river to the beach. Once you walk in to the entrance it's like a theme park. Only difference is you have to pay to play. I anticipated this cost before my trip. I want to come back here and try the other xcaret parks! The last show is amazing free and gets really busy! So much work went into it!

Yelp
My Husband and I had a blast!! First of all if you get the plus tickets the lunch buffet is free, since we got there early we had breakfast but it has a cost of $17 per person which is not bad and its a big buffet. The underground river is a MUST and the best one is the Mayan Riviera, it has spectacular seneries, Wear comfortable shoes because you are going to walk a lot. Stay for the Night Show you will love it! It has dances of several regions from Mexico and the animals are beautiful! We Will come back soon!!

Yelp
This place is definitely expensive lol I think we paid $40 each for the breakfast buffet which was good but did not have that many options and the lines were a bit ridiculous and the juice was watered down BUT I did enjoy the cenote rivers they were included in our admission and they were so cool and fun to experience although beware one of them you swim in a bat cave with real bats and I didn't like that at all, maybe I missed a sign lol but there's also a ton of animals which I loved and it was a huge park with a lot to do. I paid extra for the adrelina boat which I think i underestimated how intense that really is so beware because it's definitely dangerous lol but the crew was fun but overall it's a bit overpriced

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at this park. We didn't stay all day but the activities we did were fun. We swam the river. Not being a great swimmer, I was glad they made you wear life vests, so I survived a near death experience. Despite the hubby saying I wasn't gonna die, I beg to differ. We also did the manta ray treck, which was amazing. I brought an underwater camera, and they allowed me to take my own pics as well, which was awesome! Those manta rays are amazing and feel so soft! Our tickets included a buffet meal, which was tasty. And there's nice walks you can take around the park and just enjoy the scenery.

Yelp
We loved Xcaret! We had so much fun and it took us three days to see the park. Our favorite was the underwater rivers. Our 7 year old was a little scared so consider that cuz it is dark in some places.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I am so glad we found this park, it has so much to offer! On our visit we enjoyed the Underground River, Snorkeling, the Adrenalina Boat and the evening show. We did purchase the plus package, so we got a buffet meal at one of the restaurants included. A couple of helpful tips/suggestions; 1) the park admission does not include activities (e.g. snorkeling, scuba diving, etc..., you pay for those separately) 2) do purchase the photo package, it is reasonably priced and it allowed for some good photos, 3) you do not need to rent a locker at the main entrance, for every activity we did each one was able to accommodate our belongings with secured bags and/or lockers, 4) you can pay for the activities at each specific station but if you want to make a reservation then make those at the front counter at the park entrance, 5) make sure you have plenty of single dollar bills or small denomination bills for tipping. * UNDERGROUND RIVER: This is an excellent, relaxing activity (and one of the few free activities included in ticket price). We really enjoyed just floating down the river, and leisurely seeing scenic views and wildlife. The river is roughly 6 feet deep, I couldn't touch the bottom in the middle but my husband could at some points. I do wish they would have spaced people out, there were a couple times where we would swim ahead and find pockets to avoid people. Do be prepared to bump into other people, and expect lines for the picture points. There are definitely parts of the river that are enclosed in rock (like a cave tunnel) and lighted with underwater lights but it does get very dark. There is also a rope that lines the entire river for people to grab onto if needed and there are multiple exit points along the way if you don't want to do the whole river. I don't remember the exact distance but it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete the river if you are floating and stopping to take pictures. * OCEAN SNORKELING: Our guide was Veronica who was very sweet and was a great guide for our group. The overall activity is about 2 hours, you do take the boat out to a special habitat. On our "dive" we saw lots of fish, two stingrays and one sea turtle, it was amazing! She took us around and over the coral which was beautiful. The water was very warm and so clear! This was a great experience and I think I may developed an interest in snorkeling anywhere tropical. * ADRENALINA BOAT: Our captains were Pablo and Tomas and this was a unique treat. The boat takes you out into the ocean (you can easily still be seen from land) and they after picking up enough speed will do turns/spins and get splashed. You will also do immersions, which amazingly turned out to be my favorite. After picking up enough speed they will submerge the front of the boat which will put you under water for roughly 3 seconds, it's crazy but FUN! The overall activity is just under 30 minutes.

Yelp
**BEWARE** This place is a tourist trap. They tried giving me change back in counterfeit bills and tried charging us double when we ate at the place on the beach at stop #35. Everything is overpriced and the animals weren't in their exhibits. The place is very unsanitary. The hut selling bread and coffee was infested with flies. Avoid this park at all costs!

Yelp
This place was awesome. This was our second time going and it was even better this time. The people that work there were so organized and helpful for any little question we had. Now they have photo opportunities everywhere which makes getting the memories so much easier. There is a barcode that is activated when you check in for the day and you scan it all around the park at their photo areas and it snaps a pic of you. Super helpful and a lot of the locations are in areas you would love to have a pic in and if you didn't have this service, would likely not get a pic or might forget or would not be so easy using your handheld phones or cameras. Such as the rivers; each river has various photo spots throughout them to stop for a quick pic. Just float to the side, scan your code and it gives you a few seconds to pose and it snaps the pics. Then you go home and download the pics later. I loved it. A meal at one of their various restaurants is typically included in your ticket which is nice. Not all the food is great but there is some items that are really good. Also, each stand around the park has all kinds of stuff you might need to purchase such as water shoes/socks, sunscreen, snacks, non-alcohol drinks, and alcohol too (hard and beer etc). So you can keep sipping all day long. I love it. Looking forward to going back some day. Oh and Xcaret has a lot of other parks and excursions around Cancun which are also very well organized. We did the Catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres and that had a stop for snorkeling, a stop at a private beach location with a buffet and then another stop at another beach with access to the small town area which had a lot of shops. The Catamaran ride also had open bar all day long which was nice. Highly recommend this trip as well.

Yelp
I don't normally write negative experience but consider this a warning to the customers and a plea to management of xcaret. We had lunch at one of the seafood buffets and during the five mins we were there I saw three times birds perched feeding on the foods of the buffet bar. I cant even imagine how many times it must have happened throughout the day. The employee or the customers shooed it away but didn't bother to change the food. No one else seemed bothered by it but I was so disgusted with the thought of eating the food that was actually touched by potentially disease infested birds I got the hell out. They should have completely enclosed lids so animals cant get into the buffet food. But my daughter really enjoyed their soft serve ice cream :) As for the park, it's very big and not much to do except for floating in the river which was beautiful. But not sure if it was worth the price of the entrance fee. I would recommend bringing your own waterproof pouch for your phone if you want pictures in the river.. unless you want to spend four times the price at the park or pay for the photo opt from the park. Water shoes are recommended but we did barefoot and was fine. We didn't stay for the show, the day was too long and the show was at seven with not much to do beforehand.

Yelp
Once again the Magical Xcaret park in Cancun does not DISSAPOINT! This time we swam in an underground river for 45 minutes, it was incredible! We also did the sea tek diving, and saw sting rays and different colored fish,......so beautiful, Im blessed to have done this in my lifetime...iXcaret is so beautiful!! Clean, with restaurants throughout the park, they have 2 out of this world shows that are a Must see!!...come try Ixcaret!! Thank you!!

Yelp
This park has something for everyone. It has pools, snorkeling, rivers and animals. No crazy adventurous stuff unless you want to pay extra like for the speed boat adventure or the scuba diving or swimming with dolphins or sharks. They have lots of different restaurants buffet style and they are so good!

Yelp
A must see while in Cancun. I've been here before, decades ago and things have changed. It's an amazing park with SO MUCH to do. First off, they show you right away just how safe you are. When we arrived there was a Mexican soldier at the gate holding an M4. He ain't playing with you, and he wanted ALL the smoke! I feel so bad for all the workers wearing masks in this weather. It's about 100+ degrees and humid AF! Meanwhile there are OVER 4,000 PEOPLE wandering around coughing on everyone and crammed into an underground cave. Anyway, I digress. Be sure and bring tons of money too. They get you with the over priced pictures. They now have cameras all over the park. You scan your wrist band and pose. At the end you can purchase all the digital pics for $90. I regret not taking more than 6. Lol The items they sell are super over priced too. A rash guard was $58 dollars, a towel was $30, etc. Try to do as much as you can BEFORE you eat your one and only meal. Make it worth it because you can only eat once. The show is the most amazing show I've ever seen in all my entire put togethers. I've never been prouder of being Mexican! Racists pay close attention, this performance will show you what we are about! Please note that you can return at 430 or 930. If you stay for the show you will return at 930. We had small kids in tow so we left early. The kids did lots of things and had tons of fun. Leaving at 430pm was great for them. Ps Bring a water proof cell phone/money protector A plastic water bottle to refill at the water stations Water shoes because there are sharp rocks in the cave and the snorkeling area Bring eco friendly sunblock so you don't destroy the reef with your chemicals Extra set of clothes Take lots of pics using their automated cameras Bring LOTS of money

Yelp
I have to say that my previews review was a bit unfair so I feel the need to update it . Lol Well morning and noon, lunch included in Xcaret is horrible, food is terrible, the best I had was an energy bar I had on my bag and a Red Bull I bought. .food in the restaurant is disgusting..... Leaving that apart, we had a great time after 3 pm. My recommendations.: -Do all the NO WATER attractions and wait till afternoon to get in the rivers. It is horrible in the morning. For some reason they want the flow to do to the water and then do the other things, do the opposite. -we really liked EL AVIARIO ( where they have all the birds, is super nice, is like a jungle, with plenty of shade and birds) -We did the Maya river after 4 pm and it was beautiful, almost empty, we had a great time, the blue river was also empty, so remember DO THE RIVERS AFTER 4 pm. You'll have 3 hours to do it as the close at 7 pm If you have to pick a river pick the Maya River, which is way nicer than the Blue river I don't know what's the big thing about it, I found the Maya to be better. -Watch the show but do not buy the dinner it was horrible . I eat only the dessert because the rest was bad, also it is everything to Little,or is like a spoon by plate . Not kidding, they went minimalist, but like really minimalistic . -Leave the show a few minutes before it is over, if all those people leave at the same time, traffic will be horrible, and getting out of the parking a nightmare. (I'm talking about the last show at 7:45 pm) Overall the experience was not that bad, just don't go with the flow, analyze and see what people are doing and do the opposite and you will have a much nicer and calm experience.

Yelp
All day fun with a fabulous show at night. Restaurant just inside the entrance is best. You can have dinner or just see the show.

Yelp
The phrase that best describes this place is "eco park". It is a huge theme park but was built out of pre-existing rivers and jungle. It is definitely one of the more unique attractions that one can visit during a visit to Cancun. My main criticism is that it is overpriced. Just the basic ticket is $100 and includes mainly just access to the grounds. As soon as you enter, they give you a life jacket and then you must swim down a long river that goes underground and through caverns at several points. This is a great introduction to the park and if you get tired, you can get off at exits along the way. After that, the basic entry lets you hang out at the beach, walk some trails, and visit the zoo area. There is a butterfly garden, aviary and aquarium. There is also a horse show and then at night, there is a two hour song and dance show inside the stadium that shows the history of Mexico from the Mayans to the Spanish conquests to the different regions of the present day. The show itself is spectacular and is on par with something you would see at a Cirque du Soleil. However, if you want dinner at the show, that is extra. If you wanted to eat at the lunch buffet during the daytime, that is extra. And all of the exciting things cost extra. These include things like parasailing, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, the speedboat, meeting stingrays or sharks, and snuba diving. Basically, you have to pay for any water activities and each of these can cost $100 or more.

Yelp
Great experience!! Be sure to bring your water shoes, dry clothes, and a case for your phone. They didn't prepare us with that information. You will pay heavily at the park without it. Otherwise it was amazing. 6 activities, good food and lots of food souvenir choices. The photo package is a little pricey but well worth it for all the pictures opportunities you'll get. Be sure to rest because it's a full day! PSA be sure to wear shorts that won't fall off. Wardrobe malfunction ‍

Yelp
Totally over hyped... While its nicely kept and well laid out, there is not much here. I've been to many zoos in the USA that have more stuff to see/do. I would not go back here even if it was free. Xel-Ha was much more fun and the food was free -- it was worth the price of admission, Xcaret Park was not.

Yelp
Beautiful park in Playa de Carmen. The park has a lovely beach area to take wonderful photos relax in chairs, hammock or by the bar. They have 3 restaurants all buffets which are different. Got to enjoy the buffet close to the beach with more of your seafood options but still have other options. We did enjoy the cenote lazy river, it is a long river with photo options that are pretty cool. Dont worry about your items you can send them ahead and get them after river or store in locker. They have animals to visit and gift shops along with a wonderful live show, really shows you more about the history of Mexico. It is a full day trip, half would limit seeing it all.

Yelp
Not like any American theme park. Located in the jungle and on the ocean, this place is a majestic display of natural marine life habitat and historic underground rivers that will blow you away! We tried it all in one day and then stayed for the show.. trust me, it's worth two days to take your time exploring this place. Lunch on the beach is definitely worth the entrance.. make sure to buy the "Plus" option to be able to take advantage of the lockers and food..:: if not, expect to spend a grip on food and drinks throughout the day/stay.

Yelp
It is a theme park. Think Disney, Universal, astroworld. Tons of people, lines, long distances. If you have mobility issues this is not the best place for you. Overall we had a great experience. The food was amazing and very beautiful environment. Lots of shade and places to sit. The show at night is spectacular! We took a tour bus from our resort to Xcaret and it was a very long day!! Pack snacks since the snack areas are limited to chips, popcorn, peanuts, and drinks. Stop by the beach here, it's gorgeous. The rivers seem like a good idea, if you are an avid swimmer. Towards the end of the river many were needing assistance to continue their journey and there were ropes to pull yourself. Bring your own cell phone case because it's $36 for one and $50 for two (the USD was at 16 pesos).

Yelp
Remarkable quality services and excellent options for families with children. Fantastic aquarium, great zoo and aviary, and really superb dining options. Beach was really good for small children.

Yelp
I really enjoyed myself at the Xcaret park (Xavage) in Mexico. All the activities were amazing, the staff was very informative, and friendly. The food provided was very good, and the only complaint I have is how the services paid for (pictures) have not been able to receive from the website due to errors and awaited on line for 2 hours, and hung up on abruptly without speaking to anyone. I hope this changes and no one else has encountered this issue.

Yelp
This place is such a unique experience that I planned my entire trip on wanting to bring my family here. I came here over 20 years ago and it left such an impression I wanted to come back so my hubs and daughter could enjoy it as much as I did. 2020....COVID. Was it a curse or a blessing? First I would like to say that I am writing this review weeks after coming home and quarantining and none of us got sick. But after months of staying inside at home away from people we really needed this trip to get some sunshine and fresh air before the sad grey days of winter really kicked in at home in Portland. Perhaps because of COVID our vacation was even better because capacity was reduced? I dunno. December is a lovely time of year as last time I came it was August and the humidity was unbearable not to mention my hair protested it. We had a wonderful time. Despite the fact that I accidentally bought tickets for the WRONG day!!! The bus transportation picked us up from our hotel and we caused a delay because they didn't have is on the pick up list since I had accidentally booked the following week!! Doh!! We worked it all out thank Goodness and I left a nice tip for the poor guy's troubles. We snorkeled (not the beat snorkeling), my daughter swam with Dolphins, we swam through the various tunnels, we had a seafood lunch buffet with the views that made me just sigh and try to inhale in all of the beauty as if I could absorb it somehow. We visited the butterfly exhibition where we were able to get up close and personal with these beautiful lil creatures, we explored the Lil Mayan ruins and the villages. Then later in the evening we had dinner at the Mexican buffet while being seated front and center for their horse show! After that we walked over to the stadium for a 2 hour show about the history of the Mayans, Spanish Conquistadors and glorious Mexico and all of the beautiful regions through music and dance. I left here really appreciating the culture and the beauty of Mexico and all of it's people. It was magical. Nowhere else in the world has an "eco-theme" park like this and I think we were actually lucky that there weren't huge lines or large crowds! It honestly may have even been better because of COVID and wasn't over crowded or claustrophobic.

Yelp
Came here twice in 2022. I have to say Xcaret hotels and parks are one of my favorite places to be. I came here for my birthday trip (couple trip) and a separate trip for with my children. Both experiences Adult trip and family trip here were amazing. This is definitely an experience of a lifetime.

Yelp
This park was sooo much fun, so much to do! Just be prepared to do a lot of walking. The cenotes are very refreshing, the restaurants were delicious. We opted for La Laguna and it did not disappoint. This is a buffet style place however everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly, shout out to Alfredo! The entire place is well kept, we saw everything from flamingos, monkeys and even went swimming with dolphins. The dolphin swimming was for an extra fee however it was very fun indeed, the only complaint I have is the following. Apart from the extra fee of $149 apart from the park entrance fee which is understandable. You take all these photos with the dolphins and at the end you only have the option of buying 12 photos for an extra $250 which they don't have advise you when purchasing the tickets. The minimum is 12 photos and then the prices go up! Other than that zero complaints, we had a wonderful time!

Yelp
It was okay I suppose. I think the best part was the underwater sea trek that we did! The park itself is beautiful and if you're looking for an all day relaxing time then this is definitely the spot. We did the plus tickets which included a lunch buffet and drinks which helped out tremendously since we were there all day. I probably would go again and get an earlier start in order to partake in all of the amenities in the park.

Yelp
This place was awesome. Worthy of a much more detailed review, hut I am crunched for time. When we went in mid-May, it seemed many people went for the river swim right away. We went in the afternoon and it was very pleasant and not crowded. There's much to see and do in the park. The river swim is a must. The jaguar was awesome. Swimming with dolphins was awesome. Even the birds were awesome! The show at the end of the day was spectacular and a must see in my book!

Yelp
I spent the day with my family. Great value compared what you need to pay to get something similar. Xplor was better for us though

Yelp
Everything spectacular you think you know and even the things you don't know are here. This is basically Mexican Disney world. They have everything you could ever want. I love my fiancée for taking us here. And it's American friendly, in the sense that they speak English and the prices are set, so you can't get scammed. Everything was super here. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
AMAZING!!!! Truly the most unique and incredible place we have visited. Every attraction was great. My husband and I paid for the Snuba activity and it was the coolest thing I've ever experienced. They took us to a reef on a 3 minute boat ride. We saw so many fish and coral and the instructors were great. This park offers cultural enrichment and is designed amazing. We also opted for the photography package which I highly recommend. You get a bracelet with a barcode and throughout the park there are many locations where you can scan your bracelet and they take your photo and at the end of the day you get all of your photos that were taken all day long for $70. We also opted for the Xcaret plus package which gave us the lunch, buffet and a locker. In the evening they put on a spectacular show which I must say was mind blowing. We weren't going to stay, but we are so glad we did. The show was incredible. They perform several different dances and songs all from different areas of Mexico and the performers were great. I would say if you are there you need to stay and watch!
