"You might think that with the white tablecloths, branded napkins, and waiters in bow ties, Xel-Há is one of those old-school restaurants serving passable to mediocre food. Not the case here. Their Yucatecan-leaning menu is packed with heavy hitters. You’ll eat spicy egg papadzules while watching a soccer game on one of several TVs inside the bright, family-friendly space. The menu has other hits like a panucho de cazón, rich sopa azteca served tableside with all the accoutrements like tortilla chips and avocado, and their famous cheesecake-flan hybrid. The best part of a trip here is that you can walk out having spent just $20 for a solid lunch, and somehow, they always have a table ready for you and your big group of friends, even though they’re always busy." - Guillaume Guevara
