London’s New Restaurant Openings

"Liverpool Street is known more for skyscrapers and people in suits, but it should be more of a destination for XL dumplings. We have a feeling Xi Home, with a menu that includes a soup dumpling the size of a steamer, might change that. " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Been here twice!! Love it! Really authentic taste, and they have a broad selection of food/drinks/ sweet treats to choose from. Honestly, was pretty surprised when we first came as they had a few dishes that are quite hard to find in other Chinese restaurants around london.

My favourite dumpling place in London! The noodles are amazing value too and are all fresh hand pulled. Personal favourites:Pork w/ Chinese leaf & King Prawn dumplings, Husband&Wife Ox, Fried Milk Curd and Beef noodles!! I come here regularly and its always fresh and service is lovely :)

Came during dragon boat weekend by chance and had the ZongZi 🤤 wanted to try the OG after having such incredible food at the Covent Garden branch. It was even better! The Dan Dan noodles is more meaty than peanut with thin noodles. Pork knuckles were so so tender. Also service was excellent! We had such a warm and attentive server. Will be back regularly ☝🏼

Went there for dinner on a Friday, and we were not disappointed at all. Service is very helpful, friendly, and fast. We ordered two drinks, they got one of them wrong but immediately brought us the right one in addition to the one we didn't order. As for the food, one thing that's worth pointing out is that you could get half portions of most things, which is good if you're only two people and want to try a variety of items. We got the lamb skewers, which were nice, tender, and well seasoned. We also got the Mackerel dumplings, which while good, I thought that the more traditional (and less expensive) dumplings were actually better. The port with peeled chilli pepper dumpling were probably my favorite, and I didn't think were spicy. The pork with chives and prawns are a classic. The taro shredded rolls were delicious, a bit on the sweeter side for a savory dish, but a nice break from the other items in terms of flavor and texture. We also got the panfried dumpling with cheese. I usually would say anything with cheese is better. In this case, although they were tasty, I'm not sure the cheese added much. All in all, I think this would definitely go into my rotation of dumpling places.

Food positioning!!!! I went here hoping to have the super sized soup dumpling that was promoted on social media, but sadly had ended. We went on to order a selection of foods including dandan noodles which tasted great and dumplings being the chicken & mushroom (was ok) and individual large soup dumplings (the culprit). I ate my one thinking it was ok, then my partner sampled hers and said something’s off… me being a typical guy, I ate it anyway. This was around 9/9:30pm on Saturday 20th September (Post Malone concert weekend). Come 05:30 on Sunday I automatically wake up not feeling great, head to bathroom and shortly after commenced projectile vomiting! I emailed Xi Home to let them know what happened in case they have meat contamination of some sort. They didn’t even reply after a whole week and therefore I am leaving a review here. Personally I will not return. It’s shame, the noodles tasted great!

Authentic Northeastern Chinese-style dumplings in a modern, clean setting — it truly feels like home! Great prices, generous portions, and absolutely top-notch service. The staff are super friendly, funny, and helpful. They even had a fun lottery activity — I won two adorable dumpling-shaped yarn keychains! Highly recommend!

Lovely little spot near Brick Lane with proper north-east Chinese food. The dumplings are amazing — especially the mushroom ones, so flavourful. Veggie options are clearly marked, which is always a plus. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the staff are super attentive. Perfect place to grab a bite after browsing the vintage shops nearby. I recommend the mushroom dumplings and a sweet lemon black iced tea. Will definitely be back!

Really nice experience - staff were attentive and gave great recommendations! The long prawn dumplings and spicy pork dumplings were our favourite and the wasabi prawns were delicious! Cucumber salad was fresh and Dan Dan noodles were done nicely! Great to be able to get half portions of dumplings for a smaller group and will definitely be back to try more options
