The 38 Best Berlin Restaurants | Eater

"When Wen Chang opened in summer 2021, it usurped the title of “Berlin’s hottest line” from (in)famous nightclub Berghain. The restaurant now has three locations (two in Prenzlauer Berg, one in Friedrichshain), so the lines are less chaotic, but the spicy bowls of hand-pulled Shaanxi-style biang biang noodles are better than ever. The brief menu centers around the silky wheat flour noodles, pulled into satisfyingly thick ribbons, with the perfect amount of spring to each bite. The beef noodles, sauced with soy, vinegar, and Sichuan peppers, are a staple, but every menu item excels, particularly the vegan options." - Tim Forster

It was rainy so my friend and I went in for some noodles. We saw that it was busy around the same time another night (8pm). We ordered the biang biang beef and it was SOOO tasty. Kudos to the chefs who prepared the noodles ~ it was very delicious! Would go again 10/10

I loved this place so much I had to go twice during my visit to Berlin. The Dan Dan noodles are BOMB! They're spicy fyi, but sooooo gooooood!! Staff is very friendly, only one girl spoke english. Place is very clean, toilet super clean and location is 10/10.

Went with my family for a quick dinner and was curious how their food would be like since it is a newly opened restaurant around our neighborhood. As we entered the new restaurant, one of the servers greeted us warmly and directed us to one of their available table. As soon as we sat, they handed over the menu and informed us promptly that they only accept cash and EC cards as a form of payments, which I find a bit inconvenient because we rarely carry cash and has only our credit cards. Anyways, our orders were served quite fast, and the foods were scrumptious. It was an overall great experience, and we were very satisfied. I'm definitely coming back again.

This Chinese noodle restaurant in Berlin is truly impressive! The service is exceptional, with the staff being incredibly friendly and welcoming. It creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere, completely different from the indifferent attitude you sometimes experience in other restaurants. The noodles here are a must-try—perfectly springy with a fantastic texture! That said, I’d love to see more variety on the menu in the future, such as eggplant noodles or tomato and egg noodles—those classic, homely flavors would be an amazing addition. Overall, I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese cuisine!

Very nice chinese noodle place. The service is very friendly and great. The dishes are prepared quickly. The soup is very tasty as well as Biang Biang noodles.

Quite tasty hand pulled noodles. Had the beef and it was super soft. Normally it is 15 bucks but during lunch time (also on weekends) it’s 11.5. Either way it’s worth the money. Some outdoor seating as well. The vibe is more like an Imbiss than a restaurant but that’s totally fine. Fully recommended!!

We had a biang biang noodle and a lan zhou noodle at really late at night, but everyone was very welcoming. Biang biang noodle was fantastic, really aromatic of garlic and ginger, i also love the texture of hand pulled noodle, chewy but still soft. Really recommended if you love spices. Lovely places for a cold night 🫶🏻🎄

Really fantastic! I had the biang biang noodles with chicken (there is also a tofu option) and added some of the spicy chili oil to my dish. Noodles were chewy, and everything had a great flavor. Perfection. The ownership and many of the staff speak Mandarin, so the kitchen's authenticity is also a plus. Having previously lived in China, my honest take on Berlin's other, arguably more famous, place(s) selling biang biang noodles was that they were "just okay," but I always left them feeling mildly disappointed. Xi Mian, by contrast, does not disappoint at all. I loved Xi Mian for sure and intend to go back to try more of the menu!
