"The soothing sound of biang biang noodles being methodically slapped on a counter in the kitchen is just one of the reasons why we like Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles. That noise is the first indicator you should be ordering these. Although some of the other Xi’anese dishes at this casual spot can miss the mark (cc: the dry pork burger), overall this spot delivers on its promise to feed you quickly and that you can leave satisfied for £20." - sinead cranna, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager
"The soothing sound of biang biang noodles being methodically slapped on a table is the kind of pre-musical prep we encourage. Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles in Covent Garden is a casual, Muji-esque space with excellent hand-pulled Chinese noodles. It’s a useful, good-value spot with quick service that makes it a go-to for a pre-theatre meal with someone who loves to anxiously clock-watch." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"What It Is: A Spitalfields spot specialising in Xi’an cuisine. The food at Xi’an Biang Biang didn’t make us very happy. That’s not to say it was terrible, it just wasn’t great. Actually, that’s a lie, the potstickers and the pork burger were fairly terrible. But, the pork and vegetable wonton in chicken broth and the cold noodles were nice enough. It felt a bit like getting back from a first date and mumbling ‘it was alright’ to your friends. You know it wasn’t a complete waste of time, but are you going to see them again? Possibly not. The Verdict: If we happened to live or work on Wentworth Street and wanted some hand pulled noodles, we’d happily hit Xi’an Biang Biang. However, we don’t." - sam collins, oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, eileen twum
"Quick service and satisfying food make Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles our go-to for a pre-theatre meal in Covent Garden. And after our last trip to the casual Xi’anese spot, we spent the whole interval furtively Googling how to make their refreshing tofu skin salad. The tangle of thin tofu skin ribbons come lightly dressed with soy sauce and topped with dried chilli and greens. Light, satisfying, an utter delight." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna, Jake Oliver
"The soothing sound of biang biang noodles being methodically slapped on a table is just one of the reasons why we like Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles in Covent Garden. That noise from the open kitchen in the casual, Muji-esque space is the first indicator that the hand-pulled noodles should be on your table. The fact we always order another bowl is your second. Although the other Xi’anese dishes range from excellent (the refreshing tofu skin salad) to underwhelming (the dry pork burger), it’s a useful and good-value spot in this part of town. Quick service and perfectly satisfying food make it our go-to for or a catch-up with ." - Daisy Meager
