I wanted to give this place a better rating but the food was a total disappointment. I am sick and tired of this place as they constantly make mistakes on the dishes i ordered. The service was bad as well. The female server can barely speak English and likes to hassle for more tips. She would always remind customers that tips have not been included in the check. Not only the food was not good, the chef doesn't know how to adjust spiciness of the food at all. It is either non spicy, or super duper spicy, with nothing in between. We asked for very little spicy so thay we can share with kids but it came out with lots of spicy chili seeds in the dish and it was way too spicy, even for adults. And this has happened way too many times. The food that came out was nothing compared to the pictures shown. See pic and try to look for the tiny broken pieces of meats like a treasure hunt lol. We gave this restaurant many chances but they really need to upgrade the quality of their food and change the chef, since he never listened to the customers and accommodate their needs.

In searching for best Chengdu food in Vegas we came across this restaurant off Spring Mountain Rd near Jones. We were greeted nicely, and had great friendly service and really good food. Fried chicken with dried chilis, pork with green peppers and a green bean/eggplant combo, all of which were excellent. We chose the medium level of spice/heat. We probably could have handled the higher level but there was plenty of heat.

I just had the best Chinese food ever in Vegas, and it was not only incredibly affordable but also absolutely delicious! The fried rice was to die for—fluffy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were still vibrant green and perfectly crisp, not overcooked, retaining that fresh crunch with each bite. The beef was tender and juicy, and the shrimp were cooked just right, bursting with flavor. Everything tasted so authentic, like a hidden gem straight from the heart of China. If you're looking for amazing Chinese cuisine without breaking the bank, this place is a must-try!

Google
My wife and I waited over an hour for a table. Other people came after us and were seated before us because they had 3 in their group and were seated at bigger tables in the middle of the restaurant while my wife and I waited for a booth to open up. We got there around 5:30pm and were starving! I was so mad. I only stayed because my wife wanted to try the food. I will say everything we ordered was delicious and VERY spicy! However I will not go here again because they do not know how to organize or treat their customers. Getting the servers attention was also a hassle. Very unorganized business. Here is a pic of all the people waiting at the front after we finally got a booth.

Google
Ordered the Clay Pot Rice Noodles with Clear Broth Flavor - the pot was large and filled with toppings. It tasted great and was very filling. The servers were polite and the food portions are generous for a cheap and reasonable price.

Google
authentic and very spicy! really enjoyed their lamb w/ cumin and chicken w/ chili. can’t wait to try the smashed eggplant w/ preserved egg that everyone was ordering.

Google
The food at this restaurant is deliciously authentic, with bold and flavorful dishes that truly satisfy. However, the service can be hit and miss. Sometimes attentive and friendly, other times lacking. If you're here for the food, it's worth a visit, just be prepared for inconsistent service.

Google
Not a lot of choices but the food taste is authentic and good enough to be one of my go-to places for Hunan food craving while in Vegas. The food tastes very similar to authentic Hunan restaurants in the Bay Area in California so it's decent. I wish there were more varieties of good choices such as frogs or more dry pots but what they have they do well enough. I like the smashed eggplants with preserved duck eggs.

Yelp
I didn't know they had live fish. The fish was steamed perfectly and was delicious. I love Lotus root; it was crunchy and delicious. The restaurant purchases chicken from a "live Poultry place," so the chicken meat was firm and delicious. Service was great. I recommend this restaurant and will go back there soon.

Yelp
Majority of Chinese restaurants in town are HK style. This one is more authentic from Hunan Province. More Spicy food options. Recommended their chicken gizzards, intestines and hundred year egg mixed with eggplant. Also AC in this plaza seems weak. It might be hot to dine in for the summer time.

Yelp
Good authentic Chinese food-not pretentious in the heart of the Chinatown district.-Very flavorful and delicious -we had the griddle chicken which was superb, the spicy shrimp, the eggplant and green beans and the pork fried rice-it was A LOT of food-everyone was pleased!

Yelp
Mala flavor and clear broth flavor clay pot rice noodles: the place is very clean and great friendly service Beef meatballs are hand made by owner and delicious

Yelp
A terrific choice in Chinatown for groups with a mix of spice preferences. We loved that the low-heat dishes were packed with flavor. The beef with celery was a delightful surprise to me because a simple dish had so much to say. We liked every single dish on the table. Reasonable prices and family ambience. What's not to love?

Yelp
Small but homey Chinese restaurant serving up authentic and delicious dishes. I had my eye on the fish tofu soup before coming and it didn't disappoint. It is a gigantic portion good enough for 3-4 people to share. The fish is fresh and the meat is tender falling right off the big bones. Be careful though, there are a lot of small bones and it is an entire fish so there is a lot of meat to eat through. The broth is milky and rich. Lots of silken tofu cubes inside. It's not fishy cause of the ginger and seasoning they use. I also had the sizzling stir fry cumin lamb. Nice thin slices of lamb sautéed with onions, red peppers and jalapeños/green peppers. Very flavorful and a big portion. My colleague's beef fried rice was a bit disappointing. Not a lot of beef, hardened rice and very oily. Taste was decent but just American takeout restaurant quality. Staff was straightforward and efficient. Restaurant was clean though plates and utensils were outdated.

Yelp
Incredible food! Hidden gem buried in a shopping complex. Love the spices and flavor. Griddle Cooked Chicken and Sauteed Beef were both awesome. Service was decent, though some translation issues due to staff being Chinese. However, the food was really authentic and fresh. We ordered "normal spicy" and it was plenty hot enough for use, flavorful without being too much. I'm sure they toned it down for our western tastebuds, but if you want they'll turn the heat up even more. Definitely will try again.

Yelp
Very yummy and great service The Owen and cooker is from Hunan. So authentic taste I really like it.

Yelp
Authentic Hunan Chinese food approved by Hunan ppl, come if you got the guts to take on this challenge of hot and spiciness!

Yelp
While the flavors is hunan, the portions are rather small and quality of ingredients I wish was better. I grew up on winter melon soup full of pork rib and plenty of flavor. In this soup I got 5 minuscule pork bone. Wife fried rice was full of grease and had 5 little tiny shrimp without any taste.

Maki D.

Yelp
Great food!!! Friendly staff, clean and affordable with huge portions! Highly recommend to try it.

Yelp
I was curious to try some authentic Hunan food and given all of the rave reviews, I figured Xiang Wei Xuan was the best option. I ordered the Steamed Fish with Tofu ($18.95) for delivery. When my food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find a family-size tin pan full of fish and tofu and yummy broth! I had leftovers for days :) Everything was well-cooked and flavorful. I wasn't super blown away, but to be fair, it seems the dishes that get the most praise here are more on the indulgent side, and steamed fish and tofu do not scream indulgent. Overall, I recommend this spot. The menu here is expansive so I think there is something for everyone!

Yelp
Came here one night to get some take out and I'm glad I did. I wouldn't have enjoyed dining at the restaurant. I'm not sure if they're just in an old building or if they wanted to save on energy but the AC just wasn't really there? It was pretty warm inside and could get uncomfortable. They did have a giant fan running so that helped a bit. Service is friendly. I was greeted and she took my order when I was ready. I decided to get an order of the stir fried pig intestines at mild spice with a combination fried rice. The wait for the food wasn't too long either -- maybe about 15 minutes. Portions were decent, especially the fried rice -- there was a lot. The fried rice was flavorful but a tad too greasy for my liking. It also looked like the chef was in a hurry cause the soy sauce did not coat all the rice. The intestines were delicious and the mild spice was perfect. Price is decent compared to other places that serve the same items. I liked what I got and wouldn't mind coming again. Not sure if I'd get the fried rice again though.

Yelp
I remember coming here and ordering the cauliflower and the fish head. Cauliflower was good and reminded me of the real deal but the fish head was definitely off. Overall still enjoyed the place but idk if I need to come back since there's so many options here.

This place is really good and food is authentic, highly recommended and will definitely come back soon.

Yelp
Mom and pop comfort Chinese food without a crowd for a weekday lunch. Hits the spot if you miss 'LA 626 lunch special' type food. It isn't exactly the same but good enough with different variety. Flavor and texture was on point for non-spicy versions of dishes we got. Looking forward to trying their other spicy dishes next time. Mandarin speaking staff with limited English. Chinese speaking customers dining in. Hot tea and rice bowl per person is offered. They have forks, and use red cups for ice water. Menu pictures of dishes look larger than actual plate. Maybe expect 1/4 less than pic size? They offer dishes to be spicy but I wanted non-spicy. 1A.Peanuts with cucumber $4.95. - Impressed. Fresh. Garlic vinegar and light chili oil is mixed well. 2P. Mao's Braised Pork $15.95. - Less to no veggies compare to menu picture. Decent, comfort style. 3V. Sauteed Green Bean $12.95. - Great. Texture was on point. Price: Around $30 for 2ppl with 1 appetizers, 2 dishes. A bit pricey for what I'm use to but haven't found other options. I'm open to suggestions if anyone wants to message me their fav family comfort Chinese food joint in Vegas. They don't normally sell frozen dumplings but asked for 50pc bag and got them for $30. She had to make up a number or else we weren't willing to pay for the menu hot pieces that are like $1 per piece. Hoping next time I go that they'll be willing to lower it to prices I'm accustom to in LA 626.

Yelp
Very authentic Chinese food. My mom and I love their stir fries and rice noodles. Also they have great service. We will visit again.

Yelp
Located in a smaller plaza across from 168 market. Looks like a hole in the wall, but the flavors here are amazing. Def worth a try. This restaurant offers many Chinese, particularly Hunan province delicacies and authentic dishes. Came with my family for dinner around 6 pm, not too packed yet. Ambiance is simple, booths and tables offered. Not the biggest establishment. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive! We got stir fried green beans, twice cooked pork, a steamed fish for the table, spicy dry pot pork intestines, and some other dishes not pictured. All were 10/10 would order again. Every entree comes with a big pot of rice for the table. Portions are big, you'll likely leave with yummy leftovers for the next day :-) prices are reasonable for the amount and flavors you get! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Very good food.We off have lunch almost every week.Perfect costumes services.ambiance is nice.

Yelp
Great service and wonderfully prepared flavorful dishes. Can be made spicy or less if you ask them to. I personally loved the eggplant and century egg dish it was delightfully savory. Cucumber salad was flavorful and CRUNCHY. Staff were attentive and great :)

Yelp
2 adults and 1 child, ordered 4 dishes, all delicious. Recommend Changsha Stinky Tofu and Guilin Special Rice Noodle.

Yelp

Yelp
We had the Mao's braised pork, eggplant with spring beans, and seasonal vegetable (we chose water spinach from a set of choices they gave us). The Mao's braised pork was a bit disappointing; the flavor didn't really penetrate the meat. The eggplant with spring beans was well-seasoned and nicely wok-fired. They put a Hunanese spin on the water spinach by making it slightly spicy, by putting some slivers of red pepper in an otherwise clear sauce, which I really enjoyed. 3.5 stars

Yelp
Small restaurant offers the best human cuisine and dishes is always good as usual. They are our favorite restaurant in town.

Yelp
We are new to Las Vegas, we are so glad We found them - a very authentic Hunan restaurant. Environment: very neat with some Chinese elements and modern decorations. Service: very friendly. Because of pandemic, it sometimes takes longer time waiting due to stuff shortage. Overall waiting time is reasonable. Food: great food. Our most favorite dish is Chopped Pepper Fish, live fish, very delicious, a must order dish to us. We order every time no matter dine-in or order to go. Smoke Pork and Smoke Beancurd (or Dried Turnip) is also our favorite, typical Hunan dish, very tasteful. The last one I want to recommend is Eggplant with Pepper, I never had before in any other Hunan restaurant but I love it.

Yelp
If you're into spicy Chinese food This is it Pretty authentic Chinese restaurant even comes with a not so good Chinese service The server sat down on our table when she was talking our order! And have to ask for service But I guess the food makes it up
google avatar

Sinia A.

Yelp
Braised pork was amazing. And has really good veg options! Eggplant with garlic sauce, bean curd, and mapotofu were actually my favorite, even though I ordered meat. Definitely satisfied the spicy craving. 10/10 recommend making your way out here. * I forgot to take a picture of the food because we dug in as soon as it arrived at the table.

Jane M.

Yelp
A few excellent spicy dishes. We love to dining here and also carry out is convenient and quick.

Yelp
Wonderful Chinese dishes! I wouldn't say it is top rated in China But it is good enough in Vegas
google avatar

Mariah D.

Yelp
The best food I've had in awhile! The sautéed pork was delicious as well as the chicken dish. Good amount of spice and flavor. Service was fine. Next time I want to try their other entrees
google avatar

Mikayla W.

Yelp
The business seemed to just be starting out. They weren't able to give me exact change back. But I continued on and told the man he could keep the changed as tip for that servers. The ladies serving us were nice and attentive to us. Overall, the food was pretty good and hot. I enjoyed my meal the whole time. I look forward to their restaurant as it continues to grow.
google avatar

Zach L.

Yelp
Chef not in store on Tuesday and they serve noodle instead of dishes, the classic noodle is missing key ingredient, service is lackluster.
google avatar

Helen Z.

Yelp
If I could give 0 star I would. This is literally the worst restaurant I have ever been in during our stay in Las Vegas. We ordered chopped pepper fish and wild pepper beef, and the dishes were dry and cold when served. When we asked the staff there, he had a bad attitude and said it was because the kitchen was very windy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The glasses and bowls were dirty and didn't look clean, food was salty and greasy and not tasty at all. Overall I don't think it's unauthentic and DO NOT recommend.
google avatar

Xiao P.

Yelp
The service was slow, the noodles were bland and the waiters were very rude to ask for tips in front of me. I never come back again.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
I was there today, it was full house and had one party of 5 waiting ahead us. I saw one table already clean up but nobody came to us.I understand they were busy have to take care of the customers who already sat. But a guy who came in later than us instead of waiting,he straight to server pointing to the empty table ask if they can sit there. the server said OK! WTF????Is the way you guys sit customer? You guys don't have wait list to sign in and sit customer in such ridiculous way!

Aviv B.

Yelp
Way overpriced for what I got. Ordered Mongolian Beef, Cashew chicken and egg rolls on grub hub. I understand there's fees but without them the food order was almost $50 for this small amount of food. Wanted to try a new place, will be sticking with the other options I'm familiar with. Food was not bad (didn't eat egg rolls, they were kind of burnt and cold when arrived; also came with unspecified vinegar like sauce) but the portion size for the quantity is absurd, even through Grubhub.

Yelp
Chose this place based on reviews and I'm still trying to figure out how this place has 4 /12 star rating. Had an early dinner here last night and this is where I'm at... Cons: 1. Slow to greet guests. 2. Slow to take order (there was only one other 3 person table when we arrived and they already had their food). 3. First three items we chose off the menu were not available. 4. 2 out of 3 dishes came out swimming in oil. 5. Combination fried rice was greasy and tasted like thick soy sauce. Had about 3 small pieces of shrimp and minced pieces of chicken and beef. No flavor. I ended up ordering this because everything else I wanted wasn't available. 6. Ordered hot tea. Came out room temperature. 7. Slow service. Pros: 1. There aren't any. I'm all about mom & pop joints and definitely all about authentic Chinese food. I grew up in the industry, my dad was a chef and I've traveled all over Asia eating foods from the streets to five star restaurants and everything in between. Unfortunately, this place doesn't do it for me.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Boiled Sliced Fish in Hot Sauce (3.5/5): The fish was tender, and it was not (too) spicy. Sautéed Sliced Pork (1.5/5): The pork belly was thick and hard to chew. Probably one of the worst I've had.
google avatar

Jeff Y.

Yelp
Came here with my mom since we noticed it during a prior visit to neighboring Tang Tang Tang. The interior was basic and service adequate. The food was very tasty, and there were many dishes new to us (my mom and I are Taiwanese). Possibly one of our only complaints was that the dishes were on the saltier side. Authentic and different kind of Chinese restaurant if you want to try something new!
google avatar

Anita C.

Yelp
I wanted authentic Chinese food and I got it! This place is so good. We ordered: Pigs feet - this is super rare to see on the menu and it was so good. I used to eat this as a kid. Pork belly Whole fish - same with this dish. You rarely see a whole fish on a menu because most people don't eat the head/cheeks/eyes. I eat it all. I would definitely come back here. It reminded me of my childhood.
google avatar

Dale E.

Yelp
I was not fond of the quality of food thought it was cooked with too much oil. The service was very nice. The place looks very clean. Just the food turned me off.

Yelp
Menu for Authentic Shanghai Cuisine . The new Shanghai chef has started the new category of Shanghai cuisine.
google avatar

Vivian S.

Yelp
Clean and delicious restaurant that not enough people know about. Although it may be hard to figure out menu items, waiters/waitresses are able to help. The service is great, which makes it stand out from many other Chinese restaurants in town. The food is good! My boyfriend swears Hunan Restaurant has the best mapo tofu he has ever had. I enjoy the steamed tofu and fish. Noodle soups are a bit plain, but taste homey. Spice levels aren't intense. Food is served family-style, so bring some people along!

Louay A.

Yelp
This restaurant is the best authentic Chinese restaurant with fresh, authentic Chinese food.

Melaa A.

Yelp
Deliciousness at it's best...simple but yet so defined in Guilen noodle taste. Beautiful setting in a family friendly setting. Owner Sunny and Chef Jun take this restaurant to a new level of traditional, Chinese flavors. The service is always fast and fresh....

Yelp
Probably THE best Chinese restaurant in Vegas in my view. Surprised that it wasn't much more crowded in Saturday night when we had dinner around 8 pm.
