Google
Th good was really good and the prices were really fair. Ingredients were fresh, margaritas on tap (how cool is that), and everything was really great. We look forward to coming back again.

Google
The food is unique and has amazing flavors! Meat and vegetarian options. Different style sauces. The taco shells were soft and homemade! Thank you for a taste experience! Next time, I would have each of us order something different so we could sample a variety!

Google
Good outdoor spot for some unique flavors. I had the smoked trout taquitos and Xplorador IPA. gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Partner had GF cauliflower Alpastor empanadas

Google
Our server, Mario did an excellent job explaining the food menu and craft beer selections. He was professional, kind and attentive. As a self proclaimed “Taco Snob” I found the barbacoa, puerco and camaron tacos to be very good. The barbacoa provided a special surprise of flavors. The hand made tortillas were a nice addition. I was not fond of any of the beers in the flight I purchased but beer palettes are very subjective. Not bad beer… just much better locally from other breweries. Pricing is average for the area and in this day and age everything is more expensive. $16-$19 for three tacos appears expensive at first glance but considering recent inflation issues I would say this business provides very good tacos and great service at just above average price. Atmosphere is more of a lunch/quick dinner setting than a dinning experience. I would return based on the service we received and the flavor profile of the tacos.

Google
So called "manager" noticed a long line forming 5 minutes before happy hour was over and proceeded to arrange silverware and stall out not to take our order even though the other register was clearly open. It was hardly 6:02 when I asked if we made it for happy hour and he told me we were 2 minutes late. I explained that I had been waiting in line for almost 10 minutes while new customers were asking a bunch questions and preventing anyone else from ordering. It was the way he responded to us that was so disheartening; he could've simply said the register won't bring up happy hour prices after 6 or anything else. Really disappointed and will probably take my business elsewhere in the future due to this experience.

Google
Tasty, flavorful food in a colorful environment. Our family of 8 enjoyed dinner here, and everyone was able to find something to eat. The empanadas, ximichanga, croquetas, tacos and churros were all phenomenal, and all the other dishes were satisfying as well. The only reason for 4 stars is that it was pretty loud, which is difficult for some of our neurodivergent kids.

Google
We went here for the first time with our baby (yay letting us in). We were surprised at how busy it was for the time and day of the week. The staff was hustling and was able to keep the line moving quickly. The decorations were great and the atmosphere was fun with music and lots of happy people. We ordered a variety of different foods. The empanadas were good - though spicy. And the tacos were also nice. Tried a beer with Chile that was interesting and liked everything. Will definitely go back

Google
Absolutely delicious food with amazing service. I had the pozole with oyster mushrooms and it was the best I've had in a long time! The dish was savory and tangy with just the right amount of saltiness. The toppings were fresh delicious and crispy. I will definitely come back here again and try more from the menu.

Yelp
First time here and I was very impressed! Both the cubano and mix tacos were delicious! My favorites were definitely the camarón taco and the patatas bravas. The drink special was perfectly strong and fruity! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere, they even have board games to play.

Yelp
Great happy hour on a Friday! Love the margaritas in tap. Barbaco quesadillas was excellent. Great patio vibe laid back shared with provisions.

Yelp
I came here during my visit to Eugene because it popped under breweries. Compared to the other breweries here in Eugene it's ok, but where they really shine is their margaritas flights and the food. We tired the taquitos and tacos and they were fantastic. The margaritas were well made and all had noticeable differences in flavor instead of just tasting like strong different colored tequila. They have a shared outside patio area that's next to a coffee shop I believe, and inside there's plenty of seating as well. While I wouldn't put this on my must try list if you're checking out beer breweries if you are looking for some really good food and a place that does have their own beer that you can try along the way then they're worth checking out.

Yelp
We came in at 815- they close at 9. We wanted a marg flight they said no. And can we make it to go cuz they closing. (?). We said sure ordered empanada and taquito He said we could have chips and salsa and two drinks while we "waited". They brought our burnt food out in a bag around 830- & we ended up eating it in the restaurant & l out by 845. Terrible service. Burnt food and no flight. Chips and salsa - y delicious!- nice location ..... too bright & Rude.

Yelp
I agree with Morgan!! The food here runs circles around anything that you will find in Southern California. What is different? The ingredient quality. Is it more expensive than a little taqueria? Yes. But is it worth the money? Yes! This place is located next door to Provisions South.

Yelp
Xicha has awesome food. Their nachos are the best! I get them with chicken, even though it is not on the menu. The meal is big enough to share or to take home leftovers. Their service has always been great, and you can choose to eat inside or out.
google avatar

Yelp
Our family really enjoys having dinner at Xicha. The wide variety of beer they brew is most excellent. The margarita flights are pretty awesome too. My granddaughter goes nuts over the chimichangas while her mom flips over the shrimp tacos. As for me, I'm a fan of their Cubano sandwich. It's like being in Havana. For a fun and very tasty night out you can't beat Xicha.

Carol K.

Yelp
Love the beer and tasty food here! Nice outdoor seating area. Server was great and answered all our questions about the food menu.

Yelp
We are always looking for a good place to find good Mexican food or menu items from south of the border. This one was a great find. The margaritas were great, the salsa choices were so good, and the chips were delicious. The main courses were well made and beautifully plated. The amount of food was very satisfying and filling. We will definitely be back for more very soon.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for an early dinner the other night. I was delighted to see they had a beer that's considered a sour beer. I haven't had one in ages and there's was an excellent. I ordered a couple different tacos and my friend ordered a dish with fried avocado. I had never heard of fried avocado. I did take a bite of hers and it was so creamy and mushy - a delicious surprise! For once, I remembered to include some photos which you will see below. My only critique is on my pork taco, the pork was cut in little chunks and seem to be deep-fried. In general, I avoid deep fried foods. The menu you might've explained that, but I didn't pick that up. In the summer, they have delightful outside seating.

Yelp
A few months ago we tried their Salem location so we knew we had to try the Eugene location next! This one is definitely a lot smaller but the vibe is still there. The menus are also a little different but I loved everything we tried. No matter what you get you will be so happy, I promise!

Yelp
What a beautiful and delicious taco spot! I really enjoyed Xicha. Counter service spot with FAST service, margaritas flights, delicious food, and vegetarian options. What's not to love? The cauliflower al pastor empanadas were amazing, and I REALLY loved that the chips and salsa came with like 4 different salsas! Loved the variety and they were all packed with flavor. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
If the beer wasn't flat out bad and the margarita weak I'd go 3 stars. The beer is not good. The margaritas are weak. I had the yucca fries with pork belly; it was good but I could make it better at home. I'd prefer if places like this didn't have 4.6s on Yelp, because I'd f'ing avoid them. 2 stars.
google avatar

Danielle A.

Yelp
Let me start with.... The service and staff could not have been more friendly! Great experience in that way. The margarita flights were awesome and very inventive, we loved them! Next.... We felt meh about the food when we left. The food was ok but not outstanding, there are other places I would go for high end Mexican in town. We ordered a few dishes to share for the table. They were good but not great.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Yeah a happy hour that includes a good selection of food and drink specials. The stuffed peppers were the perfect size, 3 peppers stuffed with shredded chicken in a pepita sauce and a generous side salad..perfect snack. The papas were amazing, perfectly cooked and bathing in a light cheese sauce, pickled vegetables and a nice sauce (can't remember) but my taste buds won't forget. Great afternoon light bite!!

Yelp
I was so happy to finally give this place a try. The food and interior look so good in photos and I have heard nothing but great things from friends. However, I was hesitant to immediately stop in after opening because I knew how busy and popular they were going to be. Even though they have been open for a few months and the hype has settled, the place was packed on a Saturday night. I had to do the awkward hover at one of the tables as people packed up to claim possession immediately after they left. The food! Literally did a happy dance as I was enjoying my cauliflower al pastor empanadas. I also ordered the aguacate frito out of curiosity and that was also very delicious. It is such a breath of fresh air to eat food that is thoughtfully planned and prepared. You can tell that a lot of care and attention went into curating this menu. There is a negative, unfortunately. Xicha is, basically, one giant concrete box. So when there are a lot of people sitting inside it can be pretty loud and echoey. My poor, neurodivergent brain was having a hard time focusing due to the acoustics. I feel like this will be a nearly perfect experience for warmer days when we can sit outside. Nevertheless, I am a fan of this new Eugene business and will be a returning customer.

Yelp
LOTS OF POTENTIAL with room to grow! I want to give this restaurant another chance but also set realistic expectations for other food aficionados. Let's get right to the food: NACHOS: We ordered the Nachos based on the cashier's recommendations. I LOVED the radish and pickled onions. The beef and guacamole was a bit bland but the beans had a nice flavor and consistency. The chips tasted fresh but overall I think this dish needs more salsa and freshly sliced avocado. KIDS QUESADILLA: My youngest had a quesadilla. This came with a side of black beans. Overall it was what I would expect for a kids meal. I'd love to see colorful veggies on the side to add color and variety. This would compliment the restaurants esthetic and other dishes. KIDS TAQUITOS: My oldest had the chickens taquitos and the chicken was VERY DRY. I feared she may choke because the meat was so overcooked. I think this could be avoided and improved by adding in some cheese and using less frying time. CROQUETAS: These we're tasty and came with some great sauces but keep in mind you are getting the equivalent of three mozzarella sticks for $6. The AMBIENCE was perfect for a summer afternoon! The music was enjoyable and having the garage door raised created a relaxed vibe. The DRINKS were disappointing. I had high hopes after reading other reviews that the margarita flight was the way to go but it tasted like overpriced juice. I expected to feel a slight buzz after drinking 22 oz. but instead had heartburn and regret. Hate to sound so harsh, but I spent $20 and anticipated more substance. The SERVICE was OK. We explained this was our first visit and I appreciate that the cashier gave us some recommendations on drinks and dishes after we asked. The staff was helpful but they did not seem happy or excited to see people. Like "Welcome! Glad you are here. Can we help in any way?" would go a looooong way. The POTENTIAL lies in having educated staff provide a little more INFO in terms of top dishes, staff favorites, what drinks pair well with what, and if you really want to impress, share the LatinX history behind the restaurant, and local startup, etc.

Yelp
After seeing a photo of their amazing tacos and seeing they had a Veganuary menu my wife and I decided to have a date lunch and we were so glad we did! It's a small spot off 32nd in the Amazon area but they use their space well. It's brightly lit, has a GORGEOUS mural on one wall and the tables are nice raw wood style tabletops. There are around 20 taps and cocktails. We started with a margaritas flight and color me impressed! We had lime, guava, mango and raspberry and the cute tiny glasses had a salt/red pepper rim that matched the real fruit mixers perfectly. Wonderful margaritas, and a great accompaniment to our meal. I had the vegan pozole and it was as good as the authentic pozole I had earlier this year in Puerto Vallarta. This one had a green tomatillo base with oyster mushrooms, hominy, red onion, Cilantro, avocado and the most amazing homemade chips. I was on heaven and sooooo full! It's a huge portion and I definitely had leftovers for lunch. My wife had the pork belly and barbacoa tacos. The homemade tortillas were wonderfully toothy and flavorful and she said the pork belly was divine. She said the barbacoa was tasty and flavorful too but she preferred the pork belly by miles. The staff was super friendly and helped us decide on our meal when we were indecisive with some many good choices! We rarely find a place that has food for both my meat eating wife AND one that meets my dietary restrictions. Over a third of their menu can be made vegan so we will definitely be back again and again!

Yelp
We tried out Xicha for the first time over the weekend and we loved it! This is an order at the counter and seat yourselves kind of a place situated beneath the Amazon Corner Apartments with such a cute, bright and colorful aesthetic. We ordered a flight of beers, a margarita, the chicken empanadas, the chicken piquillos peppers, the chicken taco plate and the cubano sandwich. All delicious but the empanadas for sure stole the show! They were steaming hot, crispy and very flavorful (they make their dough/tortillas in house). We will be back!

Yelp
After reading good reviews and hearing positive notes from friends, my experience as Xicha was sadly disappointing. First, the service was subpar and the seating arrangement was not ideal. I know they just opened, so maybe they are taking time to figure things out, but the space really could've been improved with a host. Tables weren't guaranteed, which can work at some restaurants (like The Wheel), but here you can order food and still not have a table. Luckily, my group was able to snag a table (it was awkward to stalk people finishing their meals) but I saw some people standing and having to hold their food while they wait for a place to sit! The servers were also unfriendly and similarly seemed displeased about the seating layout. If you have a large group or a group with people who can't physically stand for long, this isn't the place for you. Hopefully their outdoor seating can be improved with heaters too. Now the food was just okay. My group all got a variety of different tacos and taquitos and they honestly could've been the same if you didn't know we ordered different things. The toppings and taste are basically identical between protein choices, which leaves the taste experience lackluster. Especially considering every taco was loaded with a spicy, thick sauce that overwhelmed any other flavor. Only thing I thought was unique were the beans and rice. I wish this place held up to my expectations. I'll be interested to see how Xicha grows into its space and makes some changes.

Yelp
Not your typical Mexican food place. Based on a friend's recommendation for beer and margaritas we gave this place a try. Ordered chips n' salsa which also came with a black bean did and guacamole. It was pretty good and I'm not a fan of black beans. My dinner partner tried two different beers, the Cerveza Negro and Chela. He preferred the Chela. I did the margarita flight which included lime, guava, mango and raspberry. My favorite was the guava. We had food too! He enjoyed the barbacoa tacos and I had the ximichanga with chicken. The two surprises were pickled onions on the side with the tacos and pickles cabbage with the ximichanga. It added a nice zest to the

Yelp
I wish I gave more taco places four stars because this place is ACTUALLY five stars. Every taco is a masterpiece. A masterpiece of flavor. The service was congenial without being overpowering. Knowledgeable without being pushy. The one beer I had was tasty and refreshing. There were several others I was interested in trying. The kitchen has a system that involves quick and direct deliveries. Our queso, chips, beans, and salsa came out first. The tacos were 5-7 minutes later. The beans were an intriguing addition to the dips and salsas. It was tasty without being salty. BUT THE TACOS - - We went with a trio of different tacos. I wasn't super excited to try the barbacoa because my experience with the beef is usually some blend of "it's too salty" or "it's too stringy." I am happy to report I went back for multiple bites because it was DELICOUS. The shrimp tacos and the pork tacos were of equal quality and taste. Would 100 percent return the next time I am in Eugene.

Yelp
Delicious, perfectly executed, and visually appealing food!!! Great beers and margaritas too! We got the chips and salsa and were happy that the chips are made in-house, and they come with 3 variations of green salsas, plus black beans! Also got the patatas bravas as a starter and they were crispy, tangy, and totally delicious. I got the chicken taquitos and my hubby got a trio of tacos. The taquitos were beautifully garnished and placed over a bed of black beans. They were crispy on the outside and the chicken was tender and not dry. The tortillas for the tacos are fresh, thick and not at all dry. I also ordered a tasting flight of margaritas and every single one was delicious! The service is very friendly and very fast. Also the atmosphere is super chill and upbeat. It's very casual and fun. Love the patio outside that is shared with Provisions South.

Morgan M.

Yelp
The food is 11/10!! My husband and I are huge Mexican food fans and just got back from a week in So Cal, where we ate Mexican food for every single meal, and this place was by far better than anything we had there. Highly recommend the pork belly tacos, I was blown alway by them!
google avatar

Whitney D.

Yelp
Came here on a weekend for lunch, and I'm already dreaming of the next time I can come back! A friend and I split two orders of the "Mixto" taco plate, which meant we got six tacos total, and got to try one of each type. My favorite was the camaron (sautéed shrimp), my friend liked the barbacoa. The salad and rice and beans on the side were tasty, too. The tacos all come with homemade tortillas, and taste incredibly fresh. The place is clean and seating options are good. Staff is friendly. I'm looking forward to trying other food (and a drink!) on my next visit.
google avatar

Bonnie B.

Yelp
What a fun place! Very friendly folks, super fast service- and the food and beer is excellent! Full of flavors! We had the taco plate (3 shrimp), empanadas (hatch chicken) and the chips and salsa (REALLY good and totally different than what you would expect!) We will be back for sure!!
google avatar

Yelp
Walking up at a peak time was daunting. No parking in the lot. Unorganized, people stalking tables as people finished their meals. Order up front and lady just stared into space as she took our order as if she was tripping. Literally told her we could'nt hear her and she just blankely stared at the wall. Tamarind margarita was fun but the margarita flights seem to be a huge draw. Expect just shy of 20 dollars for the flight. Chimichanga was mostly just beans and rice, some chicken inside was dry. Taco plate, chicken again was dry, do not recommend. Barbacoa was very mid. Pork belly was decent but not for 16$ for 3 tacos. Overpriced for crap service and mid food. Good attempt at an awesome spot but tacovore is definitely superior in this boujee Mexican market.
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
Good food and good beer. It's becoming a norm in Eugene! Lucky residents. Had a beer flight, chips + salsas, fried avocado, chicken and veggie tacos. Beers were good with nice separation in taste profile. Liked their Berliner Weiss and the Mexican lager. Chicken tacos could use a bit more seasoning, but still pretty good. Overall good food, beer, service and ambience.
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
Wow! So so so good! Everything was amazing! The service, the food, the drinks- 10/10! Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. Our table was so silent because we were too busy enjoying the food. Staff was great and friendly and I appreciated how close the environment was. Finding a table was a little hard, because they were so busy- but so worth it! Go try it asap! Don't miss out on the chips and salsa too!
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed visiting Xicha Brewing! It's in a great location and I like how open and bright the space is. They have a colorful mural on the wall which really adds to the overall vibe and a fair amount of indoor/outdoor seating. In terms of ordering - you place your order at the counter, take a number and then the staff brings your food out. I loved how quick and convenient the whole process was. Everyone was friendly and the food came out super fast as well. I got the Tacos Mix Plate which includes your choice of 3 corn tortilla tacos with rice on the side. I got barbacoa, chicken & shrimp. The barbacoa and shrimp were my favorite! My friend is a vegetarian and had the veggie empanadas. She absolutely raves about them and I think it's awesome they have options to appeal to everyone! I'm obsessed with the Margarita Flight! I've been waiting for a place in Eugene to start doing these! It did not disappoint, super cute and flavorful! I really loved the guava and mango. I definitely recommend this spot and can't wait to come back and try more on their menu!
google avatar

Yelp
A new fun brewery that recently opened up! I actually met some of the staff members during the soft opening and they were so helpful and kind! There isn't too much space inside but they do have the option of sitting outside! The food was delicious!! We all had the beef chimichangas and barbacoa tacos! Will be back soon to try other options!
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
Their margarita flight is deeeeelicious... my fav in town! The food is good, a bit on the salty side for me, but tasty!
google avatar

Aidan S.

Yelp
This place is great. Tasty beers and authentic (albeit pricey) tacos! Service was fast and friendly. The inside was clean and welcoming!

Randy B.

Yelp
Nice venue especially when the weather is good (there's an outside patio). Really good food and really great beer :)
google avatar

Tanner A.

Yelp
Love this place! Just moved into the apartments upstairs and after a long day of moving this food hit the spot. The staff is super friendly, margaritas were delicious, and the chips and salsa came with way more than just salsa! The chips were very fresh and you got guac, 2 salsas, and black beans. Can't wait to try more!
google avatar

Fatemeh F.

Yelp
Xicha is a great choice every time. Cute place with counter service! Great appetizers and menu options-- the food's delicious and filling. I love that they have churros with chocolate!

Rcathryn K.

Yelp
We were at a fundraiser for Ophelia's Place last night and it was fabulous! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively and fun and the service was impeccable! Everyone was kind, attentive and accommodating! The only drawback for me was the noise level inside the restaurant. I use hearing aids and they make everything loud, so sitting outside was the best option for us. I did love the music, though! But from a distance. We'll be back! And thank you for hosting a fundraiser for OP!
google avatar

Josie S.

Yelp
Great new addition to Eugene! It's a small location but they did a great job with the atmosphere and design. I wish there were a few more tables inside because they were packed when we went and the sitting is limited. It's counter service but the staff was super friendly and helpful. The beers and margaritas were great. The food was also really good. I preferred the pork belly tacos over the chicken and beef. All the shells are made in house. We also got taquitos, empanadas, and chips and salsa to try. None of it was greasy, like you get with other fried foods. The salsa that comes with the chips is bomb! I'm gluten free (not by choice) and they had lots of options and everything was labeled (thank you for that!)
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Don't let the limited seating discourage you from this lively and exciting dining experience! All the food was very flavorful, and the guava raspberry sour beer was amazing! I loved the hand-pressed tortillas and pork taquitos most of all. Definitely going to go back to try some of the other tasty sounding menu items like the empanadas and fried avocado. So excited Eugene has a new Latin American restaurant!

Zeph V.

Yelp
Great food, beer and service. These people work hard and it shows, thanks for being there.
google avatar

Kaya R.

Yelp
Delicious new spot in Eugene! Refreshing & flavorful tacos (their homemade tortillas and sauces are ). I could probably eat like 3 servings of those patatas bravas and still want more they're so good. If you're craving yummy tacos, margs and brews definitely worth checking them out.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Have been looking forward to Xicha opening in Eugene! It's a bit of a small space but lots of outdoor tables with heaters too. I tried the Hatch Pollo taquitos and they were delicious! And the beer was good too. The Dos Mundos IPA was my favorite followed by Catharina guava & raspberry sour. Highly recommend this place!!
google avatar

Ashlea S.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in town. I would say the best tacos and margaritas hands down. Great customer service!
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal!! Mango Margarita is great! The chips and salsa come with different salsas and mashed black beans, so good! The tacos were amazing I tired a lot of them. I would recommend this place for lunch. Dinner it's not really what I would consider a sit down dinner place. It is sooooo busy in there and very very loud. Even with how busy they get they do turn out the food in a decent time and it's very delicious.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Hands down best quick taco in town. Super fast and quality flavors. Their margaritas are great and the service just as it should be
google avatar

Josh W.

Yelp
Good food. We tried the chicken tacos and the cubano sandwich. Great spot for a Sunday afternoon lunch.
google avatar

Jalina K.

Yelp
Checked this place out while moving our daughter into Eugene. Beautiful presentation and even tastier food. We tried the chicken empanadas, barbacoa nachos and birria chimichanga. All 3 were delicious. Meats were tender and flavorful and the use of pickled veggies on top added nice acid and visual flair. Sat outside in the cute tented seating area. We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Brock B.

Yelp
Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Presentation of the food was beautiful. Service was excellent. Best Mexican food we've had in Eugene in the 5 years we've lived here. We'll be back.

Kimberly D.

Yelp
I really want to love this place. My husband and I ran out for an impromptu dinner date. The woman and the counter seemed annoyed we were there, in fact a heavy sigh came out of her mouth when we walked up. Umm, ok..... we ordered and there is a tip scale starting at 18%. I'm not sure what the tips are for as you order your own food, get your own drinks, get your own salsa and bus your own table. The chicken tacos were ok, the pickled onions were a great on them, but the chicken was dry. We ordered chips and salsa and the salsa comes in tiny, tiny cups that you cannot dip a chip in. It was 2 one ounce containers of salsa and a half ounce of habanero salsa. There is a bean dip that comes in a ceramic bowl. Why are restaurants not using washable bowls for all the salsa? Why are we serving salsa in plastic cups when dining in? My husband got the birria chimichanga and he thought it was ok, a little bland. Overall we were a little disappointed.
