As soon as I entered the doors, I knew I was going to love this place! After ordering, THIS WAS INFACT TRUE! I ordered the Xielo crêpe, which is made from Chicken, Spinach, and Mushrooms alongside a cajeta frappe. This has to be the best breakfast plate I’ve ever had! Do yourself favor and give these friends a try—thank you for your service! #xieloisheaven

Google
Been a customer since they first opened their doors. I can't say enough good things about the Love that you can definitely tell goes into the food and beverages created and served here. The customer service is always on point and it's rare to stop by and not have multiple customers either coming or going within the few minutes that you will be there. If anyone is looking for a quick grab and go coffee, dessert, or soup and sandwich spot, By all means do your taste buds a favor and visit Xielos!!

Google
I got the Nutella crepe with sweet cream, strawberries and bananas. It was so good! It was the perfect balance of fruit and crepe with each bite.

Google
Every time I walk in, the aroma is amazing! I always try something different, and I’m consistently impressed by how great it tastes. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s clear that everything is made from scratch with high-quality ingredients and love. Thank you for always making my day!

Google
One of my two favorite places in town. Every thing We've tried here as been good or very very good. The drinks, crepes and carrot cake are some of the best I've ever tasted.

J Garcia

Google
Delicious sweet crepe! Looking forward to going back for more of these delicacies very soon! They also have some GF pastries for those with allergies.

Google
This little shop has big flavors! We enjoyed guava empanadas, apple tarte. We shared a delicious savory crepe. Our drinks were perfect for this warm day. We will definitely be returning to try more yummy treats and drinks.

Yelp
I found Xielo during a work trip. It's a super cute small artisan shop in downtown Oxnard. It low key reminded me of a small Mexican town desert artisan store where my grandmother pastries were found! I had the Nutella crepe (strawberries, bananas, Nutella & sweet condensed milk), and it tasted like a fusion of fresas con crema and Nutella bana crepe..... soooooo good!!!! I also tried the flan, super creamy and not overly sweet so that's was a plus +++ I did get a variety of cookies and a guayana con queso empanada and AGAIN sooooo good. I will definitely come back to get MORE CREPES AND MORE PASTRIES. If you are in the area or even visiting near by, Xielo is a MUST try.

Yelp
I can't begin to tell you how amazing this place is. If you're ever in the area and want some delicious pastries and coffee, you have to stop here!! They have crepes to die for and you can watch them make it in front of you. And my main reason for coming here is for their delicious cafe de olla !!! The staff are so amazing. It's run by an amazing family who always makes you feel welcome!! My faves: #berry French crème crepes #cafe de olla #macarons #pecan tart #fruit tart
google avatar

Yelp
This place is just incredible. The people are so talented and what they do and the desserts make you want more. Is anything better than the smell of a warm crêpe as you're walking up to this place? It's absolutely intoxicating. But then there's the desserts. The macaroons, the cream filled empanadas, and the flan is out of this world. Again, if you're in the area, this place is totally worth a try. But I will warn you, their food is so good that it's addicting.

Yelp
What a lovely cafe! In the area and needing some coffee/pastries so happy to find this place. Located DT it's a cozy nook and easy to pass right by. Once inside the aromas are immediate. Wide variety of pastries and treats. As well as crepes and desserts. Lots of options! I ordered a cafe de olla and a variety of cookies. Oh and didn't forget that guava empanada. Yum! Excellent spot. Recommend!

Yelp
My adventures led me to this cute bakery coffee shop serving a wide array of specialty desserts. I normally would go for the crepes, but I was too full and decided to order some almond brittle, almond croissant, and almond cookie to go. I was in an almond mood, if you can't tell. I also tried the caffe de olla, which is a brown sugar and cinnamon coffee. I don't really care for the coffee, but the desserts were tasty. Free parking lots all around. Some seating outdoor. Casual. Service is good.

Yelp
Crepes are amazing, clean and nice people, 4/5 stars due to not being open Mondays & Tuesdays kinda an inconvenience

Candace M.

Yelp
I ordered quiche, a chocolate pound cake, and cookies for an event. All were delicious and freshly made. I highly recommend Xielo for your next event! Xielo supports community efforts, and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Thank you, Xielo!

Yelp
Whenever we are in town we stop here, so far everything has been very good. The almond croissant are the best I've ever had. Nice selection of stuff to try.

Yelp
Love this place have for the past couple years. Been going to Oxnard once a week for the past 3 weeks. So that means I have to make a stop at Xielo. Picked up some cookies, pan de nodal, cheese danish which was just ok, a blueberry stressed also not as impressive as the other baked goods, a couple of monster ice coffees (lrg 32 oziced coffees), small cafe de olla, a jesuitas, even a quiche. Can't just get one thing here. They stay busy for good reason. The owner is nice to everyone. He had a usual stop by and it was nice to see him in a different light even nicer somehow. The place is small but filled with treasures.

Yelp
Everyone that I introduce to Xielo loves the place! The Xielo Crepe is a classic!!! Chicken, mushrooms, cheese, and a lemon sauce. Pairs nicely with the Mexican favorite, Cafe de Olla, which contains piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar), and cinnamon. My sister always places an order for the Strawberry Nutella crepe. Their croissant sandwiches are a quick fix if you don't have time and are on the go. The Tuna Salad Sandwich with pickled jalapenos, lettuce, and cheese is one of my staples. If you are there during the week, make sure to try their soups! The Carrot Soup, the Chicken Noodle Soup, and of course, the Ground Chicken Albondigas Soup! Desserts: The Pastel de Requeson is the perfect balance of sweetness. The Pan De Nopal is comparable to Zucchini Bread. The Dessert Empanadas de Gauayaba are so addicting its hard to not order a half or full dozen.

Yelp
Lots of cookie options and macarons. The tres leches cake is pretty good. Good flavors on the shaved ice.

Yelp
Finallllllly I found a place with amazing Cafe de Olla! I have been searching high and low but thanks to Erica G. (fellow YES member) I finally found it! This place is located in downtown Oxnard, parking is limited, and if you drive too fast - you might miss it . When I arrived, there was a line outside so I knew I was in for a treat. The shop smelled really good, as a coffee / pastry shop should, and the staff was nice and patient as it was my first time there. I ordered the Cafe de Olla off of a recommendation, a pistachio macaroon, and an almond croissant. 10/10, 10/10, and 10/10 (next time, I'm going to warm my croissant up though) The cafe de olla wasn't too strong and had just the right amount of orange zest. Having had a macaroon from a previous location recently, this one really took the cake in regards to taste and size, and the croissant had the perfect amount of almond / glaze to croissant ratio. Overall - I'm sad they are closed today (Monday) cause I would be heading over there right now!

Yelp
Parking can be a bit hard there's a parking structure across the street. The store is a bit small but there's no sit down so you'd have to order to go. There's coffee options as well as crepe and pastries options as well. We ordered the Nutella crepe and the xielo crepe both were good. The portions was good enough to make you full. The services was quick.

Desirie O.

Yelp
Both drinks were very good. I haven't tried the desserts but have been told they are very good.

Yelp
Happy 7th anniversary (2.25.24) ! So happy to have you in our community. I have been a customer since day 1. I used to go more for the cafe de olla here but now I go for the fraps! Today, I got the large cajeta frap which i didn't realize was 32oz. Holy moly! Huge for 8.99 and so good! It was busy today with a line out the door! Soo many people happy to celebrate that they continue providing excellent desserts /drinks and crepes! Always cute, neatly organized and I love the touches of Mexico everywhere! So happy I stopped by! They were super sweet and gifted each person with a "7" shortbread cookie as a thank you! They also had raffles and gifts for customers! Cheers to many many many more!

Yelp
Went to Xielo today , got there right before they closed - truly thee best cafe de la olla! Their polvorones cookies are such a treat. Quick great service with a smile, always a vibe, love their plants and how they support the community. Also love how it's located in a historic landmark (Woolworth)! #coffeelovers #shoplocalbusiness #CafeDeOlla #latinafoodie #xielo

Yelp
Never tried anything else but the Strawberry Banana Nutella Crepe. It is so good!! Hope to try more soon!

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! I have driven to Oxnard just for their Cafe de Olla. The Jesuita is another one of my favorites, which is Oaxacan hot chocolate with Cafe de Olla. Will literally transport you to Mexico. In my case, my childhood! The flavors are so authentic. The place is small, so there aren't any tables to sit, but they do have some benches if you want to enjoy your food there They have a selection of traditional Mexican cookies, which are also delicious. You can purchase them individually or by the dozen. But the Crepes oh my! I haven't been able to resist the dessert style crepes. They are delicious!! The fruit is always fresh and abundant. The service has always been amazing! This is definitely one of my favorite places in Oxnard! Parking can be tricky, so just be prepared for that! Well worth it!!!

Yelp
Love it here every time I stop by. We ordered : Vanilla Icecream & shaved ice topped with cajeta & lechera (very sweet combo but so good) Lechera Peach was perfection . Service was great and smelled so yummy as soon as you walk in.

Irene O.

Yelp
delicious food and crepes but the man on the register always ruins my experience. he is always rude and needs to be trained better, ive noticed he is ruder to Mexicans or darker people. Ive seen him talk and make banter to pale and white people. I love the food but I dont like supporting a business that treats hardworking people like this. Improve the customer service bc the food is already overpriced.

Chris Q.

Yelp
My wife and I love coming here! From the crepes to the coffee , all highly recommended! My favorite is the cajeta frappe or the cafe de olla ! At times can get busy but orders come out quick and service is excellent
google avatar

Yelp
The café de olla (‍) honestly haven't had anything bad here. Small selection but it's all great! Service is always on point also. I always try and support minority owned family businesses, and this place doesn't disappoint
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
Dropped in to purchase cookies for work. Desserts are displayed beautifully. Purchased the prepackaged container and a couple macaroons. Friends mentioned the macaroons were good. I tried the polverones and it didn't have the buttery vanilla flavor and neither did the flower shaped cookie I tried. No flavor. Disappointed that butter wasn't used for the price.

Cazine W.

Yelp
Wow! We ordered a cafe de olla & black coffee, both iced. Both were delicious! That cafe de olla is so good; it was my first time trying it and I was so pleasantly surprised by how sweet and smooth it was. I added half and half after trying it, because I prefer creamy coffee. The staff were so sweet and helpful amongst all of our questions & convinced us to try the tres leches cake, despite our misgivings about a wet cake. All the pastries on display looked beautiful and we ordered an almond croissant and pistachio macaron, as well. They were all delicious! The small shop started to fill up, as soon as we began ordering so we hurried out of the way but we honestly didn't feel rushed by the staff at all. Amazing experience & we will be back.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Cookies are yummy and I love their hot Cafe Jesuita. ¡Todo está súper deli! A little piece of México located in Oxnard.

Bob V.

Yelp
Family run, artisan bakery that has the heart and soul of the community. Baked goods, crepes, sweet or savory are amazing. They bake their own croissants for their sandwiches. Wednesday thru Friday they have home made soups. Their Cafe de olla is tremendous. This place is an Oxnard gem
google avatar

Aliyah Faith C.

Yelp
Their crepes and drinks are amazing. I get the lechera and it's sweet. The service is decent but there's nothing to complain about. The environment is a bit small but clean and it's hard to find parking sometimes since it is in Downtown Oxnard. I highly recommend this place!

Celi C.

Yelp
Best crepas in Oxnard !! I also think you should try the horchata frap when you get yourself a Nutella crepa , best combo !!
google avatar

Della S.

Yelp
I haven't been there but my son who lives in Arizona, has ordered Crapes for my Birthday and sent them to me in the morning for breakfast, like 3xs and some coffee and "oh my Goodness" So Delicious
google avatar

Daniella H.

Yelp
Omg this place was heavely which fits the name! Not only was it a welcoming atmosphere but all the desserts looked delicious. We tried the cannoli, the strawberry and banana crepe, cake pops and their assorted cookies. Everything was delicious! This place is such a gem and they have a variety of great desserts and drinks to choose from . We will be back for more!

Yelp
There was talk about a dessert place in Oxnard that serves Mexican pastries fusion crêpes, and Raspados to name a few offerings. I got someone to pick me a carry out of a fruit crepe so therefore I did not see it being prepared or had the luxury of tasting a warm bite in my mouth. Nevertheless, it did not seem to make a difference. I had it for dessert in the evening, and at first glance the thing that struck me was that it was not drowning in whipped cream. This is true even on the inside. Instead, there was some cream just added on the outside. Fresh fruit was abundant on the outside, as well as the inside. Cutting a piece to taste the crêpe. one can feel not only the softness of the crêpe but also it's thin texture and flavor. The fruit was fresh, well-balanced, not over sweet, to make a memorable impact on anyone.

Yelp
This is a very good place with pastries and crepes as well as ice shaving ice cream Mexico style. The service is great and the place is so cozy.

Karla H.

Yelp
This is the best bakery around. Absolutely love everything & everyone. Highly recommend.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW WOW! We absolutely love this place! Family owned. All of the recipes are from the Grandma, traditional recipes from Mexico. This place is located in the old Woolworth's building in downtown Oxnard. There's parking on the street (love that there's no parking meters). There's two tables (more like picnic tables and benches) in front. The sandwiches are made with croissants (very light, fresh and tasty). We haven't had the crepes yet, but they do look very tasty too! We had the ham & cheese sandwich (with thick slices of both), guava empanadas (these are my absolute favorites here), and I had the cafe jesuita (sweet coffee). They also offer iced drinks, frappes, raspados, Oaxacan hot chocolate. Pastries: assorted cookies, flan, macarons (a variety of flavors). 10 different kinds of sweet crepes. The prices are very reasonable. Stop in and introduce yourself to one of the family members, Juan (dad to the owner).

Ramon S.

Yelp
I remember when we first started coming to xielo. Amazing service and great items to say the least. Unfortunately the owner has become stingy, using low quality cups that caps just fall off and the flan to say the least im not sure if its a slice of flan or a quarter of flan at this point. I mean charge me for it but just give me the actual piece of flan instead of a half of the slice. Very disappointed in how the owner cant even hire anyone else to help him with a register over all not purchasing from this spot for myself anymore.

Yelp
A small family-owned business sporting some delicious crepes, pastries, and drinks using their own family recipes! They take traditional and authentic Mexican goodies and make them innovated. They are located in the heart of downtown Oxnard in the historic Woolworth Building. Come here if you want some affordable and tasty respostería (baked goods), raspados (shaved ice), or crepas! When I say affordable, I definitely mean it! Everything is around $5 or less. When my partner and I went we tried all their classic pastries, such as flor de nuez (.99 cents each), guava empanadas ($1.99 each), and estrellias ($1.49 each). They were all super tasty! You would think the shortbread cookies would be dry and crumbly, but they are actually super moist. My personal favorite was the fresa flor de nuez cookie. They also have a lot of drinks and crepes to choose from! I decided to get the cajeta frappe ($4.90) since the worker said it was one of the most popular drinks and it was very refreshing. Not strong on the coffee flavor, but not super sweet either. We didn't try any crepes but we will be back for them! All in all, I recommend checking this place out if you wanna try some delicious homemade Mexican pastries and drinks!
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Stopped in here for some cookies and coffee and both very delicious. The mini Bañuelos are my absolute favorite!

Claudia G.

Yelp
Tiny hole in the wall that is worth the visit! We got an iced and hot cafe de olla and it didn't have an artificial taste like some flavored coffees do. It's the perfect amount of sweet and they serve it black so you can add your own cream to it. The small cookies are really delicious as well, the empanada de guayaba and cajeta and strawberry cookies we got were very good as well. It smells like a typical Mexican bakery and I wish I would've gotten more stuff to take home. We will definitely be back!

Fernando L.

Yelp
This establishment offers the finest Café de Olla and crepes in town, blending authentic flavors with exceptional quality and presentation. A must-visit for anyone seeking a truly delightful culinary experience

Michelle R.

Yelp
Delicious Mexican hot chocolate drink and the chocoflan was amazing! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Very tasty. The smells were great. The girl at the register was super nice and very explanatory. I ordered a la Mexicana crepe to eat there. The side of hot sauce enhanced the flavor perfectly. Also the girl that brought it outside was very kind and it was ready quick. A nice tasting vegetarian option. I ordered some pastries to go. I got an almond croissant, my favorite. A crispy cinnamon bunello. One Mexican wedding cookie(polvorones), a guava and cheese empanada. And one pecan pie tartlet. The pastries travelled well. The dough was very light and flaky. Things made in house are always better. My absolute favorite pastry was the almond croissant. Like a Mexican bear claw. Very good. The crispy, flat, round cinnamon bunello was the second best and the wedding cookie was a close third. I highly recommend trying this spot in Oxnard. It's not disappointing in the slightest. Delicious food and friendly people.

Yelp
I've been going here for dates, birthdays and special occasions for a couple years now and have really fallen for this little spot. Walking up to the shop you are greeted with the delicious smells of fresh pastries and coffee. Inside you can see crepes being made right in front of you, which really adds to the experience. I have a sweet tooth so I normally go for the sweeter crepes but I appreciate that they also offer savory options. There is not much of a seating area. A few benches are available outside but I don't mind. I prefer to take my order to the harbor and eat my crepes as I watch the boats go by. Overall I highly recommend you give this place a try.
google avatar

Anita C.

Yelp
Very good pastries! I wish the location was a bit bigger but it's really cute inside and the employees are always friendly! The coffee is good but there can be more options in my opinion!
google avatar

L.Roy S.

Yelp
They brought Xielo desserts for staff appreciation day at work...blessings on blessings! I tried the fruit tart, requeson cake (Mexican cheesecake), empanada de guayaba. The requeson cake and empanada de guayaba were my fav! I'm coming back for those. The requeson cake which is basically Mexican cheesecake was SO GOOD. Let me just say, cheesecake is one of my absolute favorite desserts and this one blew me away. I had never had it before. (For those wondering, requeson cheese is a salty, spreadable Mexican cheese that tastes like a creamier, more acidic version of ricotta. Source: google lol) The empanada de guayaba aka guava also has like a sweet cheese filling in it. It was absolutely delicious, I could've eaten like 5 more of those. I'm very impressed by Xielo! All of the desserts are quite fancy and decadent, but the price point is still very reasonable.

Yelp
I don't normally write reviews, but this place was so fantastic I absolutely had to talk about it! I've never been to Oxnard before, but I'm here on a business trip and I decided to stop in here for a quick breakfast before work. It's an adorable little shop tucked away on w forth street. I was a little confused at first, because the shop is in a old Woolsworth? I quickly figured it out, and I like that the unconventional exterior adds to the cute vintage vibe. Food came out 3 minutes after I ordered and was hot a delicious! I ordered: bacon quiche 5/5 I normally hate asparagus with a burning passion but they somehow made it taste good. Hearty, excellent cheese. Monte Alban Crepe 5/5 Delicious chocolate cherry creation which was made right in front of me! Hot chocolate 5/5 Cinnamon and chocolate are a match made in heaven and this didn't disappoint. And then this lovely gentleman came out and gave me a free crepe! Which was blueberry and ricotta , 5/5. Overall this was a wonderful experience at an affordable price. Don't miss it if you're in Oxnard!

Yelp
The crepes from Xielo are always amazing! This place is a must try. Also try the Mexican coffee. It's delicious.

Lesli V.

Yelp
Really enjoy the food, drinks, and desserts 10/10 Although the guy on the register ruins the experience. Seems to always be in a bad mood. Makes you never want to go back.

Yelp
Xielo's a great little dessert shop with some Mexican flavors. The prices are pretty affordable and the desserts are delicious! The moment you step in, there's a smell of sweetness in the air made by the crepes being made. I found it warm and welcoming :) I tried a few things: Estrellitas - shortbread cookie with jam (either strawberry or cajeta?) Usually I find shortbread cookies to be too dry but this one was good! I think the cajeta one had a floral type of scent to it. Never having tried cajeta before, it wasn't my favorite. I did enjoy the strawberry one. Apple bar - Had a thick crust, was good!! I did taste cinnamon so be aware if you don't like it. Empanada de Guayaba - thin pastry with guava. Think this also had a bit of a floral taste to it. I liked the thin crust. Flan - small slice but very creamy and delicious! My friend got a cajeta frappe and enjoyed it. Overall, I was very impressed and happy with my desserts. I'd visit more often if I lived nearby! They have a lot of desserts not shown in their display, make sure to take a look at their menu. Definitely a place to stop by for flavorful desserts.

Yelp
Amazing! Best in town! I've tried all the iced coffees & crapes. You can't go wrong with whatever you order
