‘For the Love of God, Where’s the Deliciousness?’ Asks Critic Tim Hayward | Eater London

"A summer-roll specialist whose plates offer cool, refined touches and lighter flavours; while praised for restraint, these dishes register as comparatively muted next to the louder, more impactful offerings around them." - George Reynolds

Tried this Vietnamese pho spot today and overall it was quite nice! The chicken was tender and flavorful, but what really stood out was the chili super fragrant, aromatic, and added just the right kick without being overpowering. You can tell they make their chili oil fresh; it really elevates the whole dish! 🌶️✨ The broth was light yet comforting, not too salty, and paired nicely with the bean sprouts and fresh herbs. Everything tasted clean and simple, which I appreciated. The space, however, felt a bit cramped and busy they even placed a table right by the entrance, which wasn’t very comfortable. Fortunately, the staff helped me switch seats right away. The service was just average not particularly warm or attentive, but not bad either. Overall, it’s a good spot for a quick, satisfying pho after work. Nothing fancy, just cozy and flavorful comfort food. 🍜

Tucked away behind all the construction from the Millennium Line extension along Cambie & West Broadway is this little Vietnamese gem worth seeking out. The pho broth is beautifully balanced. Savoury, clean, and comforting sip after sip. The lemongrass chicken is perfectly marinated, grilled just right, and stays juicy and tender. And don’t sleep on the drinks, refreshing. I'm a fan of anything tamarind. • House Special Pho - Slow simmered bone broth with beef meatballs, brisket and rare striploin, rice noodles and topped with green onions, onions and cilantro • Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli - Grilled lemongrass chicken served on vermicelli with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled carrots & daikon, peanuts, served with chili fish sauce • Lyche Limonade - Blend of fresh lychees and lime for a twist on the classic lemonade • Icy Tamarind - Tangy and sweetened tamarind served over ice and topped with roasted peanuts

This my third visit - ordered the Bun Cha Ca and Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi. Their quality is consistently excellent. I especially like the fact that it isn't overly salty like other places. Overall, one of the best places for Bun Cha Ca in my humble opinion. For the banh mi, the bread is crunchy and crispy, which matched well with the somewhat saucy lemongrass chicken. Another must try.

We went here with a group of six people and really enjoyed the food. The broth was especially delicious. I just wish they had brought more bean sprouts for the table instead of only one portion for all six of us. The waitress also didn’t check in very often, but overall the food was great.

First time trying Vietnamese food and we absolutely loved it! The spring rolls are a must-try. We ordered the beef soup, rice, and ribs—all were flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the owners are so kind and passionate about what they do. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Went to the restaurant for the first time to try Vietnamese food. We ordered lemon grass beef with rice. The food was decent, but love the fact that they have so many gluten-free options. Highly recommended with the people looking for gluten-free options.

I had lemon grass chicken pho and it was really good. That was my first time visiting the store last week. I had some spring rolls as well that’s served in a basket, great presentation. Location is pretty good, easy to access.

I have been here a couple of times with different groups of friends. The first time we did not plan to come here. We were just exploring dinner options and walked past here and thought this place looked quite nice inside. Once we checked out the Google review, we did not hesitate to give it a try. The highlight was the fish cake noodle shop. I was curving fish and I had never had a pho with fish before. It was very delicious and not fishy at all. The portion was also so huge that I had to take away half that I could not finish for lunch the following day! Spring rolls were super crispy and tasty as well. I appreciated the rolls were relatively thin, so easy to put into the mouth without making a big mess. The coconut shake was extremely refreshing. I felt so hydrated afterwards. My friends liked their beef pho as well. All pho came with a generous amount of basil and bean sprouts Everyone was happy! The satisfying first dining experience brought me back with another group of friends. This time I tried spicy beef noodle soup. It was not too spicy but the little bit of🌶️ helped to bring out the flavour of the food and soup. We had the vegetarian spring rolls which came with a tasty peanut sauce. The rolls were quite nice. However, it seemed the vegetarian pho did not impress my friend. Again, I had the coconut shake, it was as refreshing as it was before. The interior was not like any other typical pho place in Canada. It was more like a relaxing cafe. It was also very bright, clean and spacious. A place that you feel comfortable to hang out with a little bit after finishing all your food, or enjoy conversation with your company. Will definitely come back again.
