I just returned home after 5 nights at Xinalani. Echoing many of the reviews here about the quality of customer service-- everyone I interacted with, from my initial contact, Mariana, to Victor with events, to Leonardo at the airport, to the boat captain and his "first mate" (I forget his name!) to the people at the front desk to the gentlemen at the bar and the servers at the buffet.. to the brave men who carried my suitcases from the boat up many, many stairs to my room-- thank you for an unforgettable experience! You guys made me feel right at home in another country, by myself in the jungle! Thank you all for making Xinalani so special. I've never been more impressed!||I stayed in Room 5 for the first 2 nights-- it is one of the open air eco suites, perhaps the best one with an unobstructed view of the ocean. For an open air/exposed room, I was especially impresed by how CLEAN it was! Also the furniture, particularly the bed was SO comfy. The spacious layout and decor in the room was absolutely bespoke considering it's a glorified treehouse. I loved that room so much and wish I could have stayed there the whole time. I was woken up one morning by a raccoon fight, which scared me, as I was a solo traveler. I sent a note to the front desk and was immediately moved to an enclosed room with AC (the other type of eco suite), no questions asked. That meant the world to me, you guys!! THANK YOU. That room (#10) was also very nice, the AC worked really well and the room was very clean. I'm thankful that it was available and for the very fast action on making me feel safer.||Special shoutouts to:||- Jerry, the resident yoga instructor. Your classes have changed my daily practice at home, and I am forever grateful to you for your guidance!! You are such a kind soul and incredibly talented. Thank you!!!||- Kimi, who leads the adventure tours. I took the advice of some recent posts and signed up for the dolphin tour, which did NOT disappoint!! Not only was Kimi super knowledgable, but also really fun to be around and I was especially impressed by how as soon as I met him, he remembered my name. I saw him around the resort every day and he always made a point to come say hi. If he lived closer to home I'd want to be his best friend. Thank you, Kimi!!||- Ana and Liz at the spa. You are both EXTREMELY talented masseuses. Best massages I've ever had, hands down. I had a regular 60 minute session with Ana, and did a treatment with Liz on my last day. Thank you both for an unforgettable experience!||- Cesar at the beach. He gave me a 1:1 paddleboard lesson on my first full day, and I had so much fun. :) Thank you!!||- The shaman and his assistants at the onsite Temezcal. That experience changed my life in ways I can't explain without crying.||The food was delicious. Fresh and clean/healthy-- plentiful servings and can't beat the views from the table.||There were a couple of retreats going on while I was there, and everyone I interacted with at mealtime and on the beach was so nice and inclusive-- just speaks to the types of people who visit this little slice of paradise. <3||I could go on and on, but just think that if you are reading this and debating whether or not to visit, DO IT!!! This is the spot. You won't regret it. I can't wait to return!
