Bought a red pomelo and the cashier weighed it and charged me £4.50. At the time I thought was weird as they are usually sold per item not by weight and it was much more expensive than usual, I even commented at the time. Should have not bought it as was obviously bring ripped off, they're probably used to ripping off tourists. Loon Fung across the road, were selling them for £2.89 each so was kicking myself afterwards. Will avoid that supermarket in future. Shame as I've been going there since I was a kid (realised that it is not owned by the same people, used to be New Loon Moon Supermarket)
I have read the reply by the owner. I was hoping the red pomelo was going to be superior in taste due to its price but it was dry and not sweet. The one I bought from Loon Fung straight after was far better.
