"Celebrities and socialites have been coming here since 1987 for its famous “goat nipple” chicken soup (by pre-order only). Don’t be alarmed – goat nipple is actually stems and roots of the Taiwanese fig tree that the owner digs up in Lala Mountain every week. Simmered for hours with free-range chicken she raises herself, the soup is as tasty as it is healing. Also try their steamed free-range chicken and crispy blistered pork ribs." - Michelin Inspector

Very local and traditional Taiwanese food. If you like to taste the original of Taiwanese local food, do come here. Do order the special fried spare rib.. huge and juicy meat with special crispy coating crust. The steamed chicken and herbal soup chicken are so good. Surprisingly good sweet and sour fish, fried oyster that doesn’t like a oyster as it looks like fried banana. Steam braised pork with rice is so so good.. Overall good experience with the friendly waitress who used to work there for very Long and cosy environment.

Food is way overpriced. Steamed fish was putrid and had a strong alcohol taste. Servers don't really care that their food sucks and made no efforts despite our complaints. Services is pretty awful considering the prices they charge.

The food is amazing, just come here for the traditional Taiwanese food and you won’t regret it. Just maybe avoid reserving table for the 1 pm time-slot, they’d rush it since it’s close to their rest time.

That was the best dinner place during our 1 week stay in Taipei. A friend of family recommended us. It has 1 Michelin star since this year. Not for a special dish, but for the whole restaurant. On the photo wall you can see a lot of politicans who came here and many other celebrities. The size of dishes very BIG and sooo delicious. Dishes are Taiwanese cuisine, so good. Must try. Even recommended for Laowai (white people) who are more sceptic with traditional food, they wont be disappointed. Unfortunately it is not in Taipei City, it is 1 hour car ride away from Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. And it is not wheelchair friendly as this place has many stairs.

Impressed by the deep-fried pork rib and the "Buddha's Delight". Very good table service too. Reservation is recommended during weekends.

It was packed on a Saturday lunch when we had a set of traditional Taiwanese food. I wasn’t a fan of the food we were served, but I did like the spareribs and the fried taro
