Xintiandi is situated in the middle of Shanghai, south of Huaihai Zhong Lu. Xintiandi is a stylish pedestrian road made of Shikumen houses and up-to-date building styles. It has developed an urban traveller attraction that combines the past with the culture of today.
It is a large-scale, master-planned city-core redevelopment project, consisting of residential, office, retail, entertainment and cultural properties in the heart of the city. This flagship development integrates early 20th century Shikumen architecture with contemporary urban lifestyle, fashion elements, modern features and facilities where visitors enjoy vibrant culture, entertainment and dinning experience. Of course, highend shopping centers and world known famous brand/flagshop stores can also be found here.
As we visited the area on a Sunday, it was crowded with people and everywhere was people, doing their shopping or dinning!
