Xintiandi Style

Xintiandi is situated in the middle of Shanghai, south of Huaihai Zhong Lu. Xintiandi is a stylish pedestrian road made of Shikumen houses and up-to-date building styles. It has developed an urban traveller attraction that combines the past with the culture of today. It is a large-scale, master-planned city-core redevelopment project, consisting of residential, office, retail, entertainment and cultural properties in the heart of the city. This flagship development integrates early 20th century Shikumen architecture with contemporary urban lifestyle, fashion elements, modern features and facilities where visitors enjoy vibrant culture, entertainment and dinning experience. Of course, highend shopping centers and world known famous brand/flagshop stores can also be found here. As we visited the area on a Sunday, it was crowded with people and everywhere was people, doing their shopping or dinning!

this is now called "Xintiandi Style II" to differentiate with phrase 1 which is across the road. the mall is new but hardly find customer, only quiet shops were there. i actually found an ice cream shop quite interesting but staff was so busy with his phone. same as all other shops, staff were all idle and playing with phones only, not likely as looking after the shop nor to run a business. disappointed.

Probably one of the better malls here in Shanghai, given how it's so conveniently located near the subway, and they're actually very innovative in the approach to retail here in the country. Xintiandi Style always looks to switch things up, and be at the forefront of being cool in the entire cluster of malls they have across a few blocks of streets. They are not afraid to tear things down every few years and redo the entire strategy, as competitor malls come in with new and fancy ideas as well. As such, rest assured that the portfolio of shops are constantly being refreshed, from the very premium to the very trendy; from food and beverage, to fashion and utilities.

Beautiful shopping center but expensive.

捷運出口的新天地購物中心一樓，就是一家M-stand咖啡，白冷基調的空間，可自在使用電腦。可能餐飲人潮都往新天地北區去了，所以 還有位子，相對輕鬆。 點了這個夏季強力推薦的「米香芒果」蛋糕，取泰式芒果糯米飯的口味，外型像一個巨大無點骰子，清爽不膩，很有趣，配冰美式剛好。這家還有環保概念，蛋糕小勺是紙做的。 休息夠了就繼續馬當和淡水路的閒步之旅囉！
