Hokkien Huay Kuan

"The interior is inspired by Fujian-style ink paintings, with water features dividing the room into zones. On the menu, premium produce from the province is deftly prepared by Fujian natives for the most authentic experience possible. Try the signature Shuizhu seafood trio – live prawns, razor clams and giant red squid are blanched in a mild mala broth over a bed of pickled broccoli stems, cucumber and bean sprouts for crunch and tartness." - Michelin Inspector

I am amazed with this breathtakingly beautiful outdoor shopping street! The elegance and class exuded by this street are unparalleled. From the meticulously designed architecture to the impeccable landscaping, every detail screams sophistication. The street is lined with high-end boutiques and luxury brands. I was particularly impressed by the beautifully crafted window displays and the attentive service at each store. What struck me most, however, was the ambiance. The street is pedestrian-friendly, allowing you to stroll leisurely and take in the sights and sounds. Whether you're looking to splurge on luxury goods or simply want to experience the finer things in life, this shopping street is a must-visit destination. The class, elegance, and sophistication on display here are truly unforgettable.

A must stop when visiting shanghai its a charming thorwbackbtobthebold shanghai architecture, yet it is completely modern in its shops, amenities and restaurants. All shops are high end and trendy. Its a great place to have a dinner and a stoll with friends or a great date spot.

CHUA LAM’s DIM SUM this place has fabulous dim sum but can’t be located on google. 蔡澜点心(新天地时尚I店) Do drop by if you’re near there for a ‘upgraded’ taste of HK dim sum. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced and thoughtfully combined. Great value for the quality and portion size. A bit on the pricier side, but well worth it for the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic HK dim sum without hefty bill. Definitely a place I’d return to when I’m back in Shanghai and recommend to friends.

Xintiandi is located downtown nestled between the towering skyscrapers. Tt is one of the busiest urban tourist attractions and imbued with the city's historical and cultural legacies. Shanghai Xintiandi's Shikumen building was created by converting residential blocks into a multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment center flowing with restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars of an international standard.

this is now called "Xintiandi Style II" to differentiate with phrase 1 which is across the road. the mall is new but hardly find customer, only quiet shops were there. i actually found an ice cream shop quite interesting but staff was so busy with his phone. same as all other shops, staff were all idle and playing with phones only, not likely as looking after the shop nor to run a business. disappointed.

Xintiandi is situated in the middle of Shanghai, south of Huaihai Zhong Lu. Xintiandi is a stylish pedestrian road made of Shikumen houses and up-to-date building styles. It has developed an urban traveller attraction that combines the past with the culture of today. It is a large-scale, master-planned city-core redevelopment project, consisting of residential, office, retail, entertainment and cultural properties in the heart of the city. This flagship development integrates early 20th century Shikumen architecture with contemporary urban lifestyle, fashion elements, modern features and facilities where visitors enjoy vibrant culture, entertainment and dinning experience. Of course, highend shopping centers and world known famous brand/flagshop stores can also be found here. As we visited the area on a Sunday, it was crowded with people and everywhere was people, doing their shopping or dinning!

Tho people walk through there, the shop staff seem disinterested and I do not think there's a lot of buying stuff really going on. It seems to be more about eating and taking selfies. However what is really offputting is that when the air conditioning is jacked up for summer, it pumps out an unmistakeable smell of faeces.

Very big mall. Has a Looknow Lab that sells Jellycat toys.
