Nothing special for me. Sandwiches were average. But the wait time was very long considering we were the only costumers. I do appreciate their roster path bahn mi because it’s unique, but it wasn’t as tasty as the fried pork or chicken. It’s pretty divey both inside and the parking lot too.

Google
This is a new outlet inside Sun Plaza a Vietnamese strip mall. I think the draw is their baguette which had crispy crust outside and soft inside. There are several bahn mi sandwiches to choose from. They were just okay in quality. A couple of the meat BBQ sandwiches are more expensive than other places. I would stick to buying the baguette alone.

Must have been short staff. Took like 30 min to get my 2 sandwich and it wasnt that busy. They even messed up on my order and had to track me down at another shop. Overall the bread is good. I like the chewiness but the filling will depend on what you order. I order the crispy pork but it was tasteless. Only had the crispy pork and some cucumber slice. No sauce or flavor really. The steam pork was better flavor but they don't seem to offer much filling as you can see from the photo. If youre craving Vietnamese sandwich you should try Huong lan or kim sandwich which is a couple block away. They give you more flavor and filling but the bread isn't as chewy and airy.

Google
Cute sandwich shop that’s affordable. I ordered the bbq pork bahn mi and it was delicious! $8 a sandwich! What a steal! FYI if you’re in a hurry don’t order. The order for two sandwiches took about 10-15 minutes.

Google
Just a Togo place My friend recommended it since it was her go-to sandwich shop. When she had brought it in past for me delish but today it seemed a bit sparse I ordered the combo #1 it had very little meat No mayo, I barely tasted any pate one thin slice of each type of meat. Bread was fresh and delicious 3 stars 2 grilled chicken 3stars One chicken pate chaud 4 stars hot crispy yum Only To go I usually get from another sandwich shop won’t be back here

2024-Getting skimpy on the meat. Bread is very dry 2021-Their buy 2, get 1 free deal on baguettes ($1.50) and sandwiches ($5.50) is really good and very rare in the area. Bánh mì is above average although a bit skimpy on the meat. Baguette is made on premises and really good, light and crispy. For the price, it's not worth it to buy just 1 and they know it but overall value is good with the special 3 for 2 deal.

Nathaniel D.

Google
I had tried a few time and nothing special. Bread is small, less meat and flavor is blah but quite expensive.

Bob T.

Google
This is a new place. They made their own baguette. It looks clean. I ordered pork belly ( ba chỉ) . My bánh mì portion inside seems skimpy but it’s alright. The meat is less fat then I thought it would be which is great. I’m picky with Bánh Mi. I don’t think there are any good Banh Mi in San Jose anymore. But this place seems to be above the rest. I will give another try next time with roast port .

Yelp
I wanted to try Y-Linh Sandwiches because they have a "Bi Chay" or "Vegetarian shredded pork/meat" sandwich on the menu! Most banh mi shops do a simple tofu or mushroom sandwich for their vegetarian/vegan option, but Bi Chay is a more traditional banh mi filling and since it's specialized, it's harder to find. Y-Linh's Bi Chay is more mellow and light in flavor than the one at Lee's or others I've tasted. It's not oily or too hard and crunchy. Their baguette is great! It is soft on the inside yet crunchy on the outside - the perfect texture for a banh mi. Overall, a fantastic banh mi - though personally I would maybe prefer a touch more seasoning or maybe a dash of Maggi sauce to liven up the flavor a little more. $7.50 before tax

Yelp
Had Y Linh for the first time last week. Ordered the recommended #1 Combination and #5 Roasted Pork. Not sure if quality was just shitty mid-day or if it's like that regularly, but this was damn near the skimpiest and laziest banh mi experiences I've had in SJ and an objectively bad way to spend $16. No mayo on the Thit Nguoi and just a tiny smear of pate. That's intentionally a bad move. Meats were okay, literally only slivers of daikon & carrots. The cost cutting is apparent. Droplets of sauce on the Heo Quay. Stale pork skin, cut into tiny little pieces. That's egregious. There's no saving this sandwich. Won't be coming back. Save your money for Duc Huong. 1/5 but bumping up cuz the cashier was very kind. She had to turn down a few customers because they were just out of plain banh mi and iced coffee. Not her fault obviously, but it's a defeating admission nonetheless. The irony isn't lost on me, but it may be on them... the place lacks heart. No idea how they were able to expand, but I do hear the newly opened Milpitas location is better... for now.

Yelp
The sandwiches here are made well and are tasty. I ordered a veggie sandwich and a grilled pork sandwich. The flavoring is good and the ratio between veggies and meat is also good. They also got the order for us in good time. You order at the cash register and then wait for the food (there are some chairs for the wait). However my biggest if about this place is at times it is not clear what is in the sandwich. I asked them what were in the veggies and she simply took a bag out of the fridge and said this stuff with some noodles. While it was quite tasty, it's weird not knowing what exactly you're eating. So they can work on the descriptiveness of the boards and what not. Overall though, we both liked our sandwiches here.

Yelp
Y-Linh Sandwiches is located in a busy plaza with lots of parking. It's a small shop and the inside was a bit dark inside compared to the hot sunny day, but my main focus was on getting something delicious and cold to sip on! I decided to give the avocado smoothie a try and it did not disappoint. I wouldn't order it if you're not into sweet drinks, but I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my drink and would order it again if I'm ever back.

Yelp
Great banh mi place. I thought that the Roast Pork Belly was so flavorful my only complaint was that it was in the fattier side, even for pork belly. Also bought a baguette for $2. Service was fast and ambiance was typical. Recommend 100%

Yelp
I was walking by and saw this Vietnamese Sanwiches Y Linh and decided to order two banh mi thit #1 (one for myself and the other for my wife) to try out. The order came out rather quickly since there were only me and another customer in this small store. I tried it out once i got in my car. The bread, layers of different meat and veggies are there as other places. Three bites in i felt just a bland and dry taste that made it hard for me to continue eating it up. i think it lacks of pate and/or sauce like other places. Yes too much of it is also overdone but this is bad. At home my wife took a couple of bites and that is it! Maybe it is just us as there were a lot of good reviews at this place but sorry as for us it does not cut it!

Yelp
We get Y-Linh sandwiches for lunch sometimes and whether it's Banh Mi, the office goes wild. We normally order the veggie, chicken and pork banh mi's. I've only ever had the pork but it's super tasty. The bread is light and crisp and is still even good after a few days.
google avatar

Phoebe T.

Yelp
Their pate chaud is DELICIOUS! I've seen them on Door Dash & decided to give it a try. Truth be told, they have one of the best pate chaud I've ever eaten. Super flaky & flavorful. I ordered one of each (pork/chicken) & I wished I had ordered more. Their sandwiches are good as well, but I can't get over their pate chaud. My husband really liked their Vietnamese ice coffee as well. He said it was strong & hit the spot. Overall I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Yelp
I'll be back. This place makes great sandwich with lots of meat. And the pastry was so good I regret buying more. The lady with the blonde hair was very nice and has great welcoming service that's hard to find these days.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
The bahn mi here is incredible. I opted for the roasted pork which was SO crispy. The meat was fatty in a good way. I have heard the grilled pork and pork belly were really good so I'll try that next time. The bread and all the ingredients were very fresh. The wait wasn't more than 10 minutes and they seemed busy so the food came out quickly. They didn't have any seating there so it's really just to go. Overall I thought the bahn mi was one of the best I've had and I look forward to coming back here.

Yelp
Came here with my bf, and we ordered a sandwich (combo #1) and the pate chaud (2 chicken, and 2 pork). Loved these flaky, buttery, vietnamese meat pies, filled with pork/chicken and herbs and a hint of sweetness. Two was enough to get full, as it's mainly carbs... delicious carbs!! The square shaped are chicken and the round ones are pork (two bucks each). The setting inside was pretty simple, a few pastries on display, a large menu up front, and a fridge on the side with some beverages available. Then a lot of open space, to wait for your order (there's no dine-in here, just to-go orders). The lady serving us at the counter was friendly and helpful, and we were in and out in no time. And parking was easy in the lot shared amongst the asian businesses in the plaza.
google avatar

Olivia T.

Yelp
Very slow service. After waiting for 20 mins, we found out that they gave away our order by mistake. The lady told us to wait another "three minutes" and they'll remake our order, only to make us wait for another ten minutes. This was with zero other customers in the store. The sandwich was very mediocre and the meat tasted weird.

Yelp
My mom comes here all the time to buy meat pies! She usually gets like 2 dozen sometimes. My cousin from LA loves them too. My mom would buy 2 dozen and comes visit LA to share them with my cousin and my Uncles and Aunties. I believe my mom buys sandwiches from here too and it's really good as well! We usually get everything togo and eat it at home because this place is pretty small but nothing wrong with that!. The service is fast and employees are really nice! Next time, I want to try other things!! Definitely come here if you craving vietnamese sandwiches!

Yelp
I ordered a Grilled Pork banh mi here because I was in the area and had a hankering for Banh Mi. I liked what Y-Linh brought to the table! Flavor wise, it had its own very Maggi-infused twist which I appreciated. Bread texture was nothing to complain about either, a nice combo of crunch and softness. Definitely a satisfactory mixup from the other more popular banh mi places in sj!

Yelp
This sandwich shop makes good banh mi sandwiches. The price is fair, the service is good and the wait time isn't too bad. Of course, if you're in a rush, just order on the phone in advance. Recommended.

Yelp
Service is horrible. I ordered and told them very specific NO eggs and they put egg anyway and they messed up the same thing every time! My daughter can't eat egg., - they must have hire a bunch of incompetent staff in the back. They can't even make your order correctly. They make mistake every single time.! My husband hate their sandwich he says it's not enough sauce and the pickles is not even sour. I come by because my son likes their eggs & sausage. But then my daughter Can't eat eggs and I couldn't get them not to put eggs. It happened too many times and I finally spoke up this morning. Most of the time I took the sandwich home .. found it incorrectly and just let it go. This morning checked and of course it wrong again .. took them à long time to fix it!!! I asked them to just removed the egg and put sausage only .. they took my sandwich inside took the egg out, and added veggies to it!!!! And who asked to put veggies??!!! And when I told them, they laughed at me sarcastically saying "just remove the veggies"!!! Well just so you know when you added all that veggies to the kids sandwich the smells of the onions stick to the sandwich that it nó longer taste the same to those who don't eat onions!!! It's not "just to remove the veggies". So I will not be coming back for a long time. The sandwich is very small for $8.50, and the food is not that great and the service is horrible. I will not be coming bck for a long time.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I had already eaten but spontaneous just ordered the pork belly bahn mi and it was so effing good! I was already full from noodles but when I ate the bahn mi it felt like I didn't eat at all and just savored every bite. I actually almost cried on how flavorful the pork was. Getting it toasted was nice. The toast is not like break your filling toasty it was just the right amount. They have fresh veggies in the sandwiches too! Do be aware that the jalapeño strips are spicy! Like Der lol it's becuase I was like oh there's like no spicy seeds on them ya know but yeah it was spicy The Thai tea was good! Not so sweet buuuuuuuut there was definitely more ice than drink The pastry was good! Gawd I think imma order this tomorrow lol

Yelp
Horrible wait time. Just horrible no apologies. Not even busy. Won't be back. There's other food viet places that are better.

Yelp
I live in the area for 6yrs , and this is my first time here at the sandwich place . The service was great and their place was also clean . I wish they have more selection with their desserts though. The parking is not so great it's too many cars .
google avatar

Justyne S.

Yelp
This is one of the better banh mi sandwiches I've had in San Jose. I ordered the combo. Really flavorful meat and pate. The French bread was light and crispy. Great portion of veggies to meat to bread. I'm craving another one just talking about it. I also got pate chaud they were meaty and flakey.

Yelp
On 12/28/2024 at the King Road location that the server claimed their wifi system was downed but the transaction show it was approved but they still want us to paid in cash then promised to reverse the charge once wifi is up running....(there were quite a few customers at time inside the store.) I even requested the server wrote down on my receipt was paid in full in cash. Assuming it was honest response from the staffs. But as of today on 1/10/2025 That I have to filed a disputed with my credit card. On 1/4/2025, I had called in the store and speak to the same server, Mrs. Hang showed on the receipt, and spoke with her whom was totally aware of incident happened on 12/28.. then she asked for my info.. and promised that after the owner "Verified the transaction then will contact me to clear it up.. " Never once neither the store servers or the owner have reach out to me to follow up... This type of customer service is unacceptable in our community. Receipt #130 POS Date: 12:28/2023 Time: 12:07 pm Ticket #: 200035 Amount: $49.80 I love their foods but will not go back due to this was a second incidents w/ Ý Linh.

Yelp
A friend recommended this is where he likes to get his banh mi from. It is located in a strip mall with lots of restaurants and other shops. It is close to Tully and King. So, it is East San Jose = sketchy. The store is small, with no place to eat inside. The cashier was friendly and polite. She asked if I wanted the veggies on the side. Most sandwich places don't ask you. I ordered two of the Roasted Pork Banh Mi ($7.50). I forgot to ask her if this was only on Fri, Sat, and Sun only. The sandwich was smaller than most other places. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside. They used a garlic/soy sauce spread, in addition to the usual cucumber, cilantro, pickled daikon, and pickled carrots. But, the roasted pork with skin on...yum! The skin was nice and crunchy. Who doesn't like crispy skin on the roast pork!?! Tip: If you pay cash, there is no tax added or service charge. I paid $15 vs $15.56

Yelp
My go to for freshly made pate chaud made of flaky buttery layer minced pie stuffed with either pork or chicken fillings kind of a Vietnamese appetizer and I usually buy a dozen individually they're price at $2 each. Staff always so pleasant and helpful not to mention that their prices are hard to beat very cheap and reasonable been coming out here since their grand opening day. Loved having their freshly oven baked baguette and garlic breads goes very well with a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee price $5 and the ladies working here know that I'm a regular patron. Best to come by early and there's always a line out the door weekends it gets busy and pack located in a large Vietnamese plaza second to Vietnam Town. Please support your local business highly recommend to my friends and co-workers. Bi chay man is my second choice consist of vegetarian shredded pork with slice tofu.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for banh mi heo quay (roasted pork banh mi). If you go early in the morning, the heo quay is so good with the crispy skin. I've had the banh mi later in the day a few times and it's still good, but it doesn't hit the spot as it does in the morning lol.
google avatar

Yelp
3.5 stars overall but rounding up for their delicious pâté chaud! I agree with other Yelp reviewers that their banh mi is solid, but nothing to write home about. The baguette bread was fresh, but on the smaller side, and there wasn't as much filling (both meat and veggies) as other banh mi spots. I called in my order around 3:15pm on a Friday, and it was ready in about 10 minutes. They had a short line when I arrived, and I'm glad I called ahead for my order. I tried: -#1 Thịt Nguội/Combination ($6.50) & #4 Thịt Heo Nướng/Grilled Pork ($7.50) [https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=RlOmARXrem9wY-gQ6_IxFg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg]: The combination was ok, but needed more flavor. Their grilled pork was pretty good, but a little salty, and there wasn't quite enough meat in the sandwich. -Pâté Chaud (Pork, $1.75, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=DXQ5pgzv6kAFObAHlAyXPA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): SO GOOD, and one of the better versions of pâté chaud I've had in a while- this is a must try! The pastry was buttery and flaky, and the filling was flavorful. Their staff was very efficient and spoke English well, so you don't have to worry about a language barrier. I would come back to try their other banh mi's if in the area (grilled beef, pork belly), and to order more pâté chaud! All staff were wearing masks correctly at the time. This plaza had a good amount of spots available when I was there, but the spots are on the smaller side. I can also see this plaza getting super busy on the weekends.

Yelp
My favorite place to get a Banh mi sandwich in San Jose. Parking is easy since it is located in a plaza. I haven't ordered a Sandwich that I didn't like, but my favorite one is the chicken with extra pate. I also really like their pate chaud. Sometimes the store gets busy, but they allow phone orders so you don't have to wait too long.

Yelp
Stopped in here this afternoon after reading the reviews for this shop. It seems no matter what people feel about anything else that they get from here, everyone is in agreement that the pate chaud (specialty pastries) are delicious, so I wanted to give them a try. They offer chicken or beef on the menu, so we decided to get a half a dozen mixed. When we ordered, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for them. Because he was getting hungry and because the fresh-baked bread smelled so good, my husband decided to get a banh mi as well. He asked them not to make it too spicy and we stepped outside to wait the 15 minutes because this shop is quite small and quite busy. While outside I noticed a couple of things. First of all that the pate chaud are posted on the menu for $1.75 but that we were charged $2 each. Not really a big deal when you're talking about something so inexpensive, but I like for the prices that are posted to match the prices I pay... I believe most of us do. The other thing I noticed on our receipt was that underneath my husband's sandwich order. It said "no rau". I asked him what that was and he said that he had asked them not to put anything spicy on it so that's probably what it meant. Our order was ready in 15 minutes and we stepped back inside to grab it and head out. When we did I noticed there was a small handwritten sign over the register that advised that the specialty pastries were $2 and that they also offer vegetarian as well as chicken and beef; two things that I really would have liked to know before ordering, so just a heads up for anyone coming in. The first and most important takeaway from this experience for me is the same as it seems to be for everyone else... The pate chaud are delicious! Warm buttery flaky goodness! The moment I bit into it, I felt happy. It was absolutely lovely. My husband devoured his three and I ate two of mine, all accept the middle, which I gave to my dog because I don't usually care for meat. She excitedly scarfed down her treat! My husband, still hungry, pulled out his sandwich and that's when he realized that the entire sandwich was only meat and bread. We were confused by this so I had him look up "rau" which is basically cilantro, but there were no other vegetables like carrot or daikon or cucumber or anything. We are still not sure if it was a mix-up or if they just don't put a lot of vegetables on their sandwiches here or if it's possible that everything is pickled with a little spice and so they just kept everything off to be safe. That being said, although it was plain, the sandwich was still fine, especially for the price. The meat was cooked well and the fresh bread was soft and tasted good. We would definitely come back here anytime just for the pate chaud and would highly recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be back to try the vegetarian and will update my review then.

Yelp
Wow !!! This place is great!!! Okay let's start with parking .... Amazing Staff... amazing Banh mi sandwich.... Amazing !! But Honestly it was great crispy bread but soft in the inside. So much flavor with the pickled veggies delicious! The roasted pork one they missed the pickled veggies. I wish it had it but it was still good as is... they only offer it on the weekend. Over all 5 stars I can't wait to come back

Yelp
This review is just for the coffee. My coworker brought me one these for a morning in training and I enjoyed it so I thought I'd drop them some love. The Vietnamese coffee was a perfect blend. Strong and sweet just how I like it. If you're looking for a little jolt, have a sip or two.

kim

Yelp
The crispy roasted pork sandwich is uniquely tasty. I gave a 4 star because I think the sandwich could use a thin layer of homemade and a few drops of Maggie . Next time I will ask for it. Staff are very sweet and flexible. Will try the location in downtown San Jose.

Yelp
A++ for the staff I enjoy coming here because Cool Tea Bar is just couple doors down hehe Banh Mi is good but like other Yelpers say -- their portion isn't the biggest but they got me for sweet staff, clean and organized (they have stickers on their sandwiches to tell you which is what!) I always order their Thit Nuong and Combination, $6.50 to $7.00 -- hold the jalapeños pls -- past couple times it's been consistent with quality and what I expect, a good banh mi that'll satisfy my craving and it does just that Recommend to check out if you're in the plaza ... Cool Tea Bar is also just couple doors down hehe Can't wait to see you guys soon again!
google avatar

Yelp
I've updated my rating to 5 stars because I've been having consistently delicious and flavorful banh mi here. I think their banh mi are filled pretty generously. Thit nuong (heo nuong on their menu)/grilled pork is wonderful here, I love the lemongrass flavor. It's not too sweet either. I also love to get their heo quay/crispy roasted pork banh mi. It's just heo quay, cucumber, jalapeno, and some sort of sauce but it's so good. It doesn't even need the do chua/pickled veggies! I'm also fond of their lap xuong/chinese sausage and egg banh mi. In addition to the banh mi, my mom enjoys grabbing pate chaud here too.
google avatar

Vannie D.

Yelp
They have one of the best heo quay (roasted pork) bánh mì in town! I'm a regular here most weekends because I love it that much. If you eat it right away, the pork skin is super crunchy (yummm). It was considered expensive for a banh mi here at one point for $7 ish each but post-pandemic, nothing is cheap anymore. They do accept credit cards for a small charge.

Yelp
4 stars for the following items: 1. French Rolls and Baguette. No doubt they sell the freshest french rolls and baguette in the area. I use french roll to make my own crab or lobster sandwich, or any kind of sandwich in fact. Few weeks ago during their grand opening promotion, they have the promo of buy 2 get 1 baguette. The baguette even still taste fresh and crispy after few days old. I use baguette for garlic bread to accompany my homemade salad. 2. Pork Belly Sandwich. I'm not a fan of this pork belly sandwich, since the pork belly was too hard to chew. And I thought it's quite expensive for a hard to chew sandwich ($7). I will not order this sandwich again. 3. Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Their iced coffee is SO STRONG. if you're a caffeine addict like me, you will totally inhaled this within seconds, otherwise, you will be wide awake all night long due to this strong coffee! 4. We also ordered their chocolate, ham and cheese croissant. They're just okay croissant, not the best ones as well. Skip this one if you're a croissant buff. This place is located at the same mall as Asian Live grocery store. A strip mall but kinda crowded. Parking can be tricky during weekend.

Yelp
Hot and fresh pastries and banh mi's (vietnamese sandwhiches). Fresh ingredients. Good customer service. You can see them making the bread in the back. This is my family's go to spot for "banh mi xui mai" (meat ball banh mi). I've also had the banh mi thit nuong and that is also very good. The pate cheau was only $2 each and piping hot when I bit into it. Delicious!

Yelp
Did someone mention Pate Chaud? I'm ALWAYS all over these Vietnamese flaky goodies! Obviously, the thing here is Vietnamese sandwiches, but I came to check out their Pate Chaud. Word has it that they're good, and they were! My most memorable Pate Chauds are the ones I've had in the Vietnamese district in Paris (13th arrondissement). Not surprising, given the origins of choux pastry. These here weren't as buttery, but definitely flaky. Just check out my photos to see those multiple flaky layers and air pockets!! I've had too many that simply failed when it came to being flaky. Seriously, I could hear the crunch of the flaky layers when I bit into them after I reheated it. Again, not greasy all over your fingers buttery, but definitely flaky! The key is in reheating the Pate Chauds in the oven. Nuking these are a no-no! They're warm at the store, but they're way way better re-heated at home. I literally enjoyed all five while couch-surfing, minus the two I scarfed down in the car. Nope, no exhibition of any self-control when it came to these. The meat fillings are great too. They have a nice slight black/white peppery kick to them. Choose from ground pork or chicken. You won't go wrong with either. TIP: 1. Re-heat the Pate Chauds in the oven to get the most out of their crispy flaky layers of goodness! 2. Buy 2 get 1 free Grand Opening Special for banh mi sandwiches.

Yelp
tldr: the banh mi here isn't bad, but in an area where there's so many banh mi shops within a 5 minute drive of each other, you really have to stand out. A perk though is you buy 3 banh mi get 1 free (used to be buy 2 get 1), but the price of each banh mi is higher than what you would pay at a lot of other shops. I would come back if I need to buy a large number of sandwiches, but probably not if I'm just buying 1. The bread here is pretty good. It has a nice crunch to it without being too hard. Very fluffy on the inside and compliments all the fillings very well. The sandwiches are the perfect size. We ordered 4 sandwiches, 3 different fillings as follows: Ba chi (pork belly) - SO GOOD. The seasoning on the pork belly was just right, and I like that it was cut into small chunks instead of thin strips. It tasted very akin to a xa xiu type of marinade rather than the plain soy sauce flavor you get at other shops. Overall, this was my favorite sandwich that I tried. Thit heo nuong (grilled pork) - this sandwich fell flat for me. I agree with a previous review that there was not enough lemongrass or smokey flavor and instead was mostly soy sauce. The meat was also very dry and chewy, which made eating not enjoyable. Thit nguoi (combination) - pretty standard. It's hard to mess a thit nguoi sandwich up, but even harder to perfect (if that makes any sense). The cold cuts themselves were very tasty, not too chewy but had a bite to it. But I found there to not be anough mayo or pate, so this one also had a very overpowering soy sauce taste to it.

Yelp
One of my go-to banh mi sandwich shops in the South Bay! I love their fresh baked French baguettes. My favorite is the banh mi heo quay, roasted pork sandwich as well as the banh mi xiu mai, meatball sandwich. The price average is $6-7 per sandwich depending on the ingredients. Each sandwich comes with the usual picked carrots & radish, cilantro, and jalapeño (which can be customized). They also offer to slice the sandwich in half, perfect if you're sharing ;) Y-Linh has various other goodies like meat filled pastries (I recommend the chicken filling), roasted & seasoned peanuts, sweet desserts, and beverages.

Yelp
~ Review is for the Pâté Chaud only ~ I always wanted to try Pâté Chaud since I like savory puff pastries from other bakeries. After seeing the reviews on yelp, I knew I had to try it! When I got there, there was a few groups of people waiting for their orders and a short line to order. When it was my turn to order, it was a little confusing as the workers were walking around and switching places without acknowledging us, ect. We ordered 3 chicken and 3 pork chauds (they were $1.50 each and we got it with the buy 2 get 1 free deal!) and they were warm when we got them! Even though it was my first time trying this, I am hooked (my bf also liked it and he usually does not enjoy savory puffs as much). They were flavorful, crispy/flakey, and smelled amazing. I would definitely go again and hopefully they will still have the deal! :)

Yelp
First time trying this place and it's so good! I got the #8 (Eggs and Sausage) and pate chaud. The cashier was very sweet and friendly! The place overall was nice and clean! Will be coming back again for sure!

Yelp
One of the better Vietnamese sandwiches in the Bay Area. Fresh ingredients and tasty. My favorite is their fry fish cake sandwiches (banh mi cha ca)

Yelp
So I went to Y Linh again after almost 2 years. I must say I am highly impressed with how much they've improved, both in food quality and service. I got 12 pork pate chauds ($1.75 each) and they taste amazing! They're a lot bigger than the ones I had 2 years before, and the seasoning of the fillings is right on point. The packaging is nice. Pate chauds are highly recommended. I also got 3 sandwiches ($6.50 each): 2 combination #1 and 1 xiu mai (I don't remember the number). The xiu mai is great! I've tried banh mi xiu mai in every sandwich places I've been to and this one by far is the best. The xiu mai is soft and full of flavors. One thing about banh mi xiu mai though, you have to eat it right away before the sauce soaks in and makes your sandwich soggy. The combination is also on point. I will certainly try other types if they keep up the high quality in every sandwiches. Service has also improved a lot. The cashier was courteous. My banh mi came out in just 5 minutes so I know the kitchen staff is efficient too. They seem like they have many takeout orders but the interior of the store is well-kept and clean. Parking was easy, but I came at 9 on a Saturday morning so parking might be a bit busier later in the day. All in all, I've changed my mind about Y Linh, and they've become my new favorite banh mi spot.

Yelp
Came here for an iced coffee after grocery shopping nearby! Their ca phe sua da packed a punch but it was also sweet, so easy to drink! I didn't know this until I was ordering, but every iced coffee comes with a pate chaud. They are small in size, but big and flavor! I think it was ground chicken. The staff was super nice and the ordering process was quick and simple. I haven't had the chance to try their other food items like banh mi yet but I was happy with my experience here!

Yelp
The two young cashier girls are not friendly with minimal English. They have attitudes. The banh mi is expensive with not much meat in it. The skin is crunchy and very sharp. It cuts my tongue when eating it. The taste is ok, not very special. I bought their roasted pork and combination. Their roasted pork is old and not much meat inside as well as the combination. The item here is pricey. Parking is hard to find here. The space is very small. Their smoothies are not that great either. Not recommend.

Yelp
I met the owner. She is the new younger breed of Vietnamese chefs. Her food has the traditional essentials and an uplifted taste. Very flavorful but light n delicate. Gourmet Vietnamese food with bình dân pricing. Their bánh mì sandwiches are super yummy. But my favorite are the pate chaud. They taste very authentic with the right fragrance from old Vietnam. I love this place.
