Review for the restaurant. Simply brilliant and really worth the trip up from Aberystwyth. Excellent service, very good menu and delicious food. The puddings were just perfect end to a very very good meal.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful village. Delicious food, excellent wines, and very friendly service. The slow cooked Welsh lamb neck was a particular highlight. I felt that nothing was too much trouble and all staff were eager to help in whatever way they could. Recommend the pub quiz on the third(?) Friday night of the month.

Proper pub, proper real ale, proper food - and a lovely friendly atmosphere with no pretentiousness. Locals and visitors mingle quite happily. This is old fashioned hospitality at its best. Best to reserve a table for dinner as they do get busy. You certainly won't go hungry - this is top quality food served in country portions for hearty appetites whether you've been working on the land, hiking or cycling.

This was a last minute booking and did not disappoint. Staff were so helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, even calling me back from a missed call when I was booking the room. The room was spacious with excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Dinner in the restaurant was so delicious and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is also fabulous a lovely town to look around and explore. Fabulous.

This venue was recommended by a local. It’s in a quiet market town in a rural area. It is a non- chain hotel with a bar attached. We went for lunch in the bar that is probably around 300 years old. Very cosy and atmospheric. Advise booking as it quickly filled up ( on a Friday). They serve the same menu in the larger hotel restaurant. There was a decent selection that would cater for most tastes/ dietary requirements ( including vegetarian but not sure about vegan). The crab starter was modest in size but very fresh and tasty. It is of a comparable standard to top notch London brasseries. Not cheap, but very good. The chicken main course was of a very high standard. Cooked to perfection and it was very good quality. The home made chips were great. The green beans were also good. The cost was medium and good value. The chick pea burger was very well done with home made coleslaw and chips. We didn’t have much room for desert but couldn’t resist the great selection. The cheesecake was amazing. It came with home made ice cream that was also great. The service was great and our young chef Dylan Smith did an excellent job and has a very promising career ahead of him.. Highly recommended.

We arrived on motorbikes in torrential rain. Tracy and her colleagues couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. Wet kit was taken to the drying room; the bar proved to be a fantastic place to get warm again! The rooms are good with excellent, powerful hot showers. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast. We liked it so much we popped back the next day for lunch. The Welsh rarebit is definitely worth a try.

We booked the hotel for a night away but wanted to spend time on the coast and mid wales. So was a perfect spot. |Tracey and the team could not have been more welcoming.|We had double and twin room and were of a very high standard with great en-suite. |Very much recommend booking for evening meal that we thoroughly enjoyed and with breakfast included all round great experience.

We loved this comfortable and friendly hotel in the heart of Tregaron. We stayed just one night during a motorbike tour, but would love to come back and stay longer. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the dinner and breakfast were delicious!
