this place is awesome! their portions are so good and so well priced! they were closed because of a catering order but were kind enough to accommodate us!! The kebabs are so tender, flavorful and the sides are really good too! felt the hummus could’ve been a bit more salty if eating with bread, but paired with the rest of the food it was fine. Definitely coming back again!!

We had an excellent dining experience at Ya Hala restaurant. The mixed grill was flavorful and perfectly cooked, And the real star of the meal was the eggplant fatteh ( try to order it in advance it’s freshly cooked) . The combination of flavors was simply outstanding, making it a dish I would highly recommend to anyone , homemade quality ! Shayneeneh on the side also a great option The service equally made me feel right at home ! Good food! We tried few varieties and everything tasted really well. Owner is a nice person too. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for Mediterranean food. Space is a bit tight but they compensate that with good service.

Just amazing food - the cook is definitely talented. Best falafel I’ve had outside of Jordan. A few of the foods are too cheap for the portion so I hope they’re making enough to stay open for a long time ♥️

The food was really good. I feel like they are underrated. Really liked the shawarma fries were good.

It may be a small place, but this is one of the best Middle-Eastern restaurants out there. Their food has been consistently delicious- all the meat is well done, and the chicken in the mix-grill platter, something that's usually dry in other places, is juicy and tender. I especially liked the red chicken they had started putting in the platters recently, but I think they don't always offer that in the platters. The rice is another thing I love - it's so soft and flavorful, it's one of the best rice I've had so far. Their sandwiches are also tasty (the chicken and beef kabon ones). Something I noticed is that they don't always pick up the phone right away, but maybe it's because of prayer times? Either way, they're always nice and upfront about how long it will take because they make things fresh. Highly recommend this place!

How in the world does this place have these kind of good reviews… they all must be relatives.. I walked in there they had two tables and they were both dirty …. They had no water to buy to drink… then for the special the food came out and it was very bad the falafel tasted like it was old and burnt and not cooked on the inside took one bit and left all my food there on the table the rice had a meat taste to it … the oil they use to fry tasted very old and fishy …. The hummus was bland and the tahini g was horrible with no bathroom at all to top it off …. And I asked the cook (because there was no one else in the store to help you) about what kind of oil he used for the falafel cause they smell like fish and I have seafood allergies , guess what he responded with if you don’t like it don’t eat it!!!! Really !!! I took my toddler and left !!! Horrible experience I’m from the Middle East and this was a shocking experience!!!

About a 1-1.5: I saw that Ya Hala had some rave reviews, but after my experience, they are a bit sus. Their menu offers various apps, salads, sandwiches, and entrees - we tried: +Eggplant Fatteh - prepared with eggplants, beef, pita chips, tomato sauce, and garlic yogurt sauce; the pita chips that were mixed in were super soggy, and should have been served on the side for the consumer to mix in +Mskhan (musakhan?) Rolls - with bread, chicken, summac, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil; kind of similar to egg rolls +the Mix Grill - comes with beef kebab, chicken kebab, and shish taouk - this came on a bed of rice with a side of salad and hummus; unfortunately, the meats seemed to not be fresh and reheated; they were not cooked on the spot and seemed to have been prepared way in advance Service was friendly, but the food was super disappointing. I love their food; all the wraps are incredible. They call it sandwich on the menu, but they are warps. Their service is fast, but they didn't one dish of my order once. The ambiance is okay. I mean, it is a small place to take it to go It's the move, but this is an excellent option for lunch or dinner. Also, their price are reasonable.

Agreed with all the 5 stars thus far. More a takeout place. Only seven seats if dining in. Today, I only noticed 2 people working. Friendly. I did not mind waiting. I watched food videos on the TV while I waited. Our food was served at the right temp. Meat was tender and juicy. Seasoning balanced. Not salty. Vegetarian combo plate available. Lentil and Fava bean side dishes available. Would go back to try sandwiches. Food made to order.

Awesome Mediterranean food, more like eating homemade than a restaurant! They have all of the usual Middle Eastern standards like hummus, shwarma, and kabobs (try the lunch special to get a sample of their kabobs) but what makes this place unique are the dishes that you won't find anywhere else. My favorite dish is the Fatte - pieces of pita and eggplant in a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, technically it's an appetizer but the portion size is like an entree! My wife likes the hurra, a pasta dish with lentils. Call and ask for the frequent specials throughout the week like saidiyah (delicious fish on top of rice with slivered nuts) or mandi (slow cooked chicken and rice). Service is friendly and pretty quick considering that these meals are hearty and homemade rather than fast food and portions are very generous.

Recommendations: Mix grill platter Beef kabob entree Hummus Salad Fresh ingredients with a homemade taste. My new favorite middle eastern restaurant in the suburbs.

Delicious and authentic Mediterranean Food. Love the menu, tried almost all of the food. Highly recommend and I give 5 star for the taste, freshness and preparation.

A new little restaurant owned by a very nice Jordanian family. Great to find as the food was fresh and very tasty. It is a must-go and they also have a $6.99 lunch special which is very generous of them. This little area of Morton Grove has Mediterranean, Pakistani, Afghanistan, Italian, Filipino and Japanese all on one block!

The food is fantastic and it has such an authentic feel to it. The owners are wonderful and the service that I received was great. I ordered a mix grill entree and a shawerma sandwic. both were delicious and i enjoyed them a lot. Ill definitely will be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family. You dont find restaurants like this regularly!!

You have to try this restaurant. I've been getting food from Yasmeen before she opened her restaurant and I have been so Impressed. It's a true home cooked vibe and she cooks from the heart. So far I've had her arayes, fatteh and her stuffed grape leaves/zucchini leaves and I am literally addicted . I plan on trying more. Aside from the great food, Yasmeen is such a sweet and kind lady. Go there . You won't regret it!

A local neighborhood that is clean and efficient. Ordered their lunch special which was great $$. Got rice salad gyro meat and kabob. The rice has flavor and the meat was soft and succulent. Yasmin the chef is so kind and friendly! Definitely going to be a favorite carry out place for me although they have minimal seating. Everything to love!

Ya Hala is a great restaurant and really surprised me with their tasty and fresh chicken and kabob. There rice really matched the taste of the soft chicken and the flavor was out of the world! I loved the organized service along with the quickness of the food. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants to try some certified middle eastern food!

Food is excellent! Freshly made and extremely authentic. I have catered from here already and my guests loved it. Try the stuffed pita for sure definitely a must have. They make you feel like family. Will be going often!

Food is awesome...highly recommended if you havent tried it...LOVE the owners and the passion/hard work they put in...2022 is not an easy year for most but let the food do the talking!
