Interia was nicely refurbished. Staff was very attentive and lovely. When I read the menu, I was looking forward to it, as it looks fun, someone with a sense if humour must had wrote it. But food... sadly, overall average and unimaginative. I felt the chefs are shy with the flavour, it being SriLankan restaurant, I expected more... overall small portions, for the price tag. We ordered salmon starter, which we send back at first, sadly it was way too salty. Attentive staff listened and genuinely thanked us for the feedback. We got the new portion of salmon, which was much better. A prawn starter was nice, probably best from the whole meal, tbh.
The main was the lotus root curry and prawn curry. Well, that's where the biggest disappointment came. The sauce was very light, thin, not much flavour at at, in either of them. Red rice felt overcooked and as if was reheated in the microwave. I wasn't a big fan of coconut roti, stodgy and poorly executed. Nothing like mauritian rotis. Anyway, I am aware this is a new restaurant and needs to improve, but I can't wholeheartedly reccomend and won't be going back any time soon. Has nothing to compete on other middle eastern restaurants in the area, that I had been discovering as a local for over a decade.
