MICHELIN Inspectors Unveil Their Favourite Dishes from the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi 2025

"Yadoo’s House offers Luqaimat, sweet Middle Eastern dumplings best described as a type of dough fritter or Middle Eastern doughnut. The exterior is crispy and golden, inside soft and slightly chewy. They are lightly dusted with sesame seeds and drizzled with a warm, super sweet date molasses. Once started, these are surprisingly addictive." - The MICHELIN Guide

Yadoo's House

"Sitting beneath an apartment block in the suburb of Rabdan is this likeable spot. The purpose-built white space was always going to be a challenge when it came to giving it personality, but assorted artefacts and articles like spice sacks and a sewing machine go some way towards creating the look of ‘Grandma’s house’. The Emirati cooking is done with care and respect for tradition and the portions are as big as the prices are low." - Michelin Inspector

Enlist in Michelin guide 2024, I didn’t order large main dish like Briyani or Majboo, only ordered three side dishes so can try more varieties. All side dishes are in moderate prices less than 30 AED but surprisingly in quite large size.

I had my first true Emirati style breakfast at Yadoo’s Restaurant & Cafe. Yadoo’s House means ‘“grandmother’s house” which gives us warm, welcoming, traditional environment and the staff are very accommodating too, an overall awesome experience🙏🏼

The place was empty though we arrived at peak lunch hour I went there after checking the Google reviews and was extremely disappointed. The portion size was extremely small and the price was high. Worst of all my lamb maghbi came with a foul smell and with mostly fat covered in it. It was also tasteless. When asked they said they make the best maghbis!!! I left the food untouched and left the restaurant. Totally not recommend it!

Yadoo’s House Restaurant & Cafe is a charming family-style restaurant where you can dine in true Emirati style. The name means ‘grandmother’s house’ and that warm, welcoming, traditional environment is exactly what you’ll find here, alongside great local cuisine. Noteworthy dishes include the various majboos (Emirati chicken rice), salona (chicken stew), and kofta offerings. However, just like an accommodating relative, you’ll find some more western dishes for the less adventurous, including pasta dishes and sandwiches. There’s even a dedicated kids’ menu.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my family, you can make a reservation before arriving for them to arrange the tables because we were a big group, and the emirati food was really delicious my mother loved the place, the staff are welcoming and helpful a quiet place with a parking nearby, they have a beautiful vintage UAE decoration and there Karak is spot on, will visit it again for lunch

Yaddoo's house Delivery order review Made an order through talabat for lunch and they were easy to communicate with. We replaced two candies with karak tea but no regrets as their tea was really nice , extra sugar on the side, good since I dont like it too sweet and I was in control ! Speaking about what I got The macaroni : It took me to ramadan and gatherings since it used to be one of the dishes my family used to have it specifically there ( every house is different but yes thats ours ! ) The grape leaves madroba: Here comes a local dish with a twist. Not everyone finds a proper balance but they did ! Madroba is suppose to be easy on the stomach yet extremely delicious and they delivered it in a very nice different way since grape leaves got into the mix but it was really balanced and pleasant ( normally a madroba is made from rice , arabic spices and a form of protein blended in we can say something similar to roseto rice but more juicy , ingredients mashed in and arabic like ! Fun info : madroba literally means being hit , and they tend to hit the ingredients together to form it hence the name ! ) I have to admit the following; their price is not the best ( I feel its slightly high like any excellent resturant these days ) but its worth exploring when you are an expat trying to explore the UAE food , try also their breakfast and sweets ! Or when like me in a move yet miss home food ! My price in the list was with talabat discount Will I come back ? I didnt come in to start with lol , my order was take away but I would surely love to come and try the full experience while being seated ! Do I recommend it ? You can always go for cheaper but not always get it right , they will serve you exactly what you pay for , pleasure and accurate taste that stimulates your taste buds pleasantly!
