The Hottest Restaurants in Denver Right Now, Summer 2024

"Chowhounds in the know are raving about this tiny but mighty Thai eatery inside Lakewood’s Viet Hoa Supermarket, which is dishing up myriad staples — from papaya salad and massaman curry to pad prik pao and khao soi — with aplomb along with a particularly prized rendition of boat noodle soup. With all of six tables, the dining room fills up fast, so plan on visiting during off-hours or prepare to wait." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

A cozy gem inside Viet Hoa. This thai restaurant offered a great ramen and a minced beef with mushrooms. So delicious! Have been coming back twice. Will go back again! Thank you for your great customer service!

I love little hole in the wall, mom and pop shops like this. In this case, it's literally a mom and pop dual running this restaurant that's technically inside of the Viet Hoa supermarket. We came here in search primarily for Boat Noodles and let me tell you, it does not disappoint! The broth is very flavorful and rich, exactly what I was expecting and craving. We also tried the Drunken Noodles which were pretty good, the Thai Iced Tea and the Thai Iced Coffee. Look at the generous portion size for the drinks! I appreciated that, cause they were so good I didn't want those drinks to end. Would definitely recommend coming back. My advice, we got a "medium" spice but it wasn't spicy at all, so I would recommend maybe going up a level to "spicy" if you're on the fence.

Excellent family owned restaurant serving up some authentic Thai dishes. The restaurant is located within the Vietnamese market. The owner is from Bangkok! We ordered Boat noodles, papaya salad, Thai fried rice, and pad Thai! Everything was delicious. I never had boat noodles before, I’ve heard their dish is very authentic! Although a bit sweet and too heavy for me but I loved the pad Thai!

We stopped by this place tonight because I saw a post on Facebook that they have thai boat and lad na which both are hard to find here. I forgot to order the lad na but we ordered thai boat, tum yum, pineapple fried rice, and pad woo San and I have to say that the thai boat was the high light of our dinner. This restaurant is inside of Viet Hoa so the restaurant closes when the store closes which is 8pm. But it’s definitely worth it.

I’m originally from Thailand. I ordered the pork boat noodle for to go. The boat noodle soup at Yai Thai is spot on. The broth has rich flavor with herbal fragrance and served with bean sprouts, basil, and Chinese broccoli which we often get in the boat noodle bowl in Thailand. The pork meat was tender 🍜 I will definitely visit again 😋

I managed to get a pic of the sampler. The boat noodles and crab meat fried rice were devoured before we thought about photos. Authentic Thai boat noodles. The broth is thick and rich. Crab fried rice was so fragrant and tasty. The pricing is good. They’ve only been open a month. Definitely worth a try! Located in Viet Hoa Supermarket/Other entrance is to the right of the supermarket.

Epic lil spot, food was very home-y and tasty, makes you feel all warm and nice and the dining area is very clean and feels good. They did play the same song on loop the entire time which was a tad cringe I hope next time I go they have a variety of music

They charge $15.04 including tax for chicken fried rice. US Thai Cafe only charges $11.12 for the same dish, same size. And US Thai Cafe taste better and has a better atmosphere.
