Yak & Yeti (Finsbury Park, Stroud Green)

Excellent Experience at Yak & Yeti Restaurant! I had a wonderful time at Yak & Yeti! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour, great quality, and served in generous portions. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and everything felt perfectly priced for the value. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty food and great hospitality!

OMG ! The food was amazing, this is our second time eating there, we are from Denmark 🇩🇰 , it is so easy to eat there after a game at Emirates Stadium! Special thanks to Sujat for everything, you are a genius!

Nice food, a little westernised but still good. Great value for money. 2 starters 2 mains 1 rice 1 naan and a beer.. £54 inc service. The decor and feel is a bit mundane, but the quality and price brings it back higher. I'll be going again for sure

This place serves some really amazing Nepalese food. The momos are excellent. The Zimbu Dal is like no other dal I've tried before - it has an almost chocolate / tea flavour. Interesting! I really liked the eggplant bharta. Nice meaty chunks of eggplant in a powerful sauce. I also recommend the paneer, which was very soft and fluffy. The naan was slightly sweet and wonderful. Truly an excellent meal, and fabulous value for money. On the downside, the decor is slightly tired (especially the ceilings), and the service, although kind and smiling, was really slow - we waited over an hour to be served, and not on a particularly busy day. Might have been a fluke.

Beautiful Nepalese cuisine. Very unique menu with delicious options. Very friendly & smiley staff who made us feel welcome. The coriander curry in particular blew my socks off (in a good way)! All different flavours 🤌🏼will be returning here.

My friends and I were craving Indian food while on holiday here in London and decided to come here because it was closest to our air bnb and we were pleasantly surprised. When we walked in we were seated right away and given a bottle of tap water for the table. We ordered chicken lollipop and crispy chicken momos for our starters, both of which were delicious. We each ordered an entree and got overzealous with the carbs and ordered two rice dishes and two orders of garlic naan. As we were enjoying our meal, the staff would come over to check in on us and help refill our cups with water. We also had a nice conversation with one of the staff about our stay here in London near the end of our meal. Overall, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was great!

For a frequent yelper, 4.5 star means it is extremely good however this is not the case here. Food is average and overpriced while service is below average. They even give me a plate with some yellow stain on it. Don't go if you have other options.

On our recent trip to London, my boyfriend and I stayed in a flat in Finsbury Park. The variety of restaurants on Stroud Green Road was overwhelming, and after wandering past 10 enticing restaurants, we both decided to go for Yak & Yeti because neither of us had had Nepalese food before. I asked the waiter to suggest the most typical Nepalese meals we could try. I wanted a vegetarian option and he wanted chicken. He set me up with the Gurkha Mismas Veg, and him with the Zimbu Chicken. I would love to explain how it tasted, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent. The spices were delicious and unlike any curry I've had! That alone makes this restaurant worth the visit!

Their specialty item, the momo is less that and more standard pot sticker or Chinese dumpling. They advertise a photograph of what a momo should be but then serve something quite different. Duplicity never bodes well for any business.

A dozen of us met at Y&Y for a surprise birthday dinner. All the food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed ourselves completely. The restaurant even threw in a birthday cake which was a pleasant surprise. More than anything, the service and staff really made our visit. They were friendly and we got talking to one of the owners who gave us the download on the restaurant and his own family origins (he will ask you to guess where he is from - I will keep the answer to myself!). We were really made to feel at home. Highly recommended experience and also great value. Our table was groaning from the amount of food ordered and it came out to £30pp, including alcohol.

Delicious food and prompt delivery. I ordered the Xacuti Lamb, which had tender, flavoursome meat and a very tasty, creamy sauce. The Daal Makhani was unlike I've ever had before...usually they're quite runny but this had the perfect consistency. Flavouring of food (cloves, cardamom) was superb! I would definitely order again.

I always go back to Yak & Yeti when I crave vegetable curries with a couple of chapattis. Their service is fast, professional and their food is always great.

I ordered delivery from Yak & Yeti and the quality of the food was pretty good. The Salmon Ajwain was tasty with crispy skin and the Chicken Jhaneko was also tasty although it could have been more tender. The Vegetable Momo could have been better and more authentic with thicker pastry... the ones I received looks a bit like vegetable dumpling bought from a Chinese supermarket in the frozen section. The delivery time was good and they also gave complimentary bread and condiments. I would order from Yak & Yeti again but not the Vegetable Momo.
