The TL;DR Guide to Dining at Walt Disney World Parks | Eater

"A visually impressive sit-down restaurant with a dining room that often outshines the food; the menu is an eclectic mix of Indian and Southeast Asian influences that can be hit-or-miss but provides an attractive, air-conditioned respite." - Helen Rosner

Moved to Colorado two years ago and we are constantly in search of great Indian food and an Indian buffet. We just tried the buffet and it was excellent. Best saag paneer so far . All the other dishes were excellent. We lived all the flavors. The buffet is an excellent way to try all the dishes. For lunch it’s $17 per person and well worth it. We left stuffed and will definitely come back.

Google
My wife and I were visiting the area from Los Angeles. We had the lunch buffet, WOW! Delicious food, big variety of choices all the way down to desserts. Plenty of options if you are a vegetarian too. Clean and spacious atmosphere is a bonus and very affordable. Thank you for the experience, we will be coming back next time we are in town. Great for big groups as well.

Google
We tried the lunch buffet at $16.95 and came to the conclusion that this is the best Indian buffets we’ve ever had~ It offers a good variety of rices, salads, soups, vegetarian dishes, chicken dishes, and desserts. It also comes with complimentary naan breads~! We definitely will come back the next time we visit Denver!

Google
I love this place so much!!! The buffet is expansive. All the food is flavorful and authentic. The decor is lovely. There seems to be a nice drink selection, but I haven’t personally tried any (always focused on the buffet when I’m here). The one negative is their butter chicken is a bit on the dry side but that’s just personal preference—I always prefer dark meat. Overall though this place is delicious, comforting, and always a treat!

The food is excellent, everything is clean and has unique flavor. The service it's alright, could be better. Guys were a little bit serious. Maybe that day the didn't have it.

Google
I recently tried the lunch buffet at this Indian restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. Having sampled buffets at various places, I expected much better. The food lacked any real taste and was overpowered by excessive red food coloring. Even after washing my hands multiple times with soap, the reddish tint on my hands and nails persisted. The buffet offered very limited non-vegetarian options—only chicken. I was expecting a variety like egg, goat, or duck, but there were none. The only rice options were yellow and white rice, which were underwhelming compared to the more diverse offerings I've enjoyed at other Indian buffets, such as chapatis, rotis, and biryanis. The dessert section was even more disappointing. The carrot halwa was essentially raw carrot shavings, and the rice payasam tasted like sugar water with leftover rice. It was painfully obvious that the rice was reused from the buffet because it was so dry. On top of the lackluster food, I noticed a significant amount of dust and cobwebs on the lamp fixtures and above the seating areas. The AC vent was also fully covered in dust, which created a bad vibe and raised concerns about cleanliness. However, I do want to acknowledge that the service was excellent. The servers were polite and welcoming, which was a saving grace in an otherwise disappointing experience. But overall, I expected much more from the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Google
I'm really quite upset with my experience. And I hate to leave a poor review but I'm leaving a poor review. It's 8:34 p.m. the website says that all of the yak and yetis are open till 9:30. I went in and they told me that they close at 9:00. With 20 minutes left for the buffet I asked how much the buffet was and it was still full price. I have eaten here before long ago and the food was fantastic. But to walk in with 20 minutes left

Google
We have come here a few times and each time we've had the buffet and we've never been disappointed. The salad part is simple but always fresh. The main dish part has plenty of items with protein and vegetarian choices. They have always been hot, flavorful and fresh. The staff is always helpful and attentive to making sure everything goes well. We love this place and will be back again and again!

Yelp
We visited with a large party of 20 for my daughter's 21st birthday. I usually order Tandoori Salmon with medium heat when I go to a different Yak and Yeti. Both my daughters ordered it here, but it was very flavorless with no heat. However my son ordered honey chicken medium spice and it was almost too hot to eat. I got the buffet which didn't seem to have all the options I like from the other Yak and Yeti location, but it was fine. Other than that, the experience was good. Those who hadn't eaten here before enjoyed what they got. The wait staff helping us was kind and attentive. They struggled a little with separating checks but in the end we got it all figured out.

Yelp
We stopped in unexpectedly the other night due to bad traffic on Kipling. The restaurant is large and clean and a little dated. The service was decent- they came for our order quickly and we got our food fairly quickly as well. Although they filled our waters almost as fast as we could drink, there was no table bussing whatsoever. Our food was all pretty good. We split the tandoori grill (it is very lamb heavy) and the veggie dumplings in curry (which were quite good). The butter naan was outstanding, but the cheese naan was soso.

Patricia R R.

Yelp
I got some vindaloo and a couple of samosas last night. Ate the samosas and a bit of the vindaloo and within an hour felt sick. Today it is worse and feels like full on food poisoning.
google avatar

Yelp
I was disappointed in the number of food items in the buffet. Very limited & not very tasty. Not worth the $20 plus price. Just my opinion.

Rach H.

Yelp
Food could be hotter and a bit more choices at the buffet. Restaurant is hot on the summer.

Yelp
Every once in a while I find myself craving Yak & Yeti. They serve incredible Indian, Nepalese and Tibetan food and I have never been disappointed by anything put in front of me here. If anything, I've been disappointed by the size of my own stomach. Yak and Yeti has a few locations around the Denver metro area though I've only visited the two in Arvada so far - both great! They offer an incredible buffet that has everything that I'd ever want including samosas, saag, paneer and sweet potato and/or chicken tikka masala, among many other things. It comes with baskets of naan as well! Their full menu has tons of other options including momos which are one of my favorites, and a big selection of drinks also. Most of the times I've visited Yak and Yeti we've had a pretty big group (10+) and they always offer separate checks and do a great job keeping everyone straight. I definitely recommend making a reservation here if you're looking for an easy group spot!

Yelp
I'm here at Yak & Yeti 1st time now. Brought my wife here for a different treat for dinner. I heard that it's pricy. $23 buffet per person. That's not pricy, I usually have a $20 lunch at TacoBell. So far, the food is Wonderful!! The staff are constantly coming by our table to refill drinks and the Manager on duty even came by to every table checking on customer

Yelp
Overall- delicious food, surprisingly excellent beer selection, good service, but not the most kid friendly We went for lunch and had the buffet. The food was excellent had a great variety. I tried a couple local beers that I was impressed with. There were no baby changing tables in either of the bathrooms (men's and women's, not individual inclusive bathrooms). Sadly I had to eat my food cold because I had to go find somewhere to change my child's diaper right after I made my plate, but the food was still good. Our stomachs didn't feel the best after it digestion wise.

Yelp
Stopped by for a lunch and was pleasantly surprised that they offered buffet options. Great selection of different entrees all for $20. They also have an impressive and unique tap list. Service was quick and responsive and the decor/furnishings feel a bit outdated (reminded me kind of a converted Pizza Hut). But I was there for the good food and not the scenery, so I didn't mind. Cool spot that kind of feels like a hole in the wall. Definitely overate, but I feel like that's part of the buffet experience.

Yelp
Came here for lunch buffet on a Monday - the wait is almost non -existent, and the food is ready to eat. A great plus for those wanting a quick lunch. The price is pretty reasonable - I believe I paid $20 inclusive of tip. There is a large variety of food - the tandoori chicken and saag paneer are my all time favorite. The vegetables didn't look super fresh, but the desserts were amazing. Lots of vegetarian options as well.

Yelp
Got the lunch buffet. It has a dark, formal-ish atmosphere. The servers were also courteous and helpful. The food though.....was mid-not especially bad or good. I thought that the chicken was just a bit overcooked (not juicy, but also not dry) and the flavors lacking, though this could be because the restaurant was catering to the local palate. The quality/taste was to be expected for the price point, but also nothing special. The selection was a bit narrow though.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Awesome food and very nice staff. I recommend this establishment if you love Indian food.

Pamela M.

Yelp
Our favorite girls lunch is yak and yeti on 44th. The buffet is superb fresh and bountiful.

Yelp
We had Indian food in England this summer, and this was just as good! We ordered chais, naan, chicken masala, and lamb masala for an early dinner. Everything was amazing and we took leftovers home. The staff were attentive and so nice. We also liked the decorations inside. We almost left without our to-go box, and they were quick to stop us to make sure we had it before leaving. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Bro. Omg!!!!! This is the best and super kid friendly. Not sure why others have wild expectation's of grandeur. We loved it. Yak & Yeti Restaurant and Bar - Wheat Ridge** is a hidden gem on Kipling St. in Wheat Ridge! Our group of 11 was quickly seated and expertly guided through the buffet by the attentive wait staff, especially Armid. Armid patiently answered questions about the Nepalese dishes, making our first-timers feel welcome and comfortable. The food itself was incredible - flavorful, fresh, and with a variety to please everyone. I especially loved the creamy mango lassi, a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the garlicky naan, which was pillowy soft and oh-so-satisfying. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Indian buffet experience, Yak & Yeti is the place to go. Just be sure to ask for Armid - he'll make your dining experience even better! The restaurant is open from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM every day and has a rating of 4.5 stars on Google Maps. I hope this helps! http://googleusercontent.com/map_content/0

Yelp
Had the buffet - it was delicious! Service was fantastic. Really enjoyed our visit. Will be back again when we come back to the city.

Yelp
I wish we had this restaurant near me in Texas. Every time I visit Colorado I try to eat here. Everything ive ordered has been yummy. The environment is enjoyable. I highly recommend.

Yelp
This place slaps. I never thought my fav Indian spot in Denver would be a chain, but it is! Get the wings, you will be hooked.

Jill s.

Yelp
Not my favorite. We ordered for pick up and the Tikka Masala didn't have much flavor and was sort of watery. The garlic naan was also flavorless and not very good
google avatar

Yelp
This place was good with friendly service who attended to our needs as a party of 7. Some in my party ordered the buffet but most of us ordered off the menu. The drinks took awhile to get there but the food was delivered quickly. I ordered the shrimp which I do when I am not sure if the chicken is white meat only - which I prefer. It was good but the sauce looked artificially red so not sure about that. But my friend ordered the eggplant. WOW...that was so good! I wish I got that. The place is somewhat tired in appearance and could use some better ambiance, but overall it's a nice family place.

Yelp
Hm. I went to the other Yak & Yeti which I thought was alright. This one was just a poor experience. I was seated with my partner and his kids immediately, but we were asked 3 times within literally 5 minutes if we were ready to order or not. Then the staff just disappeared. Ooookay. I liked the jalapeno beer on draft that I got, though it wasn't very cold. And the Lamb Rogan Josh I ordered was very tomato-y. That's never happened before. Yeah really didn't like this Y&Y location. Will stick to the other one!

Joee S.

Yelp
We have eaten at this location since it opened and ordered takeout many times. It is on our list of recommendations for our Air BnB and we always have great feed back!! We love the food and service. Recently had a mix up on a take up order and whith out pushback the manager remade our order. We offered to pay for part of it because only one part was wrong but he insisted on remaking the entire order in appreciation of a returning customer!! Great service !! Great Food!! Great Value!!

Yelp
After an all-day testing at our martial arts school, we headed out for a celebration dinner with 16 of us. When we entered, we were met with graciousness. They set us up tables, and we all ate from their buffet. The service was top-notch. I can't remember when I've been to a restaurant and they were so attentive to everyone's needs.

Yelp
We were so happy when Yak and Yeti moved to this location. We have eaten in person 3x and ordered takeout 2x. The food has been okay but never wonderful. The last time we went, we had the newly reopened buffet lunch. The food was fair, about 6/10. The price was outrageous! 24 dollars per person before beverages, taxes and tip shocked us. It's just unacceptable to charge that much for mediocre food. The service was good and the decor okay. We will not be going back given that there are better options in the area.

Yelp
Never had much Indian food until about a year ago when this location opened and it's so good! Love the different spice levels you can get your food done in. The tandoori chicken wings, garlic jalapeño naan and tikka Marsala are all delicious! Have also had the saag paneer before and it's spot on! Huge portions!
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
My experience here was excellent! Can't tell you how amazing the dumplings were and the eggplant dish was incredible! Everything steaming and fresh! The saffron rice was light and fluffy!! The service wonderful. The naan was so garlicky and fresh. Will definitely be my go-to!

Yelp
After the excellent Yak & Yeti experience in La Junta, CO I thought I'd give this location a try and I'm glad I did. Chicken Korma, Garlic Naan, hot Chai, Pakora.... yum yum yum. We were promptly seated and given water and a small platter of flatbread with mint, yogurt, chili and tamarind sauces. Our Chai tea came out super fast and our food wasn't far behind it. Hot and teaming with flavor, the blend of coconut, corriander and cardamom of the korma was spot on. We were offered the buffet for $24.99 but opted for just ordering off the menu. Also looked like they were doing a decent take-out business also. I would eat here more often if I lived closer.

Yelp
This place provides you a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The service is great. However, the taste of curry in general is average. Nothing special.
google avatar

Yelp
The lunch buffet on a sunday cost about $20 per person. It was so worth it. I had to get seconds of the Lamb Ragan Josh and the Alu Gobi. The chicken soup was amazing as well. When I went it wasn't very busy. Our server was very nice and I don't think my water was ever less than half full. The fruit tasted fresh and delicious. I would definitely come again.

Alex B.

Yelp
Amazing food, I got to try numerious dishes I have never had before. Employees were what sold it tho, very attentive, friendly, and even explained what each dish from the buffet was so I knew what I was eating.

Yelp
Yak And Yeti is amazing! The food is fantastic, the service is friendly, & the atmosphere is inviting. A must-visit!!

Yelp
The food was great, the staff was very attentive and the ambiance was comfortable. Clean and light.

Yelp
This place sucks for what you pay. I was so excited to have an Indian restaurant in our neighborhood and this one clearly is struggling to get by. I ordered to go and none of the dishes tasted traditional. The curries were watery and the korma had an odd flavor. And the samosas were soggy. Additionally my boyfriend got super sick from the Rogan Josh- which was also watery and flavorless. The next day we called the restaurant to request a refund and they refused saying we didn't bring the food back for them to inspect. We ordered an hour before they closed for pick up so, no we weren't going to drive all the way back to complain. We were hosting my parents and showing them Indian food for the first time and were super embarrassed this is what we had for them. The customer service sucked so bad, no attempt to mend the situation at all. DON'T DO IT, drive the few miles down the road and go to the one in Arvada. Thanks for your response, Dol- the manager was the one who refused to help initially.............

Yelp
Yak & Yeti is our go-to place for Indian food. They are consistently good and now with their new location in Wheat Ridge, I never have to wait long! We get Tandoori Chicken, Sag Paneer, Tikka Masala and always some naan! The staff is great and the new restaurant is warm & welcoming. We'll continue to be regulars:)

Tasha M.

Yelp
Saag paneer and paneer masala were amazing! We enjoyed it with perfectly cooked garlic naan. Very generous pour of lassi. Iced chai had a nice mellow sweetness with subtle spice. Enjoyed a beer flight. Unfortunately 3 of the four pours were served warmer than I prefer and I don't like my beer served ice cold. It was ironic that the darkest pour, a chai stout was served the coldest. Regardless we will be back for the food and very attentive service!

Yelp
1st time at this local chain. I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were in line with other Indian restaurants (Spice Room, Serene) that I visit. The food portion size are just right. I only took the Naan home. I started off with classic mango lassi, a yogurt based drink($5). Very orange and creamy. Next, I got vegetable samosa's($6). Two pillows that were fully stuffed!! They provided 4 cups of condiments (mint, chutney, yogurt and a chili preparation) with a crispy cracker. My entree was the Shrimp Vindaloo($17 + $4 for shrimp). This dish originates in Goa, a small province on the southwest coast of India. It is typically very spicy. I asked for the highest amount of hot and was rewarded with a tongue tingling preparation. The shrimp was tender (no shell or tail) with potatoes, onion, tomatoes and bell peppers in the curry sauce. It was served with a bowl of saffron infused basmati rice with a cinnamon stick for additional flavor. The Naan was called Kabuli stuffed with sweet dates($5). Very good. I got 4 slabs, ate 2 and took 2 home. Dinner came to $42 + tax and tip. Very good value.

Retha H.

Yelp
My sisters and I went for the buffet. There were lots of delicious items to select from, and the service was exceptional! A few of the items were a little salty for my taste, but other than that the food was very good! I will definitely go back.

T. U.

Yelp
Tasty curry dishes and momo dumplings. The portion size was generous. Also great beer.
google avatar

Cat G.

Yelp
They doubled their buffet price and no longer have cheaper buffet during lunch on weekends. There is a very small selection of food items for $25 per person! The food was consistent and good, but it would have been cheaper if we had ordered from the menu, and it would have been fresher. They no longer being naan to the table, either. I paid almost double what I had expected to. Will not return. I went and calculated what we actually ate if we had ordered from the menu. Including all desert items, I would have saved $30. Doesn't seem like a simple matter of "rising costs." Your staff also ignored us the whole time, despite only three tables in the restaurant. Other locations are much better.

Lisa H.

Yelp
I've been trying to get here for buffet lunch for a while and finally stopped in today feeling excited. The buffet offering, although it had a lot of items, did not offer anything but chicken and many were not appealing. Every single dish I tried was cold, including the fried samosas. Not sure if someone forgot to turn on the burners, but it was seriously disappointing. We did not even try desserts or anything on a second trip, so it was certainly not worth the $50 for two people for lunch. I'm a pretty experienced Indian diner and home cook, and this was really disappointing. The staff is friendly but I think they played the same song on loop the entire tine I was there. I'm taking it off my list because dining out is getting so expensive it really has to be worth the money.
google avatar

Cheri Y.

Yelp
We went for the first time last night. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The tandoori chicken was good, a little dry but we would order it again. The saag paneer was the best we've ever had. The naan was delicious as well as the "chip and dip" complimentary appetizer. The portions were plenty for the two of us to split and still have leftovers to take with us. The beer flight was good also. The prices were reasonable. It was a nice quiet atmosphere where we could actually visit. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
google avatar

Brandy R.

Yelp
I wanted to love our experience here. We are Colorado natives who moved away for three years and just recently moved back. We have missed Yak and Yeti and we're excited to return for a wonderful meal. Sadly this was not the case. The foods on the warm table were all cooler than blood temperature; cool carrot pudding, cool pakora, cool chicken. The cool saag was so buttery, which some may like, but for me it was too rich and overpowering. The cool samosas were not as seasoned and flavorful as we remembered. Worth mentioning is the line of four restaurant sentry standing in a line with their arms crossed watching folks eat. I will keep my eye on the reviews to see if things improve. We want to love this place.
google avatar

Gabriel M.

Yelp
While this has the Yak & Yeti name, it does not live up the standard of the other locations. This one has all the same offerings, however it seems dirty, their was a hair in the food, the rice was empty the entire time, there was also only yellow rice, the buffet was not well stocked, and the service was below par of the other locations. Won't be coming back to this location but I am not discounting the other just because this one falls well below.
google avatar

Athena L.

Yelp
Went during lunch but rather than doing there buffet we ordered off the menu. We got cheese and onion kulcha, garlic naan, butter chicken and chicken saag. I ordered spicy but it wasn't even hot at all...a little peculiar. In any case, their saag tastes good. Some other places around the way make it too salty, there's is pretty balanced. The service was a bit slow for lunch so I probably wouldn't go again on a work day but since it's so close to my house I have no qualms about going back.
google avatar

Carli H.

Yelp
Best Indian food every time, as well as the sweetest most personable staff!! We live in the neighborhood and stop in at least once a week. Honey chicken and veggie samosas are top notch! We also love the tandoori chicken
google avatar

M R.

Yelp
We have fond memories of the Yak & Yeti Brewpub in Olde Town Arvada so thought we'd give this newer location a try. Boy were we disappointed. We started with the Tandoori Chicken wings, our favorite. The flavor was off and the wings were not particularly crispy. In fact, they were oily with a somewhat rubbery texture. The kids and I all ordered chicken curry. I've eaten curry all over the world and it is always more gravy than soup. Not here. It was quite watery and not very flavorful. Also, I ordered an iced chai tea. It was more like chocolate milk and was not very cold as it had no ice. After tip the bill was $100. I came home and literally had to throw up my food. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
google avatar

Rhiannon L.

Yelp
We drove all the way from Fort Collins after calling and being told that the buffet would remain open until 9pm. We arrived at 8:32pm, and were turned away. Even after we explained that we had already called, they would not seat us or allow us to order from the buffet. We WERE regular customers here and came very often. We will now be trying Curry Kingdom or Corrianders instead.
google avatar

Allison Q.

Yelp
We live close to this location and get takeout from here often. It's always delish, fresh, and ready when they say it will be ready. We tend to get butter chicken, tikka masala, or korma, with garlic naan. It always hits the spot!
