Where To Eat When You’re Visiting Tokyo - Tokyo - The Infatuation

"Although yakiniku originated from Korean-style barbecue, it’s evolved in Japan to become its own thing. At Yakiniku Ushifuji in Nishi-Shinjuku, it means glistening tartar topped with black iridescent caviar and thick cuts of chateaubriand wagyu, marbled with enough fat that it looks like somebody laid woven lace on top. Inside, you get a semi-private booth, so it really feels like it’s just you, the grill, and the meat. Yakiniku Ushifuji offers three main courses, starting with 13 items and unlimited drinks. Each highlights the restaurant’s superb meat quality, all Kuroge A5-grade wagyu beef, the highest ranking meat can get. But the premium tasting course is the meat magnum opus, offering cuts that were purchased earlier that day. When you’re trying to find the restaurant, just look for the giant gold cow out front." - kiera wright ruiz

Lovely spot on the second floor with a view of the street, we had the a la carte Wagyu sirloin which was melt in your mouth delicious! Quiet haven from the busy streets. The quality was great and not too expensive, we both had drinks and less than $120000

Super nice beef that’s made in several ways - burger , grill, sushi and so much more. Service is super friendly and two staff members serving each table. Environment is good. Really worth the money.

Chateaubriand has a taste that will make you fall in love with it. The hip, buck, and tongue are so tender and melt in your mouth. Service is top class with an explanation of each dish and small talk even with limited English. 👏 We definitely recommend this restaurant.

This meal was amazing! I ordered the cheapest course meal (11,000yen) and each course was delicious. I also added an extra order towards the end of the course meal of the cut I liked the most (added 4 slices for 3,000yen). My waiter/cook was very nice and explained each course to me, how to eat it, and recommended pairings for each cut of meat (wasabi, miso, etc.). Would definitely recommend one of the course meals!

The type of beef isn't among the most popular like Kobe but the taste of it easily surpasses some popular ones, especially the uni beef sashimi sushi that I couldn't even distinguish the beef from Chu Toro. The foods were nice. The steak sandwich was definitely the best. Maybe because we had a last minute booking from tablog to start the dinner at around 2015hrs, the speed of each dish seemed to be in a bit rush. By the way, it would have been better if the room temperature was colder.

Beautiful restaurant, incredible food. Pretty steep price point, but for table side service and a dedicated waiter/chef (for the coursemenu) i would say it’s incredibly worth it! Coincidentally chanced upon this place and we will definitely be back. It’s amazing!
