[Read first] I’m always happy to leave reviews, but they were pretty persistent about asking for them while waiting for dessert and before the bill, with a few reminders. It felt a bit uncomfortable, though they don’t pressure anyone to give good reviews for freebies. The high ratings likely reflect the overall experience, myself included.
Saw the amazing reviews on Google Maps and decided to give this place a try. Managed to walk in without a reservation, which was a nice surprise. It didn’t feel super local since most of the customers were speaking English, but overall the experience was still very nice.
They recommended the premium course, which had a good variety of cuts and came with appetizers, dessert, and tea. Ryuichi-san was very attentive and friendly - he helped us cook the first piece and the last few pieces, and let us grill the rest the way we liked.
The restaurant was playing jazz when I visited. It was a bit loud for me, but the vibes were still good for a slightly premium dinner.
