Yalda

An early dinner with friends at Yalda was more than just an incredible meal, it was an experience. We were all new to this restaurant and was immediately impressed with the classy ambience and hospitality. Our server was very knowledgeable and patiently answered our many questions and guided our selections as we were all unfamiliar with the menu. We made several selections, sauces (garlic toum and tzatziki), appetizers (roasted Haloumi cheese), salad, 3 different rices, entrees, and dessert (pistachio ice cream) and every single dish was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful! We were dressed very casually and was still treated with utmost respect, but if I were to dine after 6 I would dress nicer. Great place for a meal with friends, romantic date, or business dinner. I can't wait to go back and try other offerings. Parking is tricky if you don't know the area, so go for the free parking garage located very close to the restaurant or choose their valet service. The cost was very reasonable for a complete food journey/experience!

A nice Persian restaurant with fabulous interiors. They have a mezzanine seating and covered outdoor seating. We need to make reservations to get a table as it becomes crazy busy. The staff are very welcomimg, patient and will go beyond to explain the menu, suggest items and check on the food. The presentation of the food is top notch. Each and every dish is meticulously arranged. The starters are within a nice price range but entreees go beyond 15. Food is very good; tasty and fresh. The drinks and desserts have a separate menu. Try anything with pickled mushrooms and you will have no complaints.

This is my second time dining at Yalda specifically for lunch, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, the food was very tasty and great quality. My friend and I ordered 3 items from the lunch menu to split and it was more than enough. The salmon wrap is excellent and I recommend ordering this because they typically only have it on the lunch menu. It is served with seasoned fries and a savory dipping sauce. Loved! The Chenjeh (grilled sirloin) was excellent. We ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Overall, I do recommend Yalda but I will say that Rumi’s kitchen still reigns supreme for Persian cuisine. I would rank Delbar #2. Excellent service here and the aesthetic is totally on point!

We ordered the lamb shank and the Sultani kebab, and both were delicious with amazing flavor and tenderness. The food tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The service was also excellent — the servers were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. For dessert, we tried the baklava, which was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Overall, highly recommend this place if you want great food and great service. I’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant, great music, and the hostesses were so sweet. Food was delicious!!! Loved the hummus and the chicken kabob was the best I’ve ever tasted. I did asked the bar to put my mocktail in a wine glass and they said it would change the drink (whatever that means 🙄). I’ve asked other restaurants to put a mocktail in a wine glass and they have always been happy to do it. And as a former waitress, if a guest wanted their drink transferred to a wine glass or flute, I would have no issue with that because I’m aware that some people choose not to drink alcohol due to pregnancy, diets, alcoholism etc. but still want to feel included. The manager checked in on us and it gave me the opportunity to share with him the importance of making people who don’t drink alcohol feel included, which I really appreciated. Our server seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive. The chocolate cake was divine, but the pomegranate cheesecake was too dense and cakey. Overall, a lovely experience with great food and atmosphere, with just a few areas that could be improved.

Absolutely would return! The food was fantastic, and the cocktails were just as impressive. Highly recommend the Yalda special espresso martini and the lamb kebob. The ambience easily earns a 10/10 as well. One thing to note—parking can be limited, especially on weekends, so it’s best to plan ahead.

I had my birthday lunch at Yalda on October 26th, 2025. The whole experience was pleasant and inviting. They allowed us to decorate the dining area to fit my birthday vibe (see pictures). Our hostess Chelsea was phenomenal. I had gone earlier in the week to see the restaurant and she was kind and accommodating. Diego our server was just outstanding. He was attentive, considerate and friendly. He accommodated our requests with smile. Then there was CJ the valet and amazing human! The Food- Oh so delicious and flavorful. I would highly recommend Yalda.

My family and I had such a wonderful experience at Yalda! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully done. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and presented with such care. A very special thank you to our server, Diego, who made the evening even more memorable. He was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. His thoughtful service truly elevated the entire dining experience. We left feeling full, happy, and already excited for our next visit. Highly recommend Yalda to anyone looking for a great meal and exceptional service.

Food was ok, not as much as I expected but that was the only thing that was not quite good. The service was amazing , especially Sammy was really good and kind to us , even though he didn't understand half the things we said ( due to an accent ) .quite crowded but we had a reservation. It was four of us and we had quite a big meal, the bill was 134 dollas , tbh I don't know if that's high or not but now you know what to expect. And if ur going here, I would recommend the outdoor patio, don't worry it's closed and it has heaters so it isnt cold during winters. Has a good view and good ambiance. And if ur opting for the indoor dining, it's REALLY NOISY, TRUST ME!!. 4/5, only the food was meh other wise, great experience .

This place is absolutely fantastic. Dig the patio, but hit the cheat code and grab it to go, go home, fire up your favorite serial, and gorge out. Tandoori Chicken - absolute must get. Seasoned well, juicy, huge portion Lamb chops - no joke the size of my palm. The cook on these is spot on, perfect medium with delicious charred bits. Bonus points for the lentil/raisin rice, holy sh*t. Any of the dips - the hummus, baba ganoush and zataar cheese is amazing. The bread could be better but part of that is take out. I think this is in my top 3 for sure of Persian places similar to this. I thought Rumi's is where it's at but this place after several take outs grabs the top spot. It's a little pricey, but the portions are huge (great for sharing) - you won't be disappointed. Expect a wait, and the parking is a pain (pro tip - just go with the valet).

I came to Yalda while on a business dinner with one other colleague. The ambiance is lovely in the restaurant and service was prompt and friendly. The menu for those not familar with Persian cusine is a bit unique, but the server was great in explaining each dish and making recommendations. We each ordered dishes that included just meats and rice with a charred tomato on the side. While I admit I do not frequent Persian restaurants, I craved a bit more variety on the plate or having more vegetable sides to be added. The food was good and accompanied well by the sumac provided to the table. Overall, I would come back to Yalda as I do believe it to be a good representation of Persian cuisine with a beautiful dining room and great service.

FOOD: Rice was delicious!! I had the lentil raisin, which is my favorite type and it was perfect. My gf and nephew also love the butter rice. The vegan stew option had an incredible flavor. It's a simple dish but so well made. Would be happy to eat the stew all the time! It's tomato based, so be mindful of that if you don't like tomato-ey things. My gf also LOVED the baklava!! SERVICE: Waitress walked through the menu for me to point out which items are vegan. My only one nitpick on the service would be: I had to change the meal I ordered to select a different rice to make it vegan (their rice that comes with most meals has butter in it), but I wasn't able to just modify the meal for an upcharge; instead I had to pay for the other rice as a separate order. The waitress made this clear, which is great. However, I still had to pay for the butter rice since it was part of the meal and later when she didn't bring it to the table I had to ask for it to-go, rather than the waitress bringing it out automatically or asking if we wanted it (I took it home for others to eat). I would prefer this to have been offered rather than having to ask. But overall the service was very good! It's a pricey restaurant but the ambiance and quality of food reflect that.

Great ambiance, food, value for food, and service! Literally everything you want out of a mid-priced Persian & middle eastern place! Did I mention that there is a free convenient parking deck right next door?! This is a perfect place to try some unique food with great portion sizes! I would definitely come again for anything from a casual dinner to a friend's birthday. Next time I plan on trying the koobideh kabob or lamb!

Great service! Beautiful restaurant. The crispy rice is amazing. The wings are great as well. We had a variety of dishes and everything was amazing. It is in a nice location with ample parking.

I had kept hearing about this place and so when me and a couple friends were trying to get together I suggested we try this place! Everyone really liked it! One friend and I tried some mocktails. The pomegranate ginger beer is amazing and I heard the cucumber one was great too! We tried khoobideh and grilled chicken kebabs, beef kebabs (soltani), and a couple different styles of rice. The tahdig was amazing and so was the shrin zerishk (Hopefully spelled right). Our server was fantastic and kind and the vibes there are super pretty (Lots of good instagrammable picture spots!)

We had a fantastic family dinner here. The ambiance is very classy, and the menu is great. We especially loved the polo crispy rice, and the various amount of spreads. The garlic toum is extremely garlicky! I enjoyed my chicken kabobs also. The falafel was just okay and my least favorite dish. The drinks were also creative. It's not a cheap place, but it's definitely worth a treat every now and then.

I feel like a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants have been popping up everywhere but this place is a stand out! Located in the Aria complex in Sandy Springs is this beautiful restaurant. The complex looks brand new - there is a Food Terminal and La Parilla here too. We didn't have a reservation and came at 8 pm on Sunday and were seated in the covered outdoor seating. They had gas heaters but we didn't need one turned on next to us as it was plenty warm during that time. Our server was very attentive and quick to refilling our water glasses. They dropped off a bread and herbs/cheese basket. We ordered the baba ganoush and hummus to start. Both came out not even 10 mins after ordering. The baba ganoush was smoky but with a citrusy taste. The hummus was delicious and topped with deep fried chickpeas and chili crisp. Both of these spreads with bread was the perfect beginning to a great meal. It was a big group of us. I ordered the vegetable stew since I didn't want to leave feeling super full because it was late at night. Little did I know, it was served with a heaping amount of rice and a bowl of vegetable stew with tomato sauce. It was super flavorful and had tons of veggies. Everyone else in our party loved their dishes as well. We also ordered a garlic toum, which paired well with everything we ordered. Just be warned this is super super garlicky. We, of course, had tons of leftovers because of their big servings. Overall, I thought price point wise, it was reasonable. Since we were a big party, gratuity was already included though not sure if it's always included. They have another location on Howell Mill that I will make sure to visit!

Ive been to both locations in midtown and sandy springs and both were great! We had the hummus, chicken bites, and beef shish kabob entree. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. We also tried the hot tea with flavored sugar cubes and it was amazing. First time we went we were celebrating my birthday and they brought out a complimentary baklava and pistachio ice cream. DELICIOUS. Love this place

We went to Yalda for dinner with friends, and I can't wait to go back. It is a beautiful restaurant and the staff are amazing. Our server helped us decide what to order and how much to order. We shared everything at the table, and it was such a great experience. Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend going for a date night!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a friendly valet whome I believe his name is Matthew. Walked in to the most upbeat and friendly host and the most amazing , thoughtful waiter Sami . Everthing was was top notch in food quality, and the staff and service. There was an issue with the lamb on the hummus. I told our waiter and less than a minute later The manager came made us a fresh one and comped the add on on the bill which we appreciated and continued to enjoy our meal but our waiter Sami took it to another level and was so kind to give us a dessert to share before we left . In his words he Wanted to make sure we left happy . I had the most amazing pomegranate ginger Mocktail , we ordered a bunch of different dishes to share and our food was just top tier , my favorite hands down the falafel which was the best I've had in Georgia all the dishes were great in flavor and presentation. The decor & atmosphere is stunning and romantic. I have to say we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

We tried this restaurant for the first time for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Not only the ambiance looks great but the food is also delicious. We ordered some drinks and three different spreads to try. Their bread was soft and fresh and the different eggplant spreads were very good too. I ordered their chicken shish kebab that comes with saffron rice and some vegetables. I really liked their homemade hot sauce and tzatziki sauce. Both were really good. Below are photos of the food so you can see more. Our server was great too. She was nice and service was quick. I would definitely come back to try more items from the menu next time I'm in GA.

I've been to both locations a few times, but went again a couple weeks ago and had my best experience so far. The food is always great. Best chicken wings in Atlanta. The vibe is great and it's a pretty place. Last time though Sofia was our server and she really was wonderful. Very thoughtful recommendations. Perfectly attentive service. I can't compliment her enough. Best service I've had in Atlanta I think

This place had been on my bucket list for a while, and I finally had the chance to stop by on Sunday for lunch. I had made a reservation ahead of time, but there was plenty of seating available. Parking is limited in the lot right in front of it, but there is free parking in the deck under La Parrilla. For starters we went with the spread of 3 and chose Kashk Bademjoom, Hummus and Za'atar Labenah served with a side of naan. The eggplant dish was delicious and I loved that it was served with crispy onions. I also really liked the hummus and yogurt spread. The naan was also super soft and topped with black and white sesame seeds. For our main meal, we decided to go with 3 entrees, and our waitress was super sweet and made sure to put all the meat on one plate, and rice on another plate. For the dishes we went with the lamb kabob, chicken barg, and chicken koobideh along with a side of the za'atar fries. I really liked the chicken koobideh and the rice that had come with the lamb. I'm not the biggest fan of raisins, but the raisins in that rice were delicious. The saffron rice was also super soft and smelled extravagant. The chicken barg and lamb kabobs were also very tasty, and I liked it more than Rumis. The fries were also quite tasty and the sauce it came with was delicious. The 3 entrees were enough for the four of us, and we were ready to skip dessert until we saw someone before order the Baklava before us. Since it looked so irresistible , we went with one order of the Baklava which came with 2 pieces and a scoop of Persian Ice cream. The Baklava was one of the best ones I have ever had. It was quite flaky and topped with pistachios and had plenty of nuts. The ice cream was also delicious and had notes of rose water which paired well with the Baklava. Overall, this place was worth the hype! Our waitress and hostess were super friendly and checked up on us quite often. I also really liked the decor and seating arrangements inside and outside. I can't wait to come back and try some of their wraps next time!!

I came here for lunch with a friend on a weekday and it wasn't too busy! We got the grilled eggplant spread, and fish and rice entree to share. Like most of the middle eastern restaurants in Atlanta, there is complimentary bread (like a flat bread), herbs and feta. The bread is more pita pocket like than what I expect (more flat bread fresh from the oven). The grilled eggplant bread was good, but the star of the meal was the fish and rice. It was trout with a roasted pepper sauce, and dill and fava bean rice. The skin of the fish was crispy and the fish was extremely well cooked. We ordered the zhoug to pair with the fish and it was amazing. Our waitress was also so kind and attentive throughout the entire meal.

Yalda is very reminiscent of another Middle Eastern restaurant at Avalon in Alpharetta...sure you know the one. They have two locations, Sandy Springs and Westside. We visited the Sandy Springs location. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, as I have been wanting to check this place out for a while now. I am glad we came. My boyfriend really liked it! Their menu is extensive from "spreads" like fried eggplant, hummus, grilled eggplant, Persian yogurt to all different kinds of kabobs or stews. Meat choices include beef, lamb, chicken, fish, salmon. You can also get wraps if you prefer, or veggie plates if you don't eat meat. There are a variety of salads too like beet, mediterranean, heirloom tomato. Lots to choose from, and you can choose fries, rice. They have lots of different sauces too, like harissa which is my fav, garlic, tzatziki, but just know they are an additional cost. I got the salmon with cherry rice, and both were very good. I did feel the salmon was a bit overcooked, but otherwise tasty. My boyfriend really loved his meal of chicken and steak. The bread was soft and delish. It came with the usual tarragon levaes, olives, radish slices, cucumber, and cheese. I got a fancy cocktail and my boyfriend had a mocktail that was refreshing. The atmosphere definitely screams "date night". I will say parking was hard for us, and we ended up valeting. Prices were fair.

Yalda is one of our favorite restaurants in the Perimeter area. Great Persian food, super cool dining room with a relaxing vibe, and a really friendly wait staff to take care of everything...Yalda is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots for dine in and take out.

Took my fiancé to eat Persian food for the first time and he loved it. We live 5 minutes from Yalda and disappointed that we didn't come here earlier. My friend recommended and stated that this restaurant was really and oh it sure was. We came here around 8 PM Saturday and it was packed. We didn't make any reservations so we waited about 50 minutes for a table. If you do not want to wait you can also sit at the bar which is first come first serve and you can order full menu there as well. Parking was packed during this hour and we had to circle around for a while. There are street parkings and also a parking deck which is free. They also have valet parking too. The inside was so nice and we were seated close to the open concert kitchen. We ordered lamb kabob and beef shish kabob. While waiting for our food they provided us with some complimentary flat bread, various herbs, and cheese. They flat bread was so fresh and sooo good! We loved it so much we asked for second. Both the kebobs were cooked to perfection! It was juicy and so flavorful. Our waitress, Ayana, recommended us to try this spicy sauce (Zhong) to go along with our main dish. It compliments the dish really well and just completes our meal. Our server was very attentive and got us everything we needed. Our bill came out to be about $84 for the two of us which was not bad because we were stuffed! Definitely very satisfied and happy we came here. Will definitely be back again soon.

Lauren the bartender was great and attentive. Juan was great with checking in when she was assisting others. I had a great Croft Tawny Port. I was staying nearby and walked over because I had been been wanting to check them out since they opened. Thankfully I arrived and had beaten the crowd. I was one of maybe 3 people at the bar from about 4pm until 5pm. Things picked up and as more servers arrived to work the crowd grew and the dining room became louder with people filing in. I did go looking for a Happy Hour because I had just traveled in and already had lunch but unfortunately NO HAPPY HOUR. The little bar bite snacks were great to nibble on during my second glass of Port.

To say the least, I think Yalda was a unique experience. Unfortunately I don't think this is a place I'd be running back to anytime soon. I like that there is a parking deck and parking areas in front of the restaurant versus street parking. I also like the late hours I heard they close at 10:30pm I think it was around 48-50ish degrees tonight so when we got inside we noticed it was warmer than outside but still pretty cold inside. They sat us at a table in front of the double doors that leads to the outside seating area (covered by plastic or such) but the heat turned to cold air blasting inside towards me and other patrons sitting around. I took one star off for this because I did find this a bit inconsiderate to patrons because no one really enjoys eating while cold inside of a restaurant. Our waitress seemed like very young, and soft spoken I could actually barely hear anything she was saying but we were able to get our order in. We asked if the door stays open, and if it does, could we kindly move to a different table? We asked like 5-6 people and eventually were able to get moved. We get re-seated and slowly get most of what we needed again and were grateful even though it was still pretty cold inside. We ordered: - Salmon Kabob plate - $30 - this was the star of the show. I was caught off guard when the waitress asked how I wanted my salmon like medium well or well. I've never been asked that but the well done salmon was delicious and creamy just as your typical Persian style salmon is with saffron and butter. This came with a sabzi type polo with fava or Lima beans which was tasty! - Chicken Kaboodeh plate - $16 - the chicken kabobs were not as great as other Persian restaurants and I felt like this lacked a lot of flavor. It came with saffron rice - Zhoug - $4 - if you need some added spice this is a good addition of like parsley, jalapeño, lime, spices type sauce - Baklava dessert - $9 - lovely! The baklava was airy yet buttery and sweet with Rose petals, honey, and nuts. I love how they serve (2) pieces of baklava and a small scoop of saffron icecream As far as service, this really ruined the whole experience for us honestly. It takes a lot for me to personally give out such a low star rating but service was just so lackluster. The waitress would attempt to grab our plates, silverware while we're still eating without asking if she can take it, we were still eating dessert and she was asking if she should box our ice cream (why??) and the rest of the baklava (not enough to constitute a box), we noticed every table of hers had a carafe of water yet she told us "no I'm sorry" when we asked if we could keep a carafe at our table. My date's glass was empty and I politely mentioned it to her and she finally gave us a carafe. We eventually needed a box to go for the food and I told her I wanted to box it myself and we kind of went back and forth 3-4x insisting that I box my own food. I don't know man! What a uniquely weird experience here! All in all, the food was great and if I ever come back I'd get the salmon and dessert for sure again... TO GO! lol

Came here for my birthday at the end of last year and the experience was DIVINE! We learned about Yalda from some Persian friends of ours who play traditional music here a couple of nights each week. This particular night was the restaurant's actual Yalda celebration, so it was pretty full. We'd made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance, and we're so glad we did! The lighting is ambient and the space is elegant yet homey and welcoming. We were seated right away and even got to chat with our friend before he started playing. Shortly after we were settled in our seats, our waiter came to take our drink orders and quickly returned with the complimentary naan and plate with herbs, goat's milk feta, walnuts, cucumber, radish and olives. It was all so fresh and felt like the perfect start to our meal while we looked over the menu. We ordered the grilled chicken wings with harissa sauce as a starter, and they didn't disappoint. The skin was perfectly grilled with a bit of char, and the seasoning and harissa sauce complemented each other very well. For dinner, I ordered the salmon kabob and decided to substitute the rice for the seasonal sautéed vegetable medley instead. My husband ordered the chicken kabob and substituted the rice with za'atar fries. Nothing was lacking there, either. The fish and chicken were juicy and tender, and the portions were very generous and full of flavor! Lastly, my husband had included in the reservation that we were celebrating my birthday. Our waiter let us know that we'd receive a complimentary dessert to celebrate. He brought the goat's milk cheesecake topped with pomegranate sauce and seeds, and he'd placed a candle beside it. But we decided we couldn't leave without also trying the baklava with saffron ice cream. They were both incredible! We definitely had plenty of leftovers from our meal and dessert. All in all, we're planning to come back for my husband's birthday in a few weeks. I almost didn't want to share this review... it's tempting to keep the goodness to myself haha. But go visit! You won't regret it! Oh, there must have been a bit of a misunderstanding when we ordered the baklava. It seemed that the waiter had initially asked for it to be packed to go before deciding to bring us the plated version. Well, one of the kitchen staff members still packed some to go, and our waiter didn't charge us for the extra! Our friends even played a Persian-inspired version of happy birthday for me! And one of the owners saw us taking a selfie outside as we were leaving and offered to take a few photos for us. Such a sweet night.

Reservations recommended if possible! Your whole party needs to be there to be seated. There's some parking spots shared by the plaza (can be difficult to find) or they have valet for a fee. The interior is beautifully decorated. They have an option to pay at the end using a QR code on the table but there's a fee from what we know. You can still ask your waiter to bring you the check and pay with them if you don't want the charge. A group of 5 of us shared a bunch of things. Spreads: both of them came with flat bread. - Kashk Bademjoon ($13): fried eggplant, cream of whey, crispy onion and garlic, mint. This is a warm spread and I really liked it. The crispy onion and garlic adds a nice texture, saltiness/umami to the spread that was delicious. Would recommend (4/5) - Bademjoon Torsh ($9): grilled eggplant, pomegranate, walnuts, garlic. This is a cold spread and there was something about it that I did not enjoy. Had a slightly sour taste. (1/5) Mezze - Lamb loghmeh ($13): lamb koobideh, pickled red onion, pickles, tomato, harissa aioli, zhoug, naan. The meat was tender and not gamey. The pickled red onion added a nice acidic balance to the dish. It came on a big piece of naan bread that was soft. (3.5/5) Specialty Entrees - Falafel: hummus, tabbouli salad, pickled beets, tahini, saffron basmati rice. For me, the falafel was dry. The tabbouli salad and pickled beets were very good though. (2/5) - Chicken kabob: saffron roasted chicken breast. The chicken was better than the beef dishes we got! Moist and tender, comes over a piece of naan with some grilled onion/tomatoes (4/5) - Lamb shank ($28): braised for 8 hrs, chickpeas, potatoes, saffron tomato broth, fava beans and dill rice. Was excited about this but ended up being disappointed. The flavor wasn't there for me (2/5) - Beef: we got 2 of the beef entrees but I don't remember which ones. I think it was the koobideh and a tenderloin? The chicken was better personally (3/5) - Zaatar fries ($5): standard fries with zaatar seasoning, solid. (3/5) - Saffron Rice Tahdig ($6): has the crispy saffron rice over basmati rice. The crispy part is delicious!! Not sure what they put in there (butter?) but it's sooo good. (4.5/5) The check was about $50 per person split evenly including tax and tip. If I were to come back, would get the fried eggplant spread, lamb loghmeh, chicken kabob and saffron rice tahdig.

Similar to Rumi's and Delbar, Yalda has Persian/middle eastern style food featuring kabobs, spreads, various meat and salads. The portion sizes were really good and in my experience more than Rumi's and Delbar, which was a big plus. Everything was delicious. Service was good, and the restaurant is beautiful! There is a parking garage at the Sandy Springs location.

Nice atmosphere Excellent service-Ivy. (previous visit waitress was brand new, but tried) Food Excellent. Very large portions . So wife and I shared the spread tasting . 3 items: we picked fried eggplant - best, hummus, and one of the yogurt. And shared the fantastic lamb chops- wow. Added garlic toum sauce. Last time we had the very good lamb koobideh. Daughter got tandoori Cornish hen both times and loves it. With the earlier hummus . Only negative is parking. Only a few parking spots near entrance, (just 1 handicap parking spot.) plenty free parking below Mexican restaurant , but valet parking $5 plus tip at yalda.

I am definitely going to come back here because everything was so wonderful, the service, food, cocktails, and atmosphere were also great. We ordered the hummus appetizer which had so much flavor and was gone in 5 seconds haha. For my entrée, I got the lamb leg that comes in the sauce with the rice and it was honestly so flavorful, I ate all of it ! Their house made spicy sauce is so delicious and I was dipping my rice in it, definitely get a side of their spicy sauce. If you yourself enjoy spice because it has great flavor. The atmosphere is lovely and this place is perfect for a date night or girls night out

Yalda was perfection! I came here for a lunch with my team. We all got different things and a few appetizers. The shrimp appetizer was my favorite. We ended up getting some vegetarian dishes and I heard they were good. I got the lamb shank because I had never had it before and I wanted to try something I had never had. The rice (it was two different kinds, one was dill rice) was GREAAATTTT! It paired perfectly with the shank. The lamb shank fell right off the bone and was super tender. My co-worker ordered the lamb chops and she said the same. Two other co-workers got fish and stated it was plentiful and tasty. I ended up asking for a mocktail the waiter offered. This was the best dang drink I've ever had in my life. It's a pomegranate mocktail with a little seltzer and fresh lemon juice. I can't mimic it, so therefore I'll be back tomorrow to get another. They're $10 but well worth it. The aromas are enough to get you in the door, the decor is enough to get you to stay and the food is everything to get you to come back!

Yalda is such a beautiful restaurant. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My food came out very quickly. The quality of the food was great. The star of the show was the trout, which I highly recommend. The trout comes deboned and is well seasoned the wings was also well seasoned and tender. I give this place a 9/10 because there were little things that I didn't like to my own preference/taste (such as how big the wings were, the dipping sauce that comes with the wings, & the sauce that comes with the trout). Overall I would come back here & recommend this place.

Persian restaurants in Atlanta do not disappoint! Yalda is absolutely gorgeous on the inside and the food is delicious! Make sure to share your rice and get the tahdig rice. It is so good and pairs well with any of the kabobs you get. Their kashk e bademjoon is probably my favorite that I have had in Atlanta. I asked our server (Juan, who was very helpful and kind!) if there were any halal options on the menu. He let me know that everything is halal except for the Tandoori Cornish Hen. Make sure you save room for dessert! Everything on the dessert menu looked so good but we opted for Persian ice cream sandwiches and it was amazing! Came here for my birthday. Great service, very attentive and fast. We ordered the spread trio and chicken bites for appetizers. Then we had different kabobs. They gave me complimentary dessert as well! You definitely get your moneys worth. It is so beautiful on the inside. Also had cocktails which were delicious as well. Highly recommend for a birthday or anniversary dinner.

We saw the great reviews of this place and wanted to try it out. The atmosphere is very authentic and welcoming... they have an indoor and outdoor dining area with chill lounge music. Our server was very friendly and accommodating with great advice on what to try. We had the cheese appetizer and the roasted eggplant which were very good. I had the falafel platter and my sons had the Shawarma and it was all delicious. We finished off with the lava cake and pomegranate cheesecake. We will definitely be back soon.

It's a cute Persian joint in Sandy spring. Ambience is floral and cozy. They have a bar as soon as you enter and both indoor as well as outdoor seating. Parking is available in plenty. It's free parking. Our host was nice he seated us in the indoor seating area. It was relatively less busy for a Saturday evening. We ordered shrimps and grilled chicken wings for appetizers. For mains we got the chicken sheesh kabob. My husband order the tipsy mezcal cocktail. I tried the cocktail, I couldn't taste the mezcal in it. The shrimps arrived 1st. It was four pieces of shrimp in a very interesting sauce. They were cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed them. The wings took some time to arrive but they were really good and char grilled. The entree was basic. We overall enjoyed this place. It's a nice spot to catchup with friends and chill. I might revisit.

Stopped in for Anniversary meal, wanted Persian food we found this on Yelp! Let me tell you we were not at all disappointed! The place is spacious and felt very inviting! We came in on a Monday at lunch time. We started with our cocktails and let me tell you my drink was amazing fresh and full of yummy deliciousness! But let me tell you about the most amazing hummus I have tasted! It was smooth and flavorful the toasted chicken peas were the best I have ever tasted! The Naan was freshly made soft and crunchy made to perfection! The chicken kabob was grilled perfectly and spiced making this a must try. The saffron rice was fluffy and so flavorful! The Beef Ground Kabobs had the right amount of seasonings making this a must try. The rice adds to make this a dish worth trying! We had the Baklava for dessert! Not at all disappointed this was so good and layered with the perfect amount of pistachios and honey. A definite must try! Our server was very attentive and helped make our meal an experience to remember!

I've gone to the Howell Mill location several times and always loved it, so I was eager to check out the Sandy Springs location! Yalda is in Aria Village which is limited on street-level parking spaces, however, underneath La Parilla there's a free parking garage. I was meeting some friends for lunch and it was a beautiful day so we sat outside on their covered patio. I love the boho, relaxed decor of Yalda!! The staff was super attentive (maybe almost too many interruptions) and helpful with ordering. We decided to get an order of hummus with pitas to start. Their hummus is to DIE FOR. So good and I loved the crispy chickpeas on top. For my main, since it was lunch, I got a chicken koobideh wrap which came with fries and a harissa aioli. The chicken was so tender and juicy and simply melted. The pita also was so fluffy. And the fries were seasoned so well and I absolutely LOVED the tangy harissa aioli! Love the consistency across both locations and can't wait to return!

Delicious. Transporting. Elegant. Did I say delicious? Seriously just come. Get a variety of meats/barg to share with some rice (they are all good!). Some craft cocktails and conversation and you have a perfect date night or memorable family meal.

I went to this restaurant with some co-workers. The parking is located in a nearby deck, most spots close seem to be non vacant already. But close walk. The restaurant is very decorated and the staff are nice. The food came out very fresh. The pita bread was baked very well. I ordered the lamb with saffron rice. It was good, but maybe cooked a tad longer than what I asked for, no big deal though. The portion was hefty, so definitely a bang for the buck.

We went to Yalda for a close friend's birthday! Overall we had a good time. The overall ambiance was really good, I love the dim lights vibe. The service was excellent too, our server went above and beyond on any of our requests! The drinks are really mid . My friends ordered watermelon margarita , peach margarita and they tasted nothing like it. We asked the server to change the drinks and she did. Aperol spritz was mid too. Food was above average nothing outstanding ,we have had better for the money we spent. The food lacked flavor. Appetizers were better than the main course. Loved their feta cheese. Their hot sauce is to die for, that's one thing I would 100% recommend to enhance the flavor. The server brought out complimentary dessert for the birthday and it was a pomegranate ice-cream which was very refreshing and tasty. Overall wouldn't mind to come again! But for special occasion I don't think so!

Excellent Food, Awesome service by server Mr. Haru and beautiful ambience. They got indoor / outdoor seating. Management is friendly and on their game when it comes to getting things done.

I came to meet some friends and it was shocked when I was told that my reservation never made it into their system. I was glad that we chose a Thursday because if it was a weekend we would have had to go to a fast foot restaurant. They were able to squeezed us in and sat close to the bar. The bartender was nice and efficient. The restaurant it is small to medium size but very well decorated. They have an outside area and the food is great! The biggest thing that you need to know, it is that the restaurant it is on a hill so if you park in the parking deck, be ready to go up a small hill. However, I would suggest the Valet parking that it is right in front of the Restaurant or drop the person off in front of the restaurant and then go park under the deck. Specially if they can't walk properly. (Valet $5) and they have limited self parking in front of the restaurant. We had tabouli, humus, lamb kabobs, Persian rice and every was tasty and delicious. If you visit this Restaurant, be ready to loosen up your belt and enjoy a flavorful food.

This place has a very authentic feel. The food was all great and the portions were very large. I ate with a group of four and we ordered apps for the table and were so full we couldn't finish our entrees. The lamb was excellent as was the falafel. All the rice dishes we tried were unique and delicious. The wait staff was helpful with suggestions and attentive

This was my first time dining at a Persian restaurant and surely won't be my last! We had reservations at 6:30pm on a Saturday and were promptly seated in the area upstairs overlooking the restaurant. We started out with an order of hummus and naan along with an order of falafel. The hummus was very flavorful and the naan was super fresh. We ordered several entrees to split along with three of the sauces the tzatziki and garlic sauce were amazing. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly and I loved the saffron jasmine rice it was served with. The chicken koobideh was one of my favorites. The ground chicken was packed with flavor! Everything was amazing, my only critique was the water. The water was very off putting and had a strange taste to it.

This place is perfect in every way. We were seated right away Ambiance is very soothing with flower decors They have upstairs seating, which was perfect as we were away from the crowd. Sofia, our server, was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes and was detailed. Very impressive. Very pleasant personality, patient and attentive. When I complimented her knowledge of the cuisines she recommended, she said that was part of their training. Food was delicious. The chicken was soo seasoned well, tender and juicy. The bread was warm and super soft. Loved it Salmon is a must to try. Definitely recommend this place

It's loud, crowded, but there's of course a reason for that. Got a drink, Falafel, and a Chicken Kabob. The Falafel is very crispy, and there's 3 on the plate. They're not bad, but perhaps a bit small for an appetizer. The Kabob makes up for it. The chicken itself is great, it's a colossal portion and it's juicy. Highly recommended. The Rice was sort of bland, but there's again, a lot of it. It could use some salt and pepper, maybe a sauce on the side. There's probably a great sauce to pair it with that I'm just not aware of. Yalda is upscale and fancy and makes a great date night. It's definitely a spot where dressing up for the occasion is reasonable. With a good ambiance and food to match, this place is a keeper.

This is my go to date night spot. The drinks are refreshing and the service is exceptional. My favorite thing is the za'atar dip with the pickled mushrooms. Sometimes me and my fiancée come to Yalda just to get two servings of this dip because the fresh bread and dip is absolutely to die for!! It is the best thing on the menu by far. If you haven't been you need to put this in your bucket list!

Crazy busy even on weekdays for a reason. Every dish was consistently hitting the mark. We tried couple of items from the mezze list and different types of kobideh and barg meats. Every one of them was simply awesome. Service was a little choppy. We received a wrong dish delivered to our table. But management more than made up for us for having us try the wings for free and they were also one of the best we've had. Service - 4/5 Food - 4.5/5 Ambiance - 4/5

Yesterday was the absolute perfect day to throw on a sundress and have lunch and catch up with my Yelp buddy. My friend chose this restaurant and I was all in. I LOVE Persian/Middle Eastern food, so I didn't have to think twice or give alternative suggestions. I loved everything about this place. The inside is very gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The restaurant is located in a planned residential community, so navigation may try to lead you to the private residential parking garage. They have surface parking and a retail parking garage. Just pay attention to the signage. The ambiance is welcoming with a lovely bar and a covered spacious outdoor patio. The food itself was seasoned well and delicious. I took off one star for the misstep from the kitchen, but the situation was rectified within minutes. Our server Daniela was sweet and not overly intrusive, so the service was great. Yalda is an excellent addition to the Sandy Springs community. Watch out Rumi's Kitchen. You have some competition. I'm looking forward to my next return visit.

Really nice place to eat. The food is amazing and the portions are very big. If the waiter recommends that a dish is big enough for two believe him. If you can sit outside please do. It is great out there. Highly recommend Yaldas.
