I had a rather unpleasant experience with Yale. I received my fridge yesterday but it came with a trashed hardwood floor and stairs. They send three delivery guys with combined weight of 200 lb to bring in a 600 lb fridge. I really wasn’t going to get frustrated but the complete lack interest in what they did infuriated me. To top it off, I was charged $1.8K more on the credit card for no reason. It looks like you need some extra time, money and nerves if you are buying from them.

I used Yale years ago and they're way on their game. In fact they're so sharp that they have to turn away business. If you did not buy the appliance from them, as an example, they cannot service your unit. They're simply too busy. One time I had an issue and in a few hours the owner of the company found me and asked for details. Perhaps this was ten years ago, maybe further back. I remember the name 'Steve' and I remember how blown away I was with his following through with relevant action. Yale is at the tip of the spear. Want to succeed in business? Copy YALE.

I ordered a LG WashTower with an electric dryer. First, I like the appliance. It uses what I wanted. But: They delivered a gas dryer. This was after they sent a team, to my house, especially to check out that everything needed for the install was ready. They did get the electric dryer here in 3 days. But, here's what is most upsetting. The install team leader demanded that my husband write his review as the leader stood over my husband, watching what was written. The delivery of the wrong appliance plus the enforced review makes me feel pretty skeptical

What went well? Everything. My salesperson (Tam) is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You deal with real human beings who can answer questions. The delivery was arranged much quicker than I expected. And the guys who delivered my washer were patient, extremely careful ( despite tight corners) and thorough. They made sure everything was working before they packed up. Plus I like supporting a local business.

Not cheap, but excellent service and good quality. I've bought all my major appliances from Yale since discovering them years ago. I've cente never been to the showroom. I do my research online, compare prices for the models on other sites (they have price matched before), perhaps have a phone call with sales for questions and then buy on the site. They deliver and it usually goes very smoothly. We recently bought a LG fridge which got a fatal error message the day after they delivered and installed it. They had a service tech stop by the same day to check it. We got a lemon From LG. They could've repaired it under warranty but told us they preferred to order a new fridge since r a repair to the closed system would've shortened the life of the fridge. Unfortunately LG was backordered, so the next day they brought us a loaner fridge to hold us over. Today they were back delivering the NEW new fridge. We're grateful that we bought from Yale, because I can't imagine dealing with this issue with a big box store. We also buy from them because if their excellent & professional repair service; since the pandemic they only repair what they sell. We're very happy with them.

Excellent service and installation people. To set your expectations, it took a month to fix the stove. Here's why and here's how it works: (1) Service guy swings by (once a week is my route, I'm far away (cape)). Service guy ascertains what parts are needed. (2) Parts are ordered. (3) Parts arrive. (4) Service guy swings by again and installs parts. Very professional, no complaints. Robot texts with reminders. Real-time updates on when service guy is arriving. A class act all the way.

They arrived five minutes before the delivery window, they completed delivery in 15 minutes, they checked to make sure the machine was operating correctly, they cleaned up all the packing materials, and they removed the old washer. I had intended to get a pair of washer/dryer from one of the big retailer stores, however their delivery policy wasn't exactly very clear and didn't make me feel confident. So I had some suggestions to look for local dealers and came across Yale Appliances. Their ordering process was easy and straightforward. The representative called me the next day and got my order set up and ready to go. Definitely felt appreciative that they took the time to go over each of the items make sure its all covered On the actual delivery date they were actually early and I quite like the real time tracker they had. The delivery people are all very efficient and fast and I actually felt a little bad making them wait a bit but they were all very professional. Over all I had a great experience with Yale and I would definitely recommend them for your appliance needs. Their prices essentially matches the major retailers so its not really any cheaper going with the big names.

The sales process was great and delivery went smoothly. The first time I tried to clean my oven I got an error message. It was within the first year, so I called Yale and was told "don't use self-clean, it'll wreck the electronics". Later I got the same error using the broiler but it was now past a year. Repair guy says the problem is that the power was not properly installed. The plug was not mounted so it was wiggly and being pulled out of the socket, so that when the oven requested more juice, it errors. Maybe this was something the delivery guys couldn't fix, but they should have said something. I need a contractor to make a space in the wall for proper installation.

I purchased a significant amount of appliances through Yale. there was some issues with my speed oven and the oven. But yelled did cover that and repair it unfortunately, the sapphire mini fridge that I purchased the cover for the label was not on the mini fridge. There was a sharp object covering the two holes, which is extremely dangerous for my children, I emailed Yale to resolve this issue but wanted to price gouge me and charge me 119 just for a service call to look at it when I know the problem. I also know what is missing. Also, we have not moved in yet because we had just passed inspection. I am appalled. They lack of customer service.

Really disappointed with Yale. We bought multiple appliances from them over more than 15 years and trusted them to sell us high quality machines. Then they sold us a lemon, a combo washer and dryer, that constantly clogs. After we bought it and started having trouble with it taking up to 6 hours to wash and dry a load of sheets, we went online and read terrible reviews with many people having the same problem. We wanted to return it and buy separate washer and dryer units from Yale 4 months after buying it but they wouldn't allow that because we were past the return period. Now the machine needs servicing for a second time and we've had it only 7 months. We spent $1900 for the unit and $600 for a service plan and have to wait more than 2 weeks for servicing. When you spend that kind of money you expect a machine that won't cause you so many problems the first year. When we have the money we're going to get rid of this lemon and buy separate washer and dryer units and sadly it will not be from Yale.

What I bought: a $5000 new Thermador cooktop from the factory. What I got: A literal (contained) explosion the first time we powered it on. You would think this alone is sufficient to have this fire hazard replaced by Yale or Thermador under warranty, but you would be wrong. They sent someone to repair it, at which point we were told the motherboard was fried and needed to be replaced. 2 weeks later, the tech decided to completely disembowel every wire and magnet on my construction-debris-covered countertop. Shockingly, this did not fix the original problem, and now the cooktop also does this cool thing where it sees (and tries to heat) 4 imaginary pots and there is kitchen/construction debris INSIDE the no-longer-sealed screen. Yale's response from the "higher ups" (odd term used by the customer service rep): "Maybe that debris is not on the inside because you don't know how inside/outside of glass works. We'll try again with more parts next week." Good point Yale, sure I taught at MIT but that pesky inside/outside thing is hard, whew, glad you guys caught that. Never mind that the entire instrument is completely non-functional and possibly dangerous. Edited to say: After posting this a supervisor did get back to us and we are getting a new replacement cooktop that Yale will install. I do appreciate this, but feel they can update their processes so these situations don't happen to others. I have adjusted my rating appropriately given the rest of the experience.

Background: I've purchased 2 appliances over the past 2-3 years from Yale Appliance. First purchase was an LG French door refrigerator, the 2nd was an LG Washtower (washer / dryer) in July 2023. The fridge purchase and installation was great. The LG washer/dryer install was not so great. They blocked my dryer vent by crushing the vent hose, so I had to have them come back out to fix it. When they came out a 2nd time, they fixed it but tore the wallpaper in the room. When I initially contacted them, their 'damage response' person (Corey) was very responsive and came to my home to assess the damage. I was given 2 options: a store credit for the damage or they would pay for a wallpaper contractor to repair it. Well, after spending 3 months trying to get the wallpaper guy to come to my house and fix it, I gave up. Over the past week, I tried texting and calling Corey. No response. Had to call Yale customer service 3 times. The supervisor of the damage team never called me back. On the 3rd time I called, an AWESOME woman named TAYLA (who I initially spoke to during call #1) took the initiative to help me and provide a refund for the damage (not a store credit, but a refund to my cc). So, overall is 3-star rating for how persistent I had to be to get my issue resolved (well, wallpaper is still damaged...), but a 5-star rating for Tayla. Tayla is the reason why we've decided to purchase another appliance from Yale...because at least someone will put in the effort and do the right thing to treat their customer right.

It was so refreshing to not have to fight for fairness. They are competent, professional and they stand by their products. Their installation and service teams are top notch. They are the best.

Sigh. I have bought a number of kitchen appliances from Yale, and I've always thought of them as a highly reliable, customer focused company. They've also serviced those appliances, and it's always been great. Maybe yesterday was a blip with a poor salesperson? I'm not sure. I can say that I left offended and disappointed, questioning whether I want to go back to Yale in the future. Backstory: Our vent hood died yesterday (the thing over your stove that removes smoke etc when you are cooking), and we visited Yale to look at replacement options. Given our prior positive experiences, I would have 100% bought something from them if we found options that worked for us. Having done just a bit of internet searching beforehand, I saw that there are a range of possible hoods that fit our needs from different companies. Our former hood was a Thermador and while they no longer make the size we require, a number of other companies do. After walking in, we were assigned to work with someone named Rhonda as our salesperson. She spent the majority of time with us making assumptions without asking about our interests and needs. According to Rhonda, we don't look like people who are serious cooks - she stated this without prompting, so perhaps that is why she was bent on convincing us that we should not to get the Wolf hood, which was literally the only one they carried in the size and specifications we needed. I don't disagree that spending more on a vent hood isn't ideal, and the Wolf was indeed expensive, but I was flummoxed that she didn't ask us whether that price range was acceptable to us. (She did give us a quote to take with us in the end). She also spent considerable time convincing us that our standard size hood (42 wide x 18 long x 24 deep) with standard vent hole out the back was not at all common and hard to find in general, and tried to convince us to go with a smaller size that was 36 inches. Maybe that's what they carried? I'm not sure. But, she didn't share that generally speaking it's recommended to have your hood somewhat larger than your range not just for aesthetics, but also for removal of smoke etc. (It's ideally supposed to be 6 inches wider, which explains why our older one is exactly 6 inches wider than our 36 inch range top). I also asked her to also show me range tops, because ours is also very old (purchased at the same time as the vent hood that just died) and we need to consider buying one in the nearish future. She just walked me over to them and just waved her hand at the stove tops saying "this is a Thermador, this is a Wolf..." for about 1 minute, with no attempt to explain their differences beyond 1 quip or to discover what our interests and needs might be to decide what to replace our original one with (it's also a Thermador). All told, this was not a great experience.

Great experience! Both GE Dryer and Washer broke about a week apart. We had purchased a 5 year warranty with both. I would highly recommend the extended warranty when you purchase. From scheduling the appointments, to the text confirmations to way cool Dylan the awesome tech who diagnosed the problem with both. Dryer was fixed with a couple replacement parts he had in the truck. Washer part needed to be ordered. We made an appointment with him that day to have the new part installed when it arrives. Dylan went above and beyond! Yale services all the appliances you purchase from them, which is a HUGE BONUS. They know how to service the products they sell and they stand behind their appliances. Yale will always be our choice.

Reviewing SERVICE: We have bought 3 major appliances at Yale Appliance in Framingham . Weeks ago our Flat Top Electric Range began not heating in BAKE mode. We called and tech arrived in almost 2 weeks and brought a Bake Coil as thought was that coil failed. Turned out not a coil issue. He located problem to be in CONTROL MODULE (P?N 5304495221. I asked what repair cost would be as I already paid $120 to get tech to house. He looked it up and stated total cost would come to about $575, with labor part normally at $180. That means the Control Module cost to us is $395! We were unsure of what to do but we agreed to repair. It was a tough decision at first as original price was $849.99 (total was $1003.28 after taxes, delivery, etc). I then went to the Frigidaire replacement parts internet site (factory site) and incredibly the original part #5304495221 is priced at $270.49 total. That means Yale marks it up by more than $125 as they must get it for even less than person not in repair business. I called Yale and told them what I found and asked why the huge markup. I was placed on hold while the woman apparently must have asked her boss what to answer. When she got back online with me her reply for big markup was "but we warranty the part for 5 years". They have a 50% markup for a 5 year warranty for the part???? If you buy an appliance for $1000 the typical 5 year extra warranty is approx $250, or 25% of total. But get a part from Yale and get charged 50% more..maybe 60-70% more at their cost? Needless to say, though repair order is still alive for Jan 6, we were thinking about going to Poirier Sales to look at a few Electric ranges to consider. If we find the right one (had one in mind) , we may switch to Poirier.. One note: spoke to Service Mgr on 12/23/24 and after a 20 minute discussion, I decided to let them do the repair because we like the range and he understood our issue. Be aware if you get service and need parts. The warehouse is nice and you pay about a 20-50% mark up over the exact same items at other places. I figured this mark up meant that if something was damaged there would be great costumer service. NO! The markup apparently just goes to profit. Had an item sent to us that was damaged. Item cost $1300. I could get the exact same item of line for $800 at another place. Been two full days since reporting the damage and they still can't figure out if they can exchange it (even though it says online that they have the item in stock). Have called them and emailed and they can't explain what they are waiting for. If we bought from the $800 I would expect them to take a while and hem and haw. But not for the over priced place. Been overpaying from this place for several years. Won't do that again.

Latoya came out and did a very thorough job of looking over and diagnosing issues in the subzero, and replacing the air and water filters. She found an issue with the door gasket and we scheduled a follow up appointment to replace as they needed to order the part. She cleaned the condenser fins very well. She even cleaned and polished the outside of fridge. Professional and Great to deal with. Excellent Job Latoya and Yale.

Yale Appliance use to be fantastic. You bought the appliance and there were no installation issues. I recently bought a stackable washer dryer. After 2 site visits and to-date 2 installations I still don't have a completed job from Yale. Instead I have units that are too big for the space (not sure why this wasn't flagged in either of the site visits) and dryer that leaks. What makes it even more frustrating is that on each of the to-date 4 visits from Yale I get a different install technician who flags new issues and the response from Yale is "this is weird. This doesn't normally happen." I'll update this once the job is complete but based on recent installation reviews this seems to be a downward trend with Yale. Be careful buying from them -- the installation has gone down.

The Yale delivery crew were excellent! They arrived about 20 minutes early. They removed the old washing machine and protected the the wood floor against scratches with a flat board, installed and leveled the new washing machine, hooked up to water and drain and ran a test load and checked for leaks. The whole installation from arrival until done took 15-20 minutes. The 3 man crew was friendly, efficient and professional

The team quickly sprang into action to resolve refrigerator fit issues in my 100+ year old home when my purchase turned out to be 3/4" too wide. Took back my purchase without any visible eye-rolling or frustration, provided alternate options that worked within my request for a standard- depth, and not counter-depth fridge, came out for free to measure and confirm before delivering and installing the next day without an additional delivery charge. I purchased a washer and dryer in 2/24. Resulting from faulty installation by Yale Appliance, some of my clothes and bedding were ruined and my kitchen flooring and hallway are water damaged. A few months after installation I realized that the installers hooked up the hoses incorrectly. As such, some of my clothes shrunk and were discolored. Yale reimbursed me for the damaged clothes and came back to switch the hoses. Recently I noticed that some of my kitchen tiles and wood flooring outside of the kitchen was buckling. I had someone come out to investigate and it turned out that there was water coming out from one of the hoses, which likely occurred when they came back to correct the hot/cold hoses. Due to all of the water under my floor I need to replace the flooring and bottom cabinets. I had my kitchen renovated 5 years ago so I'm devastated. I will be filing a claim with Yale so their insurance company can pay for damages. However, I will not be able to live in my place while the renovation occurs as I work from home. Yale needs to hire and train individuals who are competent at their job. This situation was totally avoidable.
