The food was great, has a nice ambiance and also has a outdoor seating area. Giving 4 stars didn't see welcoming enough.

Mediterranean fast casual restaurant in Culver City. Came here on a Monday night to grab dinner with a friend around 6:40 pm and there was no line. The parking situation is a bit difficult but I found street parking (free after 6pm) about a 10 minute walk away. It’s a bit sketchy before you get to the collection of restaurants so be forewarned. Alternatively there is a Trader Joe’s lot where some people suggest you park at. At Yalla you can get a wrap, bowl, or salad and customize your sides and the meat. I got the kids sized portion ($6.25) of the shalafel (chicken schwarma and falafel) with the tabouli as my side and French fries plus a pita bread. It also comes with a drink, so I got the organic chocolate milk. The falafel was dry and the chicken was on the drier side as well. The rice wasn’t seasoned but I did like the tabouli and the warm pita bread (note it doesn’t come with hummus). The servers were friendly and you pay at the counter at the end (they do take credit card). There’s some indoor and outdoor seating and there’s two gender neutral bathrooms in the back. The tables weren’t wiped down so you might want to grab some napkins at the dispenser where the utensils are located prior to sitting. They do compost and you clean up after yourself once finished. Overall it’s a quick bite that’s healthy and good if you’re keto/vegetarian/vegan but parking may be difficult and some may find portion sizes to be on the smaller side.

Unfortunately, this place is changing and changing for worse. Food: 3 out of 5 Ambience: 4 out of 5 Customer service: 1 out of 5 This place has good food with good portions. However, they are struggling with their staff and as a consequence they are not very friendly or welcoming to help their customers. I like the location of the restaurant and they way their menu is constructed but again I feel like their shortcoming are really affecting the overall experience. I would not recommend this restaurant at this time.

Great food and service, as well as many friendly workers in an enjoyable atmosphere. Somewhat like a Mediterranean Chipotle. However, it doesn't offer any pastas or many other grain-made foods, which is a large part of the Meditteranean diet. Aside from that, a good restaurant in Culver!

Yummy!!! What's not to like? Except beets. Beets are a terrible vegetable that should be banished from the world but my veggie friend who ordered them thinks Yalla's beets are delicious. I suppose you can stay, beets. I suppose you can stay. Yummy notes: kefta (lamb/beef meatballs) and my three side choices: fire colored pepper feta something mix, potato salad (except that less than done potato slice that snuck in), and tabouli (a happy tomato, cucumber, bulgar wheat salad). Plus it came with rice, veggies, and lentils. A dance in my mouth! I drank housemade pomegranate lemonade. Only less than yum yummy note: my pita was a little dry. But back to good: all the table wear is compostable! Sweet deal.

Good chicken shawarma but I wished their portions were a bit bigger

Food isn't bad. I did not like the portion sizes. Very expensive for the amount they give you. I've been to other Mediterranean eats that are way more generous than this place. The drinks are good. The meat has good flavor, but as I mentioned before.. not enough. Just scraps. The quality of the salads. Neither great. I wouldn't come back here personally.

Very fresh, local food that is Mediterranean inspired in a fast casual set up. The prices are affordable and you get a nice amount of food. I ordered the plate with the gyro steak protein. The sides are really fresh and delicious - very flavorful and a plate comes with three sides. The shredded carrots and red cabbage sides tasted fresh. If the steak gyro was a little thinner cut and less chewy, it would have been perfect. Staff is very friendly and great place to sit for lunch. The hibiscus drink was good as well.
